Ventus and Jessica landed in Radiant Gardens and looked at their new surroundings. "Mickey?" Ventus said suddenly.
"You saw him?" Jessica asked. Ventus nodded. They went in the direction Ventus saw Mickey and came across a door to a castle with two men in uniforms at a gate. One had black hair in a ponytail, the other had reddish orangish hair. When Jessica and Ventus got close, the men pulled out their weapons.
"Hold on," The one with black hair ordered.
"The castle is presently closed," The one with red hair stated.
"But somebody just came this way. He's a friend of ours," Ventus explained.
The men looked at each other and then back at Ventus and Jessica. "We aren't aware of any visitors. Now run along home before the monsters get you," The man with black hair warned. Jessica could sense that he was lying.
"I could've sworn it was him," Ventus sighed disappointedly.
"Ventus, why don't we-" Jessica was interrupted by an Unversed.
"They're here," The one with red hair mentioned.
"Radiant Gardens shall not fall under the likes of you," The one with black hair commented. The man started to walk to the Unversed.
"Ven, let's split up. I think they were lying about Mickey. I'll interrogate them, and you go after the Unversed," Jessica suggested. Ventus nodded and ran past the men.
"Leave this to me!" He shouted.
"Stop!" The one with red hair commanded.
"You're just a child!" The one with black hair yelled. They nodded and started to run after him.
A man with long blond hair came out the door. He didn't seem to notice Jessica. "Now, who do you think will defend the castle if you two go skipping off?" He questioned.
"But, that boy-" The man with red hair started.
"Can defend himself. He's had worse battles," Jessica interrupted.
The men all turned towards her. The first two men apparently forgot about her. "Who are you?" The blond inquired.
"Jessica. So did my friend come by here?" Jessica questioned.
"I told you, he didn't," The man with black hair reiterated. Jessica could sense that he was lying again. She was now convinced that he was lying.
"Stop lying to me. He's a mouse, goes by the name of Mickey. Where is he?" Jessica scoffed.
"Tell me, girl, how do you know Mickey?" The blond asked calmly.
"He saved that other boy and me from a dangerous person," Jessica answered
"I see. Do you happen to have come from, oh I don't know, another world by any chance?" The blond questioned.
"Even!" The other men shouted.
Jessica summoned her keyblade. "How do you know about other worlds?" She growled.
"So I'll take that as a yes. Oh, before I forget, Dilan, Aeleus, his Lordship was asking for you," Even mentioned. The two men, who Jessica assumed to be Aeleus and Dilan, went inside.
"Tell me how you know about other worlds," Jessica demanded. Before Even could answer, Mickey came out of the door. Jessica let go of her keyblade, making it fade. "Mickey!"
"Jessica?!" Mickey exclaimed in surprise before he walked over to Jessica and Even. "What are you doing here?"
"You know what, I think I'll just go inside and let Mickey explain," Even decided. He went inside.
"Mickey, why do they know about other worlds? I was told that no one can know about other worlds," Jessica brought up.
"They are old friends of mine. Don't worry about that," Mickey replied.
"Do you mind if we walk while we talk? Ventus and I split up, and I would like to find him," Jessica explained. Mickey nodded. They didn't get very far before they heard a scream. It sounded like it was coming from where they started. They ran towards where they heard the scream.
