First off, I just want to say thank you to everyone that was patient while I was focused on my other stories. With how long Fairy Tail is, I'd rather have focused on stories I know I could complete, like Weirder Things.
For those of you that weren't patient and wanted me to come back to this story no matter what…I hope you learn that good things come to those that are patient. And I've come to realize that when people start trying to come up with ideas for the story, that's just another way they're telling me to hurry it up.
Either way, I'm back. So you didn't have to be dicks any more.
Secondly, yes, I have watched Godzilla vs Kong and I loved it.
Also, just to get this off my chest.
Hoffajordanj: Don't know if you read this story, but here it goes.
Look man, I get that you didn't like Booker punching and threatening, but seriously, you've got to chill the hell out. You're getting upset over a fanfic. And just because you don't like The Seventh Son, it doesn't give you the right to be a jerk or a brat about it. Also, that scene was inspired by another fanfic called "Luz Noceda, The Fighter", where Luz gives Edric and Emira a total beat down.
So again, cool it and just read another story.
Sorry about that, everyone. Let's go.
The kingdom of Fiore.
A small, peaceful nation of 17 million, and a place filled with magic. Found in every home. Bought and sold in every marketplace for most, magic is merely a tool. A mundane part of everyday life. For some, however, magic is an art, and they've devoted their lives to its practice. These are the wizards. Banded together into magical guilds, they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore.
But there's a certain guild in a certain town that sores high above the rest. One from which countless legends have been born. A guild that will no doubt continue to create legends well into the future. Its name is Fairy Tail.
However, they weren't the only ones that knew magic. For long ago, giant monsters roamed the lands. Extremely powerful and intelligent creatures that lived in Earthland alongside humankind. Some even considered them to be the true rules of the world and called them the Titans. Some lived in harmony with humans and were worshiped as gods, while others were vile and wanted nothing more than to destroy whatever they saw. And others simply wanted to be left alone.
They were engines of ultimate destruction, but as time went on, most of these Titans disappeared. And their existence remained in legends.
But there was one that didn't go away. A Titan that was considered by many to be an alpha predator, that brought balance to nature, magic, and humanity. Some call him Earthland's last line of defense against total annihilation. Some call him an animal that's merely driven by instincts. But all believe him to be a god incarnated.
The King of the Monsters.
His name is…

The Titan-Slayer of Fairy Tail
Skull Island Part 4:
"Return to Fairy Tail"
With the danger now over, the team celebrated.
"OH YEAH! That's right. We won!" Natsu and Ernest cheered happily.
"Aye, sir!" Happy cheered with him.
Sam, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy, Erza, Jasper, and Ernest gathered outside of the former resting place of the demon Deliora. Sam was told about what was going on while he fought against Zalty. Mainly the battle with the Skull Devil.
As for Lyon himself, the man that was the cause of all the misfortune that befell the island, was nothing more than just a lost child with dreams of surpassing Ur. His heart and head were in the wrong place, but his intentions were in the end good. Those that followed Lyon did it for the same reason. They weren't cruel, but simply believed that he could be the one to finally bring an end to the demon and get vengeance for all the lives it had taken.
Lucy sighed in relief. "You know, I was kinda worried for a while there. But it all worked out thanks to your amazing teacher," she said to Gray.
"We came! We saw! We kicked your ASS!" Jasper exclaimed, pointing at Lyon, who was just sitting against a rock with his arms crossed. He had taken off his body armor, leaving him in a blue jacket, black pants, and steel boots.
"Killing two powerful monsters at the same time is awesome!" Ernest cheered. "Do you guys do this all the time?"
"Pretty much," Sam replied, stepping out of the water after turning back into his human form.
"We totally finished an S-Class Quest all by ourselves!" Natsu exclaimed with a big grin and jumped up and down.
"You think Master Makarov will let us on the second floor now?" Lucy asked with excitement.
However, the celebratory mood was immediately shattered by Erza, who glared at all of them. Making everyone save for Sam and Ernest feel unsettled. She had not forgotten the reason for being here, and wasn't going to let them off the hook that easily.
"Oh no! You're still gonna punish us, right?" Lucy asked fearfully.
"Isn't there something that you're all forgetting about?" Erza demanded. "You came to this island to help the villagers. The request was for you to return them to their original forms. You still haven't completed your S-Class quest yet."
Sam sniffed the air and noticed that his senses were still being blocked. "She's right," he said, surprising the others. "We've stopped the ceremony and destroyed Deliora, but the effects of the Moon Drip haven't vanished."
"Exactly. Even with the demon gone, the magical energy from the Moon Drip is what's still causing the villagers to take on their appearance," stated Erza, sounding somewhat surprised that the Titan-Slayer was able to realize that.
"Meaning there's something else on the island that's causing the curse," Ernest said.
"W-What? Oh no," Lucy gasped in realization as she placed her hand over her mouth in shock.
"Well, then we'd better go and change them back," Natsu exclaimed happily.
