"Safe…?" the voice said. The unseen force who was now guiding Seiya to a place where there could be danger.
Seiya went over to the front room closet. He could hear the night birds singing from an opened window as he went opened the door. He had grabbed his long sweater and shoes before stepping out of the door.
He had checked the door before opening it. He knew there was a spare key in sweater pocket. He carefully put on the sweater. HE had to put his trust in an unseen creature that was going to be his one and only guide in finding riot.
He closed the front door and locked it. He said to himself, "Where walled I be if I was her?"
"And what if I find her?" the vice asked.
"What?" he asked. He could not stop in his walking. He had reached the end of the drive way.
"You thinking about her…uh?" the voice teased.
"And why do you ask that question?" Seiya asked as he rounded the corner, heading for the sidewalk. He could see the sky. It was dark and nearly starless. He felt sad as he walked down the sidewalk.
"Oh? Just that you have a past and she can't find hers. Are you willing to help in her search?"
"What search?" he asked.
"In the search for both the past and future in the present?" the voice asked. It sounded more of a command than a statement.
"And what if I find her?" he asked. A mystifying cloud was falling on Seiya. Then, he felt like he was going too lifted up from the air. He became frightened at the fact he was no longer on the ground. He screamed, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?"
"Nothing…if you are looking for her…then, you needed help!" the voice said calmly.
He was now flying in a somewhat haphazard way. He did not know where he was going. There was a matter of trust in this strange turn of events.
Then as if there was a break in Sekiya's dream he ended up at the water tower near the house. He noticed he was not that far from the hospital or some of the local shopping areas. He said, "Is this where she's at?"
As if a strong wind had hit him in the front, Seiya had woken up finally back in his bed. The cold sweat was pouring down from his forehead. What was he dreaming all this time? He looked at the clock on the night stand. It read nearly midnight. He had to figure out about the dream, but he had a nasty feeling about Rio.
He slowly climbed out of bed and realized there was no water on the rug. He ran a hand through his thick black hair. He walked over to the living room. He wanted to make a phone call. Knowing it was extremely late; Seiya hoped someone was still up at Serena's house.
He could hear as he exited his room a small radio playing very softly. It was Taiki who had the radio still on. He had fallen asleep with the radio. Seiya said to himself, "I'm going to let the other two sleep. At least I am just as expendable as the others."
He closed his eyes for just a minute as his lungs relaxed. He opened his eyes to see the darkness of the night. He tried not to make any noise when he had walked down the hall. There was a slight chill in the air. He made his way to the living room. In the moonlight which was coming from a window, Seiya could see the phone. He quietly walked over to the phone and picked it up. On holding his breath, Seiya dialed Serena's number.
At the sailor senshi's house, Serena had changed her mind. She wanted to stay at home. She was going to stay with Reenie, Hotura and Chibi-chibi. She knew it was going to be leaving her in a weak spot. She told the others she was going to be the one who was going to protect the youngest senshi with everything she had. Rei and Setsuna had also decided to stay with the remaining senshi.
Serena was sitting on the sofa in the living room when the phone rang. She neatly jumped out of her skin when she heard the phone ringing. Luna was sitting on an arm of the sofa as she heard the noise as well. She said, "Who would be calling at this hour?"
"I don't know…." Serena sighed. She walked over to the phone in the front room. She picked the reliever and asked, "Hello?"
"It's me…" Seiya said. "Seiya…"
"What…" Serena gasped in shock. She wondered why Seiya was still up. Glaring at the clock, Serena asked, "Do you know what time it is?"
"Yea…I know…I don't want to wake the other two up…there is…" Seiya said as his mind tried to figure out where he was going with Serena. He wondered if it was too late to be walking around the streets at this hour. He told Serena about his dreams. The last one was still so fuzzy he had a hard time making it out.
"And this is leading up to?" Serena was now looking at the big picture window. A street light stood on the opposite side of the street shown up like a beacon in the darkness. She hoped when she saw the reflection of the light, Rio was safe.
Seiya was not going to let Serena down, yet in the same breath he was going to set her off. "I think I know where Rio is!"
She nearly dropped the phone as she jumped up from the sofa, "Where…what…how do you know this?"
"I had a very bad dream," Seiya said wearily. He felt he needed to get out and help fine Rio.
"A dream?" she asked. She had been talking to Seiya for just a few minutes before a force broke all idea of the known normal space. A large bubble had started to form on the large picture window. It was shaped like an egg. Serena and Luna watched as the egg formed another layer of water inside. It took shape of a human girl inside.
"What's going on?" Seiya asked. Then, he heard a scream from the phone it was serene who was watching the creature inside of the glass egg cried out.
"There is a water monster…I don't know who…" she said before the phone went dead.
All that Seiya could hear was the buzzing of the dial tone. He felt like he was helpless in a way because of the not being here for her. He wanted to run over to save her. He had to least wake up Taika to run over to Serna's house and found out what was going. Seiya was going to find where the others were. He had a feeling of dread in his mind.
