A/N: First off, before the chapter begins, let me announce that I've finally finished watching the final season of Fairy Tail (sub first, then dub[don't give me crap about the dub!]), and I just want to say it reminds me why I love this anime so much. Hell, the anime put in some parts that weren't even the manga and made it more enjoyable. So, once again, I must say thank you Fairy Tail, thank you Hiro Mashima, and the people who worked on the anime and put all their hearts into it. Second, let me say I am very excited about this chapter because it's going to have the first of many moments I've been wanting to get to for so long. You know when I kept saying "I have a lot of good stuff planned in AOFT, I swear!" (In A New Beginning). Time to put my money where my mouth is. Third, since I'm now done with the final season (twice), I can now read the 100-year Quest and finally see WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail and/or Akame Ga Kill. They belong to their original owners.
The Assassins of Fairy Tail
Job Thirty Six: The Assassin's Doubts
At the western end of Ishgar, Zeref, who was wearing a new outfit, overlooked his massive army alongside Invel. They had stopped moving for a while after the Black Wizard's battle against his younger brother. Now, Invel felt it was time to move once again, but now some worry had seeped inside of his mind. "We shall resume our march on Fairy Tail. The fact remains that the other day we suffered an attack from a single enemy soldier; a mere boy at that. As such, it is unwise to make light of their power. Among the Spriggan Twelve, five members have been eliminated." The Winter General's announcement shocked many of the soldiers as they could hardly believe that even one of the Shields was defeated, let alone five of the Twelve.
Zeref knew that not all his Shield's defeat was Fairy Tail's doing. "One of them was the work of Acnologia, but who's counting?"
"However, that is no reason to be anxious, so long as we have the Power of Immortality, his majesty on our side! Our Army shall never know defeat! Now, Advance! March forth, children of Alverez! Deliver the Fairy Heart to his majesty's hand!" Invel's words greatly boosted their army's morale and their thunderous cheer could be heard all around.
Zeref had a slight smirk and his eyes were darkened with malevolence in them. "All my doubts have been cleared. Natsu…Mavis…the next time we meet, I'll show you what true despair looks like."
B
After the battle against Jacob, Brandish found herself back in her cell (of her own free will) On the other side of the bars were Lucy, Happy, and Natsu who were grateful for what the Shield had done for him. He just had to get her name right first. "Hey, Brand…uh…Brand-New Dress?
"It's Brandish!" Both Happy and Lucy corrected Natsu's pronunciation.
"Right, Brand-New-Fish! I heard you saved my butt earlier. Thanks a bunch!" The fire dragon slayer laughed happily but Brandish continued to look away from them.
Happy felt the same as his best friend. Perhaps even more so now that the worst was over. "We're really thankful for everything you've done for us!"
Lucy felt like it wasn't right that Brandish returned to her cell again. "You didn't have to go back to your cell, you know. We're not enemies you know."
Brandish continued to look away and said nothing. At least for the first few seconds. "I never thought Jacob would be defeated. Now I truly understand what the Emperor meant when he said we shouldn't underestimate our enemy." Hearing those words was akin to a compliment to Natsu. "But this is as far as you go." Her next words surprised the three of them. "The eighth month approaches."
Lucy didn't understand what Brandish meant by that and Happy was confused about something else. "Eighth month?"
"But it's September."
As Brandish thought, they had no idea what was coming toward them and what it would bring when he arrived. "In Alakitasia, the month of August is known as the Time of Gathering Calamity. Her people, in order to survive, they pray and live with modesty and integrity. August is the month of fear. This legend has been passed down for generations."
B
In the guild infirmary, Porlyusica had just finished Akame's injuries from her fight with Jacob. Her treatment lasted longer than Natsu's and Lucy's because her fight against the other assassin was longer. Akame had bandages wrapped around both her upper thighs, her shoulders to forearms, and a bandage on her left cheek. More were wrapped around her waist. "I'd suggest you avoid doing anything strenuous to your body for a while. Otherwise, your recovery will slow down."
Akame put her clothes back on since she had to remove them for Porlyusica to treat her in the first place. "I understand." Once she finished re-dressing herself, Akame turned around and bowed to the apothecary. "Thank you, Porlyusica." She straightened herself and turned away heading to the door. There was a soft sound of the door opening and then closing.
