The kingdom of Fiore.

A small, peaceful nation of 17 million, and a place filled with magic. Found in every home. Bought and sold in every marketplace for most, magic is merely a tool. A mundane part of everyday life. For some, however, magic is an art, and they've devoted their lives to its practice. These are the wizards. Banded together into magical guilds, they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore.

But there's a certain guild in a certain town that sores high above the rest. One from which countless legends have been born. A guild that will no doubt continue to create legends well into the future. Its name is Fairy Tail.

However, they weren't the only ones that knew magic. For long ago, giant monsters roamed the lands. Mighty and intelligent creatures that lived in Earthland alongside humankind. Some even considered them to be the true rules of the world and called them the Titans. Some lived in harmony with humans and were worshiped as gods, while others were vile and wanted nothing more than to destroy whatever they saw. And others simply wanted to be left alone.

They were engines of ultimate destruction, but as time went on, most of these Titans disappeared. And their existence remained in legends.

But there was one that didn't go away. A Titan considered by many to be an alpha predator that brought balance to nature, magic, and humanity. Some call him Earthland's last line of defense against total annihilation. Some call him an animal that's merely driven by instincts. But all believe him to being a god incarnated.

The King of the Monsters.

His name is…

Skull Island Part 3:

The Battle for Skull Island

Skull Island. That is the real name of the island that has been called Galuna Island. The name change was so that wizards wouldn't be deterred from coming to the island. But why? Skull Island is one of the most dangerous and hostile places in the world. The animals are strange and unique, but the most noticeable creatures are some of the most vicious and frightening animals ever seen on Earthworld.

The chances of you surviving a day are very slim.

However, for the Iwi people, Skull Island was their home. But they've been plagued by something malevolent. A curse has been placed on the island that transforms the people and animals into demons.

That's why the Iwi villagers sent out a quest request in the first place. To bring a powerful wizard to Skull Island and break the curse that has taken many of their people. But due to the dangers of the island, it had to be lambed as an S-Class quest.

When Gray woke up the next day, he remembered why he was here in the first place. The reason why he was on the most dangerous island in the world was because Natsu and Happy broke guild rules and took on the quest. Dragging the new Fairy Tail wizards, Sam, Lucy, and Jasper along with them. He tried to stop them, but was knocked out and brought along. Now he was stuck on the island, met another Titan-Slayer, Ernest Copper, and fought Lyon.

Lyon.

Now Gray remembered. He lost.

As he woke up and opened his eyes. Gray noticed two things. The first was that he was inside a tent. The second was the pain that his body was in had softened greatly. Thanks to the bandages around his torso, shoulders, and torso.

With some effort, he rose to his feet and stepped outside of the tent. He was back in the Iwi village, even though it looked like it went through a war. Still, the villagers were safe, and that's all that mattered.

"Gray!" said a familiar voice coming from behind. Gray turned and saw Ernest running up to him. "Good to see you're awake," he said with a smile.

"What happened?" Gray asked, noticing that Ernest was back to his human form.

"Lyon sent his goons to destroy the village, but we defeated them," Ernest said with a proud smile and his fists on his hips. "Luckily, everyone's alright."

Gray remembered that now. Lyon ordered his lackeys to raid the Iwi village and kill everyone. It disgusted him, and hard for Gray to believe he'd actually do that.

"It's a relief that no one died," Gray said, smiling at the young man. "Are the others still here?"

Ernest's smile dropped, and he rubbed his arm. "Well...that's why I was sent to get you. Lucy, Happy, Jasper, and Natsu are still here, but Natsu said that Sam went back to the temple. However…"

"What?"

"You've got a bit of a problem. Someone from your guild came to bring you back," Ernest informed the Ice Wizard before pointing to a large hut. "They wanted you to meet them over in that hut."

Gray's eyes widened for a moment. Makarov sent another guild member already? And how did they get past the storm? However, even if they got past the storm, there was still a job that needs to be done, and he was going to see it through to the end.

The two walked over to the hut and walked inside. When Gray stepped inside, he froze when he saw the people inside of the hut. Currently, Lucy, Happy, Jasper, and Natsu were all tied up. Lucy and Happy looked absolutely miserable. Jasper was placed on a stool with his mouth covered up by tape, looking more annoyed than anything else. Natsu was another story altogether. His body was hanging upside down from the ceiling, completely tied up in metal chains, and his mouth was wrapped in several layers of tape. The Dragon-Slayer was thrashing around, trying to break out of his bonds.

And then there was Erza Scarlet. Sitting calmly on a chair with her legs crossed and her hands folded over her lap, and with a furious glare.

"You made me wait," she said in a calm yet dark tone, "Not smart."

"Well, he was knocked out," Ernest said with a deadpan expression.

"Erza!?" Gray screeched, recoiling in fear. There was only one girl in the world whose wraith haunted Gray's nightmares, and that was Erza Scarlet. The Ice Maker wizard started sweating out of fear.

"The hell are you all so afraid of her for?" Ernest asked, still not getting why she was so scary.

"Why are they tied up?" Gray asked, referring to Lucy, Happy, and Jasper. He didn't ask about Jasper having his mouth taped over was because the cat was likely running his mouth. And he knew that Natsu didn't want to go and that it was all his fault for coming here in the first place.

"Lucy got me up to speed with everything that's happened, and Natsu told me where Sam went off, Erza replied, not answering Gray's question. "I thought you were sent here to stop Natsu and these fools. Needless to say, I'm disappointed."

"Sam went back to the temple, right? Why?"

"That's something we'd all like to know." Erza glared at Natsu, who stopped struggling to break out and looked afraid. "I understand that Natsu was the one that brought everyone here, but I'll need to speak with Sam.

Okay, so Gray knew that Natsu was a dead man walking, and now Sam managed to piss her off too.

"If Sam went back to the temple, then my guess is that he's going to try and fight Lyon on his own," Lucy said.

"Okay, we're going to search for Sam, and then we're going back to the guild," Erza said in a tone of finality as she walked past Gray towards the exit of the hut.

"But we can't leave Skull Island just yet," Gray objected. "If Lucy filled you in, then you know exactly what the Iwi are going through right now."

Erza barely glanced at him. "And what would be your point?"

The Ice Wizard stood in place with an expression of disbelief.

"I came here solely to apprehend these fools for breaking the rules of the guild. I'm not interested in anything other than that."

He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Erza was either so angry that she didn't care about anything else, or the truth was that she really was cold-hearted. Gray knew that she wasn't. Erza was a very caring person, but that didn't excuse her from being so callous.

"So that's it then?" Erza and Gray turned to Ernest. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, glaring at the armored woman. "You've seen what's been going on. And you're saying everyone on this island just has to suffer because of the rules placed by your guild?"

Erza turned towards the young man with a glare. "You may not understand this, but your village's request was posted on the boards every guildhall. Your people would be better served by wizards who are cleared for S-Class. Everyone, except for me, is not qualified," she said evenly.

"Yeah?" Ernest walked to her and glared up at her. "Then where the fuck were you when you could have taken on the job?"

There was an extremely tense moment as everyone watched the two glared at one another. Natsu, Lucy, Jasper, and Happy knew that the Titan-Slayer was dead.

"Ernest is right," Gray said. "How can you be so heartless?"

That surprised everyone present in the room.

Erza whirled around, furious. "What did you just say?!"

Erza might have acted cold, but the truth was that she was far from heartless. She did everything in her power to make sure that innocents were spared from pain and misery. But for her, that was a second priority to her when it comes to her guild's safety. Her family's safety.

A red magic circle appeared in front of her hand, and a sword emerged. Grabbed the handle of it, she pointed the blade at Gray. Ernest quickly transformed into his Titan form and stood ready to attack her.

The three stood off as the others watched on helplessly.

"Say that again, I dare you," she challenged. "If you break the guild's rules, then you'll face the same consequences."

Gray flinched, but steadied himself. Ernest was going to break her sword, but to everyone's surprise, Gray was the one that grabbed the sword. He moved it done to his chest, right towards his guild mark.