Meanwhile, the creature inside of the egg had instant broken through and was now hoovering front of the window. Water was not dripping down and on to the carpeting. It seemed like it was being pulled back onto cords whack connected to the back of the creature and the cracked center of the egg. Serena was so terrified to move, she merely breathed so gently, she felt her own heart quickly its pace. She said, "what are you?"
"I am the past and the present…there is a great deal of conflict in the world….I can see what I have done before it has happen!" the creature said.
At first, the idea of being terrified as just as bad of feeling utter confusion in her mind, but Serena stared at the creature with wide eyes. She gasped, "Uh?"
"You have any idea where you are going?"
"Or in fact…myself!" the creature said as it began to shifted itself around an area close to the window. It came close to the window to stare out. It was shocked a little as it noted it's refraction on the window. Then, it swung around to stare at Serna.
Luna was with Serena was just as shocked at the creature. She had been standing next to Serena. She wanted to know if there was something she could ask or do.
"If there was something you could do…" the creature said as it began to read Luna's mind.
"What?" Luna and Serena gasped in shock.
"You are connected to me…I am connected to you!" the creature pointed to itself.
"This is too weird for me!" Serena shook her head.
"And what else is there left to do?" The creature asked. It twisted and turned as it looked around there room. Then, as if it was searching from a possible exit, it found a new victim.
Hotura entered the room to see what was going on. She noticed Serena and Luna sitting in the living with shocked stares on their faces. She asked, "What's going on?"
"A revolutionary!" the creature said before lunging towards Hotura.
Hotura was frightened by the creature that was now lunging towards her. The only thing which could have been a complete distaste for Hotura was the fact she was just standing just a few inches away. The creature was trying to reach out to make a grab for her.
Serena and Luna were watching for an opening. She cried out, "WATCH OUT….HOTURA!"
"I AM!" the young girl with purple eyes cried out. Houtra backed away quickly as she could. She could hear Reenie asking her a question. Houtra said, "Just stay put there..."
"Why?" Reenie's vice could be heard from the hall.
"Just stay there!" Hotura ordered. She was going to protect Reenie. Hotura believed it was a threat from the dark forces. She glanced over to where Luna and Serena were. She asked, "What happened?"
"There was a phone call and..." Serena began to say.
"Phone call?" the creature questioned Hotura.
"You were asking the wrong person!" Hotura said as she glanced at a darkened room. She wasn't sure if there anyone in that room.
"Phone call?" the creature asked a cuter on the wall. It was checking out every last piece of wall hangings and people that it came in contact with. It skidded around in midair so far before it stopped back at Hotura. It appearance like a flying snake as it hovered in the hallway.
Meanwhile in the house where Dusty was staying, he had been awakening with a nightmare. It was mingled with a pain which wracked his mind. Sleeping was out of the questioned as he tried to not draw attention to himself. He was sharing a room with Steve and Jerry. He blindly looked at his clock on the bed stand. It was nearly going on two in the morning. He ally in the bed with the sheets twisted around him like a strange cocoon.
Jerry and Steve were sleeping so soundly it seemed like Dusty was the only one there. He tried to sit up to see if the pain would go away. It would let him go. He felt like he was in a trap after what seemed like he was able to sleep for a little while. When he woke up from the pain which had started in the back of his neck, Dusty was unable to sit up.
He glanced at Jerry's bed. Jerry was lying in bed with one arm dangling from the bed. Then, Dusty glanced over to where Steve was. Steve had the sheets nearly pulled up to his chin. He did not move as his breathing was deep.
"Where are you?" a voice echoed in Dusty's mind. He felt a bolt of pain slamming inn his skull. He winced at the pressure. It was taking a great deal force to bring Dusty to the breaking point. He let out a cry which startled both Steve and Jerry.
Jerry opened his eyes slowly. He noticed the room was dark. Steve rolled over to the side where the cry came from. Jerry rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He turned to look at Dusty. Dusty was now sitting up, but he was doubled over with the pain from his mind. Jerry wanted to turn on the light. He asked in a loud whisper, "What's going on?"
Dusty turned his head to glance at his friend. He gritted his teeth and gasped, 'There is pain in my head!"
Steve was waking up himself. He said without opening his eyes, "take a pill!"
Dusty felt insulted as he glared at Steve, "you shut up!"
Steve breathed loudly. He felt like punching out Dusty for waking him up. He and Jerry wanted to know the reason for Dusty's outburst.
Jerry asked, "What happened?"
Dusty breathed slowly, letting his mind tried to relax. He opened his eyes to see jerry flipping on a small lamp on his nightstand. He said, "I have no idea what is going on!"
Jerry was going to get out of bed; he wanted to get a hold of Terri who was sleeping in the next room. He slowly pulled back the covers on the bed as he tried to get out of bed. He said, "I'm going to get Terri...you look awful."
"You have no idea what the pain is like!" dusty said.
"And what else?" Steve asked veer slowly. He watched as Dusty tried to start up again. He knew Dusty was not lying.
"I just had a very horrible nightmare…there was not any sign of relief. It seemed like it was going on and on!" Dusty breathed. He placed a hand up to his forehead. There were beads of sweat on his face. It seemed he was troubled.
