Epilogue
"Ahhhh! Ahhh!"
"Calm down Helen," Cyrus said. "I know the burns hurt but until Queen Ash gets back, you have to deal with them."
"Agh, why couldn't she have done it before she went off to go attack the Drillwing base?" Helen asked. "Seriously, she healed herself and left me like this!"
Helen's scales were bloody and still hot from the lava that she fell in. It was a pain moving and everything hurt.
I swear if Queen Ash doesn't get back soon I will…
"Ok stop your whining," Queen Ash said, appearing from a portal. "I'll get you fixed up."
"Finally!" Helen said. "Do you know how much I've dealt with? First my own dragonets defeat me in battle? Then my son and the dragon I wanted as my executor become king and queen of my tribe?! That's so unfair!"
"Don't worry, we'll get them back," Queen Ash said.
"Yeah well we better soon because I can't call myself Queen Helen until they are disposed of."
"Oh don't worry, I have the perfect plan for that," Queen Ash said. "Cyrus, where is Granite?"
"Sorry boss, but reports have said that she failed her mission and was captured by the Drillwings."
"ARGH!" Queen Ash said, smacking her claw into the wall. "I gave that ungrateful dragonet one job! And she can't even do that with an army that she was in control of!"
"Well she is still a dragonet," Cyrus said.
"That's no excuse!" Queen Ash said, pinning Cyrus to the ground. "When I was young, I was dismembering dragons with my claws!"
"Uh, maybe that was because you had animus powers," Cyrus said.
"Are you trying to challenge me?' Queen Ash said.
"No, not at all!" Cyrus quickly said. "Just that your powers are… magnificent and I would love to have them!"
"Hmph," Queen Ash said. "Well if I get Argus back then I will think of giving you animus powers."
"Oh yes, thank you, your majesty," Cyrus said.
"Um, hello, I'm here as well?" Helen said. "Still in a lot of pain?"
"Oh shut up already," Queen Ash said and then said a few words and Helen felt herself get better. Her burns disappeared as well as the blood on her scales.
"Oh that feels much better," Helen said, standing up. "Thank you Ash."
Queen Ash flinched and launched her claws at Helen, pinning her to the wall.
"THAT'S QUEEN ASH TO YOU! NOW THAT YOU AREN'T A QUEEN ANYMORE, YOU HAVE TO RESPECT ME!" Queen Ash screamed in Helen's face before letting her go.
"O… Ok, Queen Ash," Helen said.
"Good," Queen Ash said. "Now we can get back to business."
"Um, your majesty?" Cyrus asked.
"Yes?" Queen Ash said.
"Are we going to get Granite back at all?" Cyrus asked. "She is still a use to us, right?"
Queen Ash didn't speak for a while and Helen wondered what she was thinking. Queen Ash then swooped towards Cyrus and landed in front of him.
"No, we are not," she said to Cyrus.
"Wha… What?" Cyrus said. "But don't we need her?"
"Not anymore," Queen Ash said. "After her failure at the Drillwing base, there is no reason to have her on the team anymore. She is only a dragonet after all so no loss there."
"But, but…"
"Was I not clear?" Queen Ash said, bringing her face directly in front of Cyrus's. "WE DON'T NEED HER!"
"O… okay," Cyrus said and ducked his head.
"Argh, you are so annoying," Queen Ash said and walked away from Cyrus.
"Wow, I don't understand why you keep him along," Helen said to Queen Ash, while walking beside her. "All he does is obey but never succeeds in anything."
"Well I still need him," Queen Ash said. "If he doesn't show any skill or success in anything then I will use him in my master experiment."
"Oh and what's that?" Helen asked. "You still haven't told us about it."
"I don't need to," Queen Ash said. "You don't need to know it."
"But then how can we help you with your plan if we don't know it?" Helen asked.
"Don't question me!" Queen Ash screamed. "You don't need to know it and that's final!"
They then walked down the tunnel in silence before they reached a room with a sleeping dragonet. The dragonet woke us as they entered. He let out a scared yelp and back into a corner shaking.
"Oh don't worry Peacemaker, or should I say Darkstalker?" Queen Ash said. "You are okay with me."
"Who is this dragon?" Helen asked.
"This was once Darkstalker," Queen Ash said.
"What?" Helen said. "That doesn't look like Darkstalker at all!"
"I know," Queen Ash said, rubbing the dragonet's chin with her claw. "Stupid dragonets on Pyrrhia used his own magic against him to change him into this powerless dragonet with no memory of his past self."
"Well that isn't right!" Helen said. "He was amazing, I heard stories about him and looked up to him! He was my idol!"
"Yeah, yeah, you've told me this a bunch of times," Queen Ash said. "Anyway, those dragonets thought they were safe. With that stupid Nightwing's prophecy, they thought that after changing him, he would go on and live an ordinary life, marry the tribe's blacksmith and have two dragonets with her. The only thing that Nightwing didn't see though is the vision I blocked from her mind of me taking him."
"So you can control others vision's?" Helen asked.
"No, not exactly," Queen Ash said. "But I can block myself out of any of their visions which means that they will never know what the outcome will be."
Helen thought this was fascinating.
"Oh I wish I could have visions like you do!" Helen said.
"Argh, what is it with dragons wanting my powers today?" Queen Ash said. "Okay, just let me get Argus back and I'll think about it."
"Oh thank you, Queen Ash," Helen said.
Queen Ash grumbled and laid down to look at the dragonet who was supposed to be Darkstalker.
"So did you get rid of Dredge?" Helen asked.
"Not quite," Queen Ash said. "He used his final bit of animus magic to get away before I could disable it from him. He is still out there but not a threat anymore without his magic."
"So, what are we going to do with him?" Helen asked, pointing at Peacemaker.
Queen Ash got back up and looked at her.
"We are going to change him back," Queen Ash said. "And after he is back, we are going to destroy that little resistance that is in the Drillwing base."
"Nice," Helen said. "And I can finally get my revenge."
"Yes, you can," Queen Ash said. "And after we destroy the resistance, Darkstalker and I will go on to rule the world." Queen Ash turned to Helen to finish her sentence. "Together."
