Chapter 4: Windmill city and the Demon desert
Train cart, night, land a fire to land of wind
On a train heading for the land of wind we see a young petite girl with tanned skin and short mint green hair and orange eyes, she wears a short sleeveless white midriff shirt with fishnet armour underneath, long white armlets, and fishnet shorts with a short white apron skirt over it, a ninja headband with the symbol of the waterfall village was worn on her right arm and an orange hair clip. She was sitting with 2 other Waterfall ninjas that seemed much older than the girl.
"Why Exactly do we have to take the train? I could just fly us over to the demon desert." The girl asked.
"Because like we said we don't want you to drag any unnecessary attention to yourself."
"Besides flying from the leaf village to the demon desert while carrying us would have tired you out."
"No Way! Fū has plenty of energy Kegon, Yōrō!" The girl named Fū said. "So when we finally get to the Second exam can I finally talk to someone and make friends with them?"
"Fū this is the Chunin exam, everyone here is an enemy." The ninja Kegon said.
"Yeah I know but that doesn't mean we can't get along with each other." Fū said mostly ignoring the statement.
Yōrō and Kegon sighed holding they're heads. Fū was someone their village did not want participating in the exam. For she is the Jinchuriki of the 7 tales Beetle, well more like 6 wings and one tail. Its consider the 3rd strongest of the tailed beast with many useful traits and abilities such as the ability to fly, having very strong armor, and can create devastating wind storms. The reason she's participating is because they're village leader wanted her to have some experience with the outside world and they need a strong ninja to get far in the exam In order to boost their villages reputation. Yōrō and Kegon are Junin pretending to be Genin to watch and protect Fū because her status as a Jinchuriki is highly classified as in no one outside the waterfall village knows she holds the 7 tails.
"I think it's time to turn in for the night we need to be ready to cross the desert when we get to windmill city." Kegon said as he, Yōrō, and Fū went to another cart to head to the one with rooms. There they saw Nowaki who was holding his head in agony and an attendant was asking if he was ok as people were watching.
"Hey, what's wrong with that kid?" Yōrō said as Fū looked just as curious.
"Make it stop! Make it Stop! MAKE IT STOP!" Nowaki yelled as A powerful shockwave admitted from him knocking out everyone on the train except for Fū but she was on her knees hugging her stomach feeling an extreme discomfort before collapsing on the floor but still somewhat conscious. "What just happened?"
Now back to where we left off with Nowaki who was standing alone with Sin and Yuyake. "What do you two want, and what did you guys do to these people?" Nowaki demanded pointing his gun at Yuyake.
"To your 2nd question, We didn't do anything that was all you." Yuyake said while motioning for Sin to do something as her concealed yellow eye glowed. "As to your 1st question, we need to talk."
"I did this? How?" Nowaki said confused.
"We can get back to that after we talk about what you saw through your dimensional screen." Yuyake said
"Why the heck would I tell you what I saw?" Nowaki asked still pointing his gauntlet at Yuyake.
"Good question, why would you? But then again why would you use you're gun in such a small confined area with dozens of people knocked out." Yuyake challenged.
Nowaki realized that he was right and that using his powers on the train would hurt the people that were unconscious. "That still doesn't mean I'm going to answer your questions. We're not allies or friends." Nowaki said.
"Ohhh! Now you're gonna hurt my feelings, and here I thought we were beginning to get along." Yuyake said faked hurt. "But you know another acquaintance of mine was having a similar vision about a certain black raccoon dog. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that would you?"
"Huh!?" Nowaki said shocked. "How! Just how could you have possibly have known about that?!"
"We have someone that also has the dimensional screen or otherwise known as vibe abilities." Sin said walking up from behind. "She said she saw the Kazekage in a fight against a black version of the one tailed beast and even got confirmation that the sand village was destroyed."
"That's Exactly what I saw? What are you two doing here?" Nowaki asked putting away his gauntlet.
"Let's sit down first before continuing." Nowaki reluctantly sat down in one of the empty seats with Sin and Yuyake across from him. "We're here to observe what's going to happen. We believe that during the during the Chunin exams the sand village will be destroyed and the court wants to chronolog how it happen." Yuyake said.
