Chapter 16

authors note : Stay tuned. Thank you my readers.

When she was just a girl she expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

So she ran away in her sleep.

"Are you sure you and Haley are up too managing the store while i'm away with Lucas.?" Brooke asked. Looking to her closest girlfriends.

"We are more then capable of handling you're store for a few days." Haley stated matter of fact.

"Trust us once you're on you're way to New York. This store and this town will be the last thing on you're mind." Rachel added in.

"I've been looking forward to this trip since Lucas told me about it."

"I haven't gone to New York since before clothes over bros started."

"When my biggest accomplishment was having my clothes in a display window. I've come a long way since then."

"Now what does Lucas have planned for us.? Tell me!" With a smile.

Brooke proclaimed.

"No that would ruin the surprise." Haley replied.

"We were instructed to help you pack a suitcase nothing more." Rachel added in.

...

Karen Roe handed off the small box. Looking to her son.

"It's better this way. Instead of this ring collecting dust in my jewerly box. It's yours to have. Keith would of wanted it that way." Karen stated matter of fact.

Lucas thanked his mom. Knowing even though she had moved on with Andy. This ring still had a strong level of importance to her.

For Lucas this ring was a symbol of his past and present hopefully colliding in a positive way.

...

The couple met up later. Brooke was waiting outside of Lucas's home.

With her purse and her suitcase.

He reached over and opened the passenger side door.

"There she is. My pretty girl. Get in. Our adventure awaits." Lucas said.

Brooke placed her suitcase in the backseat along with her purse then leaned over to kiss him.

"I could barely sleep last night." Brooke admitted.

"You aren't the only one. This trip is so needed for us."

"Quality time together as a couple." Lucas replied.

Out of respect for what his girlfriend wanted. He got them two seperate rooms.

He hoped by the end of this trip they would be engaged.

...

Victoria Davis never wanted to be a mother. Which only became clearer once Brooke arrived and the disconnect from her grew.

For Ted Davis his business and travel mattered more then family life. He wasn't exactly one for commitment.

His wife married him for his money. He knew that.

Love was weakness. He never cared for it.

...

Brooke was only a couple months old. When she was given to Ted and Victoria to raise as their own.

Which Peyton now knew.
