In a hut far atop a snowy mountain in the Nature Universe, a white tigress beastman in seer clothing was meditating, then a snow leopardess beastmen walked in.

"Es… I'm afraid I have some bad news." the leopardess said. "It's Master Theodore, he… He never came back from the Darkness Universe."

"Yet another master has fallen. That makes it the 10th one now…" Esmeralda said in a sigh.

"Don't say that, Es! We don't even know for sure if he is dead." the leopardess said.

"But it could very well be the case, Glace. After all, my mere existence brings misfortune onto others." Esmeralda said. "But… That will all be over soon. Once I have attained the necessary souls, and offer them up to our goddess, I will become immortal, and I'll finally be free from this curse."

"Es, please stop with this. There's no reason for us to keep going with this. Wouldn't people's lives be better if we just stayed away from man's affairs?" Glacia asked.

"Are you saying you'd rather let Theodore's killers go unavenged? You remember your tears from when your master died, did you?" Esmeralda asked. "The people that killed my masters… They don't know what it's like to suffer this pain over and over and over and over and over and over again! Mankind never concern themselves with the pain of others, only doing what conveniences them. They need a firm hand to guide them through these darkened times. Just think about it, Glacius. We do this one thing with three more souls, and our days of misfortunate and getting picked off the streets will be over."

"I understand what you're saying, Es. Really, I do. But…" Glacius started before Esmeralda strokes her head and she purrs.

"There, there, Glace. There's nothing to worry about. As long as I'm right by your side, you won't have to worry about a thing." Esmeralda said as she keeps petting Glacia. "So… You was responsible? Who killed Theodore?"

"Like I said before, we don't know for sure if Theodore is really dead." Glacia said.

"In that case, I should rephrase the question. Who's responsible for Theodore going missing in Infernity Tower?" Esmeralda asked.

"The Royal Knights, along with two girls and one boy." Glacia said. "Mayumi Kirishima, Sachiko Yukimura, and...David Ishihara."

Esmeralda growled lightly at this.

"Um… Es?" Glacia asked.

"Ishihara… Why…? Why did it have to be him?" Esmeralda asked.

"Do you...know him?" Glacia asked.

"Not personally, but… I have heard about him. As a seer, I have the power to look into the future and foresee events unfolding." Esmeralda said. "Brainiac's Invasion, Zemus' rise to power, the rise of the Titans, the Digitization of Tokyo, Galeem and Dharkhon's clash between Light and Darkness, Odin's conquest… All of which are events that I have forseen, and yet, they never came to pass because of his constant interference."

"But, that's supposed to be a good thing, right?" Glacius asked.

"One might think so, but it's because of it that my powers are beginning to dwindle with each instance. I can't even foresee long periods of time anymore. It can only stretch to about a year forward at most." Esmeralda said. "And then… I forsaw it. Master Theodore, at the top of Infernity Tower, his hands on what he desired most. But… Ishihara snuffed that vision out again."

"May I remind you that Theodore isn't the most moral of men." Glacia said.

"That is true, but unless balance is maintained, fate can never be set back to its proper course. A world where we will be further prepared for the threats that plague the balance of all universes. That is the vision that I have so wished to fulfill. But… Ishihara, his penchant for defying fate makes him a serious threat to that vision. As long as he exists, fate no longer has a proper course. Humanity does not have the means to decide fate for themselves. They make their decisions based on emotions, which only makes things worse. They must be set in a proper direction." Esmeralda said.

"I agree, but where will we even find them? They're never in one place for too long." Glacia said.

"Before we can see if they can be gauged as true threats, we will have to ascertain their powers for ourselves." Esmeralda said. "As it just so happens, the Olympics are set to occur in Tokyo in a few months. And knowing Ishihara, he'll be wanting to compete in it."

"You are certain? As I'm sure you know, only the best of the best can compete on a stage like that." Glacia said. "Not only that, but there are events that require large teams. I don't think we'll be getting an in-depth view of their abilities if it's just the two of us. We'll need to assemble a team of our own. We've got a lot of ground to cover."

"Then let's get recruiting then, shall we, Glace?" Esmeralda asked.

"Of course." Glacius said with a bow as she left.

"The Olympics...one of the biggest sports competitions in all the worlds, if not the biggest." Esmeralda said to herself. "It may seem like a friendly competition, Ishihara. But be warned. Afterwards, I'll be waiting for the chance to sink my teeth into your soul, which will serve as the foundation for my new world…"