"What was it like…the nightmare?" Jerry was looming over his floor for these slippers. He grabbed the slippers after a minute of finding them.
"It was dark…it was so dark!" Dusty breathed again.
Steve felt like he was being feed a line of crap. He asked with a skeptical eye, "then, how can you tell?"
"I can hear vices. It was like being in a closet!" Dusty sighed. He reached over to comb back his bangs. He watched as Jerry got his slippers on. He pulled up the covers ion Hui bed. The cold was not a real factor. It was more like an idea who lost his mummy and daddy. He felt the warmth in the converse. He wanted to be sure he was comfortable in his retelling of his nightmare.
"I had a dream like that too!" Steve said. He did not smile. Instead Steve wanted to hear Dusty's dream was like his.
"All I could see was light...a bright light!" Dusty began to say. Then, he told about what the dream was like to Steve and jerry. There was a few images of a girl who could have been riot dressed in a molarity school uniform. She was looked like she had been so young into the dream. He wondered if it was Rio or not. Then, he would see from time to time people and creatures he had never seen before.
"What were they like?" Jerry said. He was starting for the door after he got out of bed.
Dusty could not put words in mind to describe the masters who were there in his dream. He was in closet with just a mere crack of light. His story contained on about the girl. She was so much like Rio, it seemed like he was going to open the door and call out her name.
"The normality in his dream was dark…wasn't it Dusty?" Steve asked.
"They were more like stiff clockworks…no souls!" Dusty said.
There was a on the door. Jerry was now out of bed and was heading for the bedroom door. Before he opened the door, he asked, "Why are you dreaming this?"
"I don't know…it feels like I had hooked up with someone else's past!" Dusty said.
Jerry opened the door and found both Allen and Terri standing in the hallway. They were both a little blurred eyed. "Come on in and see if you can make any sense of this?" Jerry said. Jerry turned to walk back to his bed. Terri and Allen entered the room. Terri said, "What happened…I just got in and someone was screaming!"
"Sorry…it was me!" dusty award.
"And did you have a bad dream!" Allen said.
"Yea… like I was telling the others…I had no idea who or what was going on. I thought I saw
Rio in my dreams. She was dressed in school uniform, but not like ours. She looked like a real military dress. She didn't even look my way."
There were glances exchanged for a second. Then, Dusty felt his whole being starting to break apart. He began to stare at a wall with wide eyes. His heart was pounding against his chest.
"Steve!" Allen said as he realized Dusty was having his own vision. Steve nodded before hoping out of bed. He ran over to see if Dusty needed help.
"He's fading!" Jerry said.
Dusty would have visions like Rio, but his was short and to the point. Rio was heavily connected to the spirit world than dusty. He was just a conduit to her own powers. She did know about Dusty's abilities with storms and other weather related occurrences. It was like he knew when the right time in a storm was easy enough to get through.
"It had to do with Rio…she is in some sort of trouble," Jerry said, he watched as Dusty fell back onto his pillow.
Dusty was deep in his own dream world. It was like visiting the same plain as Rio would often go to when she was having visions. He could hear water falling all around him. It was both fighting and attraction to him. The plain of his sight was that of a dark blue horizon.
"Where am I?" he asked, letting his eyes get use to the darkness.
"you are all in the world where you are supposed to be in?" a voice questioned him.
Dusty looked around to see who was talking to him. There was no one to be seen. He was a little afraid when after he had given himself a minute to let his sense get use to where they were at.
In the stillness of the plain where Dusty was at, he could hear wind. It sounded like he was out in the open. The moon was out in a full disk shape. It seemed like he had been looking for someone who was on the moon. He glanced around to see if anyone else was in the same era as he was. There was no one.
"And where is she," the voice asked him. The sound filled his ears.
Dusty cupped his hands over his ears. The sound was both a pain and connection to him. He wanted to find Rio.
The voice asked again, "The one who you are looking for?"
Feeling like he was at the end of his rope, Dusty said, "Quit be all this crazy open ended questions. I don't know who you are!"
"The master is the school room, counting out the students," the voice said. Then, a tinny, nearly nerve splitting laugh made Dusty feel like he was in a horrible vision of the future. The voice who was talking to him was now laughing at his connections to her.
"And why are you telling me this?"
"You are connected to her!"
Dusty felt like he was getting somewhere. He asked, "Her…who her?"
"The one who had left and found out a dangerous secret!"
Dusty caught himself as he thought, "Who is the one?"
"And she would be lost to you for the rest of her life!" the voice said.
"Who are you talking about?" he asked. He felt like he had stopped dead in tracks. He glanced around for a possible answer and found nothing. He wondered if he was going to be there in his vision for a while. Then, he felt something pulling at him.
Then, he saw her. She was here, in his vision. She looked so innocent in her uniform. She did not know he was there. All she did was looked around for someone else. He was schooled to the core as he watched her finding a guy who was wearing a male uniform of the same colors as hers. She smiled at guy and motioned him over. It appeared he was watching a past occurrence. It was buried in Rio's memories so deep, she had forgotten it.
