"What is it…Miss Harley Quinn?" Page asked.
"Harley Quinn?" Rio managed to squeak out a whisper.
"Who?" Charlie asked.
"I have seen her before!" Stephanie murmured.
"Why do I know that name?" Rio thought.
Little did Rio know that she was losing her grip on the chicken! It began to slip out her arms. Stephanie was now boiling mad at her aunts. They always were bitter at Stephanie and Rio for not being ladies in waiting. They had grown up in a normal and healthy situation. They liked being with friends of their own kind. Page distrusted both Anthony and Ziegfeld for bringing up Rio out with a nanny.
"Why do you ask?" Charlie asked as she tried to reason with Rio and Stephanie at the same time,
"I'm not really sure!" Rio said before she felt the chicken slip out of her hands. The chicken felt itself falling. It let out a squawk with both wings flapping in a crazy zigzag attempt.
Both Harley Quinn and Marion were scared to the point of being fainting. Then, Charlie and Stephanie wanted to turn and hide. There was no way of doing that in a tree. Rio closed her eyes for just a minute. Then, chicken somehow flittered to the end of the table and landed in a punch bowl with a splash. It began to bob up and down in a stuffed marshmallow way in the bowl.
For just a second or two, Page glared at the chicken. Then, she turned her crystal green eyes at the trees. She wondered if Rio was in that tree and up to no good. She placed both hand on both hippos as she huffed her anger out. She had to figure out who was with Rio. Them, she called out, "LITTLE THORN!"
There was a minute of complete and utter quiet.
"Who is up there?" Page yelled out. Her face was turning red as red as her hair,
"What are you yelling for," her sister asked.
"I'm in for now!" Rio gulped to sallow back the fear she now tasted in the back of her mouth.
"That old sour puss is going to be your doing if you like her!" Charlie warned. She was just as white into the face as Rio was.
"What about the chicken?" Stephanie asked. She feared the chicken that was now seemly enjoying the experience of floating in the punch bowled filled with sweet cherry cordial.
"Everything is now in ruins," Page huffed.
"Uh?" the other two asked in a puzzled unison.
Page began to walk around in an angered pace. She turned to face the tree where Rio, Stephanie and Charlie were now truing figure out a way of leaving without being seen. It seemed like the longest five minutes in history. Rio started to climb down the tree, yet something made her stop and think for just a minute or two. She moved a branch to one side to see her aunt who was now standing right underneath her.
"What are you doing" Page huffed as she np0ticed the tree branches moving all over the place.
Rio had to eat some might fine humble pie before saying," Nothing auntie dear!"
She looked like she had swallowed a large bite of lemon juice as she glanced at her friends. Both Stephanie and Charlie stared at her for just a minute with wide eyes. Then, riot did something totally wild and very unthinkable. She walked a little backwards towards a branch which was spilt into a 'y'. On catching her left ankle on the 'y' she fell backwards to the screams of her friends.
There was a stillness in Rio's personify. She took Page, Harley Quinn and Marian by surprise. She papered to be defending as she said, "What's up with you Auntie!"
Looking so calm, Rio felt a little giddy as she felt the tree sway a bit from her weight.
Then, like a huge title wave of anger, Marian started in on Rio, "what are you doing?"
"What..." Page goosed with a widely eye look. She was not sure on how she was going to react with her niece just dealing away like she did.
"And why are you doing this crazy stunt!" Marian said.
Rio was cool as an ice cube as she smirked, "Are you really going to take me what to do..."
Page was now about to give Rio a real ear full. Rio begins to swing a little bit in order to get her balance back in line. She felt like thawing up as her dizziness became too much for her. She wanted to forget the whole thing. Page was starting to grow with her anger. She noticed riot's moments when she said, "Stop this foolishness!"
Rio was now backed into a corner as she gasped, "I can't!" then, why a great deal of her own strength and will power, Rio righted herself upwards.
"What on earth you doing?" Page gasped.
Rio seemed almost like a left floating, twisting her in a nearly standing pose on the nearest tree branch. She landed with a great deal of ease. It was like watching a leaf floating in midair. Rio tried to smile without even flinching. There was no way about unit, Rio was a born artist. She was graceful than Serena bad a great deal more sharp with her senses than Lita or Rei. Yet, Rei was more grounded and did npot fly off the handle like Serena. Ami was curious at Rio's ability with history.
