A/N: Welp, better buckle up folks because these next five chapters are going to be one hell of a roller coaster. Now, onto the ninth and tenth moments.

The Assassins of Fairy Tail

Job Forty Nine: The Assassin's Reinforcements

From on top of the rocky structure where the Fairy Tail guild was, Neinhart couldn't help but sigh. "How disappointing."

Jacob glanced over in Neinhart's direction. "Something happened to those extra Historia you summoned?"

Neinhart nodded at Jacob's question. "It appears they were all defeated and even after Lady Irene enchanted."

Dimaria just scoffed at that. "For being used as a means to an end, looks they ended up being useless anyway. Still..." She gave an annoyed expression. "That lady in lavender really pissed me off."

Dimaria remembered the first thing she said to her and Brandish. "My, aren't you two just lovely? How about we get to know each other in bed later on?" She grinded her teeth at the mere thought of Merraid laying a hand on Brandish. Brandish just thought she was creepy and not cute at all.

Invel pushed his glasses up slightly. "It seems it's time to utilize our next force," He turned his attention to Esdeath. "Are you ready?"

Esdeath kept watching the battle below before glancing back at Invel. "If I may request something, I'd like to wait five more minutes. I'm still waiting for someone very dear to me to appear."

Invel didn't have a problem granting Esdeath's request. "That'll be allowed."

Esdeath smiled at Invel. "Thank you." She went back to watching the battle. In truth, she could hardly contain herself and wanted to jump into the fight right away but she knew the moment would be all the sweeter if Wendy was present. "Wendy..." Even now, just even thinking about the young dragon slayer made her heart flutter. She put a hand where her heart was and felt it beating a little quicker. "Wendy...I know we'll be seeing each other soon and when we do..." She grinned maliciously. I'll make sure to use all of my power to absolutely eradicate you! Even if you don't appear on time, I'll make sure their corpses will be the first thing you see when you arrive."

Away from the guild, Akame began to stir as her whole felt warm. She slowly opened her eyes. "What...happened?"

"Don't move. I'm not as good as Wendy when it comes to healing."

Akame shifted her eyes to Chelsea kneeling next to her with hands glowing. She was both surprised and confused by what was she doing. "Chelsea...you're..."

"Don't talk. I'm almost done here." Akame did what Chelsea told her and remained silent. The silence was awkward between them for several minutes until she was done. "Alright, there we go. It's a bit of a rough patch, but you should be to able move now." She stood up and turned away from Akame as if she wanted to avoid eye contact with the other girl.

Akame had to address what Chelsea had done. "You healed me. That's surprising since not too long ago, you wanted to kill me. What made you want to save me?"

Chelsea refused to look at Akame and sighed. "I...don't know. Truthfully, I did want to kill you while you were passed out. It would've been so easy, but..." Akame saw Chelsea slightly lower her head. "Even I did kill you, what would I get out of it? Obviously, it's not going to bring Granny and Taeko back. and... we really did share a lot of good times with each other. Besides, I'm pretty sure there's a rule where it's illegal to kill fellow guild members." She laughed sheepishly at that last part before stopping. Then she grabbed both sides of her head and yelled frustratedly. "I'M JUST SO DAMN CONFLICTED! Taeko was my friend and you killed Taeko but you're also my friend and...!" She let out another frustrated shout.

Akame understood Chelsea's frustration. She'd at least hope to at least help her with her internal dilemma. "For a short time, I did consider Taeko a dear friend before I discovered she was an enemy and the one responsible for killing Cora. In the end, we were just soldiers following orders. Personal feelings have no place on the battlefield. But that doesn't mean we can feel regret when it does happen. If things were different, we could've stayed friends. I even said that if we were to meet in another world, we can become friends. Unfortunately, that wish didn't come true." She stared at the other girl for several seconds. "Chelsea, I won't ask for your forgiveness. It's you to decide whether you'd forgive me or not. You don't have to do it now and I'll wait for your answer. If you need a distraction, try focusing on the battles we have up ahead. Maybe that'll help clear your mind."