It was like a very bad joke to Dusty. He felt somewhat ill as he watched her as she hugged the guy before looking at a picture on a wall. At first it did not bother him. Dusty believed it was a friendly gestor. Rio was always giving people encouragement and loves her whole life. She always told him that she rather give than take as she lived with the sole idea of healing the world oath love and trust than bitterness.
A spark was starting to eat at him. Was this jealously he was feeling. He did want to feel this needful sin of jersey. He tried to let Rio have her own way. She was a big girl who was happy with everything.
He thought, "Where does she get off…"
Then, he had seen her hugging the other boy. The boy appeared to be much older than Rio. She looked like she was thirteen. Was he a friend of Rio's? What was going on? There was a lapse of a near six months where Rio was missing. Was just one of her captures was nice to her. He had wondered what really did happen to her.
"I don't believe it. She was all sweetness and light to me…" he thought before stopping so short. His memoires of her was not all the way clear. She had another boyfriend who was in the military, just he was. Instead of being in the air force, he looked like he was in the army.
Then, something inside of him slammed his mind to the breaking point. What was going on with him? He could hear an ear shattering scream. Them, people running down a hall as their feet hit the pavement with record speed. He felt like he was going to be sick as he could hear another voice laughing beyond hesitancies and babbling nonsensible. He looked at the ever changing landscape to see people falling over from unknown strings. He smelt copper, a burnt gun power and oil came from every corner. He had to wake up.
Just before the seconds of waking from the vision, he could hear gunshots filling his ears with a nail biting loop.
Dusty jolted awake to the world of normalcy. He felt his heart pounding in his head. It was horrible nightmare. He could taste coppery water in his mouth. Did he bit himself by accident? He did not need to check up on his lip. The blood and salt from his lower lip was all he needed to know.
Steve looked at him and said, "You really had bit your lip very hard!"
Dusty closed his eyes for a minute or two, before feeling his lower lip with his tongue. He opened his eyes to see Terri entering the room. He groaned a little, "Sorry!"
"There was nothing to be sorry about….you look you had a nightmare. What happened?" Terri said. He came up to the bedside. He wanted to give dusty a quick glance.
"I had a vison and a horrible one as well!" Dusty breathed. His mind was trying to figure out what was all this vision about. He did not have the slightest idea to this nightmare he just had.
"Let me look at the lip of yours…" Terri noticed dusty's lower lip was starting to puff out a little. It was near the place where Rio had hit him early with a shovel as they were children.
"Steve can you make up some tea and we can get started…I have a feeling it's going to be a long time!" Terri said.
Alex was the first one to be at the water tower. His senses were at full tilt. He wanted to see if Rio was still there. He closed his eyes just a second to see what or who was with Rio. He had a sense there was a darker presence there with her than he coupled ever image. He was with Galaxia for now. He was trying to be like Nick, but with her powers of evil had fallen far too quickly back to an evil he had felt where his world was so young. Now, to the present, he had felt this evil. This was beyond his scope of what was good and evil. This horrible feeling was cover in a sweet, hallucinating haze, it overwhelmed him. He had to break free.
Inside of the water tower's bottom floor, Rio sat crossed legged. She had a dazed stare in her eyes. Everything, but breathing and thinking of the past had slowed down. Something outside was trying to get inside of her memories.
A worm type creature had oozed out of a corner of the room which riot was sitting at. It looked at her with fiery eyes. She did not realize who or what it was. It glared at her as it leaned all the way forward to see what Rio was thinking about. It hissed, "Miss Lyonstone…I presume!"
There was no response from Rio.
The worm was bigger than a snake, but the face was that of an old man. It wore a judge's wig and part of its neck stood out like a judge's robe collar. The strange old fashion eyeglasses made the worm like a horrible characterizer. It got so close to Rio, it stared deeply into her eyes, "What are you thinking about …my dear?"
Inside of Rio's mind was replaying the past that was hidden away from her. She was still so young when she had seen her first upraising and possible of a murder was committed in front of her. She had been there in the state of shock for hours after she was placed in a circle. She tried to put the whole idea out if her mind. She had another image of two guys dragging her way from the area where the murder took place.
Then, everything went white. Another vision was that of being inside of that capsule with no idea on how to run the controls. Lights and noise filled her senses.
A third vision of field. Where she was, she did not know. It was compel in the dark. She wanted to scream, but found out she had no voice to speak of.
"And are you going home to?" a voice asked her inside of herself.
"I just want to be at home…I want to be with my family and friends. Why did you take me away from them?" she thought. She had old morose of the past before the other visions flood her mind. They were of a time when she was just a child, no older than Reenie. She was so happy.
"What are you thinking about?" the voice asked her for a second time.
Her uncles and aunts were as loving towards her as she grew up. She reminded herself the times got in and out of trouble. The many times she had to learn on her own on how to be reasonable. She had missed her partners and asked for them many times.
"What happened to you?" the voice asked her for a third time.
A great power surge hit her with the speed of light. Everything was staring to be too many for her as images whirled past her at a lighting pace. She placed hands up to the sides of her head. The mind could only take so much before absolute exhausted. She felt not a mere stomachache. This was full out panic attack. Her heart tightened with very beat. She wanted to fight the worm until it had to let her go.