Yet, Rio was her own person. She knew how to get in and out of trouble for the most part. This was not one of her best times.
"You are nothing but a pest," Page began to blast Rio out of the tree with a verbal assault.
Rio just smirked a little, placing a hand underneath her chin. Then, she asked, "Oh…really auntie Page!"
"She is going to be real pain!" Page thought as she rolled her eyes at her niece.
"When are you going to grow up?" Marian asked, trying to sooth the tension between Rio and Page.
"Maybe tomorrow," she shrugged. Then, she raised herself as if she was going to dive off the limb.
"And why not today?" page asked.
"You are so pushy," Rio smirked once again.
"You are the one who is pushy!" Marian snapped.
"Wha…" Rio huffed. She turned to start climbing down the tree when she thought of using the branches as a sort of hanging ladder. She was very daring as she landed on both feet as she came to the end of the tree and the beginning of the ground.
There were a few gasps from Page and Marion. A stunned face appeared on Harley Quinn. She realized Rio was not a normal girl. She had some real tonetic hidden well within her mind. Rio began to stench her arms up over her head.
There was nothing to be said as Rio let her arms fall. She smiled as she looked at her aunts. Then, she said, "sorry about the chicken..."
There was a minute or two of dead quiet.
"...I was a bit of fun...it's not really hurt!" she uttered weight a calm look on her face.
"What?" Page gasped, a shocked look appeared on her pale face. She knew that Rio was not about to change her mind. Page had a feeling Rio was going to back out of this situation on her own terms.
"You have no idea what kind of work that we had to do for you!" Marion added her two cents in.
"No…" Rio said as she slowly inched her way backwards when she still faced her aunts. She knew she was in over her head. She had to get of out this one still as whole persons. She knew her aunts would rip her apart with all the chores that they could find. "I was just having fun. You lot are always getting under me skin and staying there like fleas on a cat's tail!"
Charlie and Stephanie noticed Rio's face was Turing a nice shade of red. They had to stop her before she really went over boards. Rio started her opaque up a little more on the fast end. She knew she had to get out of there, with or without her friends.
It was by fate, she had to stay there for a little while longer. It was an unforeseen happening when Serena and Siena with Luna showed up. Rio heard Seiya and Serena talking about things they were going to do during the rest of the summer. Serena noticed riot backing away very slowly. She also noted two women who suppose be Rio's aunts dressed in an old fashion way. She said to Seiya, "Stop for a second!"
Seiya asked as he wondered why Serena had to pull him over, "Yea…what gives?"
"Look at those two ladies!" Serena tried to place a grave face on.
Page's expression of anger coupled want the red hair was a clear sign that Rook was in trouble.
Glancing out of the corner of her right eye, Rio noticed Seiya and Serena standing in the drive way at her aunt's house. She also noticed a large throne bush was behind her. She was basically boxed in. she had no idea of getting out in one piece.
"I wombat you and your friends to stay here!" a voice spoke up.
All turned to see Page standing with her calm face fixed in a mildly displeased mood. Rio had instantly turned white in the face. Rio knew her in for it. She stood at ramrod attention like she was in the army of sorts. Page was not a nice person when she became anger. She had to get over the idea of doing things on the fly. Page had a strange feeling of someone else who had a hand in all this craziness. She wondered out loud, "Is Stephanie with you?"
Rio knew Stephanie was still up in the tree with Charlie. Rio blanked as step-in poked her head out from the tree. The red head smiled quite pale.
"What are you doing?" Page asked.
"Nothing..." Stephanie said rather inchoately.
"What was that, again?" page asked.
"Having fun Aunt Page!" Rio repeated her cousin.
Page remained calm about it. The only thing that was a real hang up was trying to clean up the mess before the guests aired. Page and Marion were indeed in over their heads. They looked at Rio with a shocked eye. Then, they turned their sights on the tree.
Charlie was about to climb down and give herself up. She was going to be a goat for Rio's sake. She had a feeling in the pit of her stomach that it would be better for her to be the first wall of defense instead of Rio. She could take in the worst cases.
