Keiichi was still in a deep sleep. He was trying to wake up from his dreams. It was like her was unable to reach his goal. He struggled hard to move in his bed. There was a force holding him back with such a tight grasp that he nearly screamed.
He awoke with a splitting headache. He blinked back tears as he looked around for the table lamp. On groping for the switch, he gasped hard for his breath. He wondered why did he feel like was dying all of a sudden. He could hear someone walking around in the hall. It made him totally awake of his surroundings. He thought, "I feel sick… where's Bell dandy?"
His feeling was picked up by Belldandy as she came to Keiichi's room. She knocked on the door very quietly. He swallowed hard as his heart began to slow down a little. He felt like her presents as well. It seemed like the two were growing in the strange friendship in which he had started just a few years ago.
"Where are you, Keiichi?" she thought. She found herself in front of the room. She placed a hand up to the door frame.
"I just need to get myself together…this is too strange of a dream to let go…" Keiichi thought.
Bell dandy knocked on the door to see if Keiichi was awake or not. She closed her eyes for just a minute to see if Skuld and Urd was still asleep.
Hopping on it was bell-dandy on the other side of the door, Keiichi got out of bed. He blinked for a second or two before he started to walk towards the door. Keiichi took his time in walking over to the door. He asked in whisper, "Who is it?"
Bell dandy was very much relieved to hear keiichi's voice. She said in the same tone of voice, "Yes…what's wrong?" She sounded frightened. She heard the door knob turn for a just a minute. She held her breath as she saw Keiichi's bedraggled face. He was still a little bit asleep.
"Did you have a bad dream?" she asked. She wanted to get close enough for one of her readings. She knew Keiichi had a dream that was equal to hers. Bell dandy looked at Keiichi's face. It appeared to be covering up the terrified expectance. If even he had lied to her, she knew he had to tell the truth someday.
"Yea…" he said trying to sound like the whole dream was not all that bad. "…kinda!"
"Are you going to be O.K.?" she said very gently. She placed a hand onto his face. On feeling his fears, his heart and the warmth he had, Belldandy had one idea. It was Mara who was causing the both of them to have a bad time in dream landed.
"What are you thinking of?" Keiichi asked as he noticed her face changing from the different emotion he was giving to her. He knew his feelings were hurting her as well as he was going through his own pain. He wanted to leave her alone for a while. He did not want to her to be sad. He knew she could feel everything he had felt in his mind by just a simple touch.
She asked as she removed her hand from his cheek, "K...did you have a dream?"
Keiichi was not sure what was on Bell's mind. He knew there was a trace of a dream which haunted her yet, she would not tell him. The signs of having the same dream were too hard to even think of. He wanted to chalk up it to fate. A nervous giggle hit keiichi with a tang of regret. He said. Shrugging his shoulders, "Yea...I was sleeping, but it's hard to remember!"
Bell dandy was a little puzzled as she heard keiichi's story. She had no idea they were indeed so intertwined it felt like she could read his mind without him even looking at him. This was a little different. He had stopped her from probing with walls in of his sleep. He did want to frighten her with worry if he was having huge same dream. He said, "Look, I'm sorry that I got you out if bed and nearly scared you!"
"There is nothing to stop me from help mg you. I just wish for all that is good in the world for you…" Belldandy said with a quiet feeling of calm in her eyes. She knew he had everything under some control. "You can call on me at any time. We still have a contract where ever you go!"
Surprised, he gasped with a slight wide eyed glance, "Bell?" he remembered how he got mixed up with his wishes for a girlfriend. It seemed like since then, everything had been a dream. He knew in his humblest of ways, he was not handed picked. He was in the right time for the situation.
"I know how you feel!" she smiled.
"A little worse for wear!" he said. He was not going to lie to her. She had always an uncanny knack of finding out.
There was another door opening up very slowly. A blurred eyed, Skulk peered out of the room and said, "What's going on?" she began to rub the sleep pout of her eyes.