"What is it?" the worm asked.
"I want me mummy and da!" she said.
"Your mummy and da?" it asked. The worm was shocked as it stared at her from all sides by the use of its many eyes. The eyes began to break off to form long tubes of many eyes. It was like watching an ugly vision of a flower growing at a rapid growth. It had instantly grown frustrated with Rio as it tried to probe Rio's memory. It was like there was door that was not only locked, but bolted from both sides with steel latches.
Rio's mind buzzed with fear and pain. Something was tossing her past like a ball. She wanted to stop the whole idea from getting out.
"You don't have a mummy or a da!" the worm snapped. It stopped growing towards her. It decided to move back in to itself.
Rio felt spent with every passing minute. She wanted to be at her world, the one she had grown to trust again. "I want to go home!" she sighed.
"What…?" the worm hissed. The worm wanted to break Rio once and for all of the present. It needed rot think of a way to destroy Rio veer quickly.
Fate had other ideas in the works.
Alex felt like he could not do any more than just stand by the sidelines and hope for a break. He had instantly teleported to the area where he had last seen Rio. He thought to himself, "Where could she had gone?"
He checked the water tower. With no idea what he was going to face, Alex tried to open the door to the water town. He grabbed for the door handle and was nearly thrown back. There was a powerful bearer that was protecting the door. To Alex it smelt like a set up. He was still laying on the ground, slightly stunned, but upset.
"what's going?" a voice hissed in his ears.
"nothing, Nick!" Alex thought to himself. He was surprised to see Nick on his tail. On sitting up, he looked around to see Nick standing on the sidewalk near the water tower. after gathering up what was left of his powers, he stood up. He said, "I know where Rio is…"
"what?" Nick asked, he was a little surprised. He had followed Alex to find out where Rio was. He was going help Alex with capturing at least one of the sailor sensei. With a reasonable idea, Nick questioned Alex, "she can't be in there!"
"Yea…I was going to check out the tower and I got zapped!" Alex huffed. He wondered why keep a security system on a water tower, like an electrical system. it was most puzzling to him. He had no feeling of being zapped as he stood up. His body was quick to recover.
"How could the tower have that kind of early warning device on its doors?" Nick asked. It was like a part of his old self was coming back. He scanned for any other sort of danger. After a minute of finding out there was nothing, he said, "You better be a little bit safer."
Another vice asked, "it looks like you need some help!"
The two turned to see both Tiger's eye and Prince Diamond standing on the empty street. Nick and Alex felt like they were tagging along for the ride. They did want any help at all. Nick hissed, "What are you doing here?"
"Oh…just watching!" Prince Diamond hissed back with a smirk. He was going to let even be his
tool.
"We don't need your help!" Alex growled. He marched over to the door once again. He hoped he was not going to be zapped again. He carefully placed a hand up to the door handle. His mind raced with the possibility of being hurt even worst. One turned off the handle to relieve something strange. He felt a surge of power. This was totally different from the zap that he reviewed before. He could see images of riot flooding into his mind's eye. He wanted to scream as the images of Rio were from the time she went missing. They were coming way too fast for him.
Then, he had a let go of the handled.
"Alex?" Nick gasped. He and the other two could sense the evil coming from the tower itself, the evil was darker in its presncetn.
"What is this aura?" Prince diamond asked. He too felt the evil. He did not want to embrace the evil instead he wanted to be as far away as he possible could.
A long tube had shot out of the middle of the water tower and started to take shape. There were no eyes, but a clear mouth that was forming in the tube. It came up to both Alex and Nick. It asked, "Wouldn't you like to know!"
"What in the world?" Nick gasped. As he stared widely at the tube, he felt the evil tearing him from the inside.
"Nick?" Prince Diamond cried out. He watched as Nick sank to his knees before darting over to where Nick and Alex was. There was a great deal of helplessness inside of Prince Diamond which he could not describe. "What is that?" he gaped in a stunned fear.
"What is that…what is that…. that is what?" the voice hissed in a cold tone.
"We asked first…!" Tiger's eye growled. He had instate called forth his whip. He started to pat his opened palm on his left hand.
the air grew hot with anger. the creature who was holding riot hostage was not going to her go. she was still under the influence of dark forces. Nick watched as Alex became frightened by the evil which oozed out of the opened doorway.
"Why are you doing this to her?" Alex asked the tube. it watched as he twisted around to see itself in his eyes. he knew this was not right. he had seen riot in the many station of observation in Galaxia's kingdom. he was going to save her in a blindly fashion. he hoped if they were both saved, he would be up there with the others in Galaxia's minions.
"Who are you talking about?" the tube asked in a strange voice. it sounded howl and deep, like the wind.
"Her...Rio...Miss Lyonstone!" he sputtered. he glared at the tube with fire in his eyes.
meanwhile, Seiya was now running down the street. it was so still. he felt his heart beating through his chest. his breathing was raggy and tasted like copper salt. he knew it was still the middle of the night. he wanted to be sure that Rio was going to see another sun rise on the risk of losing his own life. He was being guided by his own feelings of terror.