Akame walked toward the main guildhall and saw that the other members were busy repairing the damage Makarov had done. She stopped and took a long look at the hall. It was almost unbelievable to Akame that fight had occurred not too long ago. "Ah, son of a-!" She heard a cry and turned to the direction where she heard it coming from. She found several of the other guild members, two males and a female carrying Murasame's sheath and her other sword in its sheath, standing around near a wall where Murasame was still embedded. One of the males growled in frustration while rubbing his hand. "Come on, I'm just trying to take the damn thing out."
The other male walked in front of him and looked confident. "Stand aside, I'll do it." He grabbed the handle and instantly he felt intense pain. He screamed and immediately let go of the handle.
The lone female of the three sighed tiredly at their attempts. "I think you two left your brains behind. Did you forget that only certain people can use these things?"
The first male attempted to pull the sword out again. "We're not using it, we're trying to pull it out!" He grabbed the handle again, but the same result happened and yelled. "You stupid sword!" He was close to just kicking the sword out of the wall.
That was when Akame appeared in front of them and pulled her sword out with ease. All three of them were caught off guard at first with how easily she took back her sword. They quickly recovered and the second male was glad to see her. "Oh, Akame. You're here. You feeling alright after fighting that assassin guy?"
Akame looked at his direction and nodded at him. "I'm fine. Porlyusica managed to heal me just fine, as long as I don't do anything extreme for the time being."
The other members were glad to hear that. Natsu and Lucy didn't come out unscathed from the fight either, but Akame had taken more damage than them. The female member walked up to her and presented her weapons to Akame. "Here, these were kinda scattered around the guild." Akame smiled and gladly took back her weapons. She set her second sword in its rightful place and sheathed Murasame.
The second member couldn't help but stare at her Imperial Arms. "I'm surprised you didn't use that thing the first chance you had when you were fighting that guy, considering what it does."
The lone female member sighed at his ignorance. "You do realize if she did, none of us would be here right now."
The first male argued against that. "Yeah, but Lucy pulled us out of that weird space. I think it still could've worked. She still could've killed the guy."
"I don't think so." All three turned to Akame. "Remember, that wizard with the space cancelation magic was also in there with her. If Lucy hadn't convinced Jacob to release him alongside Brandish from his magic, then she wouldn't have Gemini turn into him and release all of you. If I had killed him before that, we wouldn't be having this conversation now." The two male members had to admit she had a strong point. If it were that easy, Akame would've killed Jacob with no problem at all.
The first male groaned as he closed his eyes and rubbed the back of his head. "I guess killing isn't as simple as I thought it'd be."
The female member scoffed at his words. "Well, that's what happens when somebody holds all of the guild hostage." She smiled at Akame next. "We're thankful for what you did for getting us out of that situation."
Unfortunately for her, Akame couldn't meet eye contact and seemed somber. "Why are you thanking me?" She turned away from the three members. "Lucy was the one who rescued all the guild members and Natsu was the one who dealt the final blow. Compared to that, just what did I accomplish?" Akame couldn't help but feel like she didn't do anything at all except getting beat up by Jacob.
That was when Akame felt a hand on her right shoulder and turned around to see the female guild member smiling at her. "Helped saved us. Even if you didn't do anything major like what Natsu and Lucy did, you still fought to get us back. It was a team effort and I'm sure everyone else in the guild is thankful for what all of you did."
Hearing that did make Akame feel a little better and smiled back at her fellow guild member. "Thank you. I appreciate it" It was a touching moment for all of them until they all heard a loud growling sound. Akame looked down and discovered it was her stomach and chuckled lightly. "I guess now that things have settled down, I've just realized how hungry I was."
The other three guild members laughed, and the first male smiled at her. "Well, let's scrounge up something for you to eat then." Akame loved that idea and nodded as they all left to see what Akame could eat in the kitchen.
Meanwhile, the other guild members were busy fixing the damage their guild master had caused and scolded him for doing so. Makarov did feel guilty for destroying the guild as he sat seiza style and looked the part too. "I'm utterly ashamed."
Max looked over at Warren and wondered what was happening with their other members. "How are things looking out on the battlefield, Warren?"
Warren moved his radar a little to make heads or tails but couldn't so and seemed puzzled with how it was acting. "About that…it looks like the radar is busted so…"
Jet and Droy glared daggers at their guild master and assumed that was his fault too. "I suppose I did that too?"
Warren didn't think so as he found what was wrong with his radar. "Nope. There's some powerful jamming at work here. Something is completely nullifying the radar."
Max recalled what Jacob had told them before he trapped them all in his space. "Now that you mentioned it, that assassin bastard did say something about that. Someone messed with the markers. August, was it?"
