Snooping Where One Shouldn't Snoop

Asshole Cop; better known as Richard Mooney came by himself to the Hewitt residence. Something did not sit right with the story that he was told about the missing fugitives. He was a veteran cop, and therefore, felt it within his rights to investigate the property. Search warrant or not. He had this feeling that the criminals were dead, and even though he didn't give a shit one way or another, they had constitutional rights; one of them being a fair trial in front of their peers. It was daytime and there had been no activity on the property which he thought was unusual it being a farm. The animals were milling about unheeded in their pens. Mooney got out of his car, cursing the texas heat and walked up on the property. No one was anywhere as far as he knew, save for that girl Wolf. The cute girl was out back swinging quietly on a makeshift swing. He smiled slightly. He had no feelings of resentment towards the girl, just her mother. That woman was…odd.

Wolf turned around not surprised he was there at all. She heard his car pull up and heard his heavy steps despite him being quiet. That was something her family taught her. Listen to everything around you. Mooney came up to the girl smiling. "where's your parents?" he asked warmly. Wolf scrunched her nose. "Mama? Oh, she's with Tea Lady at the shop. I ain't got no daddy. And the others are at the wrecking yard with Nubbins. I can't go to the yard coz my mama's really protective

of me. Mooney sighed. He couldn't do anything more; legally. The girl shown no signs of abuse; physical, sexual, or mental. In all aspects she seemed to be well cared for. Mooney thanked the girl and continued looking around. If she said anything he wouldn't have given a shit either way.

Tea Shop

Tea Lady was sitting outside on her porch with an agitated Frankie. The portly woman wasn't to happy when Frankie became agitated. People got hurt. Or worse. Tea Lady was probably the more nicer ones out of the family. She didn't kill anyone. But she didn't put a stop to it if her family killed either. Tea Lady was Luda Mae's cousin. "I don't like that fuckin' cop around my baby." Frankie snarled out of the blue. Tea Lady looked towards the younger woman. "I don' think he's gonna do nothin' hes gonna be needin' a warrant." Tea Lady said simply hoping to calm Frankie down. Frankie whirled around. "You don't need no warrant to search a place if its an emergency. And I ain't gonna let no damned pig around my kid." Frankie concluded as she got to her feet ready to head back home. Tea Lady sighed and shook her head. 'Frankie, you need to calm down before you get your poor kid killed one day.' She thought to herself. Lately Frankie's temper concerning Wolf was becoming more and more worse. She was still loving towards her daughter, but when someone or something threatened Wolf, that something or someone was eliminated without much thought.

Back At The Ranch; dinner is served

Frankie came back later than she intended and the smell of a home cooked meal greeted her. It smelled of pulled pork. At first she thought it was but then remembered they had at least 2 male hogs and 3 female, one of which was pregnant. And pulled pork took quite a few days to make if you did it properly. She saw Bubby wearing a cops hat and playing with a badge. His shiny as he had simply stated. Bubba was a man of few words, his vocabulary consisting mainly of grunts, moans, shrieks etc. but he did know a few words. Wolf was already digging in to her food as if she hadn't eaten in days. "Who was it?" Frankie asked. "mfcopfmgh." Wolf muttered through a mouth full of food. Frankie cocked her head. "What?" she asked. Wolf swallowed. "it was that mooney cop mama. Bubba caught him snooping in things he shouldn't be snoopin in and he got took care of." Wolf said with a grin. She didn't tell her mother that when the cop had found the bones of a long forgotten victim Wolf had come behind him. In surprise he had pulled a gun on the girl and before he could utter some sort of apology, he was taken down. Wolf grinned remembering his blubbering and his poor attempt at bargaining, saying how he'd keep his mouth shut and not say anything. There was no way the family could be so sure he'd keep his promise. He had to go.

After dinner Frankie told Wolf she could stay awake for a hour longer but then had to head to bed because she had school the next day. Wolf groaned and grumbled as she usually did, and as usual, it did no good: 10:00 pm on a school night and as late as you want on weekends and days off from school. One half hour later Wolf had fallen asleep sitting next to her mama watching television.
