Invisible String
Chapter 2
Authors note : Let me know what you think my readers. I needed a break from the fandom but i'm back now.
Peyton looked at herself in the mirror. She had arrived at Clothes over bros early. She was trying on various wedding dresses that Brooke already had in stock.
Brooke opened the doors earlier then other customers were allowed in.
"The sketches you drew were incredible. But are sure you want to dedicate time to designing my wedding dress.?" Peyton asked.
"You're my best friend. I'm not working on anything else fashion related. I would be honored." Brooke proclaimed.
...
"You working on you're best man speech yet.?" Lucas asked.
"Not yet. I'll get to it. So let's talk. Brother to brother."
"How ready are you to get married. I know how seriously you view love and commitment."
"Are you having any doubt.?" Nathan asked.
"Why would I. Peyton and I. Have been together long enough for there not to be any questions." Lucas replied.
"So there hasn't been anymore kisses with Brooke.?" Nathan questioned.
"No and there isn't going to be. We're friends. Nothing more." Lucas stated matter of fact.
...
Brooke sighed deeply. Stretching as she looked out the nearby window. She had spent hours sketching ideas for Peyton's wedding dress and she hated each design.
This was impossible. When designing a wedding dress especially for her best friend should be easy and fun.
She put down her sketch pad. Relieved for a distraction.
With knocking at her front door.
Brooke piled herself off the floor and headed towards the entryway.
She was wearing a red sweatsuit. Comfortable and cute.
Brooke unlocked and opened her front door slowly.
"Lucas. Do you need me for something regarding the wedding or is this more personal.?" Brooke asked.
"It's personal. Can we talk inside.?" Lucas replied.
Brooke smiled moving aside as he entered her home.
She closed the front door after him.
"I just want to check in and make sure things between us are okay."
"You being apart of our wedding won't be uncomfortable right.?" Lucas questioned.
"Why would it be.? My two favorite people are getting married."
"The way it's supposed to be." Brooke replied.
"I want you to be happy Brooke. You deserve that."
"The love and family you've been looking for. Is out there. I know it." Lucas proclaimed.
Brooke swallowed hard. "I love you Lucas Scott."
"We've gone through alot together." She replied.
"I love you too Brooke Davis. You've been the biggest support system. A person could ask for." Lucas said.