"Chronolog? Aren't you going to try and stop it?"
"What reason would I have to stop it? Our orders are to not interfere only observe so sorry to break it to you Wood For Brains we ain't here to help sand people." Sin said chuckling.
Nowaki was at a loss for words "But, But you can't just let all those people die! And it won't just be them Gaara might die too!"
"Sad but unfortunately that's not our problem, The Court has no reason to interfere in this. Unless~" Yuyake said as if smiling mischievously.
"Unless what?" Nowaki asked not liking the sound of Yuyake's tone.
"I'd be happy to Personally look into it for you and let you know what I find." Yuyake offered. "If there's an unknown tailed beast out there it could be a problem later."
"So your saying you'll help me?" Nowaki said feeling surprised.
"Of course, but you'll owe me." Yuyake said making Nowaki feel flabbergasted. "What, you didn't expect me to help you for free, did you?"
"Well no, but... Wait a minute I don't have to ask you for help, I'll just go to the Kazekage himself and tell him." Nowaki said.
"Yeah, you could do that but there's a chance they might not believe you and just disregard your vision as just dreams. I mean you don't have anything other than them to go on. Like how it's going to attack, when it's going to attack, and more importantly why is there a black one tails coming to destroy the sand village." Sin countered.
"Well... I don't know ok! But telling him will at least keep him aware of what's to come." Nowaki knows that he has no evidence but he he feels he should at least tell Gaara about his vision. "By the way, what exactly is this ability? You called it a dimensional screen?"
"Yes, Although some call it mental vibe. It's a unique mental ability that allows a person to feel the Earth's electromagnetic force. This gives them the ability to read electromagnetic waves around them and see things beyond their ordinary site. For examples the ability to read possible timelines, look at other Dimensions, Peak into a person's past, or find people. However not everyone can do all 4 of them and each one of them requires a person to meet a certain criteria for the ability to work." Sin answered.
"What kind of criteria?" Nowaki asked.
"How does a control tower give and receive radio waves?" Sin asked.
"Radio towers, antennas, and mobile devices." Nowaki answered.
"Very good! Looks like the school is doing its job. Vibing works the same way, As in it needs a person, place, or thing to receive the information from." Sin explained.
"Huh?" Nowaki began to think back on his dreams. If what Sin says is true then what's been causing his dream visions is. "Are you saying someone is making me see these things?! How, Why?"
"Who knows? Maybe someone thinks you can change the outcome. " Yuyake explained. "So now that we got that out of the way what do you plan on doing?"
"Like I said before I'm going to worn Gaara about my Vibe vision and maybe he'll be able to do something about it before it happens." Nowaki explained.
"Well I guess it's worth a shot. But just incase you change your mind the offer still stands. We'll be observing things." Yuyake said.
Nowaki was confused. Why tell him this? He could blow the whistle on them. Do they expect him to need there help? Will he? He wasn't even 50% sure of what will happen so. ".I'm not saying I'll need your help but... How will I able to contact you?"
Sin looked amused as Yuyake answered. "I'll send you an anonymous text with a number so you can call me."
"Fine." Nowaki said feeling apprehensive. "Now, How about telling me what happened to these people, what did I do to them?"
"Do you know what Haki is?" Sin asked getting a no. "They are known as Spiritual skills, Special abilities that are born within a person's soul through desires. There are 4 in total. Observation, Armament, Latent, and Conquers."
"What does each one do?"
Sin cough to clear her throat as she began to explain. "Observation Haki, This gives a person a sixth sense and special vision that allows you to see people's auras."
"So It's kind of like the Sharingan?"
"Yes, next is Armament." Yuyake said showing his hand before closing it Entering it into black steel. "This Haki allows you to Control the density of your spirit energy making it as hard as steel, It was originally a defensive skill but has evolved into a very powerful offensive weapon."
Nowaki Wouldn't admit it to him but that sounds pretty cool.
"Next is Latent Haki. It's a very special one, kinda like a last resort that only activates when it's user is in a difficult situation. For a short time they're given an extra boost of power, But it's hard to control and it can't be used constantly." Sin explained. (Think of it as Blaze, Torrent, and Overgrowth.)