"Wanna know something, Erza? Sam didn't want to come to Skull Island after discovering Natsu tricked him and the consequences of breaking the rules. I was sure he was going to kill this fire-brain idiot. But he didn't, and he wanted to come to this island, and do you know?"

The redhead continued to glare darkly at him, but was curious at her friend for a moment. Her interest, however, was piqued given that she knew Gray had both a point and believed it would somehow alter her current decision.

Furthermore, she was told by Lucy that Sam and Jasper didn't initially know they were breaking the rules. Lucy had informed her that much, but had left out the reason as to why he did end up going along with Natsu's idiotic plan. Surely he had a good reason, and Erza had refused to believe he didn't after getting to know him only a little bit.

But no matter what the Ice Wizard said to her, Erza was still furiously angry with what the group had done. She'll make sure to beat the shit out of Natsu and Jasper and then give Sam an earful. With that, she allowed her companion to continue.

"Enlighten me," she said.

"When he learned about what was going on, he immediately wanted to help. He didn't care about the reward, S-Class, rating up in the guild, or even being kicked out. All he wanted was to help these people. Sam knew that saving lives meant the rules had to be broken, and he was going to break them a thousand times over to do just that."

After hearing that, Erza's expression changed to one that expressed her deep thinking. She knew very well that this was something that the Titan-Slayer would say, and she honestly was expecting it. Then again, her anger's primary target was Natsu since he should have known better.

Sam has proven himself a noble person who had a noble reason for coming to Skull Island. However, she thought back to the rules of the guild. Perhaps, however, she could briefly overlook such things in this instance, given that very clearly they all seem to be doing this for the right reasons.

"And you know what, so would I," Gray declared, steel in his voice. "I can't walk away from what I know is right.

For what seemed like an eternity, neither Gray nor Erza broke eye contact. Finally, Erza lowered her sword.

Gray walked to the hut's door and opened it. "I'm seeing this through to the end...and you can't stop me," Gray proclaimed before he walked out.

After he was gone, Erza started trembling in anger, before leveling a glare at the bound Happy, Lucy, Jasper, and Natsu, causing them panic. Knowing full well that she was going to take her anger out on them.

"Please don't get mad at us!" Shrieked Lucy as all that came out of Jasper and Natsu's mouths were muffled screams. "We don't have any control over Gray!"

"He's not feeling like himself right now 'cause he lost a fight to his old friend!" Happy added desperately.

"Guys, she's not going to kill you," Ernest said, getting confused looks from the others.

Jasper raised an eyebrow, and his muffled voice asked how he knew that. And then, faster than anyone could blink, Erza swung her sword, slicing through the ropes that held them and the metal chain that held Natsu up.

After Natsu fell headfirst on the ground, Erza said, "These events are intolerable, but we'll deal with the immediate problem first; we're going after them!"

"ALRIGHT!" Natsu shouted, jumping out of the chains and with his big mouth uncovered.

Erza glared darkly at him. "This doesn't change anything for you, Natsu. You're going to face much more severe punishment out of everyone here."

"Y-Yes, ma'am..." Natsu then bolted out of the hut to get back to the temple.

"Dumbass," Jasper said.

Ernest looked at her with curiosity. "Why would you change your mind?" He asked, and she turned towards him.

"I want to apologize for my cold words about you and your home. If I ignore the fact that my comrades' intentions are in the right place, then I'm no better than the people who wish to destroy your home. But I, please ask that your people not reward us for the completion of this mission," Erza said, her scowl disappearing.

Ernest smirked and shrugged. "Hey, this was the village's request, not my. I'm just tagging along because Skull Island's my home."

"Ernest, was it?" Erza asked the young Titan-Slayer. "Can you take us to the Temple?"

"I can," Ernest said before scowling, "but we've got more problems to deal with now that the Skull Devil is loose on the island."

Meanwhile, at the temple, Lyon stared at his last remaining subordinate with a look of disappointment at a very sheepish looking Toby. He sat on a large stone throne with his arms crossed. "How pathetic. You're the only one still standing, Toby?"

The dog-man in question shifted nervously, sweating from his brow.

Still, the news that was just delivered to him did worry the man slightly. At the moment, he had lost both Sherry and Yuka, and on top of that, the Fairy Tail wizards were still alive. This posed a threat to his plans, but he maintained his composure as he sat on his throne.

"Those Fairy Tail wizards and Take-Over wizard who was with them...they're quite impressive," Lyon thought aloud.

"Hey, can we keep the whole 'shocking myself' thing a secret?" Toby asked hopefully, but his head hung in shame.

"This unfortunate turn of events could put the resurrection of Deliora in jeopardy."

This new but familiar voice brought Lyon's attention to a small, hunched man who wore red clothes, a gray cloak, and a red, horned tribal mask covering the upper half of his face. His mouth, the only visible part of his face, displayed a wide grin.

"Zalty, you're as stealthy as ever," Lyon said, raising an eyebrow to the man's sudden appearance. Zalty was an enigma to even Lyon. However, he had proven to be a valid source of information, and he's never shown to fear Lyon or his power in any way.

"If all goes as planned, the demon should awaken at some point tonight, but we have to keep an eye on those wizards," Zalty said with his usual wicked smirk. "If they were to interrupt the Moon Drip ceremony, then Deliora will forever remain entombed in ice."

"Are you that worried?" Lyon asked, amused. But then a frown spread across his face. "But this situation is getting out of hand. I should've just taken care of them myself."

"Salamander and Titania are very powerful, but there's also the recently joined member of their guild and one of the natives. I am given to understand that with their magic coming from the monster that their bodies bear host to, these Titan-Slayers are more powerful than any other wizard in that guild."

"As always, you seem remarkably well-informed," Lyon replied calmly. Leaning forward in his seat as he started to boaster. "However, I can't say that I'm worried. Those fools may be strong, but they're no match for me."

"I was hoping you'd say that, so it's very reassuring to hear. But still, allow me the honor of joining you in battle for old time's sake." Zalty offered eagerly.

"Hold up! You're a wizard?!" Toby exclaimed, shocked.

"Yes," Zalty answered. "It's been a while since I used it, but I've dabbled in a particular kind of Lost Magic."

Lyon considered the offer for a moment, reasoning that it was a safe bet since Zalty hadn't done anything to betray his cause. "Sure, we could use another wizard," Lyon said to the short man.

"Grrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkk..."

Sam's foghorn like roar cut the conversation short as it echoed all over the temple. Suddenly, the very temple itself started shaking violently. Rubble and debris fell from the walls and ceiling, as statues and pillars started crumbling and falling over throughout the room. It gave off the impression that some kind of seismic activity was the cause, but despite all of Skull Island's strangeness, it had never experienced such a thing in all the time they've been on the island.

"Is this an earthquake?" Toby asked worriedly.

"I don't think so," Lyon said. The shaking was coming and going in short bursts, not a long quake, and it seemed to be happening on only one side of the temple.

And then the temple started shaking without any explanation. But the temple was suddenly tilted on one side. Nearly causing the three men in the room to lost their balance and fall. They thought that it was all over, until…

KRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM

An Atomic Breath ripped its way through the floor, nearly burning them. Shortly thereafter, out of the hole jumped a certain silver-haired Titan-Slayer. Sam landed in the room on one knee, before looking up and glaring at the man calling himself the Cold Emperor.

"NO! NOT HIM!" Toby shouted.

Sam stood up to his full height and let out a mighty roar.

"SSSSSSSSSSKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKK!"

The roar shook the room and made the three men cover their ears from how loud it was. When the roar ended, Lyon leveled a hard glare at the Titan-Slayer in front of him.

"You bastard...What's the meaning of all this!?" He demanded, enraged.

"Take a look around you, asshole," Sam retorted with a grin. "I'm making sure the moonlight doesn't reach that demon."

"What the hell are…" Lyon gasped upon the sudden realization hit him.

