Kim Possible: The Sitch Of College: Year's End
Chapter 4: Cupcake Rush
Kim and Ron as well as Hope, Marty, Monique and Brick were walking over to where Drew and Shea said they were opening their new cupcake shop.
"Thanks for coming with us, Guys," Ron said to Hope and Marty appreciatively.
"Hey, no problem, Ron," Marty said with a smile. "I've worked up an appetite for cupcakes today."
"So did I," Hope spoke. "Studying can really take it out of you."
"It sure can," Kim groaned.
"I hear that girl," Monique groaned.
"Ditto," Brick agreed.
"I still can't believe your former arch foes are opening a cupcake shop here," Marty commented.
"Yeah, me neither," Kim spoke. "They've really been doing well for themselves ever since they went straight."
"And started dating," Hope added.
"And got married," Ron added. "Just like we did."
Kim smiled and chuckled.
"Yeah, I still can't believe that these are the same guys who you always used to fight back in high school," Brick commented. "And one year after I graduated they helped you save the world from aliens."
"Believe it," Ron spoke.
"But they are certainly not our enemies any more," Kim spoke.
"Well, that's certainly a good thing," Monique said.
"Yeah, I'm glad I met them after they went straight," Marty commented.
"Me too," Hope added.
"Hey, Guys," a new voice came.
The others turned to see Sophie Rhodes running toward them.
"Hey, Sophie," Kim greeted. "You wanted to come to the grand opening as well?"
"Yep, I've been in the mood for a cupcake for a while," Sophie answered.
"Sounds great," Kim said happily.
They were unaware that just around the corner, Giselle was following them as she activated a cloaking device.
Gemini was sitting at his desk when he soon heard a button on his desk beeping.
"Yes," said Gemini as he answered.
"Gemini," Agent Zeta's voice came. "Our agents are standing by to infiltrate GJ Headquarters. But once they're inside that'll just be the easy part. They'll have to be extra cautious in order to retrieve the plans and escape without being detected."
"Understood, Agent Zeta," Gemini nodded. "And keep very close eyes and ears on the bug for any information it may pick up. Because based on what Senior reported to me recently, my sister may have certain information about Miss Rockwaller that she's not willing to divulge."
"Understood, Sir," Agent Zeta replied. "Over and out."
Gemini sat back in his chair and gained a thoughtful expression.
"What Senior said his informant found out is very interesting indeed," Gemini said to himself. "Miss Rockwaller vanishes off the face of the earth and not even Team Possible knows where she is. What information could my sister be withholding?"
Kim and Ron were standing behind a big red ribbon in front of a large building with a big picture of a cupcake just above the entrance. Standing beside them were their former arch foes, Drew Lipsky and his wife, Shea. Sophie, Marty, Hope, Brick and Monique were standing in front of the ribbon watching them with the crowd. Ever since they got married, they have been spreading their cupcake franchise around the United States. And like Wade had informed Kim and Ron, Drew and Shea decided to open another cupcake shop in the very town where Kim and Ron were going to college. And now Kim and Ron were about to cut the ribbon with a pair of scissors they were both holding in their hands.
"Ladies and Gentleman," Drew announced. "I and my lovely wife, Shea…"
Shea chuckled at that.
"...along with our dear friends and former arch foes, Kimberly and Ronald Stoppable welcome you to the grand opening of Hank's Gourmet Cupcakes. Kimberly and Ronald, you may cut the ribbon when ready."
Kim and Ron complied and cut the ribbon before they were given a thunderous round of applause.
Kim and Ron turned to Drew and Shea.
"Thank you and Shea for inviting us here, Drew," Kim spoke with a smile.
"Oh, don't worry about it, Kimberly," Drew spoke.
"Yeah, Kimmie, it's the least we could do," Shea added.
"Well, let's go inside," Drew spoke. "And for today only, cupcakes will be half off."
Kim and Ron smiled and said in unison, "Thanks, Drew."
Their friends soon joined them as they went inside along with the rest of the crowd.
Giselle, who was watching this, gained a thoughtful look.
"Senior had told me that, Shego, as they used to call her, had a bit of a temper," she thought to herself. "Perhaps I could use that to my advantage."
While Drew and Hank Perkins were taking care of other customers, Kim and Ron were sitting with Shea at one table, while Monique, Hope, Sophie, Marty and Brick were sitting at their own table.
Brick was especially enjoying his cupcakes.
"Oh, yeah, these cupcakes are really good," he said.
"They are yummy," Marty commented.
Everyone murmured in agreement.
Sophie was continuing to eat her cupcake when, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed someone familiar to her walking into the store. It was Giselle.
"What is she doing here?" she wondered aloud with narrowed eyes.
Kim, Ron and Shea were also enjoying their cupcakes.
"Mmm, these are really good," Kim commented. "You and Drew have been doing really well with these, Shea."
"Yep, yummy as ever," Ron spoke.
"Gee, thanks, Kimmie, Ronnie," Shea said in appreciation. "And I guess we have been doing well considering…"
"Considering what?" a voice appeared.
The three turned to see Giselle smirking at them.
"That you and your blue faced freak of a husband were infamous for being Kim's arch enemies?" Giselle guessed.
"Who are you?" Shea asked in an annoyed tone.
"Giselle Edward," Kim answered. "The second most annoying person in the world."
"Another one of those, huh?" Shea muttered.
"You have no idea," Ron said.
"What do you want, Giselle?" Kim demanded. "We're talking here."
"Just thought I'd get myself a cupcake," Giselle answered. "And if you ask me, I'd say this store has done pretty well for itself considering what your former arch enemies the last time they were selling cupcakes."
"What was it? Oh, yeah, the cupcakes were just a front for you to freeze the world?" Giselle taunted.
"How did you know that?" Shea demanded.