He could not get the dream out of his head. It buzzed bee like in his mind when he let his feet guide him to where he was supposed to go.
he could hear people from a distance. At frost he believed it was someone who decided to stay up late and gang outside. He was wrong. There was a glimpse of Prince Diamond standing on the street. He hoped he was not spotted. It took only for a second to realize Rio was not there to be seen. Where was she at? He had to be careful when he tried to uncover what happened to her.
"I'm getting nowhere with this!" Alex said. He was about to pull off the door by its hinges. He leaned forward with all of his power and stated to pull at the door. He felt the door not giving in. instead there was a great deal of electrical bolts coming from the knob. He let out a scream as Nick and tiger's eye rushed over to help out as best as they could. Hate was being instigated, trying into an engulfing surge as well. The screaming increased. This was no normal electric. This was a matter which had no earthly source at all.
Seiya wanted to help out in the worst way. He was about to run over to see what he could do when he had felt a hand on his shoulder. He nearly jumped out of his skin as he had to stifle a scream. He turned to see two figures who were not sailor sensei. He breathed as his heart thudded in his chest, "Joe-Casey…Hiram!"
Joe-Casey placed two fingers on his lips and quietly hushed Sekiya.
"What are you doing here?" he whispered loud enough for the other two to listen.
"I should ask you the same question. Shouldn't you be in bed?" Joe-Casey asked. He was dressed in jeans and a Tom Petty t-shirt while his brother was dressed in a pair of grey cargo shorts and a plain blue polo shirt. "I had a vision about Little Coyote. She was in a pool of water and she couldn't get out!"
"Uh?" Sekiya asked, his face was now twisted in puzzlement.
"You know she can't swim!" Haram said.
"That's beside the point. She had time where she couldn't have anyone know about her past. She was missing for so long!" Joe-Casey said.
"I remember passages in her dairy about losing herself in her mummeries of what I still don't' understand!" Sekiya said.
"Why or how?" Joe-Casey asked. He tried to get Sekiya to open up just a little. He wanted to be sure this was not a stunt against rio.
"She had extremely bad nightmares. She was so frail at times; it was like she couldn't get out of her mind if she was right or wrong. Even Alex was afraid he had lost her for good to her nightmares and missing past."
"She hadn't been all that great in the mind for a while…." Joe-Casey said. Then, he glanced at the tower. He told Sekiya, riot being a bright girl, but frighten at the past. "Some creep got a hold of her and messed with her mind. She isn't stupid. We know she will have a normal life. She had been with her boyfriend Dusty and he's great with her as a good supporter!"
"he's very protective of her!" Sekiya said. He remembered quickly on how much Dusty was there for riot when she was ill and when she had lost Bobbie.
Then, Joe-Casey felt a little amiss. It was the feeling of being pinned down by spirits who had brought him and his brother to the tower. He heard the vices of the elders telling him in his mind where Rio was and why she was held captive.
"What is it, brother?" Hiram asked, his face became very concerned with the idea Rio was not coming out of the tower at any time soon. He wanted to be sure they were not walking into a trap.
"they are ripping her mind apart. She is not going make it fighter keep on digging into the past!" Joe-Casey said. He let the spirits tell him what was going on with rio.
Meanwhile back in the tower, riot felt her powers being drained. She couldn't wake up from the trance she had found herself in. she wanted to stop the pain in her head. Everything was being pulled apart so quickly, riot prayed that she would have an enough stamina.
"What are you hoping for…a quick release?" the vice asked.
Rio food it difficult to think let a long to speak, but she managed to said, "Why are you doing this to me…I have not done a thing to you!"
"Little fool!" the voice hisses. "What makes you so special…you have no past, no present and no future."
"I have a past…the future is what I can make of it…that's what my granddad would tell me…the presents are here and now…"
"You don't have one…"
"Please let me go!"
"Not until I see your past…"
"that's not what I wanted to hear!"
"I feel ill!"
The words seemed to be like bullets as they flew all over the room. Rio wanted to be set free from this strange nightmare. She had to be herself as she was questioned by the voice. She asked, "What did you want of me?"
"There is a part of your past that you don't even remember all that well!" the voice asked. The hissing had cooled down a lite.
Rio knew about her memories which had gone missing. She wanted to be free from the pain. Sue could not get her mind around the idea there was a mental block on those memories. There were unseen creatures who were keeping the missing past from being uncovered. She had no control on those forces who were holding them.
"What are you thinking about…." The voice asked, it was a mix of cold and sweet. "Are you thinking about those memories?"
Rio could nearly feel the memories flooding back into her mind. There was a hidden door inside of her mind. In her state of being at the time., Rio had remembered a few bits of her past. She tried to clear her mind to focus on what was in her mind at the present time.