After she got down off the tree, Chortle began to onrush a few stray leaves out of her dreadlocks. Both Page and Marion were shocked. Miss Harley Quinn was puzzled at first. There was shy look in her eyes. A smile twitched a little on her lips. She knew it would be a little wrong on her pared to be putting in her two cents just for now. She could wait very quietly until Marion and page got done with Rio and her two cohorts.
"I don't know where to begin!" Page said, blushing very hard.
"Them, don't!" Seiya said as he started to notice Rio was trying to get out of the mess that she had placed herself in.
"What, young man!" Page snapped. She knew Seiya and Serena were standing in the driveway. She also knew that they were Rio's friends. Rio was just pushing her luck a little too long. She had to be set in place by her aunt's standards.
Seiya shook his head slight as he tried to think of a way out for Rio. He knew Rio was going to be in trouble one way or another. "There is no way that she could be that way…"
"Oh, Seiya…" Rio sighed in a very low tone of voice. She wanted to place a hand up on her chin. She wanted to also chew the bottom of her lip. She wows getting a little nervous.
"What was that, young man?" Page asked. She was going to question Seiya with all her last of the cool she had inside of her.
"I'm mean…" Seiya began to sassy.
"It's like walking into Doctor Phibes' lair!" Rio murmured. She gave Seiya a worried look. She wanted to turn and walk away from everything. It was going to be hard in a way if she did. Then, she instantly wondered why did her aunts were not sending her away from the area with her friends in tow.
"Who?" serene asked a little baffled. She new Rio loved old movies, yet she did not know that Rio had a small handful she could quote.
"I will tell you later," Rio said as she tried to think of a way out. She knew she was now in a ground zero predicament. She hoped to the angels in heaven that she could find herself out of the situation.
"Harley?" a voice rang out. It sounded like nails on a chalk board.
Rio winced as both Serena and Seiya looked around with a puzzled look on her face. There was a great deal of acid in that voice. Rio wanted to go see who was behind that voice. She felt cold when she noticed both Charlie and Stephanie were climbing down on the tree. She knew Stephanie and Charlie were still innocent of anything. Yet, they were going to stick by their friend.
"Who is that?" Charlie asked, she looked around the yard at a strange looking man with green hair.
A bell rang in Rio's mind. It was like she had seen this stranger with the green hair before. She had some idea of who he was. At the same time, Stephanie had very quietly slipped over to the large table with the punch bowl. She was trying now to fish out the soggy chicken.
"Excuse me…" Harley said to the others as she turned to see the Joker ambling up the drive way. She nearly bounced over to see what her boss wanted. She began to talk to the Joker as the others looked on.
Rio watached as a small car pulled up to the drive way. She wondered if her aunts were still running a bed and breakfast. Rio knew that the joker was nothing but bad news. She had an idea he was laying low until the heat from Batman was over. She knew her aunts would take anyone who was going to be a will customer. She saw the odd ways of her aunts living. Both Page and Marion were indeed sisters and like the very old fashion ways of taking care of a house. There were a few exceptions to the rule. Yes, the house was outfitted with power and running water. There was a phone (one) in the front pallor.
She looked at Seiya. She had a feeling that Seiya had heard airbus there joker as well. He held on to Serena's hand a little fighter. He looked at Rio. It was like he was reading her mind.
"Why are you talking to them?" the Joker asked his assonate.
"They were having trouble!" Harley said. She glanced at Rio and her friends. There was going to be a little more trouble.
"With whom?" a fat, juggler man with a long nose waddled over to the group. He was dressed in a three piece suit and top-hat. He was known as the Penguin.
"With this kids!" Harley said as she jerked her thumb over to where Rio and her friends where. She knew Rio was just having some fun.
Rio had to think of a way of getting out of her station and fast. She knew how to get out of being in the spot light when she was by herself. She let her senses feel out for a peace point outside of trying to climb back up on the tree she had climbed down off earlier. She was looking over her shoulder for just a second or two.
"What are you looking at?" Marion asked as she noticed her niece growing a little restless.
