Hit that beat!

"Hey guys, look who I found trying to hide from the fun!" Toru was dragging Bakugo, Kirishima, and somehow Tokoyami, who got roped along as well.

"I feel bad for them." Izuku mumbled. "Tokoyami only came to the party for his friends." He could empathize with the bird boy because he didn't like parties either. Izuku was with the girls and Todoroki, both him and Yui still standing to the side while they drank, making indifferent comments, almost as if they were trying to outdo the other.

"I never knew it until now but I have to see Tokoyami dance." Mina mentioned with a straight face.

"Oh my God babe, you're right, I have to see it too." Izuku even had a pocket notebook ready to document it.

But before they could do that, Izuku and Kirishima glanced at each other after Toru let them go.

"Hey,"

"Hey."

They both said it with an added husky tension in their voices as their innocent enough stare was almost a glare. Even though they both would have wanted to put their situation behind them, their egos, testosterone, and the alcohol wouldn't let them.

Those around them, like Bakugo, Momo, Todoroki, and Toru were weary of the interaction that was going on. The only one who didn't notice the tension, or didn't want to notice it, was Mina. She took another sip of her drink before pulling on her boyfriend's arm, "You still remember those dance moves I taught you in our first year?!" Hinting that she still wanted to dance with him.

Thanks to Mina the tension was swept under the rug, how she wanted it to be.

"H-Huh? M-Mina, hold up." He took a sip from his cup as he let his girlfriend take the lead in dancing.

"Well, there they go. C'mon Bakugo, I wanna see if you're the natural dancer I always pictured in my head!" The only one that Toru hadn't let go of was the short-fused dynamite.

"No, you wanna die." Bakugo realized there was no escape and decided he needed to drink a bit more if he was gone get through this.

"Hey, Mina wait up." Toru called as she started to follow them, taking Bakugo with her.

Uraraka had taken Tokoyami away as she was also curious about his dancing skills.

Kirishima finished his beer after he saw Ashido being clingy with Midoriya.

"Oh, dear I guess that just leaves us, doesn't it, Kirishima." Momo's lips raised ever so slightly.

The music and drinks were hitting. Everyone was dancing with the upbeat atmosphere vibrating through their bodies. The body heat and sweat were keeping the crisp night air away, keeping the party hot and heavy. During some explicit songs, the girls were getting provocative with intense grinding as they lost themselves to the night.

Todoroki and Yui had disappeared without anyone realizing.

Bakugo was fed up with Toru's teasing and took her into the house to find a room, much to her excitement.

"Wow, good for Toru, I guess." Mina could assume why Toru was giggling even though it looked like Bakugo wanted to kill her. Her friend was probably curious about something spontaneous after Mina gave her the details between her and Izuku. "That was probably why she was messing with him so much."

'Crap, I just lost my safety net for Kirishima!' Izuku gulped, ignoring the fact that Kacchan left with a girl. For Izuku, the focus was on the fact that Bakugo wasn't here but Kirishima was. Thinking about it caused him to look over in his direction, "Wait, why is he dancing with Momo?"

But he quickly looked away when he made eye contact with her half-lidded stare.

Izuku decided to ignore his internal dilemma because it looked like his girlfriend was having a good time.

"Izuku, hold me!" Mina whined adorably, wanting to slow dance with him in the middle of a song that clearly wasn't meant for that. Her words were slurring as she leaned on him, wrapping her arms around his neck, it caused some of her drink to spill on the back of his shirt. He held in a sigh before putting one hand around her lower back, holding his cup with the other hand, moving his body in sync with her.

"Sure, babe whatever you want."

Jiro took note of the only pair slow dancing in the crowd and played a song to match their tone and soon everyone was slow dancing with them.

Mina was resting her head on his cheek, absently staring off as they twirled around. Her eyes gained some focus when she noticed that one of the pairs dancing a bit close to them were Yao-momo and Kirishima. She didn't know how to feel seeing them. There was the uncertainty with Momo, she never really thought about it until lately but why were Izuku and her so close? They were even using first names for each other before Mina was even in the picture, but the thing was that Yao-momo has been more or less one of the positive ones during her relationship with Izuku, even smoothing things over with Uraraka earlier today. And then there was Kirishima, honestly ever since she and Izuku started dating, she's done her best not to think about him. The worst was that they were apart of the same friend group and had actually become pretty close, she didn't want to think about how Kirishima might feel towards her because she really valued how far their friendship had grown from since they were only acquaintances when they went to the same junior-high school. 'It's a party so why am I thinking about these things?'

"Hey sweetie," Izuku started to speak and it pulled Mina away from those thoughts, "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date next weekend?"

She lifted her head off his chest, looking up at him with dazzling golden eyes. "Really, Babe?!"

Izuku chuckled with a small blush surprised by her cute enthusiasm. "Um, yeah, you know how we're hanging out with everyone this weekend, I was thinking it would be nice if it was just me and you next week."

She didn't reply but the shine in her eyes was still there. She unhooked her arms from around his neck and finished her drink. She let out a quenched breath before grabbing his wrist and dragging him away.

"Eh? Mina?" He was confused as to what his girlfriend was doing and where he was being led.

Mina replied as she looked back, giving him that wink. "I've always wanted to make out with my boyfriend at a party, too!"
