Part 28: Three sides

A large group was currently walking between buildings and heading towards the harbor. At the front was Johnny who was holding his sword victory in his right hand and Mike was walking a little ahead of him while carrying an assault rifle. They then stopped when they reached the last building before the harbor.

"Quickly in here, we're not stopping until we reach the fourth floor," Mike said looking back at the rest of the group. They then walked into the building and headed up the stairs. They reached an empty room with windows that had a perfect view of the harbor. There were a few boats and some guards walking around. There was a person on two of them.

"Looks like they already left," Tommy said before backing away from the window.

"Their reinforcements, just in case things started going bad on the island," Owen said looking serious and Johnny looked at him with a serious look on his face. Despite having a pregnant girlfriend he didn't hesitate to come along with them on this mission. Mel did look worried when she left with Dylans group and those from Mikes group that couldn't fight.

"Just who does he really care about," he thought before Steven stood next to him.

"Any ideas?" He asked.

"Just one, Ill lift up all of their guns then the rest of you take them out, ill go down on my own," Johnny said, "Once you see them go in the air, you start shooting," he said.

"Got it," said Lily taking out her assault rifle.

"Good luck," Tommy said before Owen spoke up.

"I got a different idea, you stay here and will go secure the boats," Owen said, "Then you can just lift the others across the water," he said.

"But then he would be low on energy to fight the WLF on the island," Dean said looking confused.

"Plus we could get noticed and they start shooting us," one of the former scars said.

"Listen if they think were on their side then we can get across safely," Owen said looking calm.

"No I'm going with Johnnys plan, you sure you don't need back up," Abby said.

"No I'm good, Ive had some practice when it comes to stealth," Johnny said before heading back down the stairs and to a barricade near the boats. He then flicked his hand up and the guns went flying into the air. The gun fire started and then Johnny noticed one of the guards hide under the roof on one of the boats. He quickly ran out just as he had the boat started and jumped on board.

"What the," the man said taking out his gun before Johnny cut his head off with his sword.

"Alright were all clear," he said after looking around to make sure they were all taken down. After choosing who went in each boat they made it over to the island and thanks to a former scar they found somewhere to land without being spotted. When they reached the area near the village they started hearing gun fire.

"We need to get moving," Abby said.

"Right," Johnny said before noticing one of the former scars looking in a different direction,

"Hey Mike," he said getting the fellow leaders attention.

"Yeah, hey whats wrong," he said getting the mans attention.

"I'm sorry Mike I can't go with you, theres still something I have to do here," he said looking down.

"You still have some friends here don't you," Mike said and the man nodded.

"They couldn't leave the island when me and the others left because they still had family's here that wouldn't leave," he said.

"Maybe they're changing their minds now that their almost finished," Tommy said.

"If theres a chance to save them, I have to take it," he said.

"Not alone your not," a female former scar said stepping forward.

"Johnny, I cant let them go alone," Mike said.

"You won't have to, those who want to go with Mike go right ahead, but Im going to have to ask one of the former scars to stay behind so we know where were going," Johnny said when a male scar raised his hand.

"I can lead them," he said.

"I'm going with Mike," Abby said looking serious and Johnny nodded letting her know it was okay.

"Well if you're going then I'm going, someone has to look out for you while Mikes leading them," Owen said stepping forward and looked at the former scars standing near Mike.

"Alright looks like we have a plan, you two go with a team to help anyone who wants to get away and the rest of us will take care of Isaac and the rest," Tommy said looking serious as he held up his assault rifle.

Leo decided go along with Abby and Mikes group further into the forest. They heard some gun fire as they got closer to one of the housing areas, "There they are," a WLF soldier said before they started firing at them. The soldier was hit with an arrow before Abby shot him down. They then came across two men that had an injection. Mike and Owen shot one of them down while Leo got into a fight with the other.

After blocking a hit he then took out his knife and stabbed him in the neck, "DOWN," one of the former scars yelled when arrows shot past them. "There they are," one of Mikes men said pointing at the scars in the trees and Leo helped his men shoot them down. Mike and members of his group shot down scars that were coming from the path ahead of them.

"Not that many WLF here," Leo said as he reloaded.

"Their plan was to attack the main village first, Isaac thinks the rest will surrender if they take that place down," Owen said before walking forward. They reached a farming area and then could hear people yelling from the barn.

"Whats going on there," Leo said before noticing one of Mikes men look surprised.

"Wait I know them," he said before they noticed two guards walk to the front entrance.

"I got them," Mike said before shooting them down. The man then started running towards the barn, "Wait we don't know if its," he said before the man was shot with an arrow and fell face first on to the ground.

"No," one of the women from Mikes group said before more scars came out from a nearby house.