"Aye, sir!" Happy agreed as he and the Dragon-Slayer both high-fived.
"Yeah, but we don't know how," Gray said.
That's when Jasper got an idea and turned to Lyon. Re-Constructed a blaster and aimed it at his head. "Alright, ice princess, you've got 5 seconds to tell us how to reverse the effects of the Moon Drip, or you'll be having your brains splattered over the rocks!" He threatened.
"Cool it, Jasper," Sam said, picking up the angry cat.
"To be quite honest, I don't have a clue," Lyon answered impassively.
"You don't know?" Natsu asked in disbelief.
"What?" Happy uttered.
"That doesn't add up!" Ernest said, walking over to Lyon. "The Iwi told us that the curse started around the same time you guys got here."
"When we first arrived here three years ago," Lyon explained, "we were aware that there was a village somewhere on this island. But we had absolutely no reason to communicate with the villagers, so we left them alone. They never came to the temple to see what we were up to."
"In three years, you've never once met?" Erza asked in disbelief.
"I don't understand. The light from the Moon Drip is so bright you can see it practically from any point on the island. It's kinda weird they saw it every night and never went to investigate," Lucy said.
"Unless something else is going on with the Iwi," Sam mused.
"The villagers weren't transformed by the Moon Drip. It doesn't affect the human body," Lyon replied.
"What?" Erza said in confusion while Sam frowned.
"Yeah right," Jasper accused. "You're just saying that so you and your lackeys will be off the hook."
"He might have a point," Ernest said. "I've been on the island longer than they've been and I haven't been affected by the Moon Drip. They've been casting the spell and their appearance hasn't changed one bit."
"Oh yeah! That's true," Lucy realized.
"Then that means…" Sam's eyes widened in realization.
"Ah, I see that you're starting to realize it, boy," Godzilla said, surprising Sam, who looked down at his chest with wide eyes.
'When did you know?'
"When we first arrived on the island. Kong explained everything to me."
'And you didn't just tell me why?'
"I was sleeping."
"You're starting to realize it, aren't you, Titan-Slayer," Lyon said. "I wouldn't trust them. Those villagers are hiding something."
"Yeah, and I think I know what it is," Sam said, surprising the others while he looked up at the purple moon.
"Wait, what?!" Exclaimed Natsu, while Erza looked rather impressed that he may have actually figured out the secret of the 'curse'.
"We'd better go see for ourselves. Come on, we've got a job to finish," Sam said before walking off.
"But what are we gonna do to lift the curse?" Lucy asked.
"I've got no idea," he replied.
"Oh great…"
"Hey, wait, what about this guy?!" Natsu shouted, pointing at Lyon. "He and his group attacked the village and…"
"Leave him be, Natsu," Erza ordered. "They were only doing what they believed to be right. So there's no need to criticize them for it. Now let's go." She began to head off too with Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Ernest, and Jasper.
This just left Gray and Lyon behind. The Ice-Maker of Fairy Tail turned to his old friend and stared at him with a sympathetic look.
Lyon glared at him. "What do you want?" He growled lightly, obviously still not on the best of terms with his fellow student.
"I know you don't want to hear it, but you really should join a Guild. You'll make new friends, make new rivals, and maybe even find a new dream to live for," Gray stated.
Lyon's expression turned into a look of surprise. He never would have expected this. After all that he had done, the silver-haired teen didn't think that his old friend would have still been looking out for him. However, he just turned away with an angry scowl. "Whatever," he grumbled. "Just get out of here!"
Gray smiled slightly and then turned around, walking away.
The Fairy Tail members and Ernest arrived back at the village with no problem down the river. When they arrived, the gate was open, so they sailed in. However, to their shock, the village was completely repaired. Everything that was damaged during the fight was repaired, including craters and buildings. It was as if Lyon's minions had never attacked.
"It's the same as it was before!" Ernest exclaimed as the villagers walked around, cheering excitedly.
"What the hell happened?!" Natsu shouted next to Jasper.
"Ah! Dude, that was right in my ear!" Jasper yelled back at him.
As Sam looked around, he sniffed the air, trying to pick up any clues as to what might have happened. It was as if someone had rested everything. That's when he realized what had happened. There was only one person on the island that could have done this.
The Titan-Slayer looked around and tried to pick up the scent of Zalty, but couldn't. The woman disguised as a man was either no longer on the island or was masking their presence. Either way, Sam couldn't come up with a reason as to why she'd restore the village.
However, in the shadows, unbeknownst to those in the village, the masked woman looked down at the group with a smirk on her face.
He then looked to his right and saw Moka. The village chief was kneeling by his son's grave. Sam walked over to himself, not saying a word.
A moment later, Moka glanced back at him. "You and your wizard friends used magic to restore our village, didn't you?"
"Actually, it wasn't us," Sam said. "We're just as confused as to why it's like this."
"We stopped the Moon Drip ceremony and killed the Skull Devil," Ernest said, walking over to him. The mention of the Skull Devil's death surprised everyone in the village.
