First-Year Mementos: Part Two

"Come on, Toru! They finally opened!" Mina pioneered forth, almost as if she had a flag and was about to claim her victory.

Her best friend simply yawned, rubbing her eye. "I mean it's nice but why did we have to come so early anyways?"

Mina flared her nostrils and pumped her first confidently stating, "So I don't forget!"

"That's the reason!" Toru fell to the side. She picked herself back up, sighing, "I feel bad for what Midoriya puts up with."

Mina let out a sheepish giggle as she played with the tip of her horn, her pink skin growing just a bit redder around her cheeks. "Well, I mean it's for him so it evens out, right? Besides I was just too excited, so it's definitely the first thing we got to do!"

"I guess, it is actually pretty cool."

They were walking through a store, Mina was walking at a hurried pace looking for it. Toru lazily tried to keep up while on her phone, bugging Kacchan with wake-up and good morning texts.

After accomplishing her objective, Mina and Toru went on to have the fun day they planned out.

Izuku had finished his breakfast and began to leave, needing to take a break from Todoroki. "Oh Tokoyami, if you want, we can head up to my room?" Izuku pointed back at the elevators with his thumb.

"Yes, if it isn't an inconvenience."

And that's what they went to go do. Izuku was sitting on his bed and Tokoyami was sitting on Izuku's desk chair.

"So Tokoyami, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" He scratched his cheek as he asked, although Izuku already had a feeling of what this was about.

Tokoyami had his eyes closed and arms crossed as he thought of his words before speaking them, "Hm, Midoriya I don't know if you have noticed but well rather, Uraraka and I have become more friendly as of late."

Izuku let out an uncomfortable chuckle. "Um, yeah, I think I get where you're going with this Tokoyami, and honestly you don't have to ask me about this, about Uraraka. I'm dating Mina remember? I actually feel out of step without her around, even though it's only been a few hours, hehe."

Tokoyami let out a breath he was holding able to hear the sincerity in his words, maybe more importantly Tokoyami was able to hear the lack of sentiment when he said Uraraka's name to how his voice was when talking about how he missed Ashido. "Thank you Midoriya and although you are with Ashido, I felt I had to do my due diligence out of respect as your friend."

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck, "Y-Yeah I guess I would do the same if the shoe was on the other foot, huh? W-Well there's nothing to worry about from my side. Besides it's clear you two enjoy the other's company, so I say go for it." Izuku encouraged his friend.

"I appreciate your words Midoriya." Tokoyami thought about whether or not he should say something he had been dwelling on since the party. "I used to believe only physical light was able to restrain Dark Shadow but ever since Uraraka... I don't know."

Izuku lifted his right hand at his hand, "It makes sense, Uraraka is pretty amazing." Thinking of the time she helped him control black whip. He dropped his hand as he stretched out his body standing from the bed, shaking away the weight of the conversation. "Hey, do you want to go with me to the school library? I'm gonna return a book and look around." Izuku mentally cringed, 'The only reason I haven't returned the book is because of its sentimental value, I checked it out the same day Mina and I became boyfriend and girlfriend.'

Tokoyami also got up, heading for the door as he spoke, "Thanks but I must refuse, Dark Shadow promised to act as Uraraka's Stand and strike poses together while I snap the pictures."

"Too wholesome."

After Mina and Toru had breakfast with her family, they went to meet up with some of Mina's friends. As expected Toru got along with them really well especially when Toru started gossiping to them about Mina's boyfriend.

"And then Midoriya ran after her!"

"You don't have to go into so much detail, geez." Mina let out with an embarrassed grumble.

One of her friends let out a wow while the other asked, "So what happened after that Mina? "

She started to play with the tip of her horn, "Well he caught up obviously and you know, we worked it out, I'd rather not go into details like Toru but he explained everything." Mina's cheeks grew into a flushed side. "It was our first major fight and it doesn't make sense but I'm glad it happened, because ever since then it feels like me and Izuku have been closer than ever..."

They heard it in her voice, how Mina talked about Izuku and had to ask, "Have you said I love you to each other yet?"

"Hm?!" Mina was shook by that question because the answer was technically both yes and no, but also neither of them. "O-Oh, not yet, but I mean eventually... right?" At this point it was more as if she was asking herself. 'Ever since we both agreed to pretend we never said it, that's actually what we've done...' And Mina didn't know how to feel about it because at this stage in their relationship they were in love right?

'I said we were closer than ever, so why haven't we brought it up or been able to say it to each other ever since?'