"And lastly Conquers Haki the one that you used. It's another rare one, It allows you to assert your will upon others, Meaning you can subjucate beast and make people of weaker will than you faint." Yuyake said explaining the last one.
"So I can make people faint? How do I control it?" Nowaki asked. As cool as it sounds Nowaki was worried he could seriously hurt someone with this ability seeing how he knocked out everyone in the cart.
"That's up to you." Yuyake said as he and Sin got up preparing to leave. "But If you want some advice play around with it. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually. Later!" Yuyake said disappearing in a blank of an eye.
"Ok! Just how the hell does he keep doing that!?" Nowaki demanded.
"It's a spirit technique, If you want to know more about it ask Emilio." Sin said as her yellow eye stop growing. "That's enough for now, but I think we're going to be seeing more of each other in the future. See you around, and also deal with the little eavesdropper." Sin said pointing behind Nowaki.
Nowaki looked behind him only to see an unconscious girl. He turned around to see that Sin was now gone. "Crap, crazy girl went and tricked me." He said thinking he was tricked not noticing Fū lifting her head up slightly as he left the cart not wanting to be there when everyone woke up.
Fū just looked at the direction that Nowaki went and look back at her two companions that were still unconscious. "Maybe if it's just for a little while."
The Next day, Windmill City
Nowaki and Emilio exit the train station to see a very modern city that had lots of giant windmills and tons of random small shops with people advertising tourist to come in and buy something. There are lots of fountains And they could see from a distance there was a magnet trolley stations.
"Wow! This place looks just as big as Ember City!" Nowaki said amazed. "So what do we do now Senpai?"
"Well we're going to go to an inn to check in and then have a quick interview with the Kazekage at his secondary home in Windmill. After that we can do whatever we want until Tomorrow then we make our way to the demon desert which should be just an hour and a half away. Will see who all are still in the exam and see if we can interview them." Emilio explained before he noticed a very Very large white cloud moving over the city before completely passing by. He noticed the direction it was heading was to the land of Earth. "Hmmm. That feels quite worrying, wonder where it is they're going?" Emilio said seeing that it wasn't just some cloud.
"So we're going to go see Gaara?" Nowaki said feeling this was just the opportunity he was looking for. He can meet with Gaara and tell him about his vision. "Ok then! Let's go get settled in and go see the Kazekage!" Nowaki yelled running off.
"Wait! I didn't say which Inn we're staying at!" Emilio said running after him. But unknowingly to them they were being followed.
Somewhere out in the desert
Out in the desert there was a hunchback man wearing a black cloak with red clouds who was waiting inside a cave. A few minutes later someone else enter the cave wearing the same cloak but with a hood instead. "Your late Larxene, Everyone knows that I hate waiting on people." the hunchback man said.
The figure took off their hood to reveal a girl with light skin and short blonde hair with twin tails that look like antennas. "Geez, Ever the inpatient one Sasory, I can't help I wonder how you and Deidara work well together." The woman known as Larxene said.
"We don't, in fact I'm happy that I'm doing this mission separately from him. He's way too flashy." Sasory said.
"You happy? And here I thought you were just a natural born grinch doll man!" Larxene said Laughing a bit until a metal tail almost pierced her neck but stopped with yellow sparks. "Ok, no need to get so violent."
Sasory retracted his tail before turning towards the cave. "Let's move."
"So what exactly are we looking for in there?"
"A weapon that was started by the 3rd Kazekage and nearly completed by the 4th. I was once part of the it before I left." Sasory explained.
"What kind of weapon is it?" Larxene asked now curious.
"Just follow me, I assure you that you'll be more than speechless."
Windmill city,
Back with Nowaki he and Emilio were interviewing Gaara who was with Kankuro and two other sand ninjas.
They questioned mostly on the progression of the Chunin exams "So the second exam will be similar to the forest of death but in the demon desert?" Emilio asked getting a yes from Gaara. "And will there be a month break for the finals?"
"That all depends on how the second round goes." Gaara answered. "Anymore questions?"
