Chapter 1

So basically after binge watching and becoming addicted to My Hero Academia, I've actually been toying around with this idea in my head for quite a while before deciding to put it into action. Now in this fic, I will be trying to write the characters as realistically as possible. I also ask that in the reviews, you be honest but also fair with them , tell me your honest thoughts about this chapter, what you liked and what you didn't. Help out a rookie out with his writing. Anyway without further ado here is the story. Also I DON"T OWN My Hero Academia in any way, shape, or form.

Trust me if I did I'd be spending my days on a tropical beach, not at home writing fanfiction.

"Normal Speech"

"Thoughts"

Okay this is going to be a revision of my story, the flyer, because honestly I feel like I dropped the ball with it, and I just wanna try and improve on that so, this will be a higher standard of the story then beforehand. I don't really have anything beyond that to say, but I promise going forward I will give everything I got to make this story more enjoyable. Without further ado here's the (remake) of the story.

I DON'T own My Hero Academia in any way, shape,or form.

But I've revamped the first three chapters, with the excepion of the fourth, and hopefully they seem more intersting a read going forward.

I DON'T OWN MY HERO ACADEMIA IN ANY WAY,SHAPE OR FORM !

"You must introduce yourself to the world and proudly say I AM HERE!"

Those are the words Izuku Midoriya was told from his Mentor and Idol, All Might himself. The annual UA Sports festival was fast approaching. The Sports Festival was the most watched sporting event in the world, and the perfect opportunity to impress Pro Heroes who could hire them at their agencies after graduation. A student only gets three chances in a lifetime so he couldn't afford to pass this up.

That was three days ago.

For these past few days, has been filled with after school training sessions, between the two wielders of One for All. They both knew that Midoriya needed to kick his training up a notch if he wanted to truly compete with his classmates. But more importantly then that, Midoriya didn't want to worry those who care about him, that he would hurt himself every time he got into a fight.

Before Midoriya had met All Might he was in decent enough shape for a kid his age, not having a quirk had made him decide to compensate by training his powerless body at age 12, with moderate exercise. He wasn't exactly pushing trucks, or cleaning up former beaches turned junkyards yet, but he was lifting weights and going out on jogs whenever he could fit them into his time between his notebooking.

(AN: Does anyone else think it's kind of strange that Midoriya didn't do any sort of training whatsover before meeting All Might? I mean how was he actually expecting to get into U.A with such a weak body?) Upon meeting the Symbol of Peace his physical training and workouts were kicked up several thousand notches, at Dagobah Beach, his mentor was pleasantly surprised to see that he was in relatively decent shape. If the boy had received One for All right then and there, it was believable he could have harnessed at least 3% of One For All. However at the time he wasn't 100% sure on whether or not he was capable of surviving the transfer right then and there, so to be on the safe side he was made to clean the beach to build himself even further.

One For All granted him enormous power that was true, the problem was he was incapable of using his Full power without breaking his body like a toothpick.

And yes while he had used his wits and ingenuity to compensate for these weaknesses , he knew it would not do for a permanent solution, especially not in the days to come. Bakugo had proven that first hand during their Battle Training session, as he had been forced to use 100% to win the excercise. For lack of a better term his quirk was , a double edged sword.

They both agreed that he needed something that would give him and a much needed edge at the tournament.

Ever since he entered U.A , the young man had only been capable of using One For All a 5% without Ko'ing himself in the process, but the problem was his attack speed , so that's precisely what the next couple of weeks would be devoted to. And with some practice, it was down to the point he only had to put some concentration into his attacks, instead of all of it.

That was entirely the wrong way of thinking, he needed to start thinking One for all as part of his body, NOT something to call upon. But the act of transferring One for all from one body part to the next, simply took far too long to actually be effective. All Might had actually given him advice on this actually. Well actually the advice came from an "old friend" The way All Might was shivering just from the memory of the guy, didn't make the unknown come off as exactly a friend, but that person was knowledgeable about One For All nonetheless.

However this "Old friend's" advice was sweet and simple. "You're thinking of One For All as far more special then it really is." At first Midoriya wasn't exactly sure what that was supposed to mean. Of course he thought of One For All as special, it was truly a one of a kind power. Until he realized that maybe it wasn't the origin of problem but it was helping to cause said problem.