Chelsea took Akame's suggestion to heart. "Yeah, sure thing. I think our problem pales in comparison to what our guild master is going through now." She turned around to finally face Akame. "So, until we win this thing, we'll put what we have between us on hold."

Akame smiled at the other girl and nodded. Then she felt two plush objects pressing behind her back as she was hugged from behind. "Hey, we all made it!"

"Leone?!" Akame and Chelsea spoke at the same time.

Leone smiled at the two girls as she let go of Akame. Akame turned around to face her and the two looked at each other for several seconds before Leone slightly lifted her chin and suddenly kissed her with her eyes closed. Akame's eyes went wide with shock while Chelsea was even surprised to see this. The kiss lasted for about a minute before Leone broke it off and opened her eyes still looking at Akame in a loving way. "Akame, when this whole war is over, you and me are going on a date." Now Akame was perplexed by Leone's words. "Recently I realized I... really don't know anything about you. I know your past is your business but at the same time, we're not moving forward like we're not trusting each other. Hell, I found out some less-than-stellar things about you from your friends." Akame had a very good guess as to what Leone had heard about her. "So, on this next date, tell me everything about you, and in return, I'll tell you everything about me. Although, my past isn't quite as exciting."

Akame couldn't help but smile at Leone. "It's fine. I'd like to know more about you too. In fact..." She looked over in Chelsea's direction. "Perhaps it's best we all learn about each other's past. When we have the time, of course." Chelsea slightly looked away from Akame to avoid eye contact again. Akame then looked at both girls and changed her expression to a more serious one. "Speaking of my past, have either of you noticed something strange when fighting them? Was there anything different about them?" Now that Akame brought it up, Chelsea knew what Akame was talking about. "Yeah, when I was fighting Taeko. I knew she was strong but it was weird she could keep up with me even with me using Wendy's enchantment spells."

Leone had similar thoughts. "Yeah, and that guy with the weird suit I was fighting. I hit him and I was surprised he was still in one piece."

Hearing both of those confirmed a suspicion Akame had since fighting Merraid and the others. "When you think about it, we've become stronger in this world and yet the people from our world could keep up with us even though we should've had the advantage in terms of strength. Such a thing shouldn't be possible unless..."

Now Leone realized where Akame was going with this. "Unless they were enchanted like the ones Wendy uses."

Akame nodded at Leone. "Which means the enemy has someone who is an Enchanter like her."

Hearing that reminded Chelsea of something important. "I think you're onto something with your theory. Back at Zonia, Lisanna and I fought against these two girls. We won but then they turned into swords. She said they had a personality enchanted to them and that's something anyone can't do easily."

Leone was quite baffled hearing that for the first time. "What the hell? Enchanting a personality on swords?! Someone can do that?"

"And that's not even counting the insanely huge aura I felt while I was there on the mountain. Weirdly enough, one of them vanished but..." She looked over in the guild's direction. "As soon as we arrived in this area, Leone and I sensed it among others."

Leone still shuttered at the feeling. "Yeah. I've never sensed this many powerful auras and they all dwarf Esdeath's. Obviously, they belong to the Twelve but something's weird. Right now, there're only nine which means three of them are dead. I guess that's good news for us. Then again, we fought against your dead friends which means the guy who can bring back the dead is gotta be one of the nine left. There's a chance he already brought the three that were killed back and we can't sense their aura."

Akame made a note of that. "Speaking of the Twelve, we now know most of them. Brandish, Ajeel, Badd, Dimaria, Invel, August, Bloodman, Jacob, God Serena, and finally, Irene Belserion who is said to be just as powerful as August and who holds the title 'The Scarlett Despair'. That only leaves one unaccounted and I'm sure who it is. You're probably wondering about it yourself as soon as you felt it."

At first, Leone had no idea what Akame was talking about until she finally understood. "Right, out of all the auras we're sensing, why does one of them feel like Natsu's? It shouldn't be possible for two people to have the same aura."

