Chapter 6: Pureblood

He could no longer ignore it. There was something he was sure insignificant, irritating him... Yet he couldn't quite shake the feel that something was, if just slight; different. When he saw the water silently spill from the hunter's eyes, he thought he felt something was amiss. Among all the pleasure that currently overwhelmed him, was buried some unknown emotion brewing beneath it all; that weak tugging of something other than resentment, other than contempt, becoming more persistent, tugging at the strings that bind his heart.

Could it be pity? Were these bizarre feelings he now held, that of sympathy towards the hunter?

It couldn't be, not in a million years, most certainly not when he was the cause for his torment anyway. He brushed such ridiculous thoughts away before he could dote on it. He couldn't admit he wasn't grateful for Zero avoiding any sort of eye contact with him, especially while he processed lingering thoughts and feelings, masking a look that screamed nothing but apathy. He couldn't possibly allow Zero witness him falter at such a stage, to alert him of such a slight change in his features from a brief moment of weakness. This would be the last time he layed eyes upon the silverette, and he would make sure the hunter never, ever forgot this experience. As though it were an autonomous response, he leaned in to lick away glistening tears from amethyst eyes, only realising what he had just done when he spoke, almost too softly for his own ears.

"Stop crying," The salty taste of sorrow lingered on his tongue. A short pause filled the isolated space of silence that followed, before he continued, his eyes not betraying any emotion. "The look doesn't suit you" he continued monotonously. What he had meant to say was he didn't like it when the ex-hunter cried, but he had cleverly trained himself not to blurt out the first thing that came to mind; he had learned such a thing among living with humans for so long. But seriously, who was he kidding? He loved it when the hunter cried, most of all when he was the reason behind their downfall.

If he wasn't paying so much attention to Zero, he might have missed the way his eyes widened ever so slightly at that, as new tears followed the path of the old. Zero moved to hold his eyes closed tightly, he refused to glare at Kaname, he refused... How could he so much as look at him and expect him to listen? How could he do this to him, and expect him not to cry?

He only cried harder at his dire cruelty.

Somehow, it was as if Kaname and his mind were two seperate entities, as though his mouth was running off something completely different entirely. That little voice at the back of his head mocked his train of thought, his silly choice of words. How pathetic. He held Zero's still legs around his waist, closer to his body. The silverette wasn't resisting anymore. Why wasn't he fighting back? Had he lost his will?

The formidable will of a hunter, surely Kaname should be over flowing with pride? Being able to shatter the will of a Kiryu; it was a feat truly unheard of.
Something was definitely wrong. Not that he cared... or anything foolish of the sort, his voice of reason chipped in.

The fleeting feeling of longing to leave suddenly embraced him, yet such a feeling had disappeared as soon as it came. Zero had upset Yuki... Surely he had deserved everything Kaname had done to him thus far, right?

Now is not the time to be questioning your actions, Kaname, he chided himself.

When Zero finally opened tired eye-lids, sorrowful pools of lavender almost seemed to absorb the purebloods now fixed chocolate gaze. With a distinct absence, the hunter stared back almost as if he wasn't there, captive in a world of his own; perhaps one where that of purebloods were non-existent, perhaps one where he were truly happy.

As though he partly remembered what his visit here entailed, Kaname resumed his actions from earlier, but not harshly. He continued to muse; unaware his actions were vaguely gentle, as he ground into Zero's body once more with slow rhythmic thrusts. For a fleeting moment he thought his ears caught an attempt at a muffled moan. Something sparked in the pit of his stomach at that, repeating the action, curious to hear more of the hunter's noises. Why he wasn't making this as excruciating for the hunter as possible -he didn't know. It were as though his body took action for him, dissembling from his mind once and for all, driving on the pure thrill of seeing the writhing form he held to him, so very vulnerable.