"Nothing really!" Keiichi said, he looked at Bell's little sister. In all parts, skuld acted like a child. Yet, she was still a goddess no matter how old she was.
"I heard talking…" Skuld said before she yawned.
Another door opened and Urd was standing with a strange look on her face. She had a feeling that both Belldandy and Keiichi were in a field flowers. She had to check on her sister to see if she had been kidnapped during the night or not. Urd did not have a wild sense of the imagination. Yet, she knew Mara could or would do anything to hurt Bell or any of the others who stood in Mara's way. She sighed as she said, "Safe…they are all safe!"
"Why did you say that?" Keiichi asked when he turned to see Urd.
"Just a feeling!" Urd uttered, smiling.
"We are O.K.!" Belldandy reassured her older sister. She walked over to where Urd was standing and smiled. "There's something that can wait until morning."
"I'm tired…" Skuld said, learning agianst her door. She appeared to be falling back to sleep. "I'm goin' back!"
"Good night, Skuld," Belldandy said. She knew Skuld was going to be the last to be kidnapped by Mara. Mara did not like to be dealing with small fry goddess. It would have taken centuries for Skuld to grow in to the same league as Belldandy. Mara was not a patent demon.
"What really did happen?" Urd asked. She folded her arms over her chest with a slight worried look on her face. She knew both Keiichi and Bell were in a dream at separate times. Yet, they were in the same dream.
"You promise you would laugh…Bell, if I tell you mine?" he asked with a solemn look.
"Sure…" Belldandy nodded.
"You?" Keiichi asked Urd. He knew that Urd was always pushing him into situation that he could not get out of. He also knew that she was also into not taking things too seriously.
"Yea…but the looks I'm getting you both were scared out of your wits?" Urd said with a puzzled look on her face.
"How do you tell a person that you were in a dream and it felt so real?" Keiichi said as be begun slowly, he looked at both Belldandy and Urd. He waited to go back and start the evening all over again. He knew that was totally impossible to do. He said, "I was in a field…it was all covered in these strange red flowers! "
Belldandy felt her heart nearly stopping as she said, "Wait…it sounds like my dream as well!"
"Uh?" Urd gasped. She knew Keiichi had a strong bond to Belldandy. It sounded too farfetched to be dreaming the same times. "You had the same dream, Bell?"
"Yes…it seemed like it was same. The field was huge…was it Keiichi?" Belldandy asked. She cocked her head to one side.
The field...did it have any trees or bushes?" Urd asked.
Both Keiichi and Belldandy shook their heads. It seemed like the flowers could go on forever. Urd was surprised at the answer she was given. She knew there was more to the amuser which Keiichi and Belldandy had given her.
"The flowers were…" Belldandy said as she tried to remember what really happened to her in the dream. Belldandy retold her side of the dream. With the events she had described Keiichi suddenly felt an icy hand resting on his soul.
Urd noticed Keiichi's changing mood on his face. "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing..." he gasped, trying to figure out why he had the same dream. He looked at Belldandy eyes. She looked like she was going to break down and cry. He told her that he was going to the kitchen in minute to make up some tea.
Belldandy needed something in her stomach to ease her nerves. She knew a good strong cup of tea was the cure. She said, "I'll come with you…."
Urd wondered for a minute before uttered about going back to sleep in her own bed. She was trying to keep wake. Yet, she had to know about the rest of Keiichi's and Belldandy's dream. She asked the two if they would like to step in to her bedroom. There was at least a love seat that both Belldandy and keiichi could sit on.
Belldandy said, "I rather go down to the kitchen for the tea. I could make up a pot and we can drink it up here."
"Wait…if my dream was like yours…Bell. Then, tell me if you stopped to pick up a flower and it nearly grabbed you?" Keiichi asked as he shook his head. He was trying to piece every last detail in short order. He did feel like he should be mincing words about his dreams. He knew there was a force out in the world which had control of everything.