Chelsea just accepted the fact. "In a world where people can change the shape and size of anything, summon giant, deadly sandstorm, immortal beings, and where people can turn swords into people, two people having the same kind of aura is the least weird thing we've encountered so far." She sighed tiredly. "It's going to be fun getting to the guild."

As soon as Chelsea said that, Leone had a brilliant idea. "Hey, how about we use your Transport magic? You can teleport all of us to the guild and it'll save us the time and energy."

Chelsea instantly formed an X with her arms and a buzzer sound could be heard. "No way." She set her arms down. "I only recently got Mest's magic so I'm not as good as him with it yet. As of now, I can only teleport one person per trip."

Leone whined as she pouted. Akame patted her on the back since she thought it was a good idea. The small moment was interrupted when all three heard a huge explosion coming from the direction Natsu and the others were. They all turned in that same direction and Leone closed her eyes while taking in a deep breath before exhaling. "Well, I guess we're doing this the hard way then."

Over to where Natsu and the others were, they were still fighting the Alverez Army, and little by little, they were pushing through but they still had a long way to go. He gathered the fire in both his hands and combined them over his head. "Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!" He threw his attack at multiple soldiers and it exploded on contact.

Gray took up his usual stance. "Ice-Make: Ice Impact!" His attack struck more of the soldiers.

"Water Nebula!" Juvia sent two large water columns twisting around each other at another large group of soldiers.

"Taurus!" Lucy's spirit roared as they attacked together. "Earth-Wave!" She cracked her whip at the ground and sent a powerful rolling earth attack at the group of soldiers in front of her.

Despite how many of the soldiers they've defeated, they were always greeted with more. Gray couldn't help but chuckle at the situation. "Man, there's no end to them."

Juvia strongly agreed with Gray about their situation. "It feels like we're getting nowhere, no matter how many we defeat."

Natsu didn't care about any of that. "KEEP GOING! It doesn't matter how many there are! If we stop now, the First is finished!" His words did boost the group's morale a little.

Lucy, however, was slightly distracted by something else and she glanced back in the direction behind her. "I hope Akame is okay." She was worried about how Akame was since they had last seen her going up against her former friends. She knew the other girl was strong, but the odds were stacked against her. It's been a long while since they've last heard of her.

Natsu's team was about to resume their frontal assault when they all heard a familiar voice.

"Shadow-Make!" Natsu and the other looked back to see Akame in the air and put her hands together. She separated and raised them above her head. She then created a colossal black sword in both great height and width. "Infernal Sword of the Underworld!" She swung her sword at the Alverez army and it struck a large portion of the army as they screamed while kicking up a large dust cloud.

Akame's sword dissipated and joined Natsu and the others. Lucy and the others were overjoyed to see her again. "Akame!"

"You made it back!"

Gray smiled at Akame. "Have you made peace with your past?"

Akame smiled back at Gray and nodded. "I have and I brought along some company."

The others were going to ask who Akame brought when they saw multiple lightning bolts come striking down from the sky and struck more of the army. They all heard a tiger's roar and someone else joined them. Gray immediately recognized her. "Leone?"

Leone's new form was her body being all white with red strips and her hair was white as well. There were also two wing-like appendages protruding from her shoulders. She turned around to Natsu and the others. "Oh, Gray, Juvia! There you are. Why'd you two disappear on me?"

"You're the one who disappeared on us!"

"Devastación De La Rosa!" The group saw three large tornados made of rose petals suddenly appear and struck another sizable portion of the army. Then they all heard a boisterous laugh from within one of them and the tornados burst. They all saw a person striking a pose with a rose in his mouth. "Wherever there are beautiful girls, you can be sure that I, the Magnifico Tango, shall appear!"

Gray and most of the others had anime sweatdrops as soon as they saw Tango. "Who the hell is this guy?"

"I don't know, but he's giving me some major creeps," Lucy commented.

Natsu thought this new character was strange until his nose picked up "his" scent. "Wait, is that Chelsea?"

The others looked at him for a moment before looking at Tango with a surprised look. "Tango" turned around to look at the group and smiled at them before a puff of smoke appeared to reveal Chelsea. "Hey, guys! Sorry, we're late. We got held up for a bit." She took a second look at the group and became slightly sad. "So, Lisanna isn't with them."