"It appears that he's tilted the entire temple," Zalty said in an amused tone. "He must have destroyed half of the pillars supporting this temple, so that it tipped over on its side. That means moonlight won't reach Deliora."

"How dare you!" Lyon growled out, gritting his teeth as he began to fill with rage. "Who do you think you are?!"

"I'm a Titan-Slayer," Sam said with a cocky smirk. He powered an Atomic Titan's Claw and lunged at Lyon with super speed.

Lyon gasped in shock at the speed displayed by the young man, before Sam slashed him across the chest with his Atomic Titan's Claw. Sending him flying across the room.

Lyon was about to slam in the wall when the Ice Wizard's body began to crack like glass and then shatter.

Sam's eyes widened in shock, before landing on the ground and skidding across the floor. Coming to a stop a few feet away.

"Over here," Lyon's voice came from behind him. Spinning around, Sam's eyes widened when he saw Lyon standing there with his hand held out. "Ice-Make: Eagle!"

A flock of ice bird flew towards the Titan-Slayer.

"Atomic Titan's Tail Whiplash!" Sam's dorsal plates glowed, and with his tail covered in magical energy, swung the tail around. Shattering each of the birds into nothing but shards of ice with the stream of energy extending from the tail.

Lyon dodged the whipping magic attack by jumping into the air.

Seeing his chance, Sam turned back around, and his mouth filled with blue flames. "Atomic Breath!" A column of blue energy was fired across the room towards Lyon.

Just before the attack hit, Zalty held out a hand, and the floor beneath the Titan-Slayer suddenly grew brittle and turned to dust. Sam roared as he suddenly fell through the hole and plummeted through several floors.

"Very fortunate, Cold Emperor," the masked man remarked, "luck is on your side."

The same could not be said for Toby, who was hit with the Atomic Breath and slammed into the wall. "Can we keep the whole 'Toby got planted into the wall' thing a secret too?" He asked pitifully.

"What did you do?" Lyon snapped in an annoyed tone, suspicious after seeing Zalty's mysterious power.

"Whatever do you mean?" Zalty asked in feign innocently; his smirk still spread across his face.

"Don't play dumb with me," Lyon snapped. "Your magic had to have caused that hole in the floor."

Zalty chucked slightly. "Don't you have ever the watchful eye? Please allow me to explain my actions, sir. You're the only one strong enough to defeat Deliora, so you must remain safe until his resurrection.

Sam's roar could be heard from down under the many floors he done in. That's when the air around Lyon became dense with cold fog. "Are you suggesting that I could die from such magic?" He asked, as he clenched his fists.

With a twitch of his finger, and the entire room froze. The floor, walls, and ceiling were covered in a thick layer of ice. The only part of the room that wasn't frozen over was where the three wizards stood and the hole that Sam fell into.

Sam jumped back up out of the hole and glared at the Cold Emperor. He had heard him and was not impressed with Lyon's sense of superiority.

"Leave me," Lyon commanded his subordinates, glaring mainly at Zalty. "I can take care of myself. Once I finally defeated the demon, everyone will worship my name, Cold Emperor Lyon. I've worked too hard to let someone like you tarnish this day."

"You'll be nothing more than another dime-a-dozen petty dictator," Sam said to the man in front of him. "Why are you trying to fight something that's already dead? Why waste your life trying to thaw out Deliora when it died a long time ago?"

"I must rise above Ur's legacy," Lyon declared. Sam's eyes widened in shock when he heard the name of Gray's master. Lyon sent another wave of Ice Eagles at the Titan-Slayer. Sam's dorsal plates glowed, and he absorbed all the magic inside the birds, turning them into nothing more than ice sculptures of birds that bounced off or shattered on impact with Sam. "I will not rest until I've fulfilled my dream of surpassing her by slaying the demon she could not!"

Sam's eyes turned to a look of empathy when he realized something. "She was your master," he stated, momentarily powering down and holding off any attacks. "You and Gray were her students, weren't you?"

"Yes. I assumed that Gray told you of our connection then?" Lyon questioned the Titan-Slayer.

"No. I was able to piece it together after seeing Gray's reaction to seeing you and how similar your magics are to one another. You mentioning her name just confirmed my suspicions," Sam replied.

Lyon chuckled slightly. "Well, it still does you little good knowing such a thing," he said, amused.

"Then why would you go this far to try and surpass her? Why murder so many innocent people for something as stupid as your pride? Don't you care about your master?" Sam pressed.

"I won't stand here and be lectured by the likes of you! Someone incapable of understanding why I'm doing this. I cared for Ur very much, and now she's dead because of Gray!" Lyon snapped.

"What are you talking about?" Sam asked, confused.

Lyon scuffed, frowning at the memory of his master's death. "Of course that coward didn't tell you. You must already know that the Ice Shell took her life, right? Well, why did you think she used it? If Gray hadn't challenged Deliora to a fight, Ur wouldn't have had to sacrifice herself to seal that demon away!"

"Then you're a bigger fool than I believed possible!" Sam shouted, eyes glowing with rage. "I understand that you're angry, but what's the point in trying to prove you're better than her? All you're doing is hurting innocent people. I may not have had the honor of knowing Ur, but if she was will to make the sacrifice in the first place, then she would have wanted you to stop this madness. Freeing that monster is just going to make her sacrifice mean nothing!"

"How dare you!" Lyon shouted and sent forth a flurry of Ice Eagles directly towards the Titan-Slayer. Sam used a burst of his Atomic Breath to stop the attack.

"Since you don't seem to realize the error of your ways, I'm going to burn it into your memory," Sam growled, charging his dorsal plates for another attack.

"Are you fucking serious?!" Jasper exclaimed as he flew with Happy closely above the others. The two cats, Ernest, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Erza, have spent the better part of the day traveling upriver and running through Skull Island's jungles to get to the temple. Along the way, Gray had been telling them about Lyon and what his real goal was. "He seriously wants to break out that demon to fight it?"

"Why would he want to do that?" Ernest asked from the trees, jumping from branch to branch.

All of a sudden, Gray came to a stop and placed his hand on a tree. The others stared at him, wondering what was wrong or was going through his head.

"Even back when we were kids, Lyon's always dreamed of surpassing Ur's magic ability. But since she's gone and he can't challenge her directly, he's decided that it's up to him to kill Deliora 'cause it's the one thing that she couldn't do," Gray told the others.

"Well, yeah. I guess that'd be the only way to challenge someone who's dead," Lucy said in a quiet tone.

Natsu thought for a moment. "But what if he turned her into a zomb-OW!"

He was quickly hit over the head with a bat by Jasper.

"Listen, there's something- something I never got to tell him," Gray said. He turned to the others with a serious scowl on his face. "I kept it a secret. Ur made me promise to never let him know. But I have to."

They waited for his answer.

"Ur may not be with us, but she's still alive."

Ernest and the other Fairy Guild members gasped in shock. "What do you mean?" Erza asked, surprised by this revelation.

"It's been ten years," Gray said with a sigh. And he started to tell them about his past.

Ten years ago, Deliora attack Gray's hometown. Bring about a level of destruction that was unseen by the young man, even up till the present. An entire town wiped from the face of the earth in less than a day. Ur and Lyon went to the town to look for survivors.

They found Gray, barely clenching to life. He would be the only survivor of the attack.

Ur took him in after that day. He became her second student, hoping to save him from the darkness growing inside of him. Darkness that grew from his desire for revenge against Deliora for killing his family and destroying his town. He learned everything about Ice Maker magic from her, and had picked up his habit of stripping from Ur. Apparently, stripping in the snow helped him because one with the cold. But Gray was an impatient student. He wanted for her to teach him about powerful magic, even though the magic that Ur had taught him was as powerful as he made it out to be.

But then he heard the news about Deliora. The demon was in the northern continent, leaving a trail of destruction. That night, Gray left Ur and Lyon, proclaiming that he was done being her apprentice, and left to face the monster on his own.