Belldandy knew Keiichi was never a pushy person. He was very shy and quiet. At times a little flighty when pushed, yet he was just a nice guy. She asked, "Why did you ask?"
"I need to know…there is more to this than meets the eye," Keiichi sounded very quiet. He could sense a bit of danger with an outside force. He had to know if Mara had a hand in this. He noticed as he spoke Belldandy's mood change as her head the name Mara mentioned. She was very sweet most of the time. This time, Mara's name had changed everything in her mind.
"I had a feeling Mara was up to her old tricks!" Urd broke in. she had to stop to think about Mara's dirty work. Somehow Urd believed Mara was laying low for a huge sneak attack. She knew Mara was not using all of the powers she had with her on this trip.
"Mara," Belldandy said.
Then, a sound of lighting roared above their heads. Rain was coming in the early morning.
"She's not going to change!" Urd groaned. She looked at her sister with a cornered look on her face. Urd's feelings of being concerned like a rat in a corner were for no real apartment reason. It was just an idea for the most part. She had to give in to sleep and start a fresh for the morning.
Belldandy and Keiichi decided to go down stairs and make some tea. Keiichi did not have classes for the day. He could just nap if he felt sleepy.
Urd watched as her sister and Keiichi headed for the stairs. She had a feeling she should look on skuld. She hoped Skuld was safe in her own room. It was not unlike Mara to show up with all of the Goddesses defenses down. She was very sneaky in a sloppy way. Urd knew every last trick in which Mara could pull.
The door to Skuld's bedroom was opened just a crack. Skuld was back to a deep sleep. She looked too peacefully. Urd closed the door very carefully in order to let skuld sleep.
Urd went back to her room for her own sleep. She was going to let Belldandy and Keiichi alone. They needed some time to themselves.
The following morning, there was much work to be done at the Maski house. The grass needed to be mowed. The lower windows were going to be washed by Ayeka and Sasami with some help from Washu.
The small vegetable garden was checked out by Keyone. She wanted to check up upon the greens after she had planted them herself. She was going to let Mihoshi to wash down part of the fence. She was going to keep on an eye on her friend in order not to have any sort of mishaps.
Everything seemed over the top in normalcy. Sasami was going to clean the front room before she was allowed to take off with Reenie and Skuld. Hotura was going to learn with Rio's help on how to cross stitch. The young, quiet senshi like the rest noticed Rio's works. They were impressed that riot was into needle craft.
Sasami was getting also her first taste of a proper English tea. Rio had to redo the tea with her aunts if she wanted to or not. She had to invite a few of the girls over to see if they would go and she would disappear. She had a feeling Alex was still at his house. She wanted to know if he had returned to the dark side with the aid of Galaxia.
Washu was busy with own things in her room. She had a normal room with all the extras portholes leading to her labs. She was trying to figure on why yugi was keeping such a low profile for the past week. It seemed like the evil in the universe had been all too quiet. She wanted to be sure that Yugi could be changed for the better.
"Where are you Yugi?" she asked herself as she stared at the computer screen. She had been sitting at her computer since the early morning. She studied every last little nuance to this puzzling trick in which Yugi and Kagoto were just lying in wait. It was like one other time when Ayeka was shot and Rio nearly lost her sight.
"Are you hungry?" a voice asked.
Washu looked around for a minute to see Tenchi entering the room. He was holding a cup and a small tray in his hands. He wondered if he was going to see Washu for the rest of the day. He knew like the others about Washu's disappearing act. She would help out for many days, yet she would leave when there was a spot of trouble that would not leave her alone. She had to reline in her gut feeling on experiments. This time was the same feeling. She asked, "I have been working too long?"
"Yea…' Tenchi said as he came over with the tray and mug. He smiled quietly. He noticed her worried look. "What's wrong?"