"Yes, it is rather strange…" Erza began, though stopped mid-sentence when she stepped on a pile of leaves.
"AAAH!" Fairy Tail's strongest female wizard let out a girlish squeal as she fell down the pit trap that Lucy made the previous night. Startling everyone.
"Whoa, even Lucy's lame trap is back," Happy said as Jasper rolled on the ground, laughing at Erza
"She screamed…like a girl?" Natsu whispered in awe.
"Wasn't she a girl before?" Ernst asked, on Natsu's back and grooming his pink hair.
"Yeah, but she sounded…kinda cute," Gray emphasized.
"I AM SO GONNA BE DEAD MEAT WHEN SHE GETS OUT!" Lucy screamed hysterically.
Sam walked over to the pit and looked down into it. "Erza, you okay?" He asked, being the only one that did so.
The scarlet-haired knight climbed out of the pit and dusted off her skirt, acting as if nothing had happened. "I'm fine. Right now we need to get back to the matter at hand," Erza replied. The villagers were a little surprised by how casual she was being.
"Oh right, the curse," Natsu said.
"That's right," Moka said, pulling himself up on his staff and standing up. Turning to face the wizards and slayers with an intense stare. "So when are you finally going to destroy the moon for us?! Well?!"
"Yeah that's not gonna happen," Sam said, surprising everyone in the Iwi village. It was rather ridiculous that these people were still insisting on such an insane course of action. "The moon doesn't need to be destroyed to break the curse."
"So you've actually figured it out?" Erza asked with a small smirk.
"Well, what do we have to do?" Natsu asked confusedly.
"Yeah, tell us, tell us!" Happy chirped.
"Just sit back and watch," Sam said, before he transformed back into his Titan form and stepped away from the group.
Looking up at the moon, Sam began to charge an atomic breath. The villagers and wizards watched as his dorsal plates glowed the intense, glowing blue light of his magic. He didn't know quite how strong his attack needed to be, but he was certain that a full-powered attack would be more than enough.
The atomic breath was unleashed from his jaws, shining so bright and brilliant that everyone stared at it with a sense of awe. The large column of energy shot into the sky and headed directly for the moon.
"Ooooh, so bright," Happy said.
"Is he actually trying to destroy the moon?!" Lucy shrieked.
"Sam did say that we didn't have to…" Gray said, though he was unconvinced given what was playing out right before his eyes.
"So why is he shooting the moon?" Jasper asked.
"Just watch," Erza said as she watched the impressive attack with a small smirk.
The atomic breath continued for miles into the sky until it slammed into something, causing a massive explosion. Sam stopped and stared up at the explosion. Smoke and light bits of fire cover the sky where the moon had been for a brief moment before it started to clear away.
To everyone's shock, the purple moon was gone, and in its place was a massive hole. Through which the night bright glow of the actual moon shined through. The night sky around the freshly created hole started to crack away before shattering like glass into thousands of pieces.
This was what was causing the moon to turn purple over Skull Island. A barrier of some kind that covered the entire island. And now that barrier was destroyed, as it rained down magical particles all over the jungles and swamps of Skull Island. The sky, stars, and moon above were back to their normal colors.
"What…just happened?" Natsu questioned confusedly.
"It wasn't the moon that was destroyed," Lucy gaped, staring at the crystalline particles that rained around the island. "It was the sky."
"As a result of the Moon Drip spell," Erza explained with a smile, "a nauseous membrane was covering the island. It released evil energy in the form of a gas. That gas crystallized and formed an invisible shell in the sky that covered Skull Island. That's why the moon looked purple here.
"That's right," Sam said, walking back over to the others. "It's why my sense was so bad before. Now that the barrier's gone, the villagers should no longer be affected and should go back to normal again."
"Then we will finally be human again!" Moka cheered excitedly.
"No." Sam shook his head, once again drawing many confused looks.
"You figured it out as well, didn't you," Erza said with an impressed smirk as she crossed her arms. "Impressive, Sam."
"Ah, come on! What's going on!" Jasper yelled, flailing his arms around in frustration.
"The Iwi people aren't human." Sam gestured to the villagers with his hand. "This is their true form. All this time they thought they were humans who've been transformed into demons, when it was the other way around. They're actually demons."
"WHAT?!" Lucy shouted in total shock as the villagers looked at the Titan-Slayer with surprise.
Ernest looked up at the sky with wide eyes and a big smile on his face. "It's…really over," he said in relief.
"You knew, didn't you."
Ernest gasped and saw Sam glaring at him. Seeing that the jig was up, he sighed.
"Yeah. I did," Ernest said, surprising the Fairy Tail wizards, as well as the villages. "It's true that I've tried to break the curse and get everyone back to normal, but I couldn't. Kong told me about the barrier, but told me to not tell the village the truth. Fearing what would happen if you all learned that there were wizards on the island that were causing the curse."
