Chapter 19
Everyone blankly stared at Thunder after he said that and Vala was trying to think in her mind what he was talking about.
What was Queen Ash referencing? Our creator?
"What is our creator that she is mentioning?" Vala asked Thunder.
"I'm not sure," Thunder said. "But it can't be good."
"You're telling me," Flint said. "It seems like every time we get a break, another problem likes to come to light for us to have to worry about."
"Well that does always seem to happen," Qibli said. "Even once you finish your own problems, more come along for you to deal with."
"To be honest, I've been getting sick of how much keeps on coming up," Tsunami said. "Every time I get a break, another thing pops up and my help is needed in some way or another."
"You know, no one is forcing you to help out each time," Winter said.
"I know that!" Tsunami said. "But then again it wouldn't be right for me to stand back while innocent dragons die. I've already dealt with enough of that through our own war."
"Then stop complaining," Sundew said.
"Argh!" Tsunami said.
"Okay everyone calm down," Vala said. "We don't need to fight each other right now, instead let's just be friends."
"Fine," Tsunami said.
"Okay so let's get back to the topic of this creator," Vala said. "What or who could that mean?"
"Well I have an idea," Abrax said.
"Let's hear it," Vala said.
"So remember when Thunder showed us that simulation of the war that happened at Phales eight thousands years ago?"
"Yes," Vala said.
"Hang on there is another continent?" Tulsi asked.
"One sec," Vala said. "Continue Abrax."
"Okay," Abrax said. "Anyway Thunder said that since the creation of dragons on that continent, they had been fighting."
"Well that is at least what I got from my family's records," Thunder said. "But some of it is myths and legends."
"Well regardless of where it came from, I think it tells about something," Abrax said.
"And what's that?" Moon asked.
"This creator that Queen Ash talks about must be what created the dragons on Phales."
"And we are all descendants from the dragons there," Vala said.
"Wait, we are all?" Winter asked.
"Yes," Abrax said. "Our tribes all came from the hybrids of that continent. They must have left and started a new life elsewhere, obviously in the continents that we are in now."
"Which would eventually turn into the tribes that we have now," Qibli said.
Vala now understood where Abrax was going and decided to chime in.
"So since Queen Ash was there at the beginning, something must have happened that allowed her to know about our creator," Vala said.
"Exactly," Abrax said.
"And Queen Ash is very ambitious," Thunder said. "When she wants something, she will stop at nothing to get it."
"Including using our continent as an experiment for something," Vala said.
"Maybe it wasn't just your continent," Qibli said.
"Huh, what do you mean by that?" Vala asked.
"Well from what I can tell, this dragon, Queen Ash, has been alive for a long time. Is it not too much to say that maybe she tried experiments on our continents as well?"
"That could be true," Thunder said. "From what my family knows, she has been rumored to have visited Pyrrhia and Pantala as well."
"She definitely did," Abrax said. "Nova showed me the book that was written by a dragon during The Scorching."
"The Scorching," Moon said. "That's an event that happened five thousands years ago in Pyrrhia."
"Yep and look at this," Nova said, opening up the book and flipping to a page that showed all seven tribes of Pyrrhia painted on.
"You see that this was a painting from a dragon after they got rid of something called scavengers," Abrax said. "Whatever that means."
"Those are humans," Winter said. "They are tiny and are very intelligent. You don't have them here?"
"Nope, nothing like that," Vala said. "Unless you meant dragonbite vipers."
"Oh you have those here?" Qibli asked.
"Yeah but Webwings and Cavewings don't worry about them," Flint said. "They have a natural immunity to the bite."
"Huh, interesting," Tsunami said.
"But regardless of these humans, there is something in the picture that you need to see," Abrax said. "It's right… here!"
Abrax pointed at a spot behind all the dragons and Vala looked to see the miniature blob of a dragon there.
"That's a dragon," Winter said. "But not one I've seen before."
"That, Winter, is a Lavawing," Abrax said. "And we think it even might have been Queen Ash, which shows that she has been everywhere."
"May I say something?" Moon asked.
"Sure, go ahead," Vala said.
"Okay," Moon said. "Well I think you are right about Queen Ash being at Pyrrhia and I think she may have been involved in a certain event."
"What was that?" Qibli asked.
"The eruption of the volcano at the Nightwing island," Moon said.
"Really?" Tsunami said. "Starflight said that the Nightwings knew it was going to erupt naturally and nothing else."
"Maybe," Moon said. "But I've heard some thoughts from the Nightwings who escaped from the eruption and who live in the Rainforest now. Some of them thought that they noticed the lava acting differently days before the eruption."
"How different?" Winter asked.
"Like moving against each other," Moon said. "Not going in one direction but instead multiple directions, almost like something was moving through it."
"Queen Ash did say that lava doesn't hurt her," Vala said. "So maybe that was her there."
"Maybe," Moon said. "Again these are thoughts I got from other Nightwings."
"I don't think it's off to guess that Queen Ash has had her claws everywhere," Sundew said. "She sounds like an evil dragon that would be everywhere."
"Well let's hope that we can stop whatever this experiment is that she is doing," Vala said. "Because I have a feeling that things will get terrible if we don't."
Vala then had a strange surge go through her. She didn't know what it was but out of nowhere she closed her eyes and started speaking in a strange voice.
Earth, Fire, Water, and Air
The four elements of the world
Combined together they can construct
But also can destroy
They oversee everything in the middle
With one who rules over all
Where it seems like everyone's in unity
But in reality is not
In order to be able to break this hold
You got to find the dragons who are bold
Who will stand up for what is right
Even when the goal is not in sight
To find the fire dragons who are brother and sister
You must look to the leader of the lands
To find your water dragon who is brave
You have to look into the deepest wave
To find your earth dragon who is strong
You have to go where they don't belong
And to find your air dragon who is fierce
Look towards the storm that has gone on for years
Unite these dragon in their goal
To fight for the freedom of all dragon souls
Only then will peace be achieved
Or else everyone will be deceived
That was the last of the lines when Vala opened her eyes and her voice returned to normal.
"What… on earth happened?" Vala asked and looked around and saw everyone staring at her.
"Did you just have…?" Tsunami said.
"Another one?" Qibli finished for her.
"Huh?" Vala said. "What's going on?"
"Vala," Moon said, walking up to her.
"What?" Vala asked.
"You just had a prophecy," Moon said. "Like how I have them."
"Really?" Vala said. "That's what happened just then?"
"Yes," Moon said. "But this one was different."
"How?" Vala asked.
"Vala," Abrax said. "Your prophecy wasn't the same as Moon's."
"Yeah," Moon said. "Vala, we now have two prophecies to solve."
Everyone sat in silence as they processed what that meant. Not one prophecy to fulfill but two now.
Is that even possible? Vala thought. First off we have to figure out where this new prophecy goes towards and then what it is about and then how to solve it? Can we do that?
At that moment, Queen Aurora came flying down to them with a panicked look on her face. None of her guards were around her which meant something was up for her to come here without her guards.
"Woah, mom what's up?" Hunter said, trying to comfort his mom.
"It's… it's… it's…," Queen Aurora kept saying.
"It's what?" Hunter asked.
"It's him," Queen Aurora said. "Dredge is here."