Placing a hand on her chin, Washu thought out loud, "Have you ever been in a situation that you were stuck!"
Putting the tray down on a clear spot on near the computer, Tenchi shrugged, "Dozen of times. Even when I'm fighter someone who started it in all reality….I often wondered if this is all for everything I hold dear to me!"
"That is a huge order…" Washu uttered with a shocked face. She had always this feeling Tenchi was more than just a normal teen or a prince. He was a warrior that did not want to fight, "I have looking around for Yugi...or Kogoto. It's like they have been missing for a while!" Washu placed a finger up to her lips. Her thoughts were getting to her. She knew Yugi was on the prowl for power. Yet, there was another side to all of this.
It was Sasami who was her only friend. That was thing which hit the maski household hard.
"I know who Yugi wants!" Tenchi said. His face was now drawn tight with a grim expression. The feeling of complete acknowledgement of why Yugi wanted Sasmai as a friend was still a bad spot for him. He always that she was lonely little girl who wanted a friend, but he was going to protect Sasami as a sister. He felt bad for Yugi. He wanted to protect her as well.
"I do too!" Washu said. She had a bitter taste of why Kagato kidnapped Yugi and turned her against the rest of the world. "AT first I believe it was just a fluke she was going after Sasami. She was very kind to Yugi."
Tenchi nodded, "Yea…she's got a good heart!"
"This time….everything has a darker tone…." Washu felt slightly ill. She knew Tenchi was going to battle it out with Kagato one day. To fight against Yugi was another story. She knew Yugi was just a troubled kid who was not born, but was creature with great powers even she could not still grasp. "And Sasami is still the light of Yugi's lonely world!"
"Why her…?" Tenchi asked. His thought were still at the time where he and the others wondered why Sasami.
"Sasami…innocent, pure and true…" Washu said, leaning towards Tenchi. Her hands were now at the edge of her chair. "She likes…Reenie or in fact Gina…they are the purity that most evil lacked there within themselves!"
"I hope there is an answer for us!" he said. He placed the tray on a cleared space on her work bench. He looked at her. Placing a hand up at his chin, Tenchi gave a look of grim uncertain.
Washu had no answers for Tenchi at the time. She was going to finish out her processing and tried to have a quiet lunch.
Meanwhile, Ayeka had been finishing out her work. She could hear the birds from an opened window. She could hear Ryoko washing the windows. She was surprised. Burning up with curiosity, Ayeka jumped out of passion that she was at. She darted to the front door to the front porch. She looked around for Ryoko. It was a few minutes of seeking when she found Ryoko was on a ladder with a rag in one hand. Ryoko was leaning against a window which was on the far left the house. A little peeved Ayeka growled as she marched over to where Ryoko was.
Looking at up her rival, Ayeka growled, "What are you doing?"
Ryoko was a bit surprised to see Ayeka, nearly snorted, "I'm clearing a window...what do you think I'm doing?"
"Why are you doing that?" Ayeka asked. She was a little shocked at Ryoko's statement. At first she thought Ryoko wanted to be closer to Tenchi. Yet, Tenchi was with Washu all this time.
Her mouth hung opened just a wee bit.
Ryoko believed Ayeka was just waiting her time. She shrugged, "They needed to be done. I hope it doesn't rain!"
"Rain?" Ayeka sighed, a little surprised. She knew everything needed to be clean in the inside first.
"Yes…it's been hot….this is the first cloudy day we had in a couple of weeks," she said.
Ayeka was going to the heart of the matter in a leap of time. She knew Tenchi had to be close. She glanced around before turning her attention back to Ryoko. "Where is Tenchi?" she asked as she heard a door opening and closing.
"I'm not sure…he was here for a couple of minutes!" Ryoko said as she noticed a fly trying to land on the window. Waving her hand in front of it, Ryoko thought for just another minute.
"Did you see him?" Ayeka questioned Ryoko in a curious tone. Sometimes, they were both in a fix when Tenchi was gone.