Lucy was a little perplexed by what she saw Chelsea do. "Wait, I thought your magic was needles? When did you learn to copy other magic?"

Chelsea smugly smiled at Lucy's question. "First of all, it's Mimic magic. Second of all, I've always had it. The Needle magic is something to throw off my opponents. Combine Mimic magic with Gaea Foundation and you'll see my Imperial Arms magic, Gaea Foundation which means not only I can become all of you, I can use your magic too. Well, most of you. I can't copy Holder-type magic."

"So, I guess this is what Leone meant by her Imperial Arms magic suiting her better." Gray thought.

"Still..." Chelsea turned back to see the remaining massive Alverez army. "You guys are nuts if you're taking on an army this size by yourself." If anyone from the Revolutionary Army saw this, Chelsea imagined they'd be insane fighting an army by themselves.

Leone agreed but long ago accepted the crazy stuff the guild does. "Eh, what are you going to do?" She punched her fist into her other hand. "It just means it's going to be more fun plowing these clowns before we get to the First." She did have one thought in the back of her mind. "But it'd sure be nice if we had some air support."

Meanwhile, the soldiers remained unintimated by the enemy's slight increase in their numbers. "Looks like more showed up."

"We still have the advantage of numbers! Adding one or two more won't make a difference! Charge!" One of the soldiers raised his weapon and the others did the same. As soon as that one soldier did that, he suddenly dropped dead.

The other soldiers and even Natsu's group were confused as to what happened. "What happened to him?!"

"Did they attack him?"

"I didn't hear anythin-" The next soldier dropped dead and freaked out the other soldiers.

"What the hell!?"

"Who's attacking us?!"

"Wait, what's that?" One of the soldiers pointed at something sticking in the ground.

"Is that a-" The next soldier suddenly dropped dead and the next one after that and so on until they were all bombarded with a rainstorm of something small and white while screaming in terror.

While terrifying to see, Juvia and the others were confused as to what was going on. "Who's attacking them and with what?"

Leone, and the others all had the same question. Then she saw something floating down in front of her eyes. "A feather?" Then something instantly clicked in her mind. "No, no way. It can't be."

The rainstorm of feathers ceased and everyone heard a familiar voice echoing in the air. "Sky Dragon's Raging Storm!" A large sphere of wind came down from above and tore through the army before expanding and exploding, taking out more of them. As soon as the attack was over, Leone and the others saw a familiar figure with long, blue hair and large, white wings land in front of them. Leone's eyes widened in disbelief at who she was seeing in front of her.

The group saw none other than Wendy. She turned around to face them and smiled. "Hi, everyone! I'm sorry about-"

"WENDY!" Before Wendy could get another word in, Leone immediately went over to her and shoved her face into Leone's breasts while giving her a joyful hug. Wendy flailed her arms wildly while her screams were muffled. "This isn't a dream, right?! You're actually here and okay!?" Wendy couldn't give a response due to an obvious reason.

While Natsu, Happy, Akame, and Lucy were glad to see Wendy, Chelsea, Gray, and Juvia were also slightly confused. I don't get it. Leone told me Wendy was horribly injured and was practically on death's door. How is she up and around?" Gray and Juvia had the same thoughts as her.

"We apologize for being late. That light sent us far away from everyone else."

Everyone looked up and Happy looked up."Carla!" Happy exclaimed joyously.

Carla, still flying in the air, smiled at everyone. "And we're not the only ones who came."

Everyone wondered what she meant by that when heard a series of explosions and soldiers' screams. They turned around to see countless swords raining upon the enemy. "Well, it seems we're all here."

Lucy and the others saw another familiar figure descending from the sky in her Heaven's Wheel Armor. "Erza!" Everyone spoke at the same time.

As Erza landed in front of everyone and requiped into her usual armor. She smiled at her friends as she was happy to see them again. She also noticed something else, regarding Leone. "Leone..." She spoke. "Wendy isn't moving."