"Nothing!" Rio shrugged. She sensed another present in the air. Who was it that was calling her back to a forgotten past? She had times where she felt like slipping into another time and forgetting her present. It was hard for her to spot who was pulling all the strings for a while. She knew someone was doing it from time to time. She knew if she could find the person who was doing it. Then, she could go back to her normal teenage life despite being a sailor senshi and a princess.
"Then," Marion said as she walked over to Rio. "…pay attention to me or else?" the two were standing nose to nose. Rio blinked a minute before letting she go back to normal.
Rio managed to say, "Yes ma'am!" Then, she backed away from her aunt. There was a minute of complete quiet when Rio walked over to the punch bowl. She tried to talk to the chicken that was now still floating in the bowl. She spoke very so gently to the bird as she tried to mea use her hands. There was a large and soggy bird that Rio had to pull out and Rio was very much frightened at the fact of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Yet, she was had grown a little more as she learned to be on her own. She basically had no one to be there as a sort of parent outside of Poal, Jakten and Katelena to guide her. Her aunts were there for her if she wanted them to open up to her way of thinking.
Charlie and Stephanie were going to see this mess through with Rio. They knew she was indeed in trouble.
She knew how frightened the chicken was. She talked in low tones to the bird. A loud bell could be heard from the kitchen to the outside. It made everyone but Marion and page jump. It was a new customer that was calling to the bed and breakfast.
"This can't be happening to us!" Page groaned. Then, she rolled her eyes and proceeds to stomp out of the area and into the house.
Rio was puzzled art her aunt, "What's eating her?" term she made a grab at the chicken. The chicken let out another sheik. It began to slap its wings in a wild flight out of the punch bowl. The sight was too much. The chicken felt itself being lifted out of the punch bowl with extreme care. Rio was veering gentle with the bird despite it feeling with Rio. It was fat enough that Rio was not peeked at, yet the winds were very much sticky and wet.
"What will you do?" the Joker asked, he knew that the unusual was happening with or without his hand in the works.
The more the chicken struggled, the more Rio was losing her grip. She wanted to make good hold on the chicken. It was too hard when the bird was slicked down with fruit punch. She tried to ease the bird into the table so it at least shakes some of the punch off. Marion looked at the situation through the glass door from the back porch. She nearly had a heart attack. The punch was red and the table cloth on the table was pure virgin white. She was going to have none of any sort of mess on the table. She nearly flew out of the door and nearly down the stairs when she was stopped when the phone rang.
The phone was now on the recorder, while Marion stood as quickly as she could. She wanted to get the message on the machine before she slammed the door opened. She heard a Cajon voice saying, "We will be there in a few hours and check in!"
At first it did not phase at first with Page. She tried to figure out who was calling at such an early time of the day. She knew if it was a customer, she would have said something to her customers. She looked at chalk board which hung on a wall near the coat tree. There was a few notes done up in both her and her sister's hand. There was one that was very hard to read. She was drawn to it as she found reshelf walking towards it. She squinted at the letter that had appeared to be on the smudgy side. She said, "What is that?"
Then, there was a knock on the door. It was the people who had just called. Page had felt the same panic before when she was younger, but she had to control or it would eat her alive.
At the same time riot noticed a young couple who had just pulled up in the drive way. She was looking, nearly staring them from the reflection on the huge bay window through the side of the house. She wondered who they were. She had a feeling her aunts were in for more than they bargained for. She gripped the chicken and spoke to it very carefully. It struggled as Rio eased it down onto the table. Rio felt a slight sting on her hands. The chicken somehow scratched her hands and wrist with its sharp claws. She wondered if the punch had seeped into her opened wounds.
Meanwhile Page ran to the door with all the fury of army private. Rio tried to excuse herself as she started to walk on the other side of the yard. She was fast on her feet as she noticed Seiya triyng to catch up with her.
"Where are you going?" he asked her as he followed her to front of the house. He had ducked a tree as he followed her.
"I think I know those people!" Rio called back. She did not even look at Seiya.
The Joker placed a hand up to his chin with a puzzled look on his face. He was hoping to get someone's goat and found out he could not. He gave Harquin a thinking man's look as he said, "its all go around here!"