"Yea…" Ryoko said, placing a thumb up to her lips.
Someone heard a name being mentioned. The person started to walk towers the front door.
"I guess he could have left the house for just a minute or two," Ayeka said as she shrugged. She knew that she could in a pinch defend herself and Sasami. They were protecting each other for a long time, before even they reached earth.
The front door opened with a slight squeak. The person was slowly walked over to where Ayeka and Ryoko were. The person quietly walked up to the girls with a smile on this person's face. It was a surprise whine Ryoko saw it was Tenchi who was now standing behind Ayeka.
Tenchi was going to have a little fun at areca's expensive. He placed a finger up to his lips in order to not be seen. Ryoko tried not noticed or change her mood as she talked to Ayeka. Meanwhile Ayeka was growing a little concerned about Tenchi. Tenchi began to really listen to what Ayeka had to say about her own feelings. She wanted things to go back to normal as best as they could. Yogi could be friends with sasami. She had talked to her little sister as far as her ideas on Yugi were concerned. There was still a bitter taste from the battles back home.
Ryoko wanted to laugh hard and loud. She looked at Ayeka with a slightly amazed face. Holding all in she nodded a little to keep everything in order.
"What are you looking so puzzled about?" Ayeka said with her own curious face.
"Nothing really!" Ryoko was holding on to a poker face. She knew Tenchi heard every last bit.
"What's on my mind for all indent purposes…is!" Ayeka shrugged. Then, she felt a hand on her shoulder. At first she remained still.
"You sound like rio…" Tenchi said, breaking his silent. He watched as Ayeka turned with a stunned look on her face. He smiled, "sorry for taking you by surprise!"
She wanted to punch Tenchi in the stomach, yet she wanted to hold him as close she could. She had a feeling she and Tenchi would soon part. She looked at Ryoko with a solemn face. She had to start back up again with her cleaning or nothing would be done.
Tenchi said, "Just watch your back…please…"
The words seemed so much like an order instead of a promise. The whole would within twenty four hours would it be turned into a gate way of possible chaos. Yet for now, it seemed like so ordinary Tenchi told what had talked about with Washu to Ryoko and Ayeka. He knew there was more to what was going on with Yugi and her crew than he knew about. There was talk about a new and darker group who was forcing Yugi to bow down to them. Even Kagato was feeling the squeeze.
"The word on the street was a group of girls who were fighting against the people who wanted to take Yugi out," Ryoko said as she placed a hand up to her chin. There was a hint of fear in her voice.
"A group of girls," Tenchi smiled. He remembered how Sasami and Reenie were playing around in goofy way of being Sailor senshi.
"And…they have special powers and magical items…" Ayeka said with a shrugged. At first, Ayeka believed her little sister was just having fun.
"Taht's nothing…I have seen those girls in action. They have extreme powers. They could fight anyone and their choice to be fight for good," Ryoko said.
"And funny…they seemed to be always around…like they were watching out for us…" Tenchi said.
"We can protect ourselves very nicely…" Ayeka said as she noticed Tenchi's face. It seemed like he was going to be in danger without her help.
"Yet, these new creatures I have heard about are certainly different. It all seems like a manga. I would like to really get to know them!" Tenchi teased.
Both Ayeka and Ryoko became a little peeved at Tenchi's words. Ayeka glared at Tenchi as Ryoko placed a hand on Tenchi's shoulder. She smiled a little darkly, "Remember who your real friends are…"
Tenchi a little bit unnerved said, 'Yes…I know who my friends are…I have no idea who these girls are in the first place!"
"Please, ryoko don't make a show…." Akeya huffed, rolling her eyes at Ryoko. She knew Ryoko was trying to get Tenchi's goat.
"I have been hoping to some idea what was going with everything here…" Tenchi said as he slightly giggled.
"And these girls don't make you go all mushy inside?" Ayeka said. She and Ryoko were going to get Tenchi to spill at least a little. It was not working.