"But why couldn't you break the barrier?" Gray asked.
Ernest shook his head with a sad smile. "I'm not strong enough. I'm still just a kid, so I'm not able to use all of Kong's full powers. So he told me to wait until I was able to bring down the barrier, or for when someone with the power needed to come to the island."
He then bowed his head.
"I'm sorry I lied to you all. I was just trying to look after my island."
Sam approached Ernest and to his surprise, placed his hand on his fellow slayer's head. "You only did what you thought was right, Ernest," he said with a kind smile. "Just be more honest with us in the future."
"Eh, who cares?" Jasper said, before turning to the villagers. "But what about you guys? How could you just forget that you're demons?"
"It's likely because of the Moon Drip spell," Erza said with her arms crossed. "The magic's light is sacred, meaning it would have had an effect on creatures of darkness."
"Well, would you look at that? You guys managed to do it after all. I knew I could count on ya," said a familiar voice from behind the group.
The group turned to the source and were stunned by who they saw. Lucy and Happy hugged each other tightly as they screamed. Sam, Gray, and Natsu's jaws dropped from the sight of a familiar demon that had appeared out of nowhere.
"It's you!" Sam exclaimed when he saw the same villager that took them to Skull Island.
Moka's eyes teared up and his lips quivers at the sight of his son that he had presumed dead. "Bobo…"
"But we thought you were dead," said one of the villagers.
Bobo chuckled a little. "Getting stabbed in the chest hurts pretty bad, but you gotta do more than that to kill a demon."
"But you disappeared on the boat," Jasper mentioned, pointing at him.
All of a sudden, he disappeared again, startling the wizards until they looked up. To their shock, Bobo was up in the sky, with a pair of black, bat-like wings folding out from his back. He hovered over them with his arms crossed.
"I sure hope you kids can forgive me for not telling you sooner. You see, I was the only one without any memory loss so I had to get outta here. I knew I was a demon, but everyone else suddenly thought they were cursed humans," Bobo explained before he started laughing.
"B-Bobo…" Moka, unable to take it anymore, spurted a pair of wings, soared into the sky, and collided with his son. Wrapping his arms around his son in a tight hug. Bobo happily returned the embrace, before all the Iwis decided to join their chief and his son. Smiling as they cheered and hovered in the sky.
The Fairy Tail wizards and Ernest stared up at the sky with happy smiles across their faces. "Yep, they're definitely demons," Erza.
Later, the village was throwing a big feast to rejoice in everyone regaining their identities back. Natsu, Happy, Ernest, and Jasper were currently gulping down large amounts of food, but many of the demons were as well. Erza and Lucy were with them, but were eating at normal speed. Gray was sitting close to a hut as a group of village girls swooned him around with hearts in their eyes. The ice mage, meanwhile, sat there with a blushing face and a sheepish grin on his face. They eventually pulled Gray to his feet and tugged him to the dance area.
Lucy, Erza, Jasper, and Happy eventually saw this and couldn't help but smile. "Looks like someone's getting some attention from the ladies," Lucy teased.
"You go, ice striper!" Jasper cheered with his usual grin.
"They'll scare him off eventually," noted Happy.
"Well, I have to admit, I was wrong about humans," Moka said. The group turned to the village chief, who was sitting next to Bobo. "All these years, we've chosen to hide from the outside world, afraid that they would judge us by our appearance."
"You know the curse," Bobo added, "that was actually a rumor we started so nobody would come to the island and bother us."
"All you had to do was keep the name Skull Island and that would have kept everyone away," Jasper said.
"I know. It's a shame," Moka said, lowering his head. "But it's thanks to you that we've changed our minds. You have restored our faith in humans and we are not afraid. That being said…" he turned to Ernest, who was sitting across from him. "I owe you an apology for how we've treated you, Ernest."
Ernest swallowed the food in his mouth and smiled. "It's alright, Moka. I know that you were still grieving," he said sincerely. "I'm just happy Skull Island's back to normal.
Erza smiled and nodded before noticing that there was someone that wasn't with them. "Where's Sam?"
"He's over there," Lucy said, pointing to where Sam was.
The Titan-Slayer, after two days of fighting nonstop, was sleeping under a tree. Sitting against it with his back placed on the truck and his arms crossed. Resting peacefully while the villagers partied.
Erza and Lucy smiled as the two girls watched him sleep. "It's pretty amazing, right? All the things he's able to do." The blonde said as the redhead nodded.
In the time that she's known him, Sam had proven himself somewhat of a godsend, which is ironic when considering that he had inside of him a monster that was a god incardinate. He was extremely capable in terms of fighting abilities, with powers that she'd never seen before. Add in a level of intellect that Erza couldn't say many members of Fairy Tail have.
Sam had been a fresh addition to their guild, and in such a short amount of time, she's found herself admiring him. He really was an incredible man. One moment he was a gentle giant, the next he was a monstrous force of nature that was worthy of the title of S-Class. It was possible that Erza was staring at the next potential candidate for an S-Class Fairy Tail mage.