The chicken was flapping its wings as it tried to walk around. The sticky mess of the punch was causing the wings to move. It began to peek out a salvation to its problem on the table. Marion turned towards the table. There was no possible way of getting the bird to fly at this rate. Beside the idea of having the chicken that was now pecking at the silverware, Marion had to ask the Joker if he had any idea why did her own niece Rio would bring in a live bird. He shrugged as he said before turning to leave, "Maybe she was bored!"
He had stooped for just a minute as he and his two companions began to walk up the drive way. There was a very plain looking car pulling up to the drive. He watched the driver got out of the car after the car had stopped close to the other car that had pulled up in there drive way.
"What is it…mister J?" Harley asked.
With a mixture of fear and over joy, the joker was now putting his feelings on overdrive for their stepping out of the car was none other than Bruce Wayne. His mind was now in a whirl of horrible tricks he could be playing on Bruce. He glanced over very quickly on his friends. He had to think things out very carefully. He knew the Penguin was dating Page. He had a nasty feeling of complete dreed that was starting to form in his mind as well. He knew that Page and her sister Marion were loaded with cash. Penguin was just playing the poor, but honest man about town and he and the other two entered Salem. He had been writing to Page for some time. They met at a book signing when Page was touring the area of Gotham for the local color in the birding department.
Rio had a feeling that she should turn around to see what was about to happen the feeling was compounded with another feeling of complete and utter days use.
"Hey there…child!" a voice called out from the drive way.
Rio stopped running, turned and looked at a redhead woman wearing a long yellow t-shirt. She gasped, trying to catch her breath, "UH?"
The red head smiled as she whipped her sunglasses. "What's your name…child!" there was a distinctive southern drawl to the red head's voice.
Rio said, "Its Rio…" she tried to remain calm and cool as she said, "Are you looking for my aunts?"
"Why yes!" the red head nodded slowly, never stopped her smiling.
"I'll go and get them!" she said.
"Rio…" Seyia cackled out as he stopped in front of the car.
"Yea?" Rio said as she tried to get her breath. She felt her lungs burning a little. For a sailor sensei she was a little out of shape.
"What were you doing?" seiya said.
Rio tried to speak but, she was tongue-tied. All she could do was smile with wide eyes.
"Why don't you just that...child!" there red head said. She knew Rio was trying to search for any words that would come to her lips, but there was none to be had.
Rio noticed the outfit the redhead was wearing. Something was too skintight for Rio's tastes. yet, she was not going to stand in anybody's way pf wearing what they wanted to wear even it was a pair of painted on jeans. She said, "let me..."
Then, she was cut off by her aunt Page's voice saying, "I'm here..." Page sailed out of the opened doorway with a quick swoop of the door it caused the leaves to dance on the bushes on other sides of the staircase.
Rio tuned to see seiya as she breached letting go of her smile, "save by an aunt!"
"If only?" Seiya asked.
"Rio entered the house and help and your aunt Marion with the bags!" Page said, trying to look, dainty in a calm and cool way.
"I wish here was something I could do!" Rio sighed. She felt like nothing was going right for her. She wanted to leave, but she had to stay for her aunt's sake. She was going to get an ear full when she was alone with her aunts. She hoped her aunt page did not hear the comment she had just said.
"You want any help?" Seiya asked. He wondered if Serena could visit Rio's aunt little later on. Then, he had wondered if Charlie and Stephanie were in trouble as well with the dropping of the chicken into the punch bowl.
"I hope you are not in any trouble," Serena asked with a glance.
Rio was going to in deeper trouble if she stayed like she was at the present pose. She had been careful with her way of being a lady. She was acting like a fool to her aunt's eyes. She smiled with a weak stare at her aunt. Page and Marian had to figure out on how to get Rio to act a little more respectable. Rio had to stay to help out her aunt. If she did not, then, she would be in a great deal of trouble. She had no idea of what lay in store for her.
She turned to ask her aunt Page, "Can I have a word with you!" she had feeling if the word got out to both Poal and Jakten, then, she would be in a great deal of more trouble.
"What is it?" Page asked. She had a feeling Rio was going to willing to back down very carefully. Page did have a great and fiery temper.
"You want me to stay?" riot asked.
"YEs..." Page said as she turned on the charm. "I want you to first..."