"No…when the time comes…you two were will the first to know who I pick as my wife…yet that's a long time from now!" Tenchi shook his head.
There was a loud meowing sound coming from the other side of the house. It seemed like Sasami, Rennie and Ryo-oh-ki were having fun on a tire swing. Abby and Hotura were watching as Skuld stood in place at one side of the tired swing. She was pushing the tired in a circular fashion.
Reenie and Skuld were laughing hard while Sasami was screaming just as loud. Abby and Hotura were just watching with smiling. Chibi-chibi was near Hotura, picking flowers. She watched a small grey moth dancing from flower to flower in the distance. It seemed like the evilness in the world was wiped clean.
Skuld and the others were invented to Sasami's house just to take a break from the boredom as the girls wanted a little more excitement. Sasami was very excited about just having friends over for the day. All of her chorus was done and she was just happy to be finished.
Reenie wanted to be with someone who was from the same area as she was. Hotura and Chibi-chibi were from Tokyo, yet Skuld staying with Keiichi and her two sisters in Neinko while Sasami was from Daisen, Akita.
There was nothing to stop the girls this summer. Rei and Lita were coming up the sidewalk towards Tenchi's house. They heard the noises coming from the yard. Rei noticed the tire swing slowing down a bit. Reenie holding on with all of her might Sasami doing the same. Ryo-oh-ki was sitting on Sasmai's lap. The two older girls were at the plaza, shopping. Lita knew it was just a few hours before supper. She wanted to remind Reenie, Hotura and Chibi-chibi come home a little after four.
Despite the areas the girls were living at before they came to America, they were still young girls who wanted to fit in. Abby and a couple of others became friends to the girls.
Sasami felt the tire slowing down. Reenie was still laughing hard. There was a sense of prefect calm as the girls played. Skuld turned to see Tenchi and ayeka climbing up the stair case. They were watching the girls as they played with a great deal of mirth. Rei and Lita walked up to the sidewalk leading to the gate backyard. They were hoping to see Reenie and the two other two having a good time. They were hard pressed for any sort of a normalcy. Rei called out for Reenie. Reenie nearly screamed with a laugh. She screamed, "STOP...I THINK I HEAR MY NAME!"
Skuld had her hands out for a while. She was going to stop the tire. Reenie let out a scream for the last time. She was having too much fun. This was the first time in a long while Rennie did not feel like a princess or a young training warrior. She was just felt like herself. She quickly closed her eyes until she felt the tire slowly stopping.
Rei wanted to know why the girls wanted to be left alone for just a little while. Lita followed Rei up the stairs. Reenie noticed rei and Lita now standing at the gate. She wanted to rest for just a little while, until her stomach got back to normal.
The others were laughing hard. Sasami closed her eyes tightly as she tried to smile with all of her might. She was having too much fun. Rei was surprised by how the girls were just having a good time. They seemed to have no cares or worries.
Lita called out, "Hotura?"
Hotura was a bit surprised as she heard her name being called. She had been viewing a couple of squirrels as a black one tried to climb up a drain pipe with all of its power. It seemed like creature wanted to get a hold of a gray squirrels. The black one climbed so close, but was not even successful as it came closed before scrambling down off the drain pipe.
The little squirrels were not going to give up that easily. Hotura felt the same way about the battle between good and evil. She was not going to throw in the towel. She knew and respected her friends where now her own family. She could understand what it meant to be a family. She glanced at Abby before she turned to say something to Lita. "Yea?" she said.
"It's about supper!" Lita said. She hoped that they girls did not have any extra snacks during the time they were at Sasami's house.
"What about supper?" Hotura asked.
"Don't be late…" Rei said as she climbed the steps.
"In fact, we stopped over…" Lita added. She had her purse with her. Rei had a small sling bag over her shoulders. They were going up to the store to pick up somethings to get for supper. She wondered if Reenie would be all right with just a bowl of soup. All of that snapping around was not good for a young stomach.