"Yeah, when to get this sweet house?" Nowaki asked seeing how good the house is. Unknown to everyone he was It's using technoknises.
"It was my mother's house, She used to live here before moving to the hidden sand." Gaara said before looking at his phone to see he got a text message.
After a few more questions the interview was over and Emilio and Nowaki left the house. "Hey Nowaki, I need to go back to the inn to go over my notes. Do you mind going out for a little while?" Emilio asked.
"Sure, I was just thinking about doing that. How long do you need?" Nowaki asked.
"An hour or two. Try not to get into trouble." Emilio said before leaving.
Nowaki now alone went to the back of the house where he saw Gaara waiting. "Hey are you the real Gaara or a sand clone?"
"A clone, Kankuro wouldn't just let me do a private meeting like this. So is it that's so important that you couldn't say it at the interview?" The clone Gaara asked.
"Well what I'm about to tell you will sound pretty crazy, but just believe me when I say it's a matter of life or death." Nowaki said when suddenly sand coiled around his risk.
"Its a precision. This will allow me to know if you're telling the truth." Gaara said.
"At least this way you'll know I'm not crazy." Nowaki said not minding the sand around his waist. He began to explain his vibe visions as best he could. How the Sand village was destroyed and how Gaara fate was unknown. "So do you believe me?" Nowaki asked hoping he does.
Gaara looked a bit shocked. His sand could tell he wasn't lying and what he said about Black Shukaku made him think back to a certain secret document that he saw when he became Kazekage. "Thank you for telling me this information, I'll be sure to handle it."
"Wait, what do you plan to do about it?" Nowaki asked.
"That's not for you to be concerned about, you're a guest here in the land of winds and this is the sands problem. I'll have my people look into this and handle it accordingly." Gaara said turning away. "But If you have another vision involving the matter feel free to contact me." And with that the sand clone reverted back to being mere sand.
Nowaki was flabbergasted not expecting this kind of response. But ultimately there wasn't anything more he could do. He told Gaara what he saw in his visions and he said he would take care of it. As a ninja of the Leaf village he can't really get involved without further permission and he still has no idea what causes those events to happen. So for right now it's out of his hands. "Well... I guess I'll just enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city."
Nowaki went to a few tourist spots and came across a blimp ride that gives an overview of the city. Thinking this would help clear his thoughts Nowaki got on.
Looking down at the city below Nowaki leaned on the railing thinking about what all has transpired so far. He was so distracted that he didn't notice someone sneaking up behind him. Before he noticed and could react he felt someone put their hands over his eyes. "Guess who?" Nowaki heard mentally and smiled.
"I didn't think I run into you here Sveta." Nowaki said turning around to get kissed by Sveta who was wearing a black one piece suit and purple poncho with a hood attached. She looked mostly the same with her height the same as his. After a few minutes they finally separated. "So when exactly were you going to tell me that you were entering the Chunin exams? I mean I've haven't seen you in a while."
"Sorry about that, I didn't really have a lot of time to talk considering the preliminary race started moments after the 1st exam, me and my team just got her last night." Sveta said.
"You got here last night? how?" Nowaki asked.
"One of my teammates used their summoning to bring us here." Sveta answered.
"Oh. Well since we're both here why not spend the rest of the day together." Nowaki said.
"I was hoping you say that." Sveta said.
Secret Cave in the Desert
Sasory and Larxene were Is walking further down into the cave cave until they reached a dead end with a Japanese symbol on the wall for luck. "Unsael!" Sasory yelled as the wall broke apart. They continued on and soon entered a large room with many Metal stone pillars And at the center was a giant pot with the symbol for iron. "Good its still here, It looks like no one had the sense to move it after Rosa's death, fools."
"What is all this?" Larxene asked curious.
"The most powerful weapon the sand village every created. A man made tailed beast, Black Shukaku." Sasory said as the lights came on. "It was created to subdue Shukaku If it ran wild or replace it if the sand village lost it."
"Black Shukaku? What makes this thing so different?" Larxene asked observing the pot.
"The same abilities as the original but unike the Shukaku it's made of iron sand that makes it stronger and more durable, It has stronger lightning release, and a powerful secret weapon."