Erza stood up and walked over to the sleeping Titan-Slayer. As she approached, the armored woman stared down at Sam before cheering her throat.
His breath sighed and opened his eyes. He looked up and saw Erza standing over him. "Hey, Erza. How's it going?" He asked, yawning.
"I desired to talk to you," Erza said in a stern tone, turning her body to the side and staring at the villagers. However, there was a slight amount of blush on her cheeks, which was hidden from him by her red hair.
"What about?" Sam asked, guessing that whatever it was it had to be important.
"First off, you and the others are certainly not off the hook," Erza told him with an edge in her tone.
"Ah man…" Sam mumbled, having forgotten that Erza was still furious with them.
"However, I understand perfectly why Natsu and Lucy went on this mission, and even why Gray decided to go along with it. But why did you? Why did you decide to come on this mission, despite knowing that it was breaking the rules of the guild?"
Sam stared at her before turning away and staring at the Iwi. Erza did the same and watched the villagers celebrating. The truth was she knew that his answer was, due to Gray having informed her some time ago. Still, she needed to hear it from him.
"It's like I told Gray, I'm not here for the glory or the money. It's because I couldn't ignore what was happening here. I couldn't ignore the calls for help when they were suffering. Consequences be damned. If saving them meant being kicked out of the guild, I honestly think I can live with that," Sam said with a firm tone.
The scarlet-haired knight looked down at the Titan-Slayer with a smile as her eyes softened. It was the exact answer she was wanting to hear. Still, Erza didn't want him to know that or that she was pleased with what he had done, for obvious reasons.
"So long as you don't do such a thing again, I suppose I will not remain upset with you. However, I expect you to not do something like this again," Erza stated firmly, despite the smile and soft look in her eyes.
Sam looked up at her and then looked back at the village, smiling. "Alright."
However, outside the village not too far away, Zalty was perched atop a tree with a wicked grin on her face. Floating beside him was the orb she used to fight Sam. It was now acting as a transference device to communicate with who she was really working for.
"Were you able to see all that, sir?" She asked.
"Yes. Why did you restore the village?"
Zalty turned and gave the orb a thumbs up. "Because I'm nice," she said, still smiling.
"Some might say too nice. You better leave before they find you. Those Fairy Tail wizards, especially the two Titan-Slayers, could pose a threat if they get in our way."
Zalty grinned, before reaching up and pulling off the mask. At first, it was revealed that he was a man until his form started to change in a bright, white light. When the light faded, in his place was the real Zalty, Ultear.
"Sam Serizawa truly is an interesting boy," Ultear said, gazing at the Titan-Slayer with a predatory gaze as she lipped her lips. And then she left.
The next morning, Sam yawned as he stood next to Jasper, Lucy, Gray, Natsu, and Happy, who were all sitting by a hut. The young blonde woman was examining a faint scar that was on Gray's forehead. However, the long hair of the ice mage covered it up. Natsu, meanwhile, was eating fires off of two torches he had like they were cotton candy.
Lucy continued staring at the cut. "Hmm…I think it's gonna leave a scar."
Gray shrugged. "Whatever, it doesn't matter to me."
"That's right, tough guy. Just keep saying that to nurse your hurt ego," Jasper said, eating a fish.
"Shut up, you stupid cat," Gray snapped before smirking at Lucy. "I don't mind having a few scars as long as I can see them. It's the ones you can't see that sting."
Jasper turned his head away from him with a frown. Meanwhile, Lucy smiled and said, "Well, aren't you a smooth talker."
Natsu, who was still eating the flames on the torches, growled in response. Sam looked at him with a raised brow, wondering what he was getting mad about.
"So you've got invisible scars?" Natsu mocked.
"Shut up, Natsu!" Gray yelled. "Every time I say something cool, you've got to ruin it!"
"How was that cool?"
"Enough, you two," Sam said in a stern voice. He then looked off to the side and saw Erza talking with the Iwi. The villagers were offering her the reward for completing the job. However, Erza simply refused.
"What?" Moka asked, speechless. "But Miss, you deserve the reward so take it, please."
"Thank you, but your gratitude is payment enough. Your request wasn't officially accepted by the guild," Erza replied with a warm smile. She briefly turned to see Sam bashing Natsu and Gray's heads together to get them to stop, while Lucy stood to the side with an exasperated smile. "It fell into the hands of wizards trying to prove themselves. Sam didn't care about the reward, only about helping your village."
Moka laughed. "Foolish as they may be, if it weren't for them or Ernest, we wouldn't have been saved," he said. "What if I give you the money not as a reward, but as a 'Thank you' gift? It's the least I can do after everything you've done for our village."
The group heard this and immediately turned their attention to the conversation, with even Natsu and Gray ceasing their fighting. Erza remained silent for a moment, before a smile formed on her face.
"It's hard to reject when you put it like that," she said, shaking her head.
