The demon kept his mouth shut. The kind girl, Yaoyorozu Momo, was still with him, taking him to her home so she can take care of the poor boy.
She was astonished to see that his head, along with the rest of his body, looked like a demonic 1930s cartoon character from America. She also noticed a tail at the back of the poor lost demon. "What an unusual but stunning quirk he must have," the girl thought, looking at the demon, still silent as a rock.
The two of them stop at the foot of a very big and elegant mansion. The demon raised his head high, amazed to see how big the mansion is.
"We're here!" Momo exclaimed.
"W-whoa... b-big building!" he stuttered, loosening his hand from the girl. He took a step back, still feeling uneasy having to walk with a human.
"Hey, something wrong?"
"I-it's just... how can I trust someone l-like you?"
Momo's face was filled with confusion, tilting her head, "What are you talking about?"
"I... I... n-no! No! Why would I trust you?"
The demon trembles in fear, his mind could not believe that he is talking to a human. "I... I'm a monster..."
The girl tilts her head, then burst out a calm yet gleeful laugh.
"No, you're not."
"Y-yes I am! You a-are a human. And I'm s-something I don't even know! Don't you see it? Why would you-"
Then, the devil's ranting whereabouts were cut off by the calm and soothing voice of Momo, "You've got to stay calm, now. Trust me. You are not a monster," she then put on a warm smile which seems like it made the fearful demon calm down.
Still having second thoughts of running away, he then holds his hand with Momo one more time as they enter the mansion, like a kind lady inviting a meek child.
Momo opens the door of the mansion and steps in with the demon right behind her. Inside the mansion, its appearance was remarkably elegant and neat. The demon's black eyes seemed to glimmer a little, seeing such fabulous designs of the mansion.
"You can sit by the couch. Oh and wait here, I'll go make us some tea," said Momo as she rushes towards the kitchen along with all the groceries she bought.
The demon them sat down on the couch, as what he was requested to do. He lifted his head up, looking at the ceiling. There was a chandelier dangling around with beautiful lights. He then notices the couch's foam's softness. He lies around and starts bouncing on the couch a little then sat down again. In his mind, he thought he would be feared of, rejected, considering he's a monster. Why would the kind girl invite him into this lovely building? His thoughts were interrupted when Momo returned handling a tray with two cups and a teapot.
"I have tea!" she exclaimed.
She placed the tray on the table that was right in front of the demon. She then poured tea on both cups and took one of them then took a sip. The demon, however, slowly took the cup of tea, stared at it for a while, the takes a sip. He jerked as he felt a sting in his mouth.
"Hot! Hot! Hot!" the demon ranted as he sticks his tongue out, carefully placing the cup of tea as not to accidentally spill it.
Momo slightly giggled at the situation. "My my, you should have blown the tea first before drinking it. I gotta say, you must be sensitive in some things. I didn't even make the tea that hot."
The two sat down to their respective seats, both holding their own tea.
"So... you didn't a say what your name is. Mind if I know what it is?" the girl leaned a little bit forward, waiting for the demon to answer.
He couldn't answer. He doesn't know what his name is. He doesn't remember anything from his past.
"I...I don't know actually," the demon stuttered as he takes a little sip from the cup.
"Huh... That seems a little bit odd. Didn't your parents ever give you a name? Speaking of which, do you know where they are or where they live? Do you know where your home is?" the girl asked.
"Wh-what are parents? What's a home?"
Those words made the girl even more confused. What kind of a boy who doesn't have parents or a home to live in? Most of all, he doesn't know what a home or parents are. Momo thought to herself, "That doesn't make any sense at all. How was he even born?"
"Well... umm.. uh... do you have something you know about yourself? If you do, you can tell me."
The demon shook his head in disagreement. This made Momo question even more as to who he was. She decided to change the subject by asking if the whole rubber hose appearance was part of his quirk. Such as his pie-cut eyes. Of course she knew this was part of his quirk but conversation was definitely needed
"Oh, your eyes look cute. Is it your quirk or something?"
"Quirk? Wh-what's that?"
Not knowing what a quirk was, it just made sense to Momo, considering that he doesn't know anything about himself or his family.
"Hmmm, since you don't know what your name is, can I be the one to name you perhaps?"
The demon looked at the girl, his eyes filled with interest. The girl wants to give him a name. The demon made a small smirk, knowing that the kind girl is gonna give him a name.
"Hmm, let's see... how about Haruki? No no, not that. Oh, how about Reiji, that's a cute one.
The demon, not understanding the words she uttered, shook his head. The girl pouted and then continued to think some names.
She wanted to find a good name for him. She then took a look at the demon's features. She notices the perfect bend of the curve in his head.
"Oooh, your head is kinda bendy, that's very cute to look at. Maybe you should have a similar name to that like, maybe something American like Henry? Or..."
Bendy. That word stuck out to him, along with Henry, but it was mostly Bendy
The demon suddenly sees flashes in his eyes, visions he had never seen before. In his visions, he sees posters and each having a character of what looks like him with the name at the top part that spelled out a word Bendy.
He then snaps out of it, still seeing the girl thinking of a good name to give him.
"Bendy," the demon said.
Momo looked at the demon after she heard him say something.
"What was that?" she asked.
"Bendy, I-I'm kinda... um... fond of that word. I-i think I kinda like it a-as a name, u-unless you thought of something else..."
"Huh... Bendy. That's a pretty cute name. Well then, Bendy. You officially have a name now."