The mention of his name snapped Makarov out of his guilt and displayed a serious expression. "So, August has set his sights on us. The man called the King of Magic." The other guild members gulped as they could tell this was serious.
"This is exactly when we need the First Master's wisdom to-huh?" Max turned around and saw that their first master was nowhere to be found.
"Where she'd run off too?"
Thankfully, Makarov knew the reason why for their first master's disappearance. "In order to tend to her wounds, she said she was returning to the basement temporarily."
That cleared up one question, but there was one other question unanswered. "Out of curiosity, how does a thought projection body get injured?"
"Your guess is as good as mine."
B
At the bottom of the basement, Mavis, as well as Cana, were walking toward where Mavis's original body was. Cana impressed such a place existed in the first place. "I never would've thought there was a place like this below the guild."
Mavis smiled as she knew that was the natural reaction of anyone who'd come down in the basement for the first time. "Come to think of it, I suppose this is your first time seeing it." They approached her original body still encased in the lacrima, but this time there seemed to be a small crack. "What you're seeing is my true body. The eternal magic, Fairy Heart."
Both girls stopped just in front of the crystal and Cana felt a little overwhelmed seeing it for herself. "And that's what Zeref's after?"
Mavis nodded at Cana's question. "Yes. From witnessing Jacob's magic, along with Natsu and Lucy's retaliation against him, I've finally devised it; a strategy that will finally defeat Zeref once and for all." Cana looked over at her First Master with a confused expression. All she saw was that Mavis seemed very serious. "I cannot divulge the details just yet, but for the time being, we must remove my body from this lacrima."
Cana gasped at the idea and remembered what Mavis told them about her supposed last encounter with Zeref. "Hold on a minute That body inside the lacrima, is it…?"
"If my calculations are correct, yes. It's alive." Mavis confirmed. "Quite possibly thanks to Precht's resurrection magic."
While that was good to hear, there was still something Cana was confused about the whole plan. "How are we supposed to get it out?"
"Fairy Glitter." Mavis's answer surprised Cana. "We will cast Fairy Glitter and use its power to erase this thought projection body." Cana remained silent as she tried her best to process how insane this plan her First Master's came up with. Mavis looked back at her body and the crack that appeared. "Behold, as a result of my thought projection being attacked, it's been cracked. If I am correct, by exterminating my thought projection body, the lacrima can also be completely destroyed."
Cana gritted her teeth and started to have doubts about this entire plan. "What the hell are you saying!? Are you telling me I have to attack you?!"
While Cana was doubting this plan, Mavis remained calm." As I said, this is merely a thought projection, an apparition. It's not as if you're truly hurting me."
Even with that logic, Cana was highly against doing such a thing on the First Master and more importantly, a friend. "I won't do it! It's too dangerous! If by any chance your real body were to be-"
"CANA!" Cana stopped shouting and Mavis gave her a deadly serious look to her. "We have no choice but to take this wager. Please, believe in me! It is for the greater good of defeating Zeref!" Cana didn't know how to respond to such a declaration and remained speechless.

Northern Fiore
Over at the snowy north, Gajeel and his team saw the incoming Alverez army headed their way and to Fairy Tail. The army wasn't even close to them and yet Lily felt like he was on edge. "There they are. The enemy's main forces."
While they were at their destination, they haven't met up with either Sabertooth nor Blue Pegasus. Elfman and the others noticed this quite some time ago. "Looks like we won't be able to meet up with Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus, huh."
The fact they haven't seen any of the members at all worried Levy. "I hope they're safe." Chelsea didn't share that same hope and had a bad feeling that something must've happened to them. Levy took another look at the army and was closer to them now. "They're marching right at us. What should we do?"
For Gajeel, the answer as plain and obvious. "Do I really have to say it? We start kicking some ass!"
It was easier said than done for Mirajane and the others. "Their numbers are overwhelming."
Elfman had some confidence since they weren't alone in this fight. "We can do this. Sabertooth and the others should be nearby after all."
Even if it was just them, Gajeel felt ready to take on the enemy. They had too much riding on them and losing wasn't an option. "We're going to keep them in check here. We won't let 'em get any closer to the guild! ALL MEMBERS, PREPARE FOR BATTLE!" While Lily changed his size and everyone was ready for the upcoming fight, Chelsea still felt a little uneasy. It just wasn't the size of the enemy that intimidated her, but also her own fighting potential.