With this information, Midoriya had decided to go back down to the basics of quirks. They weren't just superpowers or magic, they were physical abilities with limits to them. Looking over the mountain of Journals he'd filled over the years. And over these past few days, he already managed to realize what his problem was, he was thinking of One for all as kind of a last resort move. He needed to think of it as something he could just use it without even thinking about it.

Using my quirk needs to come just as naturally as breathing. Everyone's had fifteen years headstart on me. And time is a luxury I'm running out of. If I'm gonna fully draw out the 5% I can handle, I'll need to put in even more commitment then I did at the beach." . He was capable of accessing the 5% percent his body could handle, but his movements were far to slow . He only had 2 weeks left, until the annual U.A Sports Festival began. Would he truly be able to come up with a solution in time?

After three days Midoriya finally had some success with it. He was now capable of controlling his power to a better certain extent, requiring a little less of his concentration instead of all of it. The downside... he could manage a small amount of his true power, and even then he still had to take the time to spread that power to the desired place. But at least he made some progress... Right?

All his classmates already knew how to run, meanwhile he was only just learning how to crawl.

The young hero was so lost in his trademark mutteriing as he made his way to his regular training session with All Might after school. So much in fact he accidentally walked face first into a Bullitin Board in the hallway. Rubbing his poor face, Midoriya bent down to pick them up when he saw an ad for a Panasonic Microwave. Maybe he should bring this home to his Mother. The one at their Apartment was on its last legs, they had that ancient piece of machinery since he was 4 years old it wasn't even the turning type.

" No more frozen Tayaki! Enjoy a fully cooked treat with-"

The flyers scattered on the ground as Midoirya eyes widened in realization, and wide smile grew on his face as he let out a chuckle.

FULLY COOKED!

BINGO!

And with that the Greenette took of running to the Symbol of Peace at their usual training spot.

XXXX

"I'M A PASTRY IN A MICROWAVE!"

"Uhh... I-I'm sorry what?"

" No. No not literally. But I found the answer!" Standing before his Master in a private training room, Midoriya practically exploded with excitement as he relayed his new theory to his Predecessor.

"The problem is until now I've only been summoning One For All in the places I needed when I needed it. But by doing that my reaction time just slows down more and more. I shouldn't be flipping the switch off. I just need to leave the power on the whole time, spreading it throughout my entire body. I need to have One for All surging through all of me continuously, the 5% I can manage! " Midoriya stated while forcing the quirk's power coursing through his whole body. As he did so, it coated him with a bioelectic aura symbolizing the power up.

"Well done Young Izuku! You've taken your first true step towards making One For All's power your own." The Symbol of Peace thought with a impressed look at seeing the ingenious method his student had created.

"A pastry in a microwave, huh? Pretty boring, but it's effective!

"You said that about my egg already, and it was fine with me!"

"So you think you can you move around like this kid?"

"I'm not sure really!"

"So... Wanna test it out?" All Might asked with his trademark smile as he accessed his Muscular form.

"Of course!" His young successor replied with a confident grin of his own, before Master and Student charged at one another.

XXXX

"*Pant...*Pant...*Pant"

"Well done Young Izuku!" Said introvert struggled to raise his head up, from the ground as he looked at his teacher.

Truly impressive especially for a first try!"

It was just a grazing blow on his shoulder, a mere tap at best... but he DID connect . Considering his opponent was most likely the strongest person in the world, that was... pretty damn impressive.

The next few of weeks were filled with Sparing Matches between the Two Wielders of One for All . This served to not only assist in increasing his fighting senses while in this state that he had named... Full Cowling, but also help increase his concentration in terms of using his power, being sure to maintain exactly 5% the entire time and not go over his limit. It was on a totally different level then when he utilized the power on one part of his body, with this technique he was keeping it going continuously. The slightest loss of focus, could result in the braking of bones.

Of course there may have been 2 or 3 stress fractures here and there but it was well worth it . Recovery Girl was more then happy to heal his injuries, as it was done in the use of learning how to better control his power. Full Cowling was just what he needed, something that would give him a much needed edge at upcoming the Sports Festival. And since the power is spread throughout his whole body, he no longer needed to waste time redistributing the power from one body part to another.

