"Your grandmother?" Father Maxi exclaimed in shock. "How is that possible?"
"I don't know! Butters exclaimed. "But it all makes sense. Why she relentlessly picked on you even when you've had enough. She just doesn't want to break you...she wants to watch you do it slowly, and then break your shards so you can never pull yourself together...just like she does with me."
Father Maxi's eyes widened. "So that's why you were upset? Because of your grandmother?"
Butters nodded. "She even threatened my girlfriend, that I can't stand for. I have to stop her."
He stood up but Maxi grabbed his arm.
"Butters, please no." he begged. "She might hurt you, you can't suffer the way I did!"
"I have a right to be happy in this life!" Butters replied with determination. "I can't end up like you Father. I have a choice...and you did too. But I choose to fight back and face the consequences. I have to stop her...for my sake...and yours."
Maxi's eyes softened. "O..OK my child. Just don't get hurt out there." He rubbed his hand along Butters' hair "Or I'm gonna run fresh out of friends."
"I promise." Butters hugged him once more and hurried out of the hut.
Now more than ever he knew what he had to do. He was going to fight back...with his friends.
He pulled out his phone.
Charlotte was pacing the floor left and right just worried sick about her boyfriend.
Her inner thoughts were interrupted when she heard a knock on the door. She answered it and saw Butters standing nervously before her.
"Butters!" she cried as she embraced the boy. "You're all right!"
"I know," he replied grimly. "But I'm still far from safe."
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"I think we need to fight back..." he slowly muttered. "Against my granny."
"But how are we going to do that?" she asked. "If we get the police involved she'll hurt you even more!"
"By forming a plan." he replied. "Call as many people as you know and we'll meet up at Carl's Warehouse."
"OOH" she exclaimed. "Can we tell them we'll have punch and pie? Most people will come if there's snacks involved!"
"...Sure." Butters replied. "Get the word out to everyone in school...this ends tonight...or tomorrow. We'll see how this all works out."