"Word gets around fast, I can assure you," Giselle replied. "Oh, what about the time you and your husband made everyone afraid of fast food toys?"
Shea growled.
Kim herself wanted to strangle Giselle for talking to Shea like that. Ron wanted to do the same thing as his eyes glowed blue.
"You know, I'm surprised that you would even be allowed to open a cupcake shop anywhere let alone here," Giselle continued. "In fact, I'm surprised that anyone would even believe that a couple of sicos like you two would go straight. Oh, and by the way, Shea, your husband is still a big fat dufus."
Just when Shea looked like she was about to lose it, she felt Kim gently put a hand on her shoulder.
Shea turned to see Kim giving her a sympathetic look.
"It's ok, Shea, I know how you feel," Kim spoke softly. "Just don't let her get to you."
After a moment, Shea took a breath and calmed down.
Giselle looked slightly disappointed that her plan to make Shea lose her cool didn't work.
She scoffed, "That's right, Kim. Tame the beast why don't you."
Shea and Kim grumbled.
"That's enough, Giselle!" Giselle heard a voice speak behind her.
Giselle turned to see Sophie looking at her sternly.
"Oh, look, it's Sophie Rhodes, here to save the day as always," Giselle commented.
"We're not in the mood for your obnoxious antics, Giselle," Sophie said. "So I suggest you get out of here, right now."
"Or what?" Giselle said, smugly.
"Or, I will make your life miserable," Sophie said as she cracked her knuckles. "And believe me, I don't want to have to resort to violence, but I will, got it?"
After a brief tense moment, Giselle decided there was nothing more for her to do there and chose to leave.
"Fine then," Giselle spoke. "Later, Losers."
Giselle started walking away.
Shea sighed in frustration, "Can you believe the nerve of that lady? Where does that kid get off insulting me and Dr. D like that?"
"You don't know the half of it," Sophie groaned. "She's always been like that to me and my friends since High School."
Shea turned to Kim, "Really, Kimmie, I can't believe you have to deal with another one of… those."
"You and me both," Kim groaned.
"Hmm," Ron groaned.
He wondered why Giselle would walk over to their table just to make fun of Shea. Something about that had his monkey senses going off. He developed an uneasy look on his face which did not go unnoticed by Kim.
"Ronnie, what's wrong?" Kim asked.
"I just have a weird feeling," Ron spoke. "Why would Giselle come all the way here just to insult Shea and Drew? It doesn't make sense."
"Now that you mention it, that is weird," Sophie spoke.
"Yeah, it is," Shea muttered.
"You don't think she's up to something, do you?" Kim asked.
"It could be," Ron said slowly.
Then, the group noticed Marty and Hope walk up.
"Is everything ok over here?" Marty asked.
"We're fine, Marty," Sophie answered. "Giselle was just giving us some trouble."
"Ugh, that figures," Hope groaned.
"Is it just me, or is she becoming a little bit meaner than usual?" Marty commented.
"Pretty sure she was always that mean, Marty," Sophie commented.
"Yeah, almost as bad as, ugh, you know you," Hope commented.
The rest of the group groaned knowing who Hope was talking about.
"Look, let's just forget about it and finish eating our cupcakes," Kim spoke.
"Sounds like a good idea, KP," Ron agreed.
"I agree with the Ronster," Shea spoke.
With that, everyone got back to eating their cupcakes.
Meanwhile, in a dark secluded room lit only by red lasers was the case that had been retrieved by Kim and Ron and their team and given to Global Justice.
Soon the ventilation shaft above the case was open revealing three purple dressed ninjas. One of them lowered a rope slowly down to the case, before another agent lowered himself down the rope and grabbed the case, before the first agent pulled the second one back up.
"We now have the plans," the first agent spoke quietly.
"Good," the second agent whispered. "Gemini will be quite pleased."
Later that afternoon, Kim and Ron walked back into their apartment.
"Well, aside from Giselle, I'd say that the grand opening was a smashing success, wouldn't you say, KP?" Ron asked.
"Yes, it was, Ron," Kim spoke.
"Say, KP," Ron said.
"Yes, Ronnie," Kim said.
"Feel like having a romantic dinner with me tonight," Ron asked in a flirty tone. "At Italianos?."
Kim smiled, "Of course, Ronnie," She said in a flirty tone.
"I knew you would say yes, Kim," Ron spoke.
"I will always say yes to having a romantic evening with you, Ronnie," Kim said.
With that, Kim and Ron kissed passionately.
"Oh, brother," Rufus said from inside Rufus's pocket.
After they separated, Kim moved to walk when she lost her footing and fell down.
"Woah!" she screamed as she hit the floor.
The contents of her purse also spilled everywhere.
"Kim, are you alright?" Ron asked as she helped Kim to her feet.
"I'm fine, Ron," Kim assured. "I just lost my footing."
"I'm glad you're alright, KP," Ron said with a smile. "But it looks like your purse spilled everywhere."
"Hmm, feel like helping me pick it up," Kim asked.
"Of course, I'll help you, my most badical bride," Ron answered.
With that, he started picking things up as did Kim. However, Ron soon noticed a small microphone on the floor that had fallen out of the purse.
He picked it up and looked at it strangely, "Uh, Kim."
"Yes, Ronnie?" Kim asked.
"What is this?" Ron asked as he showed Kim the microphone.
Kim looked at it, but she had never seen anything like it before.
"It looks like some kind of microphone," Kim spoke. "But it doesn't look like a Team Possible listening device."
"No, it does not," Ron agreed.
He noticed a switch on the microphone still in the on position. Kim noticed it too. Suddenly, they had come to a horrifying realization.
"Uh, Kim, you don't think…" Ron started to say.
Kim knew what he was thinking.
"We need to talk to Dr. Director. Now!" she said urgently.