And when the duo wasn't sparring, They would be engaging in intense weight training, both with and without Full Cowling to increase his physical strength. And when he wasn't doing that he'd be at home resting and simply turning Full Cowling on and off, on and off, on and off on repeat. Trying to get himself to the point where it didn't take much focus to use, which he already had a head start on thanks to the time he spent training to increase his control in the 3 weeks before the 1st day of U.A.

XXXX

Before he knew it the Sports Festival had arrived. Students from all courses, would battle it out for supremecy. And the Hero course students needed to put on a good show. While 4 students got in to the hero course due to recommendations only 35 (AN: that's gonna be important later so remember that!) had gotten in through traditional exams, and they split into two classes, Class-1A with only Nineteen and Class-1B with the traditional Twenty, students from other courses would be vying for that open slot. And even then, if they did good enough, they could replace one of the 39 already in both classes. At least according to a Purple Haired teenager, who Midoriya was pretty sure he saw with his homeroom teacher once or twice.

The first event was the obstacle race, a Four-Kilometer race around the stadium, with quirk useage allowed. As the students made their way to the starting line, the Ninth Wielder took a deep breath, with a determined look on his face.

READY!

"Ok this is where I finally, put my training to the test.

SET!

I hope you're watching me ALL MIGHT!"

"GO!"

As all the students rushed to get out of the gate quickly backing it up, eyes flicked upwards to see a green flash of light takw the lead.

"With my new training I can win!" Midoriya exclaimed with a smile on his face, as he easily passed the rest of the the relatively controlled manner of how their classmate was utilizing his usually destructive power, the students of Class 1-A jaws fell to the floor.

"Since when the hell can Midoriya do that?!" Kirishima exclaimed with wonder in his eyes.

"The way he's moving ..." Endeavor's youngest son thought with an astounded face as he quickly froze the ground behind, severely slowing down much of the competition.

"Those are MY MOVES! The past two weeks he was... look at him! DAMMIT! " raced through Bakugo's mind with veins bulging at seeing how Deku had incorporated his moves into his own new technique, and significant amount of jealously as he saw how far the little shit had improved.

"Midoriya?!" Eida yelled with wonder in his voice at seeing the new mastery of his quirk. "Those movements... He's flying around like Bakugo does!"

"Shouldn't he be breaking a bunch of his bones or something like that?" Ojiro wondered out loud as he expertly dodged Todoroki's incoming ice with his tail, along with his fellow classmates.

"DEKU! JUST WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Bakugo screeched at the top of his lungs as propelled himself forward with his explosions, refusing to be left behind.

Every single one of Deku's classmates thinking was among the same line of things . "What the HELL kind of training had he been doing through the past two weeks?!"

"And suddenly Class 1-A's Midoriya takes the lead with blinding speed! " Beside the Overly excited announcer, Shota Aizwaia narrowed his eyes at his Problem Child, with the smallest of smirks hidden beneath his bandages recalling the words of advice he had given him before.

"Work harder, I don't wanna hear the excuse you can't fully control your quirk that's already getting old."

Clearly that boy had taken those words to heart. While His power may have been lessened considerably, he's gained far greater control over it.

I can do this! I can win! Just as long I don't go above 5%, I can-" Midoriya thought process was interrupted as he just barely managed dodged a back handed swiped from a 0- point robot from the Practical Exam. Landing back on the ground he quickly leaped upon the arm of the robot, before once again propelling himself to the side of it's head. He then managed to rip a small part of the robot to use as a shield against the incoming finger of yet another Mech before managing to right himself in the air and land on his feet back on the ground before dashing forward once more, and dropping the "shield". "Izuku Midoriya pasts through the obstacle as if it were nothing!"

Refusing to be left behind the boy who had caught All Might's eye, Todoroki quickly projected his Ice onto the Gigantic Mechs in front of him, sending them tumbling onto the ground before dashing forward as fast as his legs could carry him.

"For those of you who felt the first obstacle was to easy, let's see what you think about the 2nd one!" Present Mic questioned as Midoriya arrived at a canyon with ropes connecting, with Todoroki and Bakugo hot on his trail.

