Hours Later
In the morning
Lucas and Brooke had fallen asleep on the large couch. Wrapped up in each other. Talking and basking in the glow of their engagement.
Lucas had awoken first. He carefully made his way off the couch. Not wanting to wake her up.
Happier then he ever thought possible. Brooke had accepted his proposal. They knew they wanted a future together and at last that was happening.
As he ordered breakfast for them. He found himself.
day dreaming about years into their life.
Lazy mornings. Sleeping in late. Making love all night if they wanted too.
Envisioning what their kids would look like.
He would allow nothing and no one to ruin what they were building.

"Hey everybody it's Peyton. Bringing back this podcast."
"Is a much needed outlet."
"I have news to share. A revelation. Brooke Davis. Isn't a Davis afterall."
"Turns out. Ted and Victoria got stuck with her. And she has no idea. She will once i release this."
"Oh Brookie it's payback time." Peyton proclaimed.
Larry Sawyer felt his heart sink hearing his daughter's latest podcast entry. To his relief. She hadn't posted it yet.
She wouldn't be home from Red Bedroom Records for hours.
Larry erased the podcast entry.
Knowing Peyton had no right to tell Brooke this information.
That was for Ted and Victoria to do. But since they hadn't it was for good reason.
It was the first time Larry realized. Something was deeply wrong with Peyton and he had to do some digging of his own before he confronted her.