A purebloods desire to dominate was one above all. To be in control was a formidable feeling indeed, and having the hunter, at his leisure, in his very embrace, he lead him with his actions as though he took a secret pleasure in such actions. To witness the hunter that always showed nothing but disdain, and hatred trying to hold back strangely delicious moans and almost desperate whimpers, was an arousing sight itself to behold.

After a while of Kaname's seemingly unconscious ministrations, Zero couldn't hold back the involuntary moans that sounded from deep within his throat, purring almost as though he were a cat being scratched behind the ear. Kaname took a hold of Zero's arousal, surprised to see it rock hard, letting his hand swiftly mirror the pace of his gentle rocking, as he slid himself in and out of his used, and painfully aching body.

"Mnnnhh" Zero felt his cock twitch when the warmth of Kaname's hand enveloped him. His touches were always like fire on his skin, deadly, yet in a way Zero would never admit; sensual.

"S-sto-stop" He didn't want this. He didn't want to enjoy something as disgusting as this- with him. He couldn't withstand those eyes that were boring so intently into his own, those same eyes that never ceased mocking him; just as he knew they were even now. He shut his own tightly and dug his nails into the purebloods upper arm, slowly drawing blood. There was nowhere to hide his embarrassment, he couldn't escape; he hadn't been able to for a long time now.
He just didn't have the energy in him to protest anymore, to kick and shove, to curse... What was the point? None of it changed anything; none of it made it any better... He just bore with it, with the thought that Kaname was at least doing it to him softly, showing him, at least an ounce of mercy... but in reality, it wasn't mercy at all. It was all just another way to mock this very petty existence of his.

The smooth chocolate of Kuran's gaze never left his face, Zero could sense it. When he opened an eye only to see those dark smouldering ones fixed in on his, he shut it tightly. Curse his vigilance. If not for the darkness, Kaname might have noticed that deep scarlet blush that adorned always so pale cheeks.

Zero was made to whimper ever so slightly when Kaname's pace gradually slowed, until he ceased movement altogether. The sudden need for release was overbearing, painful. Kaname brought soft moist lips to Zero's ear and couldn't help the slight amusement in his tone and the small upward curve of his lips.
A seductive and low husky "Beg" was all he murmured.

"You bastard! Finish what you started!" He growled, irritation igniting his being, albeit the fatigue and ache embracing each and every one of his limbs. Mentally and physically he was drained from this torture he was condemned to endure.

He would never beg, he was no purebloods dog.

This damned vampire never ceased to piss him off. He narrowed his eyes-lids as he glared back; like a staring competition he would never be ready to give up, a game between the two that was forever constantly ongoing. It was just their way.

The Silverette's features softened immediately when the hand resumed its firm yet playful actions, succumbing to that of the granted pleasure, as Kaname began playing with his flesh, teasing his thumb along the slit a few times before he resumed his gentle caress. He couldn't help the grin that played at his lips as he watched how Zero's facial expression morphed into one of rapture. With a grunt, he thrust with renowned haste more forcefully into the hunter, as thought that look alone was enough to completely undo him.

Zero tried not to scream out in that moment of pure ecstasy that physically engulfed him as Kaname hit him in all the right places, but with reluctance, his voice ruthlessly escaped him, his climax embracing him in a euphoria he hadn't experience in a very long while. Kaname gladly followed, as the overbearing heat and the tightening of muscles convulsed around him. With one last thrust inside him, he came hard; allowing the hunters screams of pleasure submerged his conscious mind.

Neither of them moved. The only noise that filled the enclosed space was their heavy panting as they gradually calmed from their pleasure induced high. Zero couldn't say anything, he couldn't look at the pureblood at all. Falling weakly to his knees, he slouched against the wall with Kaname's abrupt release of his body.

He was throwing him away again.

Kuran let his dark eyes meet those ever sorrowful hues of lavender once more, before leaving that dark, cold room for the last time.