As they saw the enemy army come closer to them, they could their footsteps and saw they were all carrying something in multiples. When they came close enough, they were shocked to see what they were carrying. The soldiers howled and cheered while they were holding up the defeated members of Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus, tied up to wooden crosses. There were different reactions among the group. Mirajane was horrified, Lily was angry, Lisanna felt a little frightened and Levy was disgusted with how they were treating their friends. Gajeel was the most stunned at what happened to their friends and comrades. He almost couldn't be it was real. "Sabertooth and Pegasus…were completely annihilated?"
Out of all of them, Chelsea was the most scared at what she was seeing. Any doubt she had now intensified at the sight. "This is…insane. These are the same people that helped us defeat the Empire. Hell, Sting and Rogue were the ones that dealt the final blow to the Emperor's Supreme Imperial Arms. To see them all strung up like that is…just how strong are these people?!" Chelsea's feeling was right all along and felt a heavy feeling in the pit of her stomach.
B
Back at Hargeon, the battle to reclaim the town was still underway. There were some still fighting against the enemy while others were taking the small time they had to recover from their previous fights. With two of the Shields defeated, only one remained. Erza, Kagura, and Jellal made their way toward the ship where the last Shield currently was. They boarded the deck but as soon as they did, the entire area went dark. This caught them all off guard but something about this magic seemed familiar to Jellal "This magic…I've seen it before." Before he could discover the answer, he was attacked and so were Erza and Kagura.
"Well, we've got ourselves quite the nostalgic reunion here." The darkness lifted and all three saw one person standing in front of them. "Dark Instant. It brings back memories, doesn't it, Jellal?"
Former Tower of Heaven affiliate: Simon
All three recognized him and for a good reason. Simon, a childhood friend of Erza and Jellal, was previously killed back at the Tower of Heaven all those years ago. Both were there when it happened, along with Natsu. So, seeing him standing in front of them left Erza not believing her eyes. "Simon…?"
Jellal shared the same feeling as Erza since he was the one who killed Simon. "You're…alive?"
For Kagura, she also couldn't believe her eyes. Her body was shaking, and tears began to form from the corner of her eyes. It was almost like it was too good to be true seeing Simon again. "Big brother…" They all stood up and Kagura took a step forward. "It's me. It's Kagu-"
"It's not him!" Jellal stuck his right arm in front of Kagura to stop her. "That isn't Simon. It's a trick created by the enemy to confuse us!"
Kagura scowled at the man who killed her brother while wiping her tears away. "Damn you, how can you say that!?"
They all heard a laugh coming from above and looked up to see a person sitting on the spar of the ship. "What you're seeing is your 'Historia'. A tale of love, friendship, family, betrayal, and death. What a beautiful, sordid Historia indeed."
Spriggan Twelve member: Neinhart
"You did well to take notice in a short instant. Indeed, what you all are witnessing is you Historia." Neinhart smirked at all of them. "The magician in your hearts. I can gaze into peoples' hearts. There is a myriad of emotions and sentiments to be found in the heart and with my magic, you see, I can materialize those emotions into reality. The creation of life. That is the beauty of my Historia."
Simon in front of them began to phase in and out while looking at Kagura. "It's you…isn't it?"
Kagura ran past Jellal and tried to run over to her elder sibling. "Big brother!"
"Kagura…you've…grown…" It was too late as Simon vanished in front of them. For what it felt like a second time, Kagura had lost her older brother yet again.
While she was in despair losing her brother, Jellal wasn't as easily tricked. "Calm yourself! That's merely an illusion created by him!"
However, Kagura didn't feel like listening to him. "Silence!"
Neinhart closed his eyes and smiled while raising his left arm. A glow surrounded his head. "I'm insulted that you called my creations mere illusions. You witnessed it, did you not? The life I create can even use magic. It has memories and a personality as well." He unleashed a powerful magic attack and aimed it toward Kagura. Before it could hit her, Jellal grabbed her and shielded her from the attack with his body. The attack was powerful enough to blow a hole through the ship and straight into under the water.
Erza ran up to the hole and feared for her friends' safety. "Kagura! Jellal!" Neinhart continued to smile and snapped his fingers. As he did, another flash of light occurred. She turned around and summoned her sword to block an attack from a person she had not seen in a long time. In fact, Erza was shocked to see who it was. "You're…"
The woman chuckled as she smiled sweetly at her. "Did you go and forget about me already, Erza?"
Former Death's Head Guild member and Trinity Raven leader: Ikaruga
How could Erza forget someone like her? It was still unbelievable Ikaruga was standing before her. "Trinity's Raven's gone. I saw you die!"