The redhead said, "I'm fern...Fern Keys!" she started to walk up towards the stairs
"Fern Keys?" Page murmured loudly, placing a hand up her chin. Then, she felt Rio quickly, but gently giving her a good shove inside, "Hey...slow down!"
"My...she's a good helper!" Fern said, nearly giggling at the sudden outburst of anger. She noticed Rio bouncing on the balls of her feet. Sometimes Rio had a problem just keeping still. She was a ball of nerves and energy.
"I wish here was something I could do!" Rio sighed through clenched teeth. She felt like nothing was going right for her. She wanted to leave, but she had to stay for her aunt's sake. She was going to get an ear full when she was alone with her aunts.
At same time, the joker wanted to make sure that the penguin knew that Bruce Wayne was there. The three were looking over a large bush as Bruce Wayne got out of the car. The Joker spoke, "Hey…Pengie…look who we have here."
"Who?" the penguin asked. He stared at his friend with a weary glare. He knew there was always a catch to the Joker's attics.
"It's that flaky rich boy…Bruce Wayne." Joke said as he placed a hand up to his forehead in a mock movement of nearly fainting into his girlfriend's arms.
"What?" Penguin snarled. He was hoping once he and the other two were gone from Gotham, then he could be a cad to a lady with putting out too much effort. He needed a break from the police anyways.
Rio noticed the two cars were not backing away. Instead, Rio was ordered to get herself into the house. Rio wanted to protest, yet she kept quiet. Then, Seiya, Serena, Stephanie and Charlie were ordered to leave the house. Serena wanted to protest as well, Seiya saved face and said, "Come on...Serena...this is a tall order for Rio to fill out...and not us to help!"
An instant, Rio was now standing nose to nose with aunt Page. Her mouth was forming words, yet they came out as babble. Page was going her business done and over with. Yet, she had a really bad feeling with the Joker and his following. She knew that he was nothing but, bad news.
"What are you going do to?" Penguin asked. He pushed back glasses as he reexamined the view of the situation unfolding.
"I have to be coy!" Joker amused with a smug look on his face.
Harley Quinn felt like she was getting the short end of the deal. She said with a pout, "What about me?"
To smooth her bruised feelings the Joker turned and smiled, "Oh…sweetie…all in good time. I have to think of a way giving old Brucie boy and welcome in this small town that he will never forget!"
Then, the three took a stroll over the table. The chicken was not happy with its outcome. It still flapped around on the table. Charlie and Stephanie watched as the Joker tried to get the bird off the table. There was a big mess to be cleaned and the pair of tem felt sort of responsible as much as Rio was. It was said that Charlie was slight gifted in the same way as Rio was in the having a second sight or gut instinct. She thought of the Joker for a minute or two. She could feel something than just plain evil. This was a dark pang that needed to be run out of town but how. Charlie grabbed Stephanie by the arm and said, "Need to talk."
"What?" Stephanie asked. The two girls began to walk away toward sidewalk near the house. Rio watched as her best friends were leaving her. She hoped that at least Seiya and Serena would stay for a few more minutes.
While the two girls were leaving, Charlie said to Stephanie in a hushed voice, 'I don't like getting mixed up with family messes…"
She noticed Rio's face of utter loss. She knew she was doing something wrong by leaving Rio in a fix. Yet, she had a feeling she was going to be involved in something bigger in a few days. She heard Page asked, "Why are you not staying…?"
Charlie knew she was caught as much as Rio was guiltily. She said, "you can deal with me later…I will return, you can count on that!"
The two girls said there good byes then felt. Rio felt like she had been cheated a little. She knew her real friends were the sailor sesnhis along. Yet, something had been planted in her mind about her feeling of mistrust for a while.
Rio hoped that she would be spared any sort of harsh punishment. She was just having some fun with her friends.
Page asked, "why those two did didn't stay like those two?" she pointed towards Serena and Seiya.
"They are just in hurry to wait for their punishment for later," Rio said. She had feeling Charlie and Stephanie were not strong enough to be publically humiliated like she was.
"What?" Page asked with a curious look on her face. She knew Charlie was mot her niece, yet like Rio, Stephanie was her second niece over in the states for further education.