"Ohhh! A secret weapon. Now I'm really curious, So what is it?" Larxene asked.
"Why spoil the surprise? Just know that It'll be the reason why Gaara will never be able to beat it no matter how hard he tries." Sasory explained. "Now that should be enough questions, It's time to get this thing ready. This is where you come in Larxene, It's gonna need a lot of electrical energy. Start charging those pillars."
"Fine." Larxene said before gathering electricity in her hands and firing at one of the pillars which began making an electrical chain with the other pillars. "How long will this take?"
"About 24 hours, maybe a little bit more than that." Sasory explained getting a 'What?!' from Larxene. "You'll be allowed to take breaks so no complaining."
Windmill city, Night time
Nowaki and Sveta were having a nice stroll through the park which was pretty much empty. They talked about a lot of things mostly what they've been up to recently, and Nowaki finally got an explanation for what happened to twilight city and Naruto.
"So the hidden Rock Village attacked your two cities and village, Why?" Nowaki asked shocked. They sat down on a bench to talk farther about it.
"I can't go into full details but the situation is being handled." Sveta said. "So, you were having dreams about the Sand village being destroyed, and you saw Yuyake and Sin?"
"Yeah, I told the Kazekage about the visions and he said he believed me, but he told me to stay out of it." Nowaki explained.
"Well you did do what you were supposed to do and warned him and he said he'll take care of it, so everything should be ok for now." Sveta said trying to be supportive.
"Yeah it just I can't help feeling that there might be more that I can do." Nowaki said.
"Are you hoping to have another vision?" Sveta inquired.
"No! I hate having visions, nothing good ever comes out them, and it makes me feel like I'm going nut." Nowaki said not liking this vibe ability.
Sveta decided to change the topic. "Hey Nowaki, What's this other thing you were hoping to talk with me about?" Sveta asked.
"What do you mean?" Nowaki asked remembering saying something like that.
"I can read your mind, and one particular thought is centered around Xion I think the girl's name is?"
Nowaki then finally remembered and now had a nervous blush. "Oh! Well about that. You see Sveta me and Xion kinda went on a date a few days ago and we sort of kissed and... So sorry!" Nowaki said bowing his head apologetically. He closed his eyes waiting in for whatever punishment Sveta would do only for it not to come. He looked up to see Sveta with a confused look.
"What are you apologizing for?" Sveta asked.
"Aren't you mad? I kissed another girl?" Nowaki said confused too.
"You went on a date with another one of your mates and it sounds like you had a good time her." Sveta said not feelings angry at all.
"Ahhh... Are you ok with me dating other girls?" Nowaki asked.
"Well not just any girl, I saw in your head that she's a very nice person. So don't worry about it too much Nowaki I don't mind you having a Harem so long as you still love me." Sveta finished while giving Nowaki a kiss on the cheek for reassurance.
Nowaki feels kinda embarrassed for worrying so much. "Your too good to me, Savvy girl." Nowaki said before leaning in to kiss Sveta.
Before they could Nowaki felt somewhat drowsy with a slight headache. "Oh No! Not again! Not Now! Sveta! "
Sveta hearing his thoughts quickly caught him. "Nowaki? Nowaki what's wrong?" Seeing that he is unresponsive Sveta could only guess this is him having another vibe version. "Well, the less I can do is move you somewhere safe. I hope you see something nice for change." Sveta said before turning around slightly to look up at a tree. "Who ever you are I don't send any hostility but I advise you not to follow us."
Gaara's house, night time.
Gaara just finished telling his siblings about Nowaki's vision as it was just the 3 of them. Both of them had mixed feelings to say the least.
"You don't actually believe him, do you? We already investigated this black Shukaku thing and came up with nothing." Kankuro said. When Gaara became Kazekage they found a file on a black Shukaku project and investigated on a possible existence but found nothing.
"I used my sand to wrap-around his wrist and he was being 100% honest. Also there's still the person that ordered the assassination on me two years ago, we still never found out who it was." Gaara said to Kankuro.
"About that I still think it was planned by someone outside the village using the ninja that still hold hostility towards you." Kankuro said.