The girl gave Bendy a sweet smile and continues to sip the tea she had. Bendy then realizes that his tea had gone cold after they were having a conversation. He quickly drinks the tea and places the cup on the tray.
"I-i didn't catch your name earlier. Sorry about that. What was your name again?"
"Oh, my name is Momo, Yaoyorozu Momo."
"Oh, that's a lovely name. I like it." he complimented her.
"Aww, thank you, Bendy." Momo smiles at Bendy's compliment, which made her blush a little.
The front door suddenly opens, a woman steps into the living room. She looks a little bit older than Momo. Her face and appearance look a lot like Momo. Bendy tilts his head in curiosity, wondering who she was.
"やあ、ハニー。私は今仕事から帰りました。おお、ここにゲストがいるようです。そして、あなたの名前は若い男とは何ですか?"
Bendy gave a confused look and stares at the woman. He then scratches his head, giving a sign that he doesn't understand what she was saying.
"Oh hi, mom. By the way, this is Bendy. He doesn't know Japanese, he only speaks English."
The woman then spoke the same language as the one Bendy understands. "Is that so? Well then, hello there. Please to meet you, Bendy, " the woman smiled at the demon. He then smiled back a little.
"So, where did you two meet, Momo-chan?
"He was in the alleyway crying. I wanted to help him out so I asked what's wrong, but he got scared and took a step back, but I managed to calm him down. He doesn't have parents or a home. Oh, I was also the one who gave him a name. Bendy! Isn't it cute?"
"Well, it certainly is, " said the woman. "Poor Bendy-kun, he doesn't have a home to live in and a family to take care of."
The woman stood still and kept thinking and thinking. Bendy glared at her, not knowing about what she's thinking about.
"Aha! Eureka! I know!" the woman exclaimed and turned her direction to Bendy. "Why don't you live with us? We can take care of you here if you like. I'll prepare your room tonight, is that okay for you?"
"He'll love it, Mom. I'm sure of it," Momo then steps up and sits beside Bendy.
"Great, I'll have Bendy-kun's new room in no time," the woman leaves the living room and went upstairs. Bendy still stared at the magnificent interior designs of the mansion.
He then turns to Momo, "Ch-chan? Kun?" he asks, tilting his head with confusion.
"Oh, it's what we call Honorifics. In Japan, politeness is quite important, even in daily life, so it's very useful to know what to make of these honorifics."
"Honorifics? Huh... never heard of them," the demon chuckled a small laugh.
"You sure need to learn our language here Bendy. How about we study Japanese tomorrow? It's getting late."
The sun was setting behind all the tall buildings, making it a perfect view of Bendy's eyes as he glances through the window panes. He had never seen anything so beautiful in his first 5 hours of his life.
"Your room is ready, Bendy-kun!"
Momo's mom's voice can be heard throughout the mansion. Momo and Bendy smiled after hearing the good news.
"Come on, Bendy. Let's go see your new room," Momo stood up and Bendy followed her to a room upstairs in a hallway.
They stepped in the room and everything inside still had that elegant interior design. There's a desk just 2 meters apart from a black canopy bed. At the foot of the bed stood a big closet with beautiful designs on the handles. A mirror was hanged at the top of the desk and there are cushions and floor mats all over the floor
"It looks great, don't you think Bendy?" Momo asked as she turned her direction to Bendy. He gave a small nod, his eyes glued to the most fascinating room he had ever seen.
"I have spare pajamas for Bendy, Momo. Here, gives this to him."
"Okay, Mom. Thank you so much."
"You're welcome, honey," the woman then left the two alone in Bendy's room.
"Hey Bendy! Here are your pajamas. I hope they fit you," said Momo. Bendy then took the clothes from Momo, he tried to take of his bow and shoes but they seemed like they were part of his body, so he then still tried to put on the clothes Momo had given him, but it was way too big for him. He then used an inky substance coming out of his body shrink the pajamas.
Momo, who had seen what had happened, was fascinated by Bendy's incredible ability. "Woah, I didn't know you couldn't do that!" Momo exclaimed.
"Neither did I," Bendy added.
"Oh, it's part of your quirk!"
"My quirk?" the demon raised a question.
"Oh yeah, I haven't told you about quirks, have I?" Momo continued, "Well, you see Bendy, a Quirk is a special, superhuman ability that a person can have. Almost all the people on Earth have this special ability."
"Ohhhhh," Bendy clamored in awe. He then gave out a small yawn.
"You must be really tired, Bendy. You should get some rest.
Bendy nodded and walk towards the bed. He jumps in and lies down the comfortable canopy bed. Momo steps out of the room, giving Bendy a night light and closed the lights.
"Hmm, your quirk Bendy. It's really amazing. I also noticed that it's made out of ink."
"It is, isn't it?" said the demon.
"I think I'll call it, Ink. You like that?" Momo raised her eyebrow, waiting for the demon to give his answer. She originally was going to call it Cartoon but she figured that since 1930s cartoon were drawn with ink, and he produced ink, it would make sense
"Y-yeah, I like that very much," Bendy then dozes off to sleep.
Momo smiled at Bendy, seeing how cute he is in his sleep, then closes the room, and walks down the hallway.
Momo seems to have a little fond of Bendy, she puts on her sleeping clothes and went to bed. She was hoping for a nice dream and a beautiful morning to wake up to.
... or so she thought.