"They are very private girls..." Rio said before she headed for the hallway. "I bet they did not to start any more problems..." she knew Jakten would have a say in their punishment if they had to be punished.
"I might have to mention it to Master Jakten. He will pass out the proper punishment for Charlie...I will have to get Stephanie hers soon!"
"Where are we?" a young Cajun man asked who was with the red head.
"We are in a small town!" the red head said. She knew they were on a mission to look for a young girl who had disappeared from their sight a long time ago.
"Are you sure...she might be here!" the young Cajun man asked. He proceeded to open the car door and climb out of the car.
"The last time I checked with the missing persons at the last place I was at and..."
"And?" he asked with point. He reached over to rub his chin with a hand.
The penguin, marquis and the joker agreed to creep up towards the front the house. They wanted to see if Bruce would recognize the terrorizing trio.
Alfred noticed the three as they were carefully strolling up the drive way. They heard the backdoor opening up and Marion stepping out.
They did not pay any attention to Marion. Bruce asked as he felt a familiar evil, "Who is with us?"
Alfred looked at the Joker for just a second. With a cool look in his eyes, Alfred said as he stepped out of the car, "It's the joker and two others...sir!"
Bruce knew he was up against his foes, yet there was strangeness in the penguin's demeanor. It was not the first time he had a change in the heart. He had fallen head over heels with upper crust lady before. She was just after his name of being known criminal; he was so badly burned after she had been dumped.
He violently turned on her after he had she dumped him. He was never the same after that. Wondering, Bruce was going to flesh out the reason why very slowly. The delicacy way had to use if Bruce was going to find out. Bruce asked Alfred to help with the suitcases while was going to obverse the joker for just minute or two. He was going to be taking this holiday seriously. He noticed on how the joker was really holding back on his pranks. Was this foe of my many stripes changing? This thought made even Bruce stop and take notice. The joker was going to play it very cool as he tried to hatch a plan to ruin Bruce's vacation.
Page heard her sister asking about the people who were standing in the drive way. She turned to see her sister standing with a small note book in her hands. She said, "There are four guests!"
"Rio…" Page breathed with a sour look on her face, "Go home…I'll deal with you later!"
"What about the party?" Marion asked as she noticed Bruce Wayne walking up the sidewalk leading up to the house.
With a quick look, Page whispered loudly, "We will deal with her later…this was a slip on our part!"
Rio was still out of the woods get. She had to leave on such a trying note.
Tenchi and Ayeka were walking down the sidewalk. Tenchi was going to the library to see about getting some information for his classes at you.
He noticed on how quiet Ayeka was. There was no news from home, from his father or grandfather. It had a few minor effects of worry which made Ayeka worry. He remembered the old saying, no news was good news. He knew that he would be getting a letter or a call soon from either one. He knew things were nice and quiet for his father. For his grandfather, Yoshi would be always in deep training. There was always working to be done in protecting the world from evil. He hoped for his sake, there was going to be a quiet time for him and his friends. He had an enough of everything. He looked at Ayeka with a warm smile. She had been hoping for something of a quiet day.
"What are you looking at?" she asked as she noticed Ten chi's smile.
"You and the rest of their world…" Tenchi said with a shrug.
"Me?" she laughed softly.
"I know that yugi or kagota are not on the prowl!" Tenchi said. He looked at the passing cars as they rounded a corner.
"That's a good thing!' Ayeka said.
Tenchi felt a bitter taste on his soul. It was like the time he had to fight for the first time someone other than his grandfather in training. He had to stop and think of why he had not seen yugi or Kagato for a while. He had seen the others as it seemed like Yugi was using a newer form of evil. They were talk about the Negi-verse. It puzzled him deeply.
Then, Ayeka said a few words that seemed to be on the same lines as Tenchi's thinking, "If there was another evil force, will it be too much for her to just simply hook up to use that power!"
"If it was so…then, would I been seeing Yugi or even Matori. It been a while since Kagato had popped in for a visit," Tenchi winced a little. He remembered the fighting at house. He was nearly pinned to the wall as he and Kagato fought. He had an image of Sasami looking at him with frightened eyes. He knew this was too much quiet even for Yugi. She would go out and tried to find Sasami in order to be normal. What was normal for one person was not for another.