He didn't even last a second against the giant monster. Deliora was going on another rampage when Gray challenged him and was quickly defeated. But at that the last second, Ur and Lyon came to the rescue. Lyon was defeated, and Ur was the last wizard left to fend off the demon.

Ur was no match for the demon, and she was using up all of her magic. So, she told Gray to take Lyon away from the city so she could concentrate on fighting. She's already lost one of her legs and had made an ice one just to fight. But that didn't matter to the teacher. She was going to fight to the last breath to protect her students.

But when Lyon heard this, something inside of him just snapped. Not believing that she would be defeated, but Ur told him that there would always be stronger than her. But Lyon didn't believe it. Why else would he have been training with her if she wasn't the strongest?

Unable to handle the truth, Lyon prepared to perform the Ice Shell spell, which he's read about in Ur's magic books. But if he actually read that book all the way through remained a mystery.

And so, Ur did the only thing she could, and frozen Lyon. Stopping him from casting the Ice Shell. When Gray asked about the spell, she revealed to him the truth about it. That the caster's body becomes the Ice Shell itself, and she knew that it was the only way to defeat the demon.

Ur then casted the spell on Deliora. A sacrifice she would have made a thousand times if it meant protecting her students.

In her final words, Ur asked Gray to promise her he'll tell Lyon she died. If he found out she'd been turned to ice, then her student would waste his entire life trying to find a way to undo the spell. Making her sacrifice meaningless. Ur wanted her two students to see the world and live fulfilled lives.

On that day, Ur freed Gray from his darkness. No Gray had to stop Lyon before he undoes all that their master has done for them.

"Uh…" Lucy said, tilting her head to the side as she looked at the crooked temple. The team had finally arrived at the temple, but everyone except Erza was confused by its state. "Hey, guys? Is it just me, or does that temple look a little...crooked right now?"

"What happened to it?" Happy asked, tilted his head too.

"Man, Sam must really be trashing the place inside!" Natsu exclaimed. "Let's go and join him!"

Erza grabbed his scarf before he could take off. "Don't just rush into things, Natsu," she scowled him.

"I don't know how he managed to pull it off, but he's the only one who'd be capable of bringing down that temple," Grey said with his arms crossed. "But I've got to admit; it's a pretty good idea."

"How come," Ernest asked, on Gray's back and grooming the Ice Wizard's hair.

"WILL YOU GET OFF!" Gray yelled, throwing the young Titan-Slayer away.

Jasper was floating in the air next to Happy as he started at the temple with his arms crossed. Grinning at Sam's work. "With the temple tilted out of shape that like, the asshole ain't got no way of getting the moonlight down to that monster," he explained to the others.

Ernest was standing back up when he caught the scent of something. He turned around towards the direction of the smell. His eyes glaring as he said, "We've got company!"

Suddenly, moon-shaped shurikens came flying out of the jungle towards them.

Jasper was about the Re-Construct a shield big enough to protect all of them when Erza suddenly punched him, Lucy, and Happy.

"Watch out!" She yelled, sending the three out of the way of the shurikens. The armored woman, Gray, and Ernest then dodged the projectiles. "Who's there!"

Lucy slammed back-first into a tree, while Happy was slammed headfirst into another tree. Jasper ended up hitting his head on Lucy's forehead, making them both cry out in pain. Bouching off her, the grey and white cat landed on the ground with a groan.

"Are you insane or just a total bitch!?" Jasper shouted after getting up. But then his eyes widened in shock.

"We've tracked you down, Fairy Tail!" Said one of the many cloaked wizards that stood in front of them. They were arms with more crescent moon shaped weapons. "We wouldn't allow you to interfere!"

"Not these guys again," Gray growled in anger.

"Lyon's minions?" Erza asked, glaring at the cultish wizards.

"Yeah," Ernest said, cracking his ape-like knuckles. "They're the guys that have been performing the ritual."

"They're all around us!" Lucy shouted, facing another group of wizards with Happy and Jasper. The latter cat summoning two laser guns to fight them off.

Suddenly the ground started to rumble. The Fairy Tail wizards and the evil wizards heard the sound of giant steps coming towards them. Looking up, Ernest saw birds and Leafwings flying away from the thing that was coming towards them. Realizing what it was, Ernest started to become nervous.

"The Big One's here," he whispered.

The giant Skull Devil charging at the humans from the jungles of Skull Island. Letting out a roar when it spotted them. The cult wizards looked on in fear as the giant Skullcrawler came at them.

"That's a giant lizard!" Natsu screamed with white eyes and his jaw hanging in shock.

"Aye!"

"We've got to take that thing down!" Ernest exclaimed, glaring at the Skull Devil.

"I can handle the wizards myself," Erza declared, summoning forth a sword. "Natsu, assist Ernest in taking that monster down."

"Are you sure," Gray asked the redhead.

"I'll take care of them," Erza said, facing the wizards in front of her. Her eyes burning with determination. "You go and settle things with Lyon."

Gray stared at her for a moment in surprise. He nodded and turned to Lucy and the cats. He was going to tell them to come with him into the temple when the blonde girl pulled out her whip.

"We'll fight her!" She proclaimed with a smirk. Confident and determined to help her guildmate. "You just go and do what you've gotta do."

"Hell yeah! Let's party!" Jasper shouted with a big grin.

"Aye!" Happy said, holding a dead fish like a weapon.

"Thanks, you guys," Gray said before turning and started running towards the temple.

With Gray running off to face his former rival, Ernest turned back to the Skull Devil as it roared and got even closer to them. He turned to Natsu and grinned a big, toothy smile. "Are you ready for this?" he asked.

"You know it! I'm all fired up now!" Natsu shouted, fire shooting out from the bottom of his feet. The Dragon-Slayer propelled himself upwards like a rocket and headed straight for the Skull Devil.

Ernest pounded on his chest and let out a roar as he used his magic to jump high and fast into the air. He roared again in midair he and Natsu headed straight for the Skull Devil.

Sam had to admit, Lyon was tougher than he originally thought. Despite going up against a Titan-Slayer, Lyon was doing an admirable job of fending off his opponent. Matching Sam move-for-move. But all Sam had to do was wait while keeping the pressure on Lyon. Sooner or later, the ice wizard was going to make a mistake or run out of energy. The Titan-Slayer had more energy to spare.

The white-haired Titan-Slayer dodged another series of ice spikes by jumping into the air. In the air, he charged his dorsal plates with magic again.

"Atomic Breath!" Sam fired another beam of his father's signature move at Lyon. The Cold Emperor quickly leaped out of the Atomic Breath's path. When it hit the floor, it created an explosion and covered the room in black smoke.

Lyon coughed after breathing in the smoke before looking around for any sign of the Titan-Slayer.

"Atomic Titan's Stomp!" Sam's atomic flaming monstrous foot slammed into Lyon's back, sending him crashing into the ground. But just like before, Lyon's body burst into pieces of ice.

Lyon landed in front of Sam, glaring at him. The Fairy Tail wizard was much better than he thought.

"This doesn't have to go on forever, Lyon. Do us all a favor and surrender," Sam demanded, his magic depleting from his foot.

"I'd never give you that satisfaction," Lyon calmly replied.

Sam closed his eyes and let out a sigh. When he opened them again, his dorsal plates glowed brightly. "Your master wouldn't have wanted this," he said, trying one more time to reason with the ice wizard. "Stand down now, or I will destroy you."

"Is that right?" A cold mist surrounded Lyon's body as he looked at the Titan-Slayer in annoyance. "I've just about had enough of you."

Before either mage could make a move, they were caught off guard when the wall next to them began to crack. The wall was then completely obliterated a second later, revealing Gray. He looked up as determined as ever and glared at Ur's former 'star' student.

"Gray?" Sam asked, surprised to see that his friend was about to make it all the way to the temple from the Iwi village. "Where are the others? Are they okay?"

"They're outside fighting the robed goons, and that really big Skullcrawler Ernest was talking about. Oh, and I should mention that Erza's here, and she's pretty pissed at you," Gray told the Titan-Slayer.