She could see a guy who was dressed in a school uniform. He was buyer nice looking and sort of liked Rio. She blinked to another vision of two other guys. They were dressed so differently it was odd. One was dressed in an 1860's uniform of the Texas National guard. He was short like Steve and had long blond hair. He was just around the sixteen mark in age. His face was long and his blue eyes were soft in their gaze. The second was different in both structure and uniform. He was dressed in a 1940's American army air core uniform including officer's hat. This face was just getting a younger twenties edge while he was still just seventeen. The image had left a burning mark in riot's memories. She wanted to see what was going with them. Events of the past and there present were holding her back in the water tower. She felt upset at herself. Why was she feeling this way?
"Who are you thinking about this time?" the vice asked.
"What happened to the creature who you were talking to?" a voice, a second voice rang in Rio's mind.
Rio was instantly had shut everything down again. Her whole entire being was forced in a matter of a second of being complete withdrawn. She just began to stare blankly at the walls. She was no longer talking to anyone. She just was a mere shell.
"What happened?" the first voice who rang out in the tower gasped in horror.
Rio just sat there with no response from her…. none what so ever.
"There is something inside of her that is highly value to us…to our cause!" the first voice housed like a child who just lost his toy.
Rio was shutting herself away from the while, but for what reason. She did not have any sort of good reason to do it. She felt like her world was getting a little nerve wracking. She wanted a quick exit. This was another part of her which she rarely used.
The voices were going to get rid of her quickly. She was no longer of any use to them. If they could not get the information they wanted, then it was a quick and easy elevation.
It seemed like all the door to the sprite plain were kicked violently opened. Seiya, Alex, Joe-Casey and Rei had both felt something breaking into their minds all at the same time. Dusyt was still in bed at his house when he stopped breathing. It was like the cords which held him in place with Rio were cut with a sword. It the mere shock which took Dust's breath await. He was being exiled by Terri when he gasped once and turned a bright blue in the face. Terri knew what to do. He had Jerry helping him with CPR on Dusty. Steve and Aleena wordless when the hallway to make a call for ambulance.
Time was of the essence.
Hakura and Lita were the first to show up at the street which lead up to back entrance of the medical arts building. It was still dark. They took extra precautions on not Bering spotted. They noticed the others starting to gathering around the water tower. What was going on? Lite told Haruki that she had a feeling Rio was trapped in the tower and had no real chance to space.
"Why was your dream about Rio?" Hakura asked. She knew the inners had treated Rio like a sister. Were they that close.
"It was more like a call for help…Rio does have a storming physical powers like Rei, but she keeps them out reach until she really needs them," Lite said, giving Hu Kura a little bit of insight of what made Rio such a strong scout.
"Was she under a spell?" Harker asked.
"I'm not sure…but here is a horrible feeling coming from that tower…I don't think it's the enemy!" Lita said.
"yea, I can feel it too. It feels like beyond all the darkens that we have fought in the past. I don't think even Galaxia could even begin with this feeling!" Hakura shook her head slightly.
"There is another lead to all this…Rio is that tower, but it's locked…how in the heck did she get in?" Lite asked.
"we don't know!" Hachure watched as Alex tried to walk over to the water tower door and open it. He was thrown off for another try by the guardian creature.
It took only seconds for the creature who was guarding the tower to bring rio to the top of tower. The creature was made out of liquid. She was still under the influence of the metal wall she placed herself into. She sat near a light set of vertical light poles. They blinked in a series of red lights. She was oblivious to the constancy of flashing lights above her head. She looked out on the skyline of the houses which dotted the landscape. It was cold and windy as she sat. what was holding her in place was a thin almost spider like tread which was looped around her stomach and tired at a small, man sized door on top of the tower.
The creature who was holding Rio captive oozed out of the doorway. She taking no noticed of the creature, she just breathed as she sat. she was not going anywhere. There was no room for escape. She had to think of a way breaking free from everything. She was starting gain her will back, but very slowly.
Alex just stared into the sky. He had a strange feeling Rio was trying to break free from her world of non-control.
"What so was going on?" Nick asked. He watched as Alex glanced around as he found out the door was opened after he had tried to open it a few attempts. He was shocked to see the lights that were still on in the control room. The pumps and computer were not even touched. It was a sign of things to come in the hours before dawn.
"I don't know. There was a human or even two. I know one had to be riot…I could tell by her scent. The other is strange, it had a weird odder of sourness and salt?' Alex said, taking in a breath.
Nick came close to Alex and nearly fell back with the odder. To him it was like that scent of rotting fruit or vegetables with a strong scent of rubbing alcohol or ammonia. He turned his head when he back away for a minute or two to catch his breath.
"I have a feeling…she's not there!" Alex said. He tried to fix his senses on her scent, her present. There were conflicting road blocks that were getting in his way. He wanted to focus so badly, he couldn't.
Meanwhile, all of Joe-Casey mystical powers were in prefect alinement with Rio's sprit angry. He was far enough away for his powers to contact her. She was very weak and hard to reach from all top of the tower. Her powers were weak, only Joe-Casey could reach. He told first Hitmen to stay with Sekiya. Then, he would go. Hitmen asked, "Where are you going, brother?"
"to the cold winds dance, brother!" Joe-Casey said.