"Hell yeah!" Jasper exclaimed with a giant grin on his face as Lucy, Gray, and Natsu smiled happily. Even the villagers looked pleased to hear that Erza accepted their reward. While not as enthusiastic as his friends, Sam smiled as well. "We're rich!"
"But to accept the reward would go against our guild's standards," Erza said, destroying any hope they had of being paid for the job.
"Fuck the guild's standards!" Jasper yelled, flying towards the scarlet-haired knight. However, Sam grabbed him by the tail and held him back while Jasper flailed his arms around, trying to attack Erza.
"Although, we would be happy to take the Gate Key that you offered along with it."
"GATE KEY!?" Natsu, Gray, and Jasper shouted simultaneously, both enraged.
Lucy, on the other hand, was elated. "Come to momma!"
The sound of someone running brought the attention of the wizards and the villagers to Ernest. He had gone to the shores of the island to see if the storm that surrounded it had finally settled down to let the Fairy Tail wizard leave the island.
"Alright, it's all clear for you guys to go," he said, running up to them.
"So, how do you guys get home?" Sam asked Titania. He would just swim back to the mainland with no problems. But the others would have to get back on a boat.
"No need to worry. We have a ship ready," she said.
After a river ride and fighting off some of the dangerous monsters on the island, the Fairy Tail wizards, Ernest, and the Iwi villagers were all standing on the shores of the beach, staring dumbfoundedly at a massive pirate ship that was anchored offshore.
"A pirate ship?!" Gray exclaimed in shock as the pirate captain and his crew cheered for Erza.
"You kidding me?!" Lucy yelled. "Did she hijack it?!"
Sam glanced at Erza with a sly smile. "They seem really happy to see you."
"That's right. They've become quite fond of me," she replied.
Ernest laughed with a happy smile. "Wow! Your guild really is something else," he said, gaining Sam's attention.
"Yeah, it sure is," he said with a smile as he glanced back at the others. But then Sam looked back at Ernest and approached him. "And it's something you can also experience too, you know."
Ernest looked at him with confusion. "What do you mean?"
"I know that Skull Island is Kong's home and that it's your home, but I think you should really consider leaving and finding a guild to join," Sam said, earning a look of surprise from Ernest. "I left my home under the ocean and looked at where I am now. I've made friends. Gone on amazing adventures. Plus, there could be other Titan-Slayers out there. I don't know about you, but maybe it's about time for the Titans to make a comeback, in human form."
Ernest stared at his new friend with wide eyes before turning his glaze slightly to see the other members of Fairy Tail smiling at him. In the past few days that he's been with them, Ernest had seen how Sam and the others were together. Sure they had their ups and downs and butted heads a lot, but they really did seem like they were good friends. And for a boy like Ernest, who's been alone on the island for most of his life, it was definitely appealing to him.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Sam placed a hand on his shoulder. "At least think about it," he said before turning and walking over to the rest of the team.
"Hey, Sam! Could you perhaps let me ride on your…" Natsu was cut off when Sam picked him up and threw him up onto the boat.
Soon the others were all aboard the ship. The vessel deployed its black sails and set out for the sea. Ernest and the Iwi all applauded as the vessel sailed further away. Sam and Lucy waved to the people on the island, wishing them farewell while Natsu bent over the side with motion sickness.
However, they weren't the only ones watching the Fairy Tail wizards leave, as Ernest found out when he sniffed the air and caught several familiar scents.
Upon the rocks overlooking the sea, Lyon and his comrades watched as the hip left Skull Island. A moment later, Ernest came jumping down from the sky and landed near the former Cold Emperor.
"I'm surprised you all are still here," he said, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow.
"Don't worry, we'll be out of your hair soon," Yuka said, clasping his hands behind his back. Next to him was Toby, who was crying and had tears pouring from his eyes like waterfalls.
"I…I'M NOT CRYING!" Toby yelled, still crying.
"Is this okay?" Sherry asked, looking down at Lyon, who watched the ship sail off into the distance. "Gray was your friend, and you're finally getting along."
"It's okay," said Lyon with a small smile.
As the pirate ship disappeared over the horizon, Ernest turned to Yuka and Toby. "You two were in a guild, right?" He asked, having come to a decision. "What's it like?"
Era was a large town, built around a high, rocky mountain. The mountain nested the headquarters of the highest authority in the world of Magic, the Magic Council. The rocky mountain was located in the heart of the city, and it featured a jagged pathway that encircled the circumference of the mountain as an entrance into the Council headquarters.
In the headquarters was the office of Siegrain, the true architect of Skull Island's curse.
The door behind him opened and Ultear walked into the room. "It's a shame Deliora didn't work out," she said as Siegrain closed a green book.
"Yes, it is rather unfortunate," he said with a smile. He used his magic to telekinetically lift it into the air and place it back on an enormous shelf. "But we had no way of knowing the demon was already dead. It's a minor setback; I'll be more thorough next time."