"Great," Sam murmured. This quest just keeps getting better and better by the minute. Still, the fact that Gray's here means that Erza at least doesn't intend on dragging them all back until they're done with the job.

"Now, leave him to me," Gray said to Sam, still glaring at his former fellow student. "It's time that we settle this once and for all."

"Are you sure?" Sam asked. "He kicked your ass last time."

"And it won't happen again," Gray countered confidently. Not taking his eyes off Lyon as he moved to stand in front of Sam. "I'm ready to end this now."

"You seem awfully confident," Lyon said, returning Gray's glare.

The raven-haired wizard was silent for a minute. "You were right, Lyon. I'm the one who's to blame for our master's death. But you're no better. You've threatened my comrades, brought harm to the Iwi, and now you're trying to what Ur gave her life to create. It's time we accept our punishment- together."

Gray crossed his arms, making an 'X' sign. His right arm was above the left arm with his right palm facing down and his left palm facing up. Sam was confused by the stance, but Lyon looked terrified.

"That stance! Not the Ice Shell?!"

Sam's eyes widened in shock. He knew that Ur used that same Ice-Make spell to seal Deliora away. But in the end, it killed her. Was Gray going to do the same thing?

"Gray, what are you doing?!" He shouted at the raven-haired wizard.

"Are you insane? You wouldn't dare!" Lyon shouted, as he took a fearful step back.

"If you want to live, change the villagers back to their human forms. And then leave Skull Island and never return." Gray ordered, narrowing his eyes at Lyon. Under his feet, an icy-blue magic circle appeared under Gray's feet. "If you'll agree to that, I'll stop. Otherwise, this is the end."

Lyon's confident smirk returned to his lips. "Is that so? Well, I don't believe a word of it. You're bluffing!"

Before Lyon could continue, a massive wave of ice magic exploded from the magic circle. Sam shielded his face from the vortex of magic that was blowing into him. He wasn't bluffing at all. Sam could sense the magic coming from Gray, and it was much more powerful than anything he's seen from the Ice-Make Wizard.

"No, I'm not," Gray replied in a deadly serious tone.

"You'll die!" Lyon exclaimed, as he held out his hand and conjured a magic circle. But before he could cast a spell, another burst of ice magic pulsed off Gray's body. The magical wave of energy blew Lyon away.

The large claws on Sam's Titan feet dug into the floor as he tried to fight against the winds. "Gray! Don't do it!" He yelled.

"All these years, I've lied to myself. I didn't wanna admit that Ur died because of me." Gray said, as his body started to freeze over in preparation for his attack. "But she did! And it's time I took responsibility. So I will here and now. I'm not afraid to die! If that's what it takes!"

"Stop this now!" Lyon exclaimed, practically begging as he stood back onto his feet.

"What's it gonna be, Lyon? Are we gonna die, or are we gonna live? It's up to you!" Gray shouted over the raging vortex of ice magic.

"You wouldn't," Lyon said with a maniacal smirk spreading across his face. "You're not brave enough to give you life. You're nothing but a coward!"

"...Just watch me."

'Sam, Natsu, all my friends in Fairy Tail...the rest is up to you. I don't wanna leave you, but my time is up.'

"ICED SH-"

BASH!

"Stop!" Gray's spell was interrupted when Sam's tail swung around into his head. Knocking Gray to the floor, stunned, giving Sam time to hold him down with his hand on the back of Gray's neck. Lyon's eyes widened; his heart was beating erratically in his chest.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Gray demanded, struggling to get out of Sam's hold on him. But the Titan-Slayer just applied more pressure on him.

"What about you, Gray?!" Sam shout back, glaring at Gray's right eye. The one that was facing up. "What the fuck is going on inside that head of yours to make you think you can come in here and pull a stunt like that?!"

"I've got a score to score with this guy, and I'm ready to die if that's what I gotta do!" Gray protested.

Gray winced when Sam turned him over on his back and slammed his hand on his chest. Right over where his guild mark was.

"I might be from the sea, so you're going to have to explain it to me, Gray," Sam said in a cold tone. His eyes were full of rage as he glared at Gray. "How is killing yourself 'settling the score?' In my eyes, all you're doing is ending your life and leaving everyone you loved to clean up the mess. You are not a coward, Gray! You're a wizard of Fairy Tail!"

Gray stared up at the Titan-Slayer, and his body slumped. The more he thought about it, the more the realization hit him. Gray really had been using the Iced Shell as an excuse. An excuse to continue running away from the guilt that he felt for what happened to Ur. But now, he felt worse than ever before when he realized that doing the Iced Shell would have meant abandoning his friends.

Before Gray could say anything, the temple began to shake a great deal once.

"Oh, what now?" asked an exasperated Sam, as he lets go of Gray.

"RRRRRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Ernest roared as he jumped into the air and fell towards the Skull Devil with a giant boulder raised over his head. The young Titan-Slayer slammed the rock into the head of the Skullcrawler, sending it's crashing down onto the jungle floor with a shriek.

The monster got back up as Ernest landed on a nearby tree. It lunged at him, but Ernest got out of the way just in time to dodge its massive jaws. But the Skull Devil swatted him with its tail as it passed him, sending him flying.

Natsu then came flying towards the head of the monster with his right fist covered in fire. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

The Dragon-Slayer punched the side of the Skull Devil's head, causing massive amounts of damage and making it shriek in pain. As it toppled over, the ground started to rumble and shake. The wizards that were loyal to Lyon were startled by this, as they, too, had no idea what was going on.

"What's that sound?" Erza asked, looking around to find the source of the shaking.

Lucy turned back to the temple and gasped in shock, and her eyes widened with fear. "No way!"

The temple was no longer on its side. It was now back to its original position.

"How is this even possible," Sam whispered in astonishment. What could have essentially reversed the tilt that he had brought onto the temple? Smelling the air, he couldn't pick up the scent of anything massive, but he did detect some sort of magic. But it wasn't any kind of magic that he's sensed before.

"This is bad," Gray said, getting back up as he stared at the ceiling. The moon's almost out. "Now the moon's gonna shine on Deliora!"

"Pardon the interruption," said Zalty, entering the room through the hole Gray had made.

"I should have known," Lyon said calmly. "I take it you did all this?"

"Indeed I did, sir. The moon will be out soon, so I thought I'd take the liberty of straightening the temple for you," Zalty replied.

"That weirdo fixed it himself?" Gray asked in shock.

"Which means that I'll have to break it again," Sam growled in frustration. Glaring at Zalty, he called out the masked man. "Alight, masked man, answer me this! How was it that you fixed the temple?"

Zalty looked at Sam in surprise, as if noticing him for the first time. But then, to Sam's annoyance, and slight confusion, the short wizard just started laughing rather heavily. Making the Titan-Slayer glow in anger.

"Now that everything else is in order, I suppose I should commence the moon drip ceremony," Zalty stated before running out of the ice-covered room.

"I'll go after him," Sam said before walking towards the hole. But before he left, the Titan-Slayer turned around and pointed at Gray. "You stay here and take care of the Cold Emperor."

Gray looked surprised at him. After he was just about to kill himself, Sam was suddenly trusting him to beat Lyon?

"Win not just for yourself, but of all of Fairy Tail!"

Sam then took off after Zalty. It was all up to Gray now to get through to Lyon.

Ernest got back up after he was smacked away by the Skull Devil. He growled before rushing towards the monster. With the others having defeated the enemy wizards, they were helping Natsu as best as they could in killing the giant.

Just like how Sam would cover his claws in the Ethernano energy his body produced to make his Atomic Titan's Claw attack, Ernest did the same. Clenching his right hand into a fist, orange flaming magic covered his fist, forming a giant fist.

The Skull Devil maneuvered and dodged Erza's swords as the redhead launched them at the monster. It's back had some weapons stabbed into it from Titania, and some burn marks from Natsu's fire. But it still wasn't going down.