"Baki Sensai thinks that it might be someone from the Capital of the Wind County. There's no evidence to support it but I think hes right on this." Tamari said. She wasn't sure about Nowaki's visions but she's not going to flat out dismiss it either. "Someone higher up is definitely out to get you and maybe even the village."
"The Wind County is changing, it's no surprise that some people may think the sand village isn't necessary anymore. Is someone in the capital Means to destroy us and the Diamyo wouldn't really care which means we're most likely on our own." Gaara said.
"I'm not sure who I blame more for this. Our dim witted Diamyo for relying too much on other ninja villages other than his own country's, or our father for making the situation even worse by working with that double crossing snake Orochimaru." Kankuro said feeling frustrated. sure the culture change did affect the sand's economy a bit but they were still managing well. But after the failed invasion that was unsanctioned It put them on bad terms with their Diamyo. "So what do we about this? Should we cancel the exams until we see if this Black Shukaku thing is true or not?"
"That would be for the best but we already gathered so many people here, telling them to go home like this would be suspicious and could lead to an uproar." Gaara said deep thinking.
"I think we should at least let the participants reach the demon desert so they can stay at the rest area like It was planned. Then we should send a team to that cave where the Intel said black Shukaku is and see if anything's different." Tamari suggested.
"That's a good start. Go and inform Shikamaru, Koinzell, and Araya about this. Kankuro go send a message to Lady Tsunade and also tell her about the situation and see if he can send reinforcements." Gaara said getting up and started walking to the door while taking out his phone.
"Who are you about to call Gaara?" Tamari asked.
"Alex and two old friends, If worse comes to worse It's best to have Something done before it happens." Gaara said before dialing some numbers.
Somewhere at the Wind capital
Two men were having a meeting completely alone.
"You are Certain that this can't be traced back to me?" A man wearing a white robe said. He had white skin, a bald head with a small ponytail as his only identity of hair which was gray as well as his thin mustache and goatee.
"Of course Councilman Unin. Just make sure that the money is deposited into this bank account." A man with tan skin Amber like eyes and white long hair wearing a zebra like business suit. "Before we continue may I ask why do you obsessively try to assassinate Gaara? I thought it was his father that you hated."
"I do, and it's not really personal with Gaara but he's way too much of a physical threat and with the way he is now he'll become a political threat especially with his connection with Alexander. It's rumored that he may soon start an Is uprising and detrone the Diamyo, I can't have the sand village that's already indebted to him joined his side." The counselman said.
"You must be really loyal to the wind Diamyo to work behind his back like this." The zebra suit man said.
Unin just left at this statement. "No, not really. I just want someone who is easily persuadable In charge. There's no guarantee that I'll still have my position. So this is just me protecting my interest."
"I thought so." The other man said before getting up. "Well then I say this meeting is over. I not make any political moves for a week or 2 when the job is done. Don't want anyone to be suspicious."
"You just make sure that you're two assassins succeed, and I'll handle my business." Unin said disregarding his warning.
"Wait? What?! What's all this?!" Nowaki said seeing all of this through his Vibe vision.
The Next day, Windmill City, Near evening
Nowaki woke up in the inn that him and Emilio rented.
"Was that a dream or another vision? Wait? How did I get here?" Nowaki asked no one before looking at the clock that said 5 o'clock PM. "Oh Kami! How long have I been asleep!" Nowaki said panicking.

Hey everyone sorry this took so long. But then again I feel like I'm apologizing too much, finding time And energy to write Can be troubling sometimes but I am working on my chapters constantly.
I gave an Explanation on the 4 Hakis, It was going to be 5 but I was literally having headaches trying to figure out a 5th one. Is the 4th one called latent haki It's pretty much as I explained blaze, Torrent, and overgrowth. Like a second wind of energy coming from within making you stronger sir if motivated enough enough or if your life is in danger, Kind of like the avatar state. Meaning if mastered one could use it subconsciously.
As for the story Things are getting very interesting and political too. With so much time spent can Nowaki do anything to help Gaara and the sand village? Keep following and commenting because it keeps me motivated. Also we're finally gonna get into some real fighting because labecause lately it's been more talking and fighting with this story so far.