Taking advantage of his increased mobility he quickly took a leap with a running start, before launching himself to the next platform.

Meanwhile back in the teachers' stand , the Faculty was rather impressed by the young introvert's improvement. "I thought that kid couldn't use his quirk without injuring himself." The dread lock hero Snipe said as he viewed the event.

" Yes, it seems as though he's finally learned how to channel it correctly." Principal Nezu replied with his usual polite tone.

"Yeah, now he should be more effective in..."

The conversations in teachers' box were completely being drowned out by All Might, as he was completely focused on the progress his young Protege was making in the race with a smirk on his face "Young Izuku, the fruits of your labor have paid off well. While a measly 5% of your power may only be a small amount of your true power , it's still more then enough to allow you to compete with your fellow students. I've asked so much of you, you don't have to come in first but it seems you won't settle for less." The Jack Skellington looked alike thought happily.

" The results of your improvement was clearly worth calling, h-h-h-him-mm." He shivered as thought about the one man who strikes fear in his heart, even more then his nemesis.

(Flashback)

"Get some rest kid, I'm sure we'll crack it tomorrow." The symbol of peace waved to his apprentice with a smile on his face. If only he was as confident as he sounded.

As he sat in the teacher's lounge after a day of training with his young pupil, All Might looked out the window with a thoughtful look on his face. The past few days hadn't seen much progress in Young Izuku's training, and they only had two weeks left. This wasn't working out, this whole... teacher thing.

But not because of the boy. No, the farthest thing from him, the boy was impressive ,courageous, intelligent, and far, far beyond anything he could've expected. The best successor he could have asked for. The problem was himself. He was failing as a teacher, hell he could barely even teach how to safely utulize his power without hurting him, and even then it was all him.

What would his master say if she saw how pitiful he sounded? She was the best possible teacher anyone could ever hope for, encouraging, helpful, intelligent, kind, and patient so many words could be used to described his beloved mentor and surrogate mother. He couldn't count how many ways she had had helped him

A teacher is supposed to nurture, and foster growth, to inspire, and he couldn't even help him, with something as simple as improving his control. Wait that it's if he couldn't reach his dearly departed mentor, then he should call his other teacher.

Maybe... Maybe... he should call his old friend for help. A friend he hadn't for a veeeeery long time. Reaching into his pocket, he dialed the number on the phone... At least that was the plan. As he finished dialing the number, his finger stop just short of the dial number.

"God, what's wrong with me?! Young Izuku has been working day in and day out , until he drops. Dripping with sweat. If the kid trusts me enough to put his training in the my hands, then I should be man enough to swallow my pride, and just make a simple phone call! E-e-even if it is - h-h-him. This might be the only way to help Young Izuku"! With this conviction he finally brought his thumb down upon the button.

*Ring

"I can do this"

*Ring

"I can do this"

*Ring

"I... can't do this!

No, no, no, what the hell am I thinking calling him?! Not-"

"Hello?"

"Hello, S-s-sir lo-long time n-n-n-no s-s-see."

(Flashback end)

After spending the better part of an hour getting his ear getting chewed off, for "acting like a piss poor excuse for a teacher" before finally giving him the the golden nugget he needed to help his successor.

"The kid's thinking One For All is more special then it really is. *click" It was hardly the most sanctimonious way to give advice, but hey it worked.

That one sentence, had advanced the boy by leaps and bounds. One sentence from Gran Torino had advanced his young protoge further in a few days, then he had in a year. He couldn't help but feel disappointed in himself, for that comparison. Suddenly the Symbol of Peace was ripped from his thoughts, by the Voice Hero.

"And now students are approaching the final obstacle, be sure to tread carefully, YOU'RE STEPPING ONTO A literal MINDFIELD! By the way, those land mines were designed for the game, so they may be loud and flashy, but there's not too strong. JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU WET YOURSELF! Present Mic screamed as loud as possible without his quirk.

"Calm down." Eraser deadpanned in his usual tone.