"What will it take to bring you done, monster," Erza growled in anger, wearing her Heaven's Wheel Armor. Suddenly Ernest was flying past her after jumping from the ground.

Before the Skull Devil could turn to face him, Ernest cocked his fist back.

"Ape Titan's Royal Punch!" Ernest delivered the powerful punch into the chin of the Skullcrawler, sending the beast flying back before it slammed into the ground.

"HOLY COW, THAT WAS COOL!" Natsu and Jasper yelled together in shock. They were standing with Lucy and Happy, and they, too, were astonished by the Titan-Slayer's display of power.

Ernest landed on the ground with a pant, before Erza came down next to him. She, too, was amazed by his super strength. "Are all Titan-Slayers that powerful?"

"Well, according to Kong, it depends on the Titan that you have inside of you," Ernest said with a smile as the others ran over to join them. Hearing rubbing, Lucy looked up and saw the Skull Devil getting back up. It roared in anger before charging at them.

"It's coming back!" She screamed, pointing at it.

"Can't you do that awesome eye-laser thing you did before?" Ernest asked.

"I don't even know how I was about to do that!" Lucy exclaimed.

"Then we'll have to continue to kick its ass!" Natsu proclaimed with a big grin, igniting his fists with fire.

"Get back here!" Sam shouted as he ran after Zalty. For the last minute or two, the Titan-Slayer has been trying to catch the odd-looking wizard.

Suddenly the wizard finally came to a stop and pointed his hand at the ceiling. A magic circle formed over him, and a chunk of the ceiling above Sam started to come loose and fall right at him.

Sam stopped and looked up to see it coming down at him. So he quickly destroyed it with a blue flaming claw strike. Destroying it into smaller pieces.

Zalty waved his hand, and to the Titan-Slayer's surprise, the chunk of ceiling lifted back to where it was. Repairing itself back to how it was before with no signs that there was any damage.

"That's how I fixed the temple," Zalty explained.

Sam watched the ceiling fix itself before turning back to Zalty. "What kind of magic was that?"

"And extremely rare magic. Rare enough for it is considered one of the Lost Magics," Zalty explained to the Titan-Slayer. "A type of magic so powerful and dangerous than it has been lost to history. Your Titan-Slayer magic is another example of Lost Magic."

Sam glared at the man. Zalty laughed and then vanished again, much to the young man's frustration. He scanned around the room with a slight growl. However, there was something else to this person. Because of the island's effect on his senses, he couldn't tell. But he does know that he knows the scent from somewhere.

This just made him all the more determined to unmask Zalty.

Natsu rocketed himself towards the Skull Devil again and tried to punch it, but the Skullcrawler reacted quickly and swatted him away.

"Natsu!" Lucy screamed.

"Hang on; I've got an idea!" Ernest said before rushing towards the monster.

"Wait!" Erza shouted before taking to the air. She attacked the Skull Devil with slashes across its arms and chest. Dealing damage to the monster, but not enough to bring it down.

As he ran towards the monster, Ernest watched the jaws of the Skullcrawler. He wasn't as powerful as Sam, given their age, but he was still highly intelligent to think of a strategy for taking down the monster. That, and his Ape Titan magic gave him incredible strength.

"HEY! BIG AND UGLY!" He yelled at the Skull Devil.

The monster turned towards the young boy. Sensing the spirit of Kong inside of him, the Skullcrawler roared in anger and shot its tongue at him. Ernest dodged the tongue and grabbed it. The Skull Devil was shocked by this, but it started pulling him back towards its mouth. The Fairy Tail members gasped in shock and terror. But Ernest wasn't scared at all. In fact, he planned it. As the tongue pulled him in, Ernest charged up another Ape Titan's Royal Punch.

In a second, Ernest was about to be eaten. He was inside the jaws of the Skull Devil as just as it was about to close its mouth, Ernest looked upwards at the roof of the monster's jaws. Right where the brain was between the eyes.

"Ape Titan's Royal Punch!"

Ernest's magic-powered fist launched forward and struck the roof of the Skull Devil's mouth. The results took everyone by surprise.

The upper jaw and upper part of the head exploded everywhere into bits and chunks of bloody pieces. Ernest was lying on the lower jaw of the body, covered in blood and slime. Panting with his eyes widened in amazement at his own power. Letting go of the tongue, Ernest quickly got up and jumped off.

The Titan-Slayer of King Kong walked away from the Skull Devil's still-standing corpse, before it finally toppled over and crashed onto the ground. He walked towards the Fairy Tail wizards, who were all staring at him in shock and awe.

"Okay, we're done here," he said, walking past them towards the temple. "Let's go stop this demon."

"No, wait!" shouted a woman being supported up by a young man. They were both from the same group of wizards that were trying to stop them. The two stepped in front of the Titan-Slayer, before the older woman pointed at him. "We won't let you interfere with the Cold Emperor."

Ernest growled in anger and shouted at the two, "And I wouldn't let you continue harming my home!"

"Wait." Erza stopped him when he was going to attack by placing a hand on his shoulder. She was staring at something that the two in front of them had in common. "Those headpieces. You people are from the city of Bargo."

Now she was starting to understand.

"And you want revenge."

Done under the temple in Deliora's chamber, Zalty was standing before the frozen demon. Grinning widely as the purple energy poured down from the ceiling as a sign that the Moon Drip had continued. "At long last," he whispered, standing atop a nearby rock formation. "It's time."

Then the sound of large feet running towards him made the man turn around.

Sam entered the chamber and stopped when he felt his feet stepping in something wet. Looking down, he gasped when he saw the floor was flooded with a large amount of water. This was a bad sign. Deliora's body was about to be completely freed from the ice. And when it does, then it was going to be resurrected.

"Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise," Zalty said, making the Titan-Slayer turn towards him. "Tell me, how did you manage to find me?"

"I have an incredible sense of smell," Sam replied, tapping his nose. "With it, I'm also able to tell that you're not really a man. You're a woman."

Zalty at the Titan-Slayer for a moment before her grin returned. "Well, you're much smarter than you appear to be, Sam Serizawa."

"So you know my name, huh?" Sam asked, crossing his arms. "Funny, when I sense you, you seem familiar, but I'm still having a hard time figuring it out. Why don't you tell me who you are and take off the mask."

Zalty laughed it off. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I have other things to do, son of Godzilla," he said, making Sam's eyes widen. How did he know he was Godzilla's son? "Like reviving Deliora."

"That's going to happen. You know that, right?" Sam said with a confident grin.

"Oh, and why is that?" The woman in disguise asked with mock-concern.

"Because Gray is going to defeat your Cold Emperor, and I'm going to beat you!" Sam proclaimed with determination in his voice. His dorsal plates glowed brightly.

"We'll just see about that," Zalty said in an almost-serious tone and pointed at Deliora.

Sam looked, and to his shock, his eyes widened when he saw purple light hitting Deliora from the ceiling. "The light? Someone's performing the ceremony!?" He exclaimed. Upon the temple, Tboy was chanting and bowing as he alone performed the Moon Drip ritual.

"Only one person, which means the Moon Drip isn't terribly powerful right now," explained the mysterious woman disguised as a man. "However, that's hardly a concern since we've already gathered plenty of moonlight. We just need to give it a little nudge to finish the job. Like this!"

Sure enough, a huge chunk of the iceberg began to crack and shatter. Sam's eyes widened terror at this. "This was really bad. I've gotta stop that guy!"

Sam turned around and started running for the exit. But Zalty wasn't having any of it. She used her magic once again to send a chunk of the ceiling falling at him. Sensing the danger, Sam had just enough time to dodge it barely. Landing in a crouching pose, he looked back at Zalty.

"Sorry, but you're not going anywhere, Titan-Slayer," Zalty said with a sadistic smile. "I guess chasing me was a mistake. Better luck next time, eh?"

Sam looked at the melting ice and growled. The demon was melting rather quickly, but he couldn't stop the ritual with the woman stopping him.