Leone looked down and indeed, Wendy wasn't flailing her arms anymore. She immediately separated Wendy's face from her breasts. "Ah! Wendy, I'm sorry! Don't die on me again!"

Wendy let out a loud gasp as she finally took in some air. "I think I saw Grandeeney on the other side of a river and calling me." Leone couldn't help but laugh.

While all of this was great for them, something obviously wasn't right and Gray thought to point it out. "How are you two even here?" Wendy and Erza turned in his direction. "Yeah, it's great you guys are here but last I remember, you two were the most critically injured. You couldn't even move. Leone was even upset being certain Wendy would die because of her injuries."

"Wendy was going to die!?" Lucy shouted. Even Natsu was taken aback a little upon hearing that. Akame shared his reaction.

"So, how is it you two are up and moving around?"

Wendy and Erza looked at each other before looking back at Gray. "We'll explain that later. For now..." The young dragon slayer turned her attention to the army standing in front of them. "Let's deal with these guys first." She closed her eyes. "CHANGE MODE...!" Strong winds and ice circled around her and her hair changed color and opened her eyes. "ICE SKY DRAGON!" She glanced back at Natsu. "Natsu!"

Natsu looked at Wendy slightly confused before he caught on and smiled. "I got ya!" He ran up to the other dragon slayer and stood next to her. "CHANGE MODE...!" Fire and lightning surrounded his body. "LIGHTNING FLAME DRAGON!" As soon as everyone else saw their forms, they knew what Wendy had in mind and stepped far away from them.

Over to the army, they saw Natsu and Wendy's forms. "What the hell?! Isgar wizards can do this sort of thing?!"

Both dragon slayers took in deep breaths together. "ICE SKY DRAGON'S..."

"LIGHTNING FLAME DRAGON'S..."

"ROAR!" They both unleashed their breath attacks together on the enemy army. Their two breath attacks combined into one and blasted through the enemy army. It even bypassed where the guild was. When it subsided, a crater far larger than the one Natsu made with his breath attack fighting them the first time formed.

End OST

Leone cheered as got to witness a spectacular event. "That's what I'm talking about! With all of us here, there's no stopping us!"

Chelsea was also impressed by the damage they caused together. "Okay, now I feel a lot more comfortable taking on an entire army."

Wendy and Natsu exited their forms and the young dragon slayer was very happy a personal wish of hers came true. "Ever since I could do Ice Sky Dragon Mode, I really wanted to do something like this with Natsu. It was much more powerful than I thought it'd be."

The soldiers that were still around were now terrified at what they witnessed. "What the hell!? How strong are these guys?!"

"That attack took more of us out than the first one!"

"These guys are monsters!"

Even some of the Spriggan Twelve were impressed by Natsu and Wendy's attack. "Well, it seems they've done quite a bit of a blow to us," Jacob spoke.

Invel slightly shifted his glasses up. "Indeed. It seems we cannot wait any longer. I believe it's tim-" He was interrupted by Esdeath laughing maniacally.

Dimaria raised an eyebrow at Esdeath's sudden change in behavior. "What's so funny to you?"

Esdeath continued to laugh as she could barely contain her joy. "She's here. I knew you'd come. I could never forget the attack that first defeated me." She remembered how her first fight with Wendy ended, with her unleashing her breath attack right in front of her while they were in the air and the moon shining brilliantly behind her. Just thinking about that image made her heart skip another beat. "We shall be seeing each other very shortly, Wendy."

Dimaria caught the name Esdeath spoke. "Who's Wendy?"

"A young girl Esdeath is heavily infatuated with." Dimaria turned to see Doctor Stylish looking at her. "She first found her in a tournament to find the one who she believed would be worthy of her and that happened to be Wendy."

Dimaria couldn't help but notice a very obvious detail about Stylish's explanation. "When you say young, how young?"

Stylish couldn't help but chuckle at the question. "About twelve years old, yea high, and had long blue hair."