Skuld was quick to the draw with her statement, "you guys checking up on us?"
"Nothing wrong with that?" Lita asked. She knew Skuld wanted to be along with her friends. Finally she had a group of friends who were own age in a spritely way.
Rei was surprised by how the girls were just having a good time. They seemed to have no cares or worries.
Lita called out, "Hotura?"
Hotura was a bit surprised as she heard her name being called for the second time. She had been viewing a couple of squirrels as a black one tried to climb up a drain pipe with all of its power. It seemed like creature wanted to get a hold of a gray squirrels. The black one climbed so close, but was not even successful as it came closed before scrambling down off the drain pipe.
It seemed like she was drifting back and forth behind dimensions. She had felt this way before. She wondered if after her rebirth from Sailor Moon's own powers, she could go back to her old ways of Death Busters. It had a very chilling afterthought. She hoped she was going to be a normal kid, like she had dreamed of. It was like she was little cute squirrel trying to climb up the drain pipe to get a normal life. She did not know her father was kidnapped back into the evil he was once cleansed.
"Don't be too long…" Lita teased. She knew Mina had a hand in making dinner. She was learning on how to make the best pasta sauce. Rio and the other were watching Lita teach Mina from time to time all day long.
Rennie was able to ask after she had a few minutes to ease her stomach back into a normal state of quiet. She asked, "What's for supper…Hotura?"
"I'm not sure?" Hotura said as she turned to reply Reenie.
"You want to know…" Skuld asked Reenie.
"I hope it's something that Serena didn't help in!" Reenie quipped as she leaned a little back.
"Don't be too long. There is a long distance phone call from Tokyo. I think its Serena's mom and dad, but there is someone who is with your school."
"Who?" Hotura asked. Finding out about the whole idea strange getting a phone from her old school to her yet, there a few people who worked at the school and did not partake of the evil her father. They did not eve remember what had happened to the school or his lab.
"I'm not sure..." Lita said. She was not the one to take the call. It was Mina who took the call. "I would like to call up some of my friends back home to!" Lita wanted to keep in touch with her friends and family back home as well. She and the others had missed their hometown so much. Lita told the girls to wash up after the come home. As she was about to turn to go, she noticed Tenchi and Ayeka walking towards her and Rei.
Ayeka asked, "You are busy…"
Lita and Rei turned to see Ayeka and Tenchi walking up the sidewalk. They greeted each other. Rei had vision of what Tenchi had faced with Kagato. She knew he was protector of Earth like she was, yet in a different way.
"No…Mina is cooking…" Lita added with a sigh. She had a hard time in teaching mina to pay attention to the lesson. She was like Serena, always having to deal with boys. On the other hand, the Ami and the outers had some experience with the kitchen. The only one who really would give Lita a run for her money at time was Rio. Rio had been cooking with her family as far back as six years old. She was using the stove at eight with her aunt keeping an eye on her. By ten she was already baking up simple cookies and helping out with the big family dinners at both of her uncles' homes.
Reenie and Hotura did help out with the kitchen duties. Chibi-chibi was starting out with just setting the silverware. They were just starting to learn what it meant to be a family, even though they were strangers.
"She's learning how to cook…?" Akaka asked with a raised eye brow. She knew Mina was smart if she wanted to be.
"She's passed the first road block!" Lita sighed, rolling her eyes.
"And that is?" Ayeka asked with a strange look on her face. She could tell Lita was still a little weary about letting anyone else cook with her teaching.
"She's learning…" Lita said as she puckered her lips together. "Rather slow!"
"And everything?" Tenchi added,
"Yea…" Rei sighed in a sour look on her face. She and Serena had a running bet on who was going to give in, Mina or Lita. "She wants to learn everything, but she takes her time. The only one outside of Manchuria and the other two older ones who could cook is Rio…she grew up on a farm most of the time!"
