"Jessica! Wake up!"
Jessica opened her eyes to see who she now knew had been Chibi-Usa, though she was an adult now. "Chibi-Usa? What are you doing here?" Jessica looked around. She was on a stained glass platform. They had been on the same platform right before Terra's and Aqua's Mark of Mastery Exam. "Wait, what am I doing here!?"
"It appears someone has placed you here. I can wake you up. It won't take long." Light emerged from Chibi-Usa's heart. "Jessica, there's something you need to know. Time works differently here. I have no idea how long it has truly been. It seems like a few minutes, but it has likely been several hours. Never forget, I'm always with you no matter what. We will meet again, Sailor Moon." Suddenly, the light coming from Chibi-Usa's heart became blinding.
Jessica woke in an unfamiliar place with drab colors. She could tell by looking out the window that she was in a tower. She saw Aqua and Mickey looking at her and Ven sleeping against the wall. Aqua's eyes teared up, and she hugged Jessica. "Jess, you're awake! I'm so glad," Aqua sobbed. Jessica didn't understand what had made Aqua so worried, but she hugged Aqua back regardless.
"What happened?" Jessica asked though she feared the answer to her question.
"Master Xehanort had you. Terra, Ven, and I tried to defeat him. Terra was able to take you from Master Xehanort and get you to me, but then he went to fight Master Xehanort. I haven't seen him since. Vanitas took over Ven's body, and eventually, Mickey found Ven and me and took us here," Aqua explained. Jessica slowly stood up and noticed someone behind a desk. He was an old man with a grey beard, a blue cloak, and a blue sorcerer's hat. Jessica turned back to Aqua and gave her a look of question. "Jessica, this is Master Yen Sid."
"Hello, Jessica. I have been told much about you," Master Yen Sid greeted.
"Hello," Jessica replied.
Mickey spoke up. "Jessica, I saw your parents, and it doesn't look like you will be seeing them for a while. Sunset Kingdom is in a war. They don't want you to come home." Jessica didn't know what to make of that.
On the one hand, Jessica was relieved that she didn't have to return to her cold, unloving parents. On the other hand, she felt rejected. "But I do have somewhere for you to go. I have a friend in Radiant Gardens who wants to take you in," Mickey added.
"Do I have to? Why can't I stay with you, Aqua?" Jessica grumbled.
"Sorry, Jess, but I have to take care of Ven and find Terra. It may be too dangerous for even you. Okay?" Aqua tried.
"Fine, but I want you to visit me as soon as you find Terra," Jessica demanded.
"Deal." Aqua laughed as they shook hands. "Jess, do you want to come to see me off?" Jessica nodded. Aqua picked up Ventus, and they went down the tower stairs until they reached the bottom and went outside. "Ven needs a safe place." Ventus suddenly held his arm out and summoned his keyblade. It created a keyhole that turned into a portal. Aqua nodded. "Alright, if that's where you wanna go."
"Aqua, wait! There's something I've gotta show you." Jessica reached into her backpack and grabbed her phone. "The Master had it."
"Strange, what would he be doing with that phone?" Aqua mumbled. Suddenly, a light appeared in Aqua's hand. When the light faded, Ami's phone was in her hand.
"Wow! Now, no matter how far apart we are, we can contact each other," Jessica giggled.
Aqua smiled. "Goodbye. I love you like you were my own sister." She walked through the portal.
"Goodbye, Big Sis," Jessica sighed.
And this is finished. You may have noticed that I changed the summary. That's because I have decided to make this a series. The first chapter of the following story is up, so please read the next story in the series if you enjoyed this. I've really enjoyed writing this, and I'm sure I will enjoy writing the next book about Jessica. I know that my making this a series was unexpected and way last minute, but I wanted to change how I'm writing this, and I figured that's the best way to change it. The next book won't be just from Jessica's point of view.
Mellia: I didn't think about making her wake up in Kingdom Hearts 1 until you said something. It was tempting to take your idea because it would be a lot easier for me, but then I would have to change my plot slightly, and I didn't want to make that change. Lucky Jessica.