As soon as she heard that description, Dimaria instantly remembered the kid who attacked her back in Hargeon. "The kid that sucker-punched me is the same one this woman is in love with!?" Never mind the question of how the same person survived after taking every single injury she had at once, there was a more pressing and concerning one she had. "Okay, she does know the kid is a minor, right?"

Stylish just shrugged. "Like the old saying goes: 'love is like a hurricane.'".

A cold breeze went through Dimaria as she tried to process this information and shuddered with disgust. "This woman is the lowest form of humanity. I know the kid's my enemy but this is so much worse."

While Esdeath was feeling giddy about seeing Wendy, again, Budo walked up to her. "It'd be best if you act now, Esdeath." She turned around to face him. "One of them has already departed and is headed their way as we speak."

"What?!" Esdeath's joy quickly went away and was replaced by anger. "No, Wendy belongs to me! I won't let anyone else have her!" She turned around to look at the massive army one last time before finally making her move.

Natsu and the others resumed their frontal assault on the army and they noticed a considerable difference now that Leone, Chelsea, Wendy, and Erza were with everyone else now. It was still a long way before they could reach the guild but now it felt like they could take on the entire army. While taking out more legions of soldiers, they heard a separate crash away from them and turned in the direction where it came from. "Beast Soul: Ape!" They saw Elfman arriving and taking out the soldiers in his Ape Takeover Form.

Appearing with him were Yukino, Sorano, Lector, and Frosch. "Fairy Tail! We'll lend a hand!"

"Count me in."

Gray and the others were happy to see some of their friends again and lending a much-needed helping hand. "Push them back!" They looked back to see Makarov and the rest of the guild arriving at the nick of time to help.

Among Makarov's group, Chelsea noticed a certain someone in Makarov's group. "Lisanna!"

Lisanna heard Chelsea call out her name and looked in her direction as soon as she did, she didn't wasn't time to run over to her. She stopped in front of the other girl and was glad to see her again. "Chelsea! It's so good to see you again!" Chelsea could say the same thing about Lisanna. From where she was standing, Mirajane couldn't help but smile at her younger sister's reunion.

That reunion was cut short when eight giant dragons suddenly burst out of the ground which surprised Natsu and the others. Out from one of the dragons, a person leaped out while spinning and landed on the ground before posing. "You shan't take one step further! God Serena (corpse)! A god has appeared!"

Akame instantly sensed something was wrong with their enemy standing before them. "He doesn't have an aura, which means he's the same as Cora and the others from before." It also meant to her that he must've died at some point during the war and Leone's theory was right; The three Spriggan Twelve members that did die have returned.

God Serena thrust his left hand forward. "PURGATORY DRAGON'S BLAZING HELL!" He sent a massive column of fire at the group.

Carla was surprised by the magic God Serana could use. "Flame Dragon slayer magic?"

Leone shared Carla's reaction. "This guy's a dragon slayer too!?"

To Natsu, it was a giant meal that he desperately needed. "Time to eat!" He caught the attack and immediately started to eat it happily. A notion that surprised God Serena, but didn't worry him. "Oh? Then how about..." He thrust his right arm forward next. "SEA KING DRAGON'S WATER FORMATION ENVELOPMENT!" He unleashed a powerful stream of water right next to his previous attack. The combined attacks overwhelmed Natsu and the others.

Leone was trying her best to endure the two attacks. "Come on! He can use two kinds of Dragon Slayer magic at once?!"

God Serena took in a deep breath. "STORM DRAGON'S..."

"He can still use more?!" Elfman shouted.

Gray turned to Natsu. "Who cares! Just scarf it all down!"

Unfortunately for Gray, that idea was not possible for Natsu to do. "Come on, man! Be reasonable!'

Erza now understood how powerful God Serena was and they were only getting a small sample of his power. "So, this is what the strongest mage of Ishgar is capable of."

He opened his mouth and his eyes changed color once again. "SONG OF THE WIND AND MOON!" His breath attack struck everyone and left a massive explosion after its wake. Or so God Serena thought. Just before his attack could hit everyone, it was completely destroyed. Something about it didn't seem right to him. "What just happened? My magic just vanished. No, it was crushed."