Yuki POV

She didn't know why he had cast him away with such a burning fire in his eye; one that screamed resentment, hatred, if one were to squint; but she, she didn't need to. She knew Zero well enough. She could see it all on that faux impassive face of his. Those constant flickering of emotions, the rage that lit up soft tormented lavender orbs, as she continued to stare into that seemingly dull and lifeless gaze. She had later cried, sobbing into the comfort of Kaname, and the warmth of his shoulder. He had comforted her.

What had happened? Had Zero... somehow lost hope? That's what it had looked like, and it tore Yuki to shreds. The strongest person she knew was falling apart, and she could feel every rip and tear. She fingered the metallic silver of the gun that he had given to her what seemed like an eternity ago. He wouldn't make her do it, she had refused. If he could so easily give up on life itself and all that it held, how could he ever expect her to pull that trigger?

"Yuki?" She sniffled, hastily wiping her face of the tears that fell like steady drops of rain down her cheeks.

"What did he say to you?" She remained silent, while Kaname internally panicked, he wouldn't dare. Yuki refused look at him. "Yuki" His voice was firm, yet composed, trying so hard to keep a leash on the sudden anger that rushed like an impulse of pure adrenaline through his body.

"What did he do to you?" She continued her gentle sobbing into his shoulder.

"He didn't do... anything," she paused, and that was what hurt her most. Zero wasn't even trying to fight back, "Kaname?" She looked up at him, the perfect picture of ignorance. Somehow, he seemed bothered by it for no more than a split second, before she spoke again.

"What happened to him?" She frowned. Was it something she had done? Why caused him to shout at her so ferociously? Perhaps it was her not doing enough to get him out of there. Perhaps... she could help him.

Kaname looked down at her, a frown marring his features, his flawless facade.

"I could give him my blood- I could get him out of there- we could continue as normal- zero doesn't have to stay locked up in there-he- "

"Enough Yuki," his voice continued to harbour that same level of firmness, yet it was soft, "breathe." He spoke with a distinct calmness, cupping the girl's delicate cheeks between cold fingers as she sobbed. He wiped the tears from her eyes.

It's all my fault...

"It's not your fault Yuki" he spoke, as if able to read her mind. "He is under my care, being fed my blood. I'm trying Yuki, I'm trying for you." The perfect facade; the perfect lies.

He doesn't need you, he thought bitterly. That's what Kaname truly wanted to say, but he stopped himself. "I've got it under control, don't worry Yuki."

"Then why does he have to stay locked up?" The same question Kaname was growing tired of answering, the same lies he were tired of spewing.

"It's not safe" Yuki sighed dejectedly as if she already knew the answer to her question.

"You shouldn't even see him, not really."

"But I-"

"It's not safe." He cut her off once more. "I wouldn't be happy if someone dear to me got hurt because of my carelessness and Kiryu's lack of control." His voice dropped low. Of course, he would only blame it on himself. "He is falling Yuki, it is not something I can help for much longer." He lied. As long as Kaname kept feeding zero his blood, it would stop Zero from falling, but he had to draw the gap between the two siblings as far apart as he possibly could. Truth, lies, it didn't matter anymore.

Purebloods were possessive creatures and he didn't want some unruly hunter stealing away what he'd already marked as his own. Kaname embraced Yuki in his arms. "I would like you to drop by the moon dorms tonight. I'll have Ichijou escort you to my room." With a gentle gesture of brushing stray brown locks out of her eyes and tucking it gently behind her ear, he walked off, a chaste smile touching his lips as he had gone to torment his captive.

Kaname POV

For once in his life, he was disgusted in himself, disgusted because he'd let himself get so attached, obsessed even. It was an innate response for vampires to form attachments with their prey, but for him; this was no valid excuse. He was a pureblood vampire, the highest of ranks in all that made up the vampire society. He clawed sharp nails through his hair, severe frustration tugging each motion. He let the one thing that couldn't happen, happen.