Reenie was now getting off of the swing and starting to chase Chibi-chibi around the yard with Sasami in toe. They were laughing hard.
"Did not know that!" Ayeka said with a smile.
"And we should get going," Rei said as she had a feeling Mina was not paying attrition to her studies in the kitchen.
"I hope you have some medicine that heals her mistakes," Tenchi said as a little reliever. He knew mina and the rest of the girls were at least trying.
Rennie looked her friend and said, "I want to stay here a little while longer!" she wanted to be like Serena just a normal kid. She was the happiest when she was playing. She also likes it when she did not get to fight Serena. For once Serena was acting like a sister instead of a bossy mother. She knew Reenie was her one and only child. There was a few times since the spring there was a few blows, but they had to make up fast.
"I want to stay here too," Skuld agreed. She felt like she was a part of a group of girls who were normal, but special at the same time. Skuld wanted to be human for a long time. She felt like she could be. There was a Frew thing that needed to be worked out on her part. She would have to stop using her magic to use in her work with any sort of machine. There was also the use of her albites to fly and transport herself from one water source to the other was questionable as well. She knew it too. She did have a huge love for ice cream and plushiest. That was very much a normal trait for a young girl.
Reenie knew as well as hour did, they had to go home. They also had a feeling something was up. Although, Rei and Lita were probability taking off to the store for extra things, they wanted to be sure, the youngest Sailor Sensei was protected. They fished up their play time and told the others that they were coming back.
Hotura had Chibi-chibi by the hand as little dark pink haired was still plucking flowers from the tall grass. Chibi-chibi nearly squeaked out her disappointment of leaning such a fun place. Hotura said, "I know…Sasami's house is nice…but we have to go and have supper."
"Why?" chibi-chibi asked as she dropped her flowers onto he grass.
"Everyone else is hungry!" Hotura smiled. She was like an older sister to chibi-chibi and a kindred spirit to Reenie. They were stuck together through everything since they had left japan. There was no real fighting or picking on each other. They just did not have the energy to start.
"When are you coming back?" Sasami asked. She noticed Ryo-oh-ki was sitting on the grass.
"We're not sure…yet?" Reenie said as she slid off of the tire swing. She walked slowly to where Hotura and Chibi-chibi were. She said to Skuld and Sasami, "We can call and found out when the next time we can hook up…"
There was a smile on Rennie's lips. She knew things inside were going to change for the darker times were coming. "I hope tomorrow is a better day!" Reenie said to Sasami as the two girls parted ways.
It did not take long for Reenie and the other girls to reach the house. They could see riot sitting on the stoop. The worried appearance on her face seemed not to fit on her usually sunny attitude. She had received a phone call from her Uncle Zig field. He had just received the news of the death of a very close friend. He was coming by plane to Pittsburgh to see the funeral. He knew Rio was close to his friend as well.
Reenie bent down to see why riot was so upset. "What's up?" she asked with a concerned look on her face.
"Nothing…" Rio uttered. She glanced for a second time at Reenie. She said after a minute of thinking, "Oh…it's you Pinkie!"
"Yea?" Rennie said a little spurred. She wanted to make Rio smile. She could senses there was something wrong inside. She leaned forward a little to see what was on Rio's mind. She had a sour look on her face, like she viewing Rio for a painting she was going to make. "What happened?"
"Nothing…little one," Rio said, seeming to perk up at Reenie's goofy, sour look. She knew she could trust in her fiends once again. "Are you hungry?"
Hotura and Chibi-chibi came walking up the path leading up to the house.
The door opened and Serena had her face turned. She was speaking to Ami about what was going with Rio. "I have been talking to the others!" Serena said in a concerned tone of voice. She knew Rio had a death in her family. She tuned to see Reenie taking a spot next to Rio. It was like Reenie to try putting a brave face on the situation. She was a truly remarkable child.
