Leaving Sara's car in the lot at CSI they drove to pick up Hank as they told Brass they where going to do. The plan was to take him home and Grissom was debating on asking the question he had for Sara not sure if now was the right time to ask her. At a red light he looked over at Sara to find her asleep. This morning sickness was taking its toll on her that was for sure he felt sorry for putting her in this spot but he knew what she would say that it was both of them that made this happen not just him. In his head he knew she was right but his heart was the one that made him feel guilty. As he pulled up to the dog sitters house he made up his mind. He did not care what anyone thought and he hoped Sara would get that he was not asking because they made a baby together. In fact he had been wanting to ask her for a couple weeks but finding out she was pregnant put a hold on that for him. He never thought he would ever might someone he would want to marry let only have a family with. He thought that no one would understand the job and his hobbies. Heck Catherine worked this job and still did not understand his love of bugs. Then he meet Sara and that all changed. She had too many question but he loved the few days he had spent with her outside of the school. When he asked her to Vegas to help with the Holly case he was telling himself he did not have feels that it was nothing. And that worked for a little bit then she asked him to dinner and his heart was telling him to say yes but his mouth said the words that hurt her more then she let on. When she told him about her childhood that got some of that closeness back and he hoped it was not too late. When Nick went missing and was later found he told his brain to shut the heck up instead going for what his heart wanted. It worked out great for him as he was not too late but to tell the truth he never thought he would be and he loved the last two years. Sure they had fights but never about his hobbies. Sara understood them and wanted to learn more she did draw a line at going to the body farm though. When he pulled into the driveway he went around the car to open Sara's door he had to ask her before he lost his nerve to do so. And just like he thought Hank had waken Sara up to and she was getting ready to open the door.
Looking at her Grissom smiled. He loved the way she looked fresh from a nap even a short one. He blurred the words out so fast he thought that Sara did not hear them. Heck if you asked him later he would not be able to tell you what he said.
-Sara's POV-
Sara had been woke up by Hank and Grissom opening her door. She was not ready for the words he would say next but had to smile when he said them. But to make sure she heard them right she asked him to repeat them.
"Sara I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?"
"Yes." There was no question in Sara's mind that he was asking because she was having his baby. In her heart she knew he would ask anyway at same time. And the way he asked told her that.
With that being said they took Hank in the house and Grissom placed the ring that he had in his pocket on Sara's hand. All the way to the diner neither could get the smiles off their faces. It was going to be fun to play with the team.
"I don't want to out right tell the team that I am getting married to you and that you are the father of my baby. Lets have a little fun with it and see who asks us questions first." Sara said a plan already forming in her head. Grissom agreed and with a quick text to the four who know about them it was set.