For some reason a looming sense of loneliness clawed away at him; he couldn't deal with the sudden onslaught. All this time he had that same incessant feeling of loneliness clawing over him like the clouds on a stormy night. The time he had been waiting for, for so long was finally here, but now that it had arrived, he found himself not wanting to leave. Yet, he wanted escape. Zero wasn't the only one locked up. In his mind, Kaname felt isolated, he longed for the same freedom. Why he continued to keep Zero locked up, he really didn't know... Did he really want him to suffer? Was it because he felt so alone trapped in this continuous cycle of life?

He wanted to put someone else through the pain he had to so dismally endure every day. It was the only way to ease his self torment. Yet, how was a simple feeling such as pity suddenly breaking him? Purebloods felt no pity.

Yuki was coming to see him tonight as he had requested her. He would have to do it. He would have to change her, and then leave. Take Takuma and all with him.

The blinding moonlight did nothing to lighten his dark room, as he sat there waiting for that light and delicate knock on the door, imagining that blushing face just waiting for him on the other side.

And there it was, that gentle 'tap' 'tap' 'tap' he languidly walked to the door, pulling it open to the blushing face he had been expecting to see. "H-Hello Kaname-Sama" He smiled. He loved it when she said his name, so softly, so nervously.

"Come in dear Yuki" He said low, but friendly. He lightly grabbed her arm and towed her hesitant self in with him.

'I must do it' He spoke with fierce determination, echoing in his mind. Bringing her to the sofa and lightly sitting her down with him, he cupped her ever warm growing cheek.

"Is there something you needed, K-Kaname?" She subconsciously leaned into the touch.

Cut to the chase, he though.

"Do you know what you are?" He questioned. He adored his sister, but he hesitated again as he thought about it. Did he really want to condemn his dear girl to a life full of thirst, full of bloody violence? He didn't really have a choice though, did he? "Do you know what you are truly?" Confusion overtook her features. There was a long pause and a heavy silence as he stared at her.

"Run away with me Yuki" He changed his tone completely, he sounded almost desperate. He needed escape, he need to be out of here, he needed to be away from him.

"K-Kaname?" Her large brown orbs widened in shock at his words, and even more when his face advanced on hers. He hesitated slightly, looking into her worried gaze, before bringing his quivering lips to her neck. He gently caressed the delicate skin with his tongue, as her hands moved to grasp at Kaname's upper arms. She wasn't sure whether to push him away, or pull him closer.

I must do this... I must do this...He continued to chant.

Closing his eyes, he sunk his aroused fangs into the soft bed of flesh. For so long he had wanted to taste Yuki's sweet blood, so long... He had one arm hooked around her while the other one muffled her pained screams. As much as it pained him too, he had to do this; for her sake, and his.

He couldn't help the disappointment. The sweet crimson elixir he'd been looking forward to tasting for so long, almost tasted sour to him, it was
nothing like his blood... His blood. He mentally shook his head. Stop.

Pulling away he sunk his fangs into the skin of his wrist and filled his mouth up with blood, pulling away again, he brought it to Yuki's lips, forcing the liquid into her mouth, forcing her to swallow.

He pulled away and he watched the way her long hair grew out like tendrils, a river of chocolate locks cascading around her heart-shaped face. The way her eyes widened and those once burgundy orbs turned the darkest shade of crimson. A fraction of her innocence, a fraction of her ignorance, faded, gone.

That was when Zero's face flashed to mind, the look he gave him when he smelt his blood, even when he spoke of it, the hunter didn't think he noticed when his eyes flashed that very shade for a fraction of a second. Kaname missed nothing.

Cradling her delicate frame in his arms, with one hand he guided her face to his neck. He could feel her hesitation, and bared his neck to her, presenting it like a prize for the taking, bringing her face closer to every level-E's dream come true.
He winced ever so slightly as she succumbed to the sight and bit harshly down.

Closing his eyes, he whispered "Let's start a new life together"