Crap. He had to admit this was pretty clever He might have been in first but that was actually putting him at a disadvantage. He had to watch his step if he didn't want to get blown up. If he didn't think of something then-

"YOU'RE DEAD DEKU!" Whirling his head around our protagonist narrowly avoided an explosion from his former friend as he saw both he and the son of the Number 2 hero had closed the gap between them. Before he could be attacked again, Todoroki quickly froze Bakugo's arm, only to be shaken off. The dual quirk wielder however , quickly ducked a One For All Enhanced backhand to the face.

A flurry of Explosions,Sparks, and Ice were traded between the trio, all of them vying for dominice.

"AND JUST THAT LIKE IT'S A THREEWAY BATTLE! CAN OUR THREE LEADERS FIGHT ONE ANOTHER AND STAY AHEAD!?"

That was the million dollar question. Whenever one of them pulled ahead, the other two would follow suit and even the odds.

"Damn. It 's taking everything I have just to keep up with them! And since I have to be careful where I step, I can only focus One For All in my upper body."

It was so hard to think of anything while watching is every step.

"Wait... That's it!"

Midoriya thought as he once again took to the sky, quickly removing one his trademark red shoes, and landed on both his rivals shoulders' tossing his beloved sneaker right ahead of his opponents activating the land mine in front of them. Using it them to propel himself Midoriya just barely landed on the other side of the Minefield, before taking off for the goal.

"DAMN IT DEKU! GET BACK HERE!" the number one hothead screeched, as began launching himself forward with explosions to retake the lead.

"This ice path will just help the others but there's no time to worry about that right now." Icy Hot thought as he quickly coated the mines in front of him in an effort to catch up. "You're won't win that easily!"

"And Izuku Midoriya widens the gap between him and fellow runners once more! Geez Eraser just what the hell are you teaching this kid?!"

'This has nothing to do with me, not just Midoriya, but all of these students are simply powered by their own drive to succeed." Aizawa responded.

"There you have it Eraser is a terrible teacher!"

"What?!"

Ignoring his old friend Present Mic continued with his duties with announcer, "The first person to make it back to the stadium is... IZUKU MIDORIYA! HE IS OUR CHAMPION!

"OH IZUKU, MY BABY!" Inko Midoriya exclaimed, flooding her apartment with tears.

Midoriya looked up to the crowd cheering at his victory, while he spotted his master in the Teachers' Box he was clearly pleased at his young Protege's progress.

HE DID IT! HE ACTUALLY DID IT! He had gotten first place, though with the water works... baby steps. Baby steps.

Wiping the tears that were threatening to spill from his eyes he clenched his fist in victory with the widest smile on his face. All his Training was finally paying off at last. He could now compete with his classmates on equal footing with his new found mastery over his quirk.

"Again. NO WAY. Deku beat me. AGAIN"! Bakugo snarled with a psychotic look, looking like he would explode... without using his quirk. He had lost again, to that damn nerd. And to add insult to injury he used his own moves to do it!

Todoroki simply narrowed his eyes at the boy before, walking away. "Objectively speaking, it's pretty clear I'm more capable than you."

Those were the words he told his his chosen rival. "It would seem... I underestimated you."

Meanwhile, the Scouting Pro hero's were impressed. Not only with the young man's physical abilities, but also the the level of his analytical abilities. They certainly needed to keep an eye on him.

"That kid's got serious potential."

"Yeah and not just with his quirk, it seems he's quite the strategist."

"Yes adaptation, improvisation but his weakness is not his technique".

"That was Amazing Deku! You got first place, I'm so jealous! When did you learn how to use your power like that?!" Uraraka exclaimed shoving her face right in Deku's."O-Oh it was nothing really."Midoriya replied timidly hiding his blushing face. "C-close. Sh-she's so close!"

"I-it was j-ust something I was working on the last co-uple of weeks." He meekly muttered.

"Were you holding out on us"? She inquired while energetically but gently punching his shoulder.

"I-it was nothing. I- I just found a new way to use my power."

As he conversed with his bubbly friend he realized something. This was it. He had taken the first step towards announcing to the world that he was here.

Ok this is the rewrite of my Story The Flyer I hope this is better then the original version with some slight revisions here and there.

I wrote this in about two days. I really do hope it turned out well, because I truly put in plenty of effort.

I also want to say I won't be featuring the Calvary battle in this story (while it does occur in this story I simply won't be showing it)instead it will skip straight over to tournament battles.

Until the next one!