"I hope for our sakes, they have not paired up with another person who is just as an equal to Yugi. I have a feeling; she is still a child and hates to be left alone!" Ayeka said with a soft look in her eyes. She knew Sasami was the only real friend Yugi had. The normalcy that Sasami had was just a thing in which Yugi craved all of her life.
Ayeka stopped at a yard. She glanced at a tree and a few flowers. She limned there was a change in the weather. It was getting hotter and it was just the beginning of summer. She wondered if yugi and Sasami were planning anything if they did hook up. It was highly unlikely. Sasami knew Yugi had turned back to her evil ways. The idea of that made her stop and think of who was really pulling the strings on the ideas of a child who did not ask to be a tool for the Jurian military.
"What are you thinking?" Tenchi asked he knew ideas of anything attached to Yugi were inside Ayeka's mind.
"I had a feeling…I guess!" Ayeka shagged.
Tenchi had the same feeling. He knew she was going to worry about her little sister until Yugi was once again considered.
"And?" she asked as she looked at Tenchi's face.
Without a missing a beat, Tenchi said, "I was thinking the same thing!"
A little surprised Ayeka said, "You were?"
Tenchi waited for the traffic to stop. He watched as the traffic skirted past them. He said as he watched the light changing over, "I knew Yugi did stop with the attacks. I knew she was just laying in wait for a month or two!"
"You mean…Kagato?" she asked.
"Yes…I hope that he isn't pulling her strings," Tenchi said with a bitter tone. He knew Yugi and Kagato were in a group. He also had heard about the others were who fighting the sailor senshi. He had a horrible feeling somehow the two factors were pairing up for a battle of power.
"I had an iadea of my own…yet, it's too wild for even me!" Ayeka shrugged.
"And?" TEnchi sounded much opened ended. He had a feeling there was more to come in the summer. The summer was just on its way to be hot and long. He also knew Yugi was not a one for just hanging around and do nothing. She was on the fence for a while until she felt like striking.
Keiichi was sleeping in his bed with a window opened a crack. He felt hot as he slept in the warmth of June. He slept with a great deal of trouble. It was not like him to be in this state. He knew in his sleep he was just dreaming.
In his dream he stood in a large field of flowers. He bent down to see what they were. They looked like flaming red. Keiichi tried to find Belldandy in the field. He had heard the wind as it blew around him. On trying to feel for her presence, he knew she had to be there. He tried to fine tune his hearing. He looked around for her. She was not there. He felt a little more than just warm. He wiped his forehead with a hand. It felt calmly.
At the same time, Belldandy was sleeping as well. She was a similar field with red flowers. She looked around for Keiichi at first. Then, she tried to find Skuld and Urd. None could be found. She felt a little panic as her jumped for a fraction of a second. She knew Keiichi was gone. How and where did he go?
In a vain attempt, Bell started to sing.
The song was a gently tune. Bell looked around as she sang. Then, she stopped as the sweet scent of flowers started to play with her senses. She wondered where she did find the flowers in the past. She bent down to examine the flower for a closer look. she knew Keiichi was in danger, yet the flowers seemed so sweet in the scent she was starting to forget was too easy for Bell dandy to slip in this trap as she bent down to look a the flowers. then, she felt a large red stalk instantly shot up and wrapped itself around her wrist when her hand reach over to pick a flower.
She opened her eyes in sudden fear...to find she was in her bedroom. Her heart was going to pop out of her chest. In a furry of dread, she looked around with her heart thumping hard. She felt so terrified as she climbed out of bed. She thought, "Where is K?"
The clock chimed softly in the background.
Bell dandy did not have time to look for her robe. She felt the coolness of the rug as she started to walk around the room. She could see the clock on her bed side. She had to find Keiichi. She walked over to the door after she noticed the clock. It was going on nearly 3 in the morning. Why was she so nervous? She knew he was still sleeping. She had opened the door to her bedroom very quietly.
"Where is K?" she thought for a second time. She let her eyes focus on the darkness that happened to cover the whole house. It was pretty dark out for this time in the morning. She wanted to find keiichi and fast.