Zalty laughed at the Titan-Slayer before a vibrating sound caught her attention. She got out of the way just in time to dodge an Atomic Breath. She landed on another rock. "Are you sure you want to do that?" Zalty asked. "You might melt the ice faster."

Sam glared at her. "So that's why you came down here, right? To lure me into a trap?"

"Your Titan magic was potent enough to destroy the Lullaby flute. It stands to reason that if this is the case, then perhaps you are capable of breaking the Iced Shell with such a power," Zalty explained with her smirk increasing. "And you wouldn't want that to happen, would you?"

Sam jumped at her. Zalty jumped out of the way, and the Titan-Slayer's foot slammed into the rock. Breaking it apart. "I'm still capable of taking you done without using my Atomic Breath. All I've got to do is take care of you as quickly as possible, and then stop the ceremony."

However, behind the combatants, the frozen body of Deliora began to shake. Causing the temple to tremble.

Suddenly, a deafening, high-pitched, low growling roar came from the Iced Shell and rang out throughout the temple. Sam grunted in pain as he covered his ears. Trying to block out the noise. Turning towards the Iced Shell, Sam watched as it started to crack and break apart more and more. Evil red eyes glowed from the monster's sockets.

And then the ice that encased the Demon of Destruction completely broke apart.

"Yes, it's free!" Zalty shouted exuberantly.

The monster let out another thunderous roar. After 10 years, it was finally free. It was revived. All around Skull Island, the roar was heard. Even the most fearsome of animals templed at the noise.

But as Sam looked at it, he noticed the light was still coming down from the ceiling. He started to wonder. If the demon was back, then why was the Moon Drip still coming down? Maybe that wasn't the case. What if Deliora wasn't completely revived? That means he still has a chance to stop it. If Ernest and the others heard the roar, then they could take care of the ritual. And that means he can stop Zalty and Deliora from where he was at.

"Alright, lady. I've wasted my time dealing with you," he said, as his dorsal plates started glowing again. He couldn't hold back now. "I'm taking you down-"

Before he could attack, Sam had to duck his head to dodge a crystal ball that was shot towards him. It missed his head before it bounced off the wall of the cave and came right back at him. Sam jumped back, dodging again. The crystal ball returned to the woman in disguise.

"Ready when you are," Zalty said, grinning. She waved her arm, and the crystal orb shot towards Sam.

The Titan-Slayer didn't dodge, but caught the crystal orb single-handedly. Behind the mask, the woman's eyes widened when she saw the Titan-Slayer caught it. Then he crushed it in his bare hands.

"Anything else you've got to throw at me?" He questioned her.

"My, my, Sam. You just continue to impress me," Zalty said with her smirk returning. She flicked her wrist, and the sphere returned to its former undestroyed form at Sam's feet.

It shot up at him, but Sam leaned his head back just in time to keep it from hitting his chin.

"What the hell?" He wondered.

It moved towards him again, about to slam into his stomach. But Sam picked up his right leg, and Atomic Titan's Stomped the orb down on the ground. Shattering it to pieces under his heel. However, the woman waved her hand, and the orb reformed and returned to her. Good as new, much to Sam's frustration.

"How the hell can you do that?" Sam demanded.

"I have the ability to control an object's time. Meaning I can take the crystal back in time to before it was broken," Zalty explained.

Sam's eyes widened as he looked confused. "What kind of magic can do that?"

"I practice one of the Lost Magics called the Arc of Time. It's extremely rare and quite powerful." The woman under the mask said. She then smirked. "Would you like to see what happens when I throw this crystal ball into the future?"

The ball suddenly disappeared from the woman's hand. Sam's ears then picked up the sound of a whoosh. The ball was coming for him from behind. Coating his tail in magic, he swung his tail and destroyed the crystal orb.

But the orb reformed midair, striking Sam in the side. The Titan-Slayer roared in pain as the Orb began to fly around him. When it came another strike, Sam tried to punch the sphere, but it stopped right in front of his fist.

"It just stopped?" Sam asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes. I also have the ability to freeze an object in time," the woman explained, as the Titan-Slayer stared at his reflection in the crystal ball.

"I must admit I'm impressed, but judging by how you're not trying to stop me in time, I'm guessing it doesn't work on people, right?" Sam observed, earning a chunk from Zalty.

"100%, Sam," she said with a smirk. Her sphere returned to her side. "It's powerless on living things. Since Ur turned herself into the ice that encases Deliora, I cannot simply turn back the time on that ice to its pre-frozen state. That's why we're using Moon Drip."

"That explains that, but there's something that's been bugging me. Why are you guys doing this? You've put a lot of time and effort trying to revive the demon," Sam said, pointing to Deliora, who was trying to break out of the ice that was trapping its feet. "But what do you all get if Lyon kills this thing?"

"I can't say. I've only recently joined them, so I don't know enough to speak on the other's behalf."

"Then what about you? Why are you doing all of this?" Sam asked, getting into a fighting stance.

"You certainly know how to get straight to the point," Zalty said before laughing. "The Cold Emperor Lyon is an arrogant twit. He doesn't stand a chance against Deliora."

"Jeez, I never would have guessed," Sam sarcastically said. "But if he can't kill it, Deliora is going to destroy everything in his path. That is unless you've got something that'll kill it."

"Don't be ridiculous," the woman in disguise said, looking up at Deliora. "I want to control the demon."

Sam's orange eyes widened in shock, before returning to glare at Zalty.

"You see, there are spells that give the caster power over immortal monsters like this one here. With a single spell, I'd become the most powerful wizard in the world. All because I'd have a demon at my beck and call."

"You really believe that a demon like this is going to make you powerful? Please…" Sam began, before igniting his body in a neon blue, flaming aura. His orange eyes glowing brightly for a moment as he powered up. "The power of that you want is nothing compared to the power of the Titans!"

"If you let your cockiness get the best of you, you will fall exactly like the ceiling above you!" Zalty exclaimed, raising her hand to the ceiling and conjuring a spell circle. The ceiling above the Titan-Slayer started to collapse towards the ground.

"Whoever you are, lady, you and your buddies have upset the balance of nature on Skull Island!" Sam roared, baring his fangs out as he snarled. "And I'm not going to let you continue no more!"

"You don't seriously believe you can stop my Arc of Time when you can't even use Godzilla's full power, do you?!" the woman boasted, as a volley of debris shot towards Sam.

"I've taken down Lullaby, didn't I?" Sam asked with a grin. He jumped off the rock he was on, rocking towards the woman. Zalty sent what looked like over ten crystal balls at Sam, but the Titan-Slayer launched a burst of his Atomic Breath. Creating a massive explosion.

When the fire and smoke cleared, the woman was surprised to see that Sam was gone. Zalty began to look around the room for him.

She then heard the sound of Sam's dorsal plates preparing another attack. Looking up, Zalty saw he was up above her. He took in a deep breath, puffing out his cheeks as blue light shined through the gaps between his teeth. "Atomic Breath!"

Zalty could only gasp as the column of blue power connected with her stomach, launching the time magic use backwards and crashing into a nearby series of rock formations. The ground and there was a large explosion from the Atomic Breath.

Afterwards, Sam landed in the water and sighed with a grin. "One way or another, I'll figure out who you really are."

On top of the temple, Erza raced forward and quickly took out Toby. The dogman fell to the ground in pain as the Moon Drip started to lose its power.

"Alright!" Natsu and Ernest cheered together with their fists up.

"Awesome! The Moon Drip should stop any minute now," Lucy cheered. And just like that, the spell ceased.

"Too late! It's over." Toby's head popped up with an angry look. "The ceremony's already been completed!"

The silence under the temple was broken when a moment later, Deliora let out a loud roar. It shook off the last of the ice that had entrapped it for ten years and took a step forward. Sam stood defiantly before the released demon. Clenching his fist as he stared Deliora down. But there was something else that stuck out to him.

Deliora was revived, but Sam couldn't sense anything from the demon. There wasn't a single tracer of life or magic from it. Was it dead? No, it was still moving and roaring.