Ultear stepped forward. "I just thought that we could've gotten one step closer to the dream if we had Deliora," she said, hanging her head. "I'm sorry, Siegrain. I didn't imagine that wench's magic would be so powerful."
"You shouldn't speak of your mother that way," Siegrain chastised half-heartedly, turning to face her. "Don't cause Ur to shed another tear. She was a magnificent wizard who was greatly admired. In fact, if she were alive today, I believe she would be counted amongst the Ten Wizard Saints."
"Tch, you think too highly of her," Ultear said with a disgusted look. "My mother loved her magic and nothing else. It's no wonder my father abandoned the wretch."
"They say that the greater the loss a person suffers, the stronger they must become to triumph over it."
"I highly doubt my mother considered me a great loss."
"Hmph, you never know. Perhaps she took on those students to fill the void that you left behind."
Before Siegrain could continue, the dark-haired woman silenced by placing a finger over his lips. "Can we please change the subject-GAH!" Ultear suddenly gasped when she felt an intense pain from her stomach.
Siegrain laughed in amusement. "It seems that your injuries haven't quite healed up yet," he said, causing a frown to spread across Ultear's face. "I want to know your honest opinion of Sam Serizawa. Natsu has already begun to burn brightly just as I had hoped, but this man from the ocean is truly an enigma."
"He's an extremely powerful opponent," Ultear replied in a deadly serious tone. "He has not only incredible speed and strength, but his magical powers are truly a sight to behold. No magical circles, just power that I'm sure is only a fracture of what he's capable of. One thing is for certain, he truly does have Godzilla's powers."
"Interesting…" Siegrain trailed off, deep in his thoughts.
"What do you plan to do?" Ultear asked.
"For now, nothing. Sam Serizawa might actually have proven himself to be a valuable piece in my little game. For the time being, I merely wish to see what else he and the other Titan-Slayers have in store for this world," Siegrain said with a wicked smirk and his fists clenched.
"We're home!" Natsu shouted with a big grin when the team arrived back in Magnolia.
"Aye, sir!" Happy cheered.
"Shut up, you two!" Jasper yelled angrily at them, a tick mark popping out of his head. They were walking down the stone street of the town, with Erza behind the others, pulling her wagon.
"What's gotten into you?" Lucy asked, noticing the jaded cat was much more annoyed than usual.
"He's just mad because we didn't get any money," Sam said.
"Can't say I blame him," Gray grumbled with an annoyed look. "All that trouble for some stupid key."
"Yeah! We could have been rich!" Jasper complained with anime tears rolling down his face.
"Well, I'm sorry, but it wasn't an official job," Erza replied. "Just be glad you got something."
"Besides, we got to meet another Titan-Slayer, help an entire village reclaim their memories, and stop an evil demon from reawakening," Sam stated.
"Exactly," said Lucy with a bright grin. "So quit your complaining."
Jasper glanced back at her with a sour expression. "You're one to talk. You got a stupid key!" He pointed at Lucy's new gate key. "We're selling the damn thing when we get back to the guild."
"Like hell, we are, you mangy cat!" Lucy exclaimed, clutching the key close to her large chest. There was no way she was giving up one of the only twelve golden Zodiac keys when she was lucky enough to have five.
"You're all so carefree," Erza said, silencing the other mages as she stopped walking. The scarlet-haired knight looked at them with a frown. "It's almost as if you forgot that you're supposed to face punishment when we get back to the Guild."
That statement made Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy, and Jasper looked back at the redhead with horrified expressions. Sam was the only one that remained calm and uncaring.
"But why?" Natsu asked weakly.
"Everything worked out in the end," Lucy added frantically. "Can't we just forget about the whole punishment thing?!"
"You're right, it did work out, but the only reason the job was completed in the end was because Sam figured out what was happening and dealt with what the job had originally requested of our guild. However, stealing an S-Class request is a serious offense."
"So after all the good we've done on Skull Island, we're still going to be punished?" Sam asked, worried that he was likely going to be kicked out of Fairy Tail.
"If you all promise to never do it again, I don't believe you need to be penalized by the guild. But your fates lie in Master Makarov's hands. I'm sure none of you will be kicked out of the guild, but you will be facing punishment," Erza told him.
"Now I'm really scared," Happy said, holding his face with a fearful expression. "Do you think he's gonna make us do that?"
Gray's face paled as he curled into a ball on the ground. Holding his head frantically, he yelled, "JUST KILL ME NOW! I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN LIVE THROUGH THAT AGAIN!"
"Talk, you idiot! What are you even talking about?!" Jasper yelled, grabbing Gray's shirt and shaking him around.
"Seriously! You guys are freaking me out!" Lucy squealed as she felt a shiver run down her spine.
"Don't let them scare yah," Natsu said, wrapping an arm around Lucy's shoulder as he smiled confidently. "I'll talk the old man out of punishing us. That guy loves me."
"Natsu, you're the one that got us into this mess in the first place!" Sam exclaimed, glaring at his friend with an angered look.