"Open fire," Abby said as they started shooting. After taking them down Mike went to check on the man that had been shot, luckily he was still alive. But he was groaning in pain from the arrow in his right shoulder.

"There should be some bandages nearby," the women who spoke said as they rushed across to the barn. Leo and his group keeping an eye out for more. Mike found a lock on the barn door and then broke it off with his rifle.

"What the," he said looking at the sight in front of them. There were young men and women, they had scars on their face so they knew which side they were from. They were tied up with rope and looked injured.

"I know them," the man who was shot said. One of the people tied up struggled to get out after seeing him.

"He must recognize him," Leo thought before untying him, "What happened to all of you," he said.

"Are you from the WLF," a young man said looking nervous.

"Were here to help you, he told us where to go so we can get all of you to safety," Mike said pointing at the man who had been shot.

"We got some bandages in the house," the young man said. After being freed he then ran to the closest house near the barn with a member of Mikes group.

"They didn't want us to get away so they tied us up so we couldn't escape," a young woman said looking at her wrists.

"Why would you want to escape," Abby said.

"Our friends were being executed and we knew it wasn't right," a young man said looking down.

"I'm sorry," Leo said looking worried, "Mike we need to get all of them out of here," he said and Mike nodded before taking out his radio.

"Johnny you there," he said. Then after a few seconds there was the sound of gun fire coming from the radio.

"Sorry we ran into the WLF, did you find the people," Johnny said.

"Yeah but some of them are in bad shape and not all of them look like they could fight," Mike said looking at the people that were tied, all of them looked worried.

"Alright have someone take them to the boats and back to the mainland," Johnny said before Mike heard the sound of his pistol going off, "It has to be safer then it is here," he said.

"Alright," Mike said before taking his finger off the button when Owen spoke up.

"I got a better idea, how about we forget all about this," he said and Mike looked surprised to see him pointing his gun at the injured scars.

"What do you think your doing," the man who was shot with an arrow said before Owen pointed his gun at him with an annoyed look on his face.

"Im done with all of this, the WLF and the scars," Owen said, "I have a family to look out for now and I have to make sure that monster doesn't make it off of this island," he said before taking out the radio he used to hear the WLF.

"Their moving through the middle of the island, you'll find him there,".

"Copy that, thanks for your help Owen," Isaac said from the radio making Abby look surprised.

"You didn't over hear the attack was happening today, Isaac told you it was happening," she said.

"You traitor," Mike said before Owen fired near his feat.

"You're the traitor when you turned your back on us to protect them," he said pointing at the former scars, "How can you trust him after what you saw him do to our base, he threw us around and crushed others," he said referring to Johnny.

"He was protecting us," Abby said.

"Hes a monster, but the doctor will make sure he wont be a problem anymore," Owen said lowering his gun a little and Mike yelled before punching him across the face and knocking him over. Leo quickly got the injured outside as Mike and Owen fought on the ground.

"Why didn't you go with us, we could have stopped him together," Owen said before punching Mike across the face making fall over and then started punching him.

"It wouldn't have been right, he deserved to be happy after all hes been through," Mike said before pushing him off. Then when he stood up, "Ahh," he said after being shot in the arm by Owen who had picked up his pistol.

"Mike," Abby and his group members said looking worried.

"Your finished," Owen said before Mike grunted in pain and kicked his legs from under him. He kicked the gun out of his hand and reached for his own when Owen jumped on him. The two of them punched at each other before Owen hit him in the arm that had been shot making him scream in pain before he dropped his pistol.

Owen picked it up and then screamed in pain as it was shot out of his hand. He looked to see his hand was bleeding and then looked surprised to see it was Abby who had shot him, "Abby what do you think your doing, your siding with them," he said looking at the former scars.

"Im doing whats right, just walk away from this and don't come back," she said looking calm.

"Find, have it your way then," Owen said before noticing his own pistol nearby. He ran for it making Abby look surprised, but then he got shot in the back of his shoulder with an arrow from one of the former scars.

"She told you to leave," she said before taking another arrow out. Owen looked angrily at her before making a run for it. Abby then ran over to Mike who had now sat up.

"Im sorry you had to do that," he said looking down before Abby grabbed his face and kissed him on the lips making him look surprised. She then looked at him smiling.

"Should have done that before we left," she said which made him smile back at her before he realized something.

"Johnny," he said and Abby quickly handed him his radio while a former scar started treating his wound, "Johnny, Owen set us all up they wanted us to come to the island," he said but they didn't get a response.

"Johnny," he said but they still didn't get a response which him and Abby look at each other worried. They didn't know that their warning was to late and Johnnys group had already met Isaacs team. The two groups were currently aiming their weapons at each other.
