After she told Master Eraqus her answer, they went back to The Land of Departure so that Jessica could grab some of her things. Jessica packed her backpack and some snacks. She also took a bunch of potions and went outside. Master Eraqus was waiting for her. "I'm ready, Master," Jessica announced.
Before Master Eraqus could say anything, they saw Ventus approach the castle. Master Eraquas made his way to Ventus. "Ventus, are you alone? I thought Aqua would-" He stopped mid-sentence and placed his hands on Ventus's shoulders. "Well, what matters is that you're home. You don't belong outside this world yet. You need to stay here, where you can learn-"
Suddenly Ventus said something that surprised Jessica. "In your prison?"
"What?" Master Eraqus gasped.
"That's your excuse... for keeping me imprisoned here, isn't it?" Ventus accused.
"Ven?! What are you saying?!" Jessica asked, confused.
"What did you hear?" The master questioned.
"That I'm supposed to be some kind of a weapon... some kind of ... X-blade!" Ventus snapped.
"I knew it. Xehanort- he could never let it go. I failed. I had the chance to stop him and couldn't do it. But I will not fail again," Master Eraqus muttered. He summoned his keyblade.
"Master?" Jessica squeaked.
"Master! What are you..." Ventus trailed off.
"The X-blade has no place in this or any world. Xehanort has made his purpose clear... and I am left with no choice. Forgive me... but you must exist no more," Master Eraqus explained.
Jessica gasped. Master Eraqus used magic that Jessica had never seen before and directed it at Ventus. Jessica turned away so that she didn't have to look at her friend's demise. Suddenly she heard Terra's voice shout, "Ven!" She looked, and Terra was protecting Ventus. "Master, have you gone mad?"
"Terra! I command you, step aside!" Master Eraqus commanded.
"No!" Terra refused.
"You will not heed your Master?!" Master Eraqus asked angrily.
"I won't!" Terra replied.
"Why do all my attempts to reach you fail? If you don't have it in your heart to obey, then you will have to share Ventus's fate," Master Eraqus said sadly. Jessica saw a tear coming out of his eye, and then he ran to Terra with keyblade in hand and swung. Terra blocked Master Eraquas' attacks.
Finally, Ventus couldn't take it anymore. "Enough, Terra! He's right," Ventus exclaimed.
"Quiet!" Terra ordered. Jessica stood there, not sure what to do. She knew that she had to choose between her master and her friends. Master Eraquas did a light spell that pushed Terra and Ventus back and dealt a lot of damage. Ventus became unconscious, and Terra grabbed him before falling to the ground. Master Eraqus was suddenly surrounded by light. Ready to strike at any moment. Darkness surrounded Terra. "You may be my Master, but I will not let you hurt my friend!"
Jessica ran up beside Terra. "Me too. Ventus has done nothing wrong... except for running away, but that's not crime enough for death!" Jessica added.
"Has the darkness taken you, Terra and Jessica?" Eraqus asked. Terra opened a portal and threw Ventus inside of it. Ventus woke just when he landed. "Wait, Terra!" Ventus pleaded, but Terra didn't listen and closed it. Jessica decided it was time to get serious.
"MOON PRISM POWER MAKEUP!" Jessica turned into Sailor Moon. "The Guardian of Love and Justice, Sailor Moon has arrived! In the name of the moon, and Ventus, I'll punish you!"
To her surprise, Master Eraqus simply said, "So you are the legendary Sailor Moon. You would've made a fine Keyblade Master, but now it doesn't seem that you'll make it. I am sorry, Jessica, but what you are doing is inexcusable." Sailor Moon gasped. He said it as if he suspected her being Sailor Moon all along, which made her question how much he knew about her. Terra started to battle Master Eraqus. Jessica summoned her keyblade and started to help him. Too many Curas, Potions, and Moon Healing Escalations later, Jessica was finally at her limits for Moon Healing Escalations, Terra didn't have enough strength to do another Cura, and they had both run out of Potions. As much as she hated the thought, they had to finish it. With tears in her eyes gripped the middle of the keyblade and raided it over her head. She started spinning while spinning her keyblade. Suddenly, she raised it above her head again. "MOON" She started spinning again, but this time She held the keyblade straight out and switched back to holding it like she always holds it. "SPIRAL" She bent down while spinning. "HEART" She stopped spinning and held the keyblade above her head again. "ATTACK" Hearts appeared coming from her keyblade. A giant heart came from behind Master Eraqus and pushed through him, forming a Master Eraqus shaped hole in the heart. The big heart disappeared.
Master Eraquas looked like he was significantly injured. Both Terra's and Sailor Moon's keyblades vanished. Jessica started crying. Terra looked like he was ready to do the same. "What have we done? Master... We just wanted to keep Ven safe," Terra said sadly.
"Master, I-I'm so sorry didn't know what else to do! I didn't..." Jessica trailed off.
"No. You were right. I failed you. Both of you. Perhaps I have no one to blame but myself for the darkness inside you, Terra, and now I've done worse, raised my keyblade against you two and Ventus. My own heart is darkness. I can't believe I... I'm sorry. Jessica, this is for you," Master Eraqus mentioned as he pulled out of a pocket that Jessica didn't notice before. It was a pink cell phone. This wasn't just any old cell phone. This was her cell phone from her previous life. Luna had given this to her.
"Where did you-" She was stopped short by the sound of stabbing. Master Eraquas dropped the cell phone and his keyblade as he fell. Terra tried to catch him, but he faded into light. "Master!"
Master Eraquas faded. "Master Eraquas." Terra sobbed. Jessica quickly picked the cell phone up and put it in her backpack.
Master Xehanort came walking up to Terra and Jessica. "So you are The Eighth Light and the Fourteenth Darkness, and you are Sailor Moon. Quite intriguing. I'm sorry, Princess, but I'm afraid you must sleep. I wish you weren't involved, Serenity. I suppose that was my err bringing you here." Master Xehanort waved his hand, and Jessica fell asleep.
I really hated writing this. I can't stand it that Master Eraquas dies, and I hate it when they kill off an important character like that. The cell phone was in the live-action Sailor Moon if you didn't figure it out. I'm still debating what will happen to Jessica in the next chapter. I'm sure I'll figure something out.
The Guest that reviewed: Okay, could you come up with something I can call you and put it at the bottom of your reviews or something because I'm a little tired of calling you the guest that reviewed. If you don't want to, that's fine. I'm not forcing you to do anything. It's just a little annoying that I can't call you anything in replying to your reviews. I don't care if you call yourself Sailor Moon at this point. If there's something you would like to be called, please let me know, and I'll call you that. I might read that one fanfiction you mentioned, but it will be kind of hard for me because I grew up with the Japanese names and terms. I don't like using English names and terms such as to me Serena would be Usagi and Sailor Scouts would be Sailor Senshi or Sailor Guardians, and when I hear the English terms, I want to bang my head on something. No offense. That's just who I am.