"He's right, Natsu. You can't talk your way out of this one," Erza said with a grin, before beginning to laugh.
Natsu's grin slowly faded as Sam and Erza's words sank in. Sweat started to pour down his face. Seconds later, Natsu was trying to escape down the road. However, Erza grabbed him by the scarf before he got too far. She then started dragging him towards the guild hall.
"NOOOOO! ANYTHING BUT THAT!" Natsu screamed as he thrashed in Erza's grasp. "Erza please! I'll do anything! Just don't make me do THAT!"
"You guys are seriously freaking me out! What is THAT?!" Lucy cried after seeing even the Dragon Slayer in distress.
"Better follow them," Sam said with Jasper landing on his shoulder, following after Erza as Natsu continued kicking and screaming. A dejected Gray and Happy and panicking Lucy followed solemnly behind.
However, as he walked with his fellow guild members, Sam noticed something that he hadn't before. Soon, the others started to notice too.
As the team strolled down the mildly populated streets that led to the guildhall, the townsfolk whispered as they walked past. Thanks to his advance hearing, Sam was able to pick up what they were saying. It was clear that something terrible had happened, and they were all taking pity on them. But why?
"Why is everyone staring at us?" Gray asked.
"It's not the good kind of staring," commented Happy.
"No. Something's definitely wrong," Sam told them, then looked forward and gasped as he came to a stop. The rest of the group did the same when they saw what he saw.
In the distance, they saw the guild, but it was misshapen. It looked as though it had very large rods sticking out of it.
"What? Why does the guild hall look so…bizarre?" Erza asked.
Already sensing something was very wrong, Sam started running straight ahead towards Fairy Tail. The others followed behind him. When they finally reached their destination, they were stunned. None of them were unable to believe their eyes.
The guild that was towering above them was damaged and destroyed by multiple enormous iron pillars protruding through the roof and sides of the building. The once proud Fairy Tail banner that used to blow in the breeze now hung limply on the guild's roof.
"Our guild," Natsu snarled, clenching his first. "Someone did this to our guild hall."
Sam glared at the damaged guild, feeling his anger rising. He didn't care about the guild being destroyed. But if someone from Fairy Tail was hurt in the attack it was game over for Phantom Lord. Being the Titan-Slayer of the most powerful Titan to have existed, Sam would have brought down an apocalyptic fury down on the other guild without so much as a gain of hesitation.
With an aggressive tone, he asked, "Who is responsible for this?"
"It was Phantom," a female voice answered behind them.
Gasping, Sam turned to see Mira standing there and stared at the wreckage with tears going down her cheeks. "Mira!" He quickly approached her. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine…" she stated, and her grief-stricken tone told a different story.
"Was anyone hurt?" Sam asked, still very worried for her and the others.
Wiping the tears from her eyes, Mirajane nodded and smiled up at Sam. Happy to see he was okay. "No. Everyone wasn't here when they attacked."
Sam sighed in relief, but Natsu was still furious. He turned to look at Mirajane with a look of pure fury. "Mira. Phantom did this?!" He growled.
Mirajane nodded. "We couldn't do anything to stop them. They got us good," she said, tears nearly coming back into her eyes.
"Wait, Phantom?" Jasper asked, surprised. "As in Phantom Lord?"
Sam turned to the cat on his shoulder. "Who is this Phantom Lord," he asked.
"Phantom Lord's not a person. They're a power guild and Fairy Tail's rival," Gray explained to Sam. "We've never been on the best of terms with them."
Sam's eyes widened. "You mean they're another Dark Guild?"
Mira shook her head. "No, they're an official guild just like us," she said, much to Sam's surprise. "Come with me. I'll explain along the way. Right now, everyone's using the basement since the main room's destroyed."
Godzilla will Return
AN: Aren't you all so happy that you were so patient?
And so, here we are. The end of the Skull Island Arc and at the beginning of the Phantom Lord Arc. Was it a little rushed? Maybe, but really, all that was going on was a lot of talking. Now we move onto one of many arcs of Fairy Tail that I've been waiting to get to.
As for why I'm not doing the Changeling episode, well there are two reasons. One: it serves no real purpose to the story and is only there for comedy. Two: I'm mainly going off of the manga storyline as that was how I got into Fairy Tail. Let's also not forget that Fairy Tail is a very long series, much like a lot of Shonen series.
Given the sexiness of Fairy Tail, there are most definitely going to be lemons in this story. However, it really all depends on which girl will go first. I'm saving Erza for after the Tower of Heaven Arc, but I think I might do a lemon scene before we get to that arc. And I've got the perfect scenario.
With Godzilla inside of Sam, and him already having some animalistic traits to him. So what would happen if Sam went into heat? And let's just say either Mirajane or Cana decides to help him out.
So, who do you think would 'help him up'?
And now that you all have the next chapter of this story, I'm going to be doing another chapter of Gem of War.