Out of the smoke, Natsu saw a large shadowy figure and when it cleared, it was revealed who it was. "Yo."

Fairy Tail's Strongest member: Gildarts Clive

"GILDARTS!" Natsu and everyone else cheered at the arrival of their strongest wizard.

Chelsea was in awe at the aura she was sensing from him. "Holy crap, the strength of his aura is insane!"

Even Leone couldn't help but shiver from excitement now that she was seeing Gildarts in person. "Aw, man. I heard he was strong but seeing him for myself in real life is entirely different."

God Serena narrowed his eyes at Gildarts while the strongest mage smiled at him. "I'm hungry as hell. I think I'll go to the guild to get a snack." His stomach growled loudly.

Gray couldn't stop smiling at seeing Gildarts again. "So, he finally came back. That old geezer is as reliable as ever, huh?"

"You can say that again" Erza spoke.

Makarov was extremely relieved Gildarts arrived while Cana smiled as she was happy to see him again. "What sketchy back alley were you lurking around in this whole, you shit-for-brains dad?"

Gildarts looked back at his daughter. "Cana..." He then immediately hugged her while rubbing his face against Cana's while being overjoyed seeing her again. "Cana, you're so friggian' adorable!"

Cana didn't share her father's feelings. "Hey, give it a rest already! Don't forget there's an enemy staring at you right in the face!"

Now that she mentioned it, Gildart's expression changed and looked over in God Serena's direction. "Oh, come to think of it, you're right." He let go of Cana and walked toward the former strongest Saint. "Thing is, I can't sense the magic power of a living human within this little punk here." God Serena took notice of Gildart's insult. "I can tell he was a formidable mage, for sure. If he were alive, he'd be a force to be reckoned with, but the way he is now..." He stopped just a few feet away from him. "He's nothing but small fry."

God Serena laughed as he went into a battle stance while smiling at Gildarts. "Blathering like a mindless idiot is common when faced with the might of God Serena of the Eight Dragons!"

Everyone prepared themselves as quickly as they could as they were going to see their strongest wizard fight the strongest mage of Ishgar. Then cold, harsh, stinging winds suddenly blew in through all of them. Lucy put her arms up to block the wind while closing her eyes. "What's with this wind?! It's so cold!"

Then everyone saw countless large pillars of ice erupting from the ground with each one pointing in a different direction from behind. Everyone saw that they were all headed toward them. The pillars stopped appearing and everyone saw these towering pillars of ice made a wall, A clear path was set in the center of the two walls with an icy mist covering it. Everyone also noticed the wind died down but somehow the air felt colder.

Juvia breathed out and her breath was visible. "What's going on? Where did all this ice come from?"

"Is it that Winter General guy?" Gray guessed.

God Serena had the same thought. "Invel? No..."

Everything was silent until they heard footsteps coming from the mist. More specifically, the clacking of heels. A sense of dread overcame Wendy and with each step heard, that feeling became heavier. She was extremely focused on the mist until she could see a shadowy figure from within it. As soon as she saw it, her breathing became quicker and her body began to shake. Not due to the cold but what she was feeling. A feeling she knew all too well. Leone looked over in the young dragon slayer's direction and quickly recognized what was happening to her. A terrifying realization occurred to her as she knew there was only one reason why Wendy was acting like this. She looked back at the mist with the same terrified expression. "No. There's no way."

Akame noticed their expressions and they quickly figured out what was frightening them. The fact they're acting like and these pillars of ice appearing can only mean..." She could feel her heart drop at the horrifying realization.

Everyone kept staring at the mist and heard the footsteps becoming louder as they came closer. Soon, they saw the figure emerge from the mist with one last step echoing throughout the air. Wendy's felt her heart stop as her eyes went wide with shock and terror and she let out a horrified gasp. Everyone saw none other than Esdeath standing before them and as soon as she saw Wendy, she gave her a loving smile. "Hello there, Wendy. Words simply can't describe how overjoyed I am seeing you again."