Ikaruga simply giggled at her remark. "He merely released my soul."
Neinhart had a satisfied smile with the Historia he created. "Ikaruga. A most beautiful Historia."
Meanwhile, below the boat, a large chain sank to the bottom along with Kagura and Jellal. Kagura struggled to free herself from the chain and Jellal's hold of her. "Let me go at once!" She managed to escape and swam away from both the chain and Jellal. "I have to get back to Erza. She needs my help!" She stopped and looked back at Jellal's unconscious body. Kagura took a long look at him and felt a familiar hatred swell inside her body. "He's the one responsible for killing my brother. He's nothing but a murderer."
Back on the ship, Erza tried her best to parry and deflect all of Ikaruga's attacks, but one managed to slip through and cut her left shoulder. To her, this was not the Erza she'd fought from before. "You're clearly not your usual self, Erza. I feel none of the sharpness you had in the past."
Another flash of light appeared behind Erza and another person came into being. "It's her injuries, no doubt. Erza at her best is far stronger than this."
Former Grimoire Heart Guild member and Seven Kin of Purgatory: Azuma
Erza turned around in time for Azuma to prepare for his attack. "Now then, I'd like to bear witness to it. That incomparable strength of yours!" He extended his left arm and two large roots sprouted from the deck and underneath Erza. She managed to evade them by jumping into the air and away from them, but Ikaruga quickly approached her. In an instant, she drew out her sword and sheathed it while Erza had to deflect multiple slashes with her sword. More roots appeared and all of them were headed straight toward Erza. As she finally finished fending off Ikaruga's attacks, she landed on the deck for only a second and then moved around to avoid all of them. However, while in the air, Azuma still had his left arm pointing her direction and multiple small orbs of light appeared before him. "Bleve!" All of them exploded unto Erza and sent her sliding across the deck. She didn't have much time to recover as Ikaruga jumped to the air and dodged to the side to avoid her next slashing attack that destroyed part of the deck. After avoiding the attack, a root managed to wrap around Erza's angle and Azuma waved his arm across to fling her across the ship. He put his arm out again and countless branches sent over to Erza. "Remember my Ramus Sica!?"
Ikaruga jumped above Erza spun her body around while descending toward her. "Mugetsu-Style: Yasha-Senku!" She unsheathed her sword and both attacks struck Erza simultaneously. She screamed out in pain and crashed back onto the deck.
Seeing Erza struggle like this was amusing to Neinhart. "The Historia of one who overcame countless powerful foes. How magnetically beautiful!" A third Historia appeared between Ikaruga and Azuma and she was another powerful enemy Erza had fought in the past.
Former Tartaros Guild member and Nine Demon Gates, Goddess of the Slave Planet: Kyouka
"Behold! This is my magic! The power to conjure the very history of all your battles! Historia of Corpses!"
Erza groaned tiredly as she saw the former Nine Demon Gates member. "Kyouka…"
Azuma glanced over at Ikaruga. "So, you're dead too?"
She just smirked and giggled at him as a response. "Hush, Azuma. I shan't discuss it."
"These souls which originally had never interacted with one another, my Historia brings them together. This is the epitome off elegance and beauty!" Neinhart extended his arms apart and laughed gleefully. "Now, extend even further, Historia of Corpses!"
Insert Fairy Tail OST: Tempester
Gray and Lyon felt a strong chilling wind blowing their way. They looked at the direction the wind was coming from and saw multiple giant pillars of ice sprouting out of the ground one after another heading their way. When the final one sprouted, they saw a woman walking toward them. A woman they both knew very well. The woman who taught them Ice Maker-Magic and sacrificed her life to defeat the powerful demon known as Deliora. "Now then, it's about time I whip the two of you in shape."
Gray and Lyon's former master: Ur
Meredy was surprised to see a familiar former ally she saw die eight years ago back on Tenrou Island. "Zancrow?!"
Zancrow laughed as he smiled wickedly at Meredy. "Yo!"
Former Grimoire Heart Guild member and Seven Kin of Purgatory: Zancrow
Juvia's entire body shook in fear as to what was happening right now. "How is this possible? The dead are…"
"Have the dead been revived? Not quite." Juvia gasped as she recognized the voice behind her and knew who it belonged to.
Former Tartaros Guild Member and Nine Demon Gates, The Black Archbishop: Keyes
"This is not the same necromancer magic that simply controls the dead." Keyes chuckled at the entire situation. "How fascinating. Once memories of powerful foes that faced are manifested, returning for yet another battle."