This was the scene that Grey walked in on when he entered Deliora's chamber. Walking closer to the Titan-Slayer, the Ice Wizard was surprised to feel himself being knee-deep in water. Looking down at the water that had flooded the chamber's floor, Gray reached down and scooped up a handful of water.

"Ur…" Gray whispered, letting the water run past his fingers.

"Gray? When did you get here?" Looking up, Gray saw Sam had turned around to face him. The white-haired boy looked at his friend with a look of determination. "There's only one thing we can do now. We've got to take that thing down!"

He then noticed something behind Gray, and when he looked over the dark-haired wizard, his eyes widened.

"Stay back…" said Lyon in a weak voice.

Gray turned around to see the Cold Emperor, beaten and battered from his fight with Gray, crawling towards the monster. The second Ice Mage had a crazed look on his face, and an insane smile spread across it.

"Neither one...of you are...strong enough...But I am...I will defeat it…" Lyon said as he continued to inch forward towards Deliora.

"You can't even get to your own feet," Sam said. "How are you going to fight when you're on the ground?"

"S-Silence!" Lyon shouted. "I'm going to suppress Ur...finally."

The monster let out another roar, making everyone in the chamber flinch.

"I've waited so...long for this moment..." With an effort that surprised Sam, the Cold Emperor hauled himself up to his feet. Barely able to stabilize the weight of his own body under his leg. "She was strong...but still not strong enough to kill that demon...I'm going to do…the one thing...Ur never could...Finally...My dream will be fulfilled!"

Gray didn't allow him to try and take a step towards the demon. He knocked out Lyon with a single blow to the back of the neck.

With a low groan, Lyon collapsed to the ground.

"You've caused enough trouble," Gray said, before walking past him and stepping into the pool of water. "I'll clean up the mess you've made."

He crossed his arms once again, getting into the stance to perform a specific spell.

"Iced Shell!"

Just like before, ice magic began to swirl around Gray fiercely. At this, Ur's other former student went wide-eyed. Becoming both concerned and surprised.

"Don't do it, Gray! Do you have any idea how long it took to melt that ice?! Sealing it again isn't going to stop me! I will not rest until I've finally defeated Deliora!" Lyon shouted over the raging ice winds as Gray continued to build up his magical energy.

"I can't worry about the future! I have to do this to keep it from killing us all right now!"

He was suddenly swept off his feet by Sam's tail. Splashing into the water as the ice magic surrounding him began to die down. Gray quickly sat up and looked up with wide eyes.

"I didn't let you cast that spell before, and I'm not going to let you do it again," Sam said, standing in front of Gray. "I'll take care of this."

"You can't beat it! It's too powerful!"

Once again, his plates started to glow. But now, he was going to charge a full-powered Atomic Breath. "Listen to me, you idiot. Deliora's dead!" Sam shouted, glaring at the monster.

"W-What?" Gray uttered in total surprise. His eyes then widened when Deliora reared its arm back. "LOOK OUT!"

VVVVVVVVWWWWWWUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM

Sam's smaller spines on his tail started glowing intense blue, glowing light. Going up the larger Dorsal Plates. Sam's eyes were now glowing blue too.

VVVVVVVVWWWWWWUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM

The humming sound returned, this time going louder and faster. The demon's fist flew forward.

VVVVVVVVWWWWWWUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM

Wisps of light blue flames came out of Sam's mouth, as his dorsal plates shined brighter. Sam sucked in his breath and-

"ATOMIC BREATH!"

KRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM

The Titan-Slayer unleashed the massive beam of blue, flaming, magical energy from his mouth at Deliora. When the attack made contact with the center of its chest, right where the heart would be, the Atomic Breath pieces right through the body of the deceased demon and hits the wall behind it, creating an explosion.

Then, before their very eyes, Deliora's body started to crumble into dust. Cracks spiderwebbed all over the demon, before it started to break apart.

"What? No way..." Lyon uttered in disbelief. "But that...can't be!"

Deliora's head then came off and landed in front of Sam. Splashing him with a big wave, but the Titan-Slayer withstood it. The rest of the monster's body fell apart into the pool. The water of that pool started to drain out of the temple into the ocean Skull Island's rivers.

The reality of what Sam said finally hit Lyon, and he clenched his fist in rage. He pressed his head against the ground, as he fought back the tears. His dream was dead. There's no hope now. He will never surpass Ur.

Gray watched the spectacle in awe until the body had completely turned to dust. He then turned to Sam. "Sam...how did you know?"

"Because I couldn't sense any magic coming from it, nor any signs of life," Sam said, turning to Gray. "All life on this planet has magic in it, Gray. Even the smallest creatures. At first, I could sense it. But when it was freed from the ice, it was like there was nothing left inside it. And then I realized that the scent I picked up was coming…"

He reached down and scooped up some water. Sam held it up and showed it to Gray.

"Was this."

"But...Ur's body because the Iced Shell," Gray said, still confused.

"True, but then I realized that what I was sensing was nothing more than that last bit of Deliora's life-force. When it was freed, there was nothing left inside of it."

Gray's eyes widened in shock, as he started to understand.

"Your master really was an amazing person, Gray," Sam said with a friendly grin, placing his hand on the Ice-Make Wizards shoulder. "Ur didn't just deal Deliora away. For the past ten years, she's been killing it over time. Draining it's life away until it was nothing more than a hollow shell."

"I've freed you from the darkness, Gray. I sealed it away forever."

Unable to hold back the tears from streaming down his cheeks, Gray remembered those words from his master. Realizing that the nightmare was finally over. She's saved his life again.

"Thank you, Ur," he sobbed.

Sam walked away from Gray and looked down at the water. The water that was melted from the ice that Ur's body turned into. It will flow into Sam's old home, the sea, and into the rivers of Skull Island. Even though she's not physically with them, Gray said she was still alive. And Sam would be more than glad to believe that. Now one with the sea, Ur could watch over her beloved students forever. The Titan-Slayer could almost hear her asking Gray and Lyon to stop fighting.

Sam threw his head back and roared in triumph. The battle for Skull Island was over, and Fairy Tails has won.

"SSSSSSSSSSKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKK!"

Godzilla will Return!

AN:

First off, I'd like to say thank you to everyone for your condolences. I really appreciated it, and I'm hoping that everyone reading this is in good health and will continue to be.

And with that, we've finally concluded this chapter. We've got to see some of Ernest's power fighting the Skull Devil, Sam fighting against Lyon and Zalty, and then destroying Deliora. Personally, I can't wait for Godzilla vs. Kong next year to finally bring the two juggernauts back for one more match, and I'm hoping that the Monsterverse can give Kong some kind of special power to give him a chance of fighting Godzilla.

All of Ernest's attacks are kind of like strength enhancing abilities that makes him hit hard. It isn't all too far from Kong's abilities in the Monsterverse or other versions of the monster. His strength, agility, intelligence, and the fact that he's a giant ape give him a major advantage over other Titans.

With Ernest being younger, just like Kong was in the Skull Island movie, it means that he's still able to grow with his powers before becoming ready to handle more of Kong's magic.

I didn't spend too much time with their battle with the Skull Devil, as the main action was going on inside the temple. However, I didn't show Gray's fight with Lyon because it was going to play out the same in canon. So I used that time to bring you the fight with the giant Skullcrawler.

Admittedly, that was where I got a lot of writer's block. Not just from trying to figure out Ernest's Ape Titan abilities, but also for coming up with a way to make the fight awesome and enjoyable. I couldn't use the same way Kong used to kill the Skull Devil, so I had to get creative.

Now it's time to get back to "Heroes of Tomorrow." Just like this update, I'll be doing two chapters for that story and then moving on.

Thank you very much for reading. "Godzilla: The Titan-Slayer of Fairy Tail" will return. Please be sure to Favorite and Follow if you like the story, and also Review it. If you have any questions or discussions that you want to have for me, please tell me in a Review or a PM. And if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it. No Flaming!
