Build up that bass

Mina and Izuku were on the dance floor with their friends. Yui and Shoto were also with them, but were the only ones not dancing, content with casual comments while sipping on their drinks.

'The nonchalant duo!' Izuku praised their ability to stay calm because he was in a different situation altogether. He honestly didn't know how to feel because he was dancing with the three ladies; his girlfriend Mina, his former crush Uraraka, and Momo.

He didn't know if it was a good thing or bad thing that all three of them were getting along perfectly.

"Here babe, have some." Mina shoved her plastic cup to his mouth as he took a sip. His eyes winced from the bitter surprise of alcohol.

"Ack, it has liquor." He said as he wiped his lips.

"Well, duh," She giggled before taking a gulp. She held in a burp before looking around. "Where's Toru?" Just only realizing that she wasn't with them anymore.

"She said something about dragging Bakugo to come dance with us!" Uraraka giggled at the idea of the explosive boy joining them.

"Someone should have gone with her, for safety of course." Yaoyorozu actually made a joke.

Then Izuku glanced at the girls, seeing that they all had a cup and were not bashful about drinking it.

"I was the one who spiked the punch." Yui admitted outright as both she and Todoroki took a sip before they let out a content sigh as if they were drinking hot chocolate instead.

"Okay, that makes sense." He glanced at those two with deadpan eyes before turning to his girlfriend. "Just don't go too crazy with the drinking okay?"

Mina rolled her eyes at his boy-scout side. "C'mon, it's a party. You should get a drink, it'll help you relax."

"Yeah, I know Mina, but still." His voice had some apprehension in it.

"She has a point, Izuku, have some fun today, you've more than earned it." Momo chimed in.

"I guess a drink won't hurt." He ruffled the back of his hair before caving in. "C'mon Todoroki."

"I just got this." Referring to the cup in his hand. Izuku gave him a look, "Alright, I could use a refill, anyways."

As the two left Mina mumbled under her breath, half annoyed half dejected. "Why'd Izuku listen to Yao-momo, and not me..." She wanted to tell herself because Yaoyorozu was the responsible type and people usually listened to her, but her intuition told her it was something else, something that had been creeping in the back of her mind but that she kept ignoring. A new song began to play and it caused Mina to push those thoughts to the back of her head again. "Whoo, I love this song!"

At least she did so in appearance.

"This is too weird." Izuku mentioned to Todoroki as they reached the punch bowl.

"Hm, what is?"

"Mina and them hanging out like there's nothing wrong."

"Is there supposed to be something wrong?"

Izuku caught his tongue, realizing he may have let something slip that he shouldn't have. He forced out a laugh as he took a sip of the drink he had just poured himself. "No, I guess there shouldn't be. I'm p-probably still getting used to her being my girlfriend and the change in dynamics it brings."

"Like what's happening between you and Kirishima?"

"Todoroki, I really don't want to talk about it right now." Izuku groaned, he had told Todoroki about what happened, but it wasn't like Bakugo who was roped into this situation, Todoroki was more of a trusted confidant who was outside of the occurring events that didn't really have any advice, only able to listen. "But yes, I assumed it was like that for Mina."

Todoroki was assuming that he was referring to the possible tension between Ashido and Uraraka.

"Let's head back, I was kinda enjoying dancing with Mina."

As they were on the dance scene, Toru was doing some of her classic eavesdropping. She had been looking for Bakugo to get him to dance with them but she had stumbled onto something better. Off to the side of Jiro's house, Kirishima and Bakugo were talking about Mina and Izuku!

At this point Kirishima had drank enough to where he was able to openly talk about his feelings for Mina, even telling Bakugo about the time he saw Mina stand up to a villain before they had enrolled into U.A. He talked about how he admired her and all that mushy stuff that goes along with any intoxicated speech about a crush. He was even debating about confessing to her but thankfully Bakugo convinced him not to, much to Toru's dismay.

Unlike Kirishima, who already had a few beers in him, Bakugo was still on the first beer, this time on his second sip. Toru could tell because of the empty cans around one and a lack of cans around the other. There was a long enough pause in the conversation and she figured it was the best time to step in, "Hey, I've been looking for you guys, everyone is dancing in the backyard, what are you waiting for!" She stumbled in perfectly like a loud-mouth that had been desperately searching for them to have some fun and not someone who had heard most of their conversation. Although she wasn't present for the part about Kirishima and Izuku having a falling-out, meaning she was unaware of that situation.

Bakugo would usually tell her to scram but it did look like his friend could loosen up a bit. He told them to go and that he would stay and finish his drink. Toru was having none of that and dared to drag him along with Kirishima, who wasn't really protesting.

"Oi, do you wanna die!" He yelled at her with shark teeth.

"Aw, take a sip of your bottle." She was only able to act snarky because of the alcohol in her system. The reason it was hitting the girls faster than the boys, well namely Mina, Toru, Uraraka, and Momo was because they had hung out all day and had forgotten to eat. The girls were drinking on an empty stomach.

"It's a can." He grumbled.

Although he was growing a bad feeling from her boldness. Bakugo began to recall when his father mentioned something to him about never mixing women with alcohol and now he was being dragged with Kirishima to face exactly that! And Deku probably wasn't going to do any better himself.

He yelled it out when he realized that they were all going to, "DIE!"