Wendy and Chelia saw what appeared to be a large monster. At least, that's what it was to Chelia. "What is that thing?"
To Wendy, she knew who exactly it was, and he was overly excited to see her again, only to exact revenge on her for what she did to him back when they fought at one of the Faces' locations. "Didja' miss me, ya' little runt?!"
Former Tartaros Guild member and Nine Demon Gates, The Dôjigiri: Ezel
Wendy stood up and immediately went into Dragon Force. "Chelia, take Carla and run as far as you can! Hurry!"
As much as Chelia wanted to, she was still worried about the other girl's condition. "You can't be thinking of fighting that thing! You haven't even recovered from our last fight!"
Wendy glanced back at the former sky god slayer and gave her a furious glare. "I SAID TAKE CARLA AND GO NOW, GODDAMNIT!"
Chelia became frightened of what Wendy said to her and did exactly just that. She hated that she was running away, but what else could Chelia do since her magic was gone now? There was something else that worried her more. "Wendy's never snapped at me like that before. I think…I think she's getting worse."
Wendy looked back at Ezel and assessed her current condition. "My body feels heavy. My legs feel like they're about to give out and my vision…" In her eyes, her surroundings were blurring in and out. She activated Mastema but as soon as she did, the young dragon slayer felt a sharp pain shoot throughout her body. "Even using Mastema as I am now is only causing more pain." Even with all of this, Wendy had no choice but to fight and hopefully, survive.
At the boat, Neinhart smiled at what he saw inside Wendy's heart. "This one seems to have a plethora of Historia." He decided the Historia he had now was more than enough to turn the tide of battle to their favor.
Laxus looked in front and couldn't help but chuckle at the person standing before him. "Now this…this is a sick and twisted joke."
The person in front of him could only stare back at the lightning dragon slayer. "So, it's you. The one with Yuri's blood flowing through his veins."
Former Grimoire Heart Guild master and one of the four founders of Fairy Tail: Hades AKA Precht Gaebolg
Erza screamed in pain as she was tossed across the deck from Kyouka and the other two Historia and they weren't even close to being done yet. "Come now, can't you provide me with more entertainment than this!?"
Neinhart laughed in agreement. "You took the words right out of my mouth. Show me some quality entertainment! My Historia of Corpses, souls that bloom from the battlefield, go forth!"
End OST
Away from the ship, Kagura, against her better judgment, pulled Jellal out of the water and both were on a pier. She was currently out of breath and stared at Jellal while he was unconscious. This could be her only opportunity to avenge her brother's death and her hand still gripped her sword's handle. However, Kagura sighed and let go of the handle. While Erza was still fighting against her past, Kagura attempted to perform CPR on Jellal in hopes of resuscitating him and with one prayer in mind. "Live!"
Away from everyone else, Leone was busy killing as much of the enemy soldier's she could find. Right now, she was in a different part of the harbor, but her lion ears could hear all kinds of noises coming from far away. She looked at the direction where she heard what was happening. "What the hell is going on out there? I thought we were winning this thing?" While looking away, a strong sense took over her entire body and jumped away from her current position. As she did, something struck the ground the blonde previously stood, and dust kicked up everywhere. Leone landed on the ground and turned around with her claws ready and smiled at her next victims. "Alright, who's the next one to die?!" There was no response and that puzzled the blonde. And now that she thought about it, something else didn't make sense to her. "That's weird. I can't even sense their aura. There's no way these guys know how to hide it or else they couldn't have gotten the drop on me. Hell, the only reason why I avoided their attack in the first place was that my beast instinct sensed something dangerous was coming at me from behind."
The dust cloud remained and so did the silence until Leone heard a voice coming from within. "It's good to see you again, Leone."
At the instant Leone heard the voice, her heart immediately dropped. Her breathing became shaky and so did her body. "There's no way. It…can't be…"
"Hey, Leone! Long-time no see! How've you been?!"
As if the first voice wasn't enough to send Leone through a sense of disbelief, the second voice made her doubt entirely what was happening. A flood of emotions was running rampant throughout her body. The dust began to clear, and she saw two people standing within it. One was a young girl with long purple hair and wore a sleeveless lilac cheongsam. She also wore glasses and was wielding a familiar pair of giant scissors. The other was an older male wearing green armor with a black leather jacket over it and sported a familiar pompadour hairstyle. At that moment, the entire world seemed to have frozen over for Leone as she couldn't believe her eyes at who was standing in front of her. The two people she thought she'd never see again, even less so in Earthland and they smiled at her.