Sekiya was far too busy to be even paying attention to the two brothers as he watched the dark kingdom. Just as he turned around to speak he noticed Joe-Casey was gone. He stared at the larger brother and asked, "where did Joe-Casey go?"
Sekiya glanced around to see if Joe-Casey was. He was not there.
Joe-Casey changed into his spirit form of eagle. He was born a shape shifter like his brother Harem. His sister Marie was born human. He and his siblings were part of an ancient tribe of Native Americans. He flew to the top of the water tower at lighting speed. He noticed Rio sitting at the ever top. He also noticed a strange worm type create hoovering over riot. It paced in front of riot as it talked to her.
The worm type creature was feed to the teeth with Rio's reaction to its questioning. "Why is that you seemed to be hiding the truth…you were there at the time of the murdering of the headmaster!"
Rio was very slowly coming around to speak, "Ruby?" her stare was still there.
"Ruby!" the worm spat violently into the air, its glasses jerked nearly off its face. Then, carefully shaping a hand with long fingers, it replaced the glasses back onto its face. "And she messed up her plans! Why I bothered with her is being measure!"
Joe-Casey diode not recognized the creature. He kept out of sight just by peeking over the edge.
The worm was getting ready to push Rio off of the edge. It wobbled over to rio without stretched arms. Rio looked up and screamed as her senses finally broke through. The worm believed Rio was just astringing out of her own terror of facing up to a lie.
It paused for just a second as it asked, "Why do you struggle so?"
Rio did not have time to either speak or think. The entire world suddenly froze. Rio was starting to fight off the worm with her whole body. She slicked and shoved with whole body at the oozing beast. Her screams were pure panic as she began to slip off the top. Joe-Casey whipped around to end edge where Rio was slipping. He reached out with large feathered hands to make a grab for her.
The worm was surprised at the strange looking creature that was scooping up rio. It was Joe-Casey's spirit form who also caught the on-looker's attention, on the ground below. The worm was outraged to the breaking point. It wanted to reach for Rio in any sort of taking her back. It was too late when she was slowly falling into Joe-Casey's hands.
the worm screamed, "WHO IS THIS BEAST!"
for years Joe-Casey was use to all sorts of nasty words being tossed into his face by people who not very kind. He grew up in the fact of a strong and proud man who was used his words filled compassion and grace instead of words filled with an acidy hate. He spoke in a firm and clear tone, "this cub does not belong to you! She belongs to the human tribe as a protector!"
the worm's words were icy as it blasted, "this trader knows too much and would have not even signed a confession to the truth!"
Joe-Casey did have search in his heart for very long, "that is a lie, your slimy beast. She is innocent of your false charge!"
rio was still fighting the worm as she felt Joe-Casey holding her tight. She was crying, "Get me out of here!"
the worm was going to finish Rio off once and for all. It was so for both Rio and Joe-Casey did not see it coming. The worm as made out of salt, a salt that could take in electrical power. The worm had to come up with aa quick charge being using its tail. Its tail was quickly wrapped around the light pole just above riot's head. It was hoping that the heat could bring out a static charge.
The worm glared at the sky for any sort of electrical charges. It was just a few seconds before the air grew hot. Then, it happened, the sky turned from a dark blue to a blood red. A smile trickled on the worm's lips. It knew the lighting was going to strike which could send Rio to her end. Fate had another plan at the works. Joe-Casey had some idea of the oncoming lighting. He quickly flew away with Rio still ion his arms. He faced the Worm as he flew backwards, making sure that the worm was not going to attack Rio. He knew she was too valuable a girl to let die. He was going let himself die as a sort of trade, a life for a life. He was going let the worm attacked him. He knew his life was drawing to a close with the cancer. Instead of a long and drawn out game of waiting, he was going to cut it sort. In other words, cut it short his life as Rio's life could go on.
The others on the ground were watching as the strange man-bird was trying to save Rio. It was a strange sort dance as the worm was drawing the lighting from the skies and the man-bird was trying to rescue life.
The skies instantly filled with a red light as the thunder rolled over their heads. Rio grew even more terrified at the sight. She had living flashbacks in her mind as she watched the clouds were gathering up just enough to let loose a charge. She heard from Joe-Casey to shut her eyes tight as he was going to make a dive bomb drop to the ground. On turning around, the worm found a quick opening to let Joe-Casey have it. As Joe Casey was about to descend, the Worm let the lighting loose. It used its body as a lightning rod. Then, the worm thrusted a long oozy hand out to make the attack on Joe Casey's back. It just
took a few seconds before the full power of the lighting smashed into Joe Casey. He felt pain like no other when a hot wedge of lighting tore through his back. He held everything in, as he became too weak to even fly. He had to hold on to Rio as he fell. Rio watched in horror as she felt the air rushed past her. She knew they were falling at a rapid rate.
Joe-Casey swallowed, "I will not let you die...you are a precious creature and I will keep you from harm!"
He felt his back being ripped apart as he tried to fly. The blast burnt his feathers.
It was just a few seconds before another vision slammed into Rio. She could see an opened field coming very quickly as she noticed it was not in the middle of the night. It was in the middle of the afternoon. Then, everything went black.
