Ginny's knuckles were red and raw. Specks of blood glittered beneath the skin.

"Who was it this time?" Luna asked, looking up as Ginny slipped into the room. They'd been meeting in an empty classroom to study for their exams. Ginny found she studied better with Luna there, reading the material to her. Luna didn't seem to mind reading to Ginny, or dealing with Ginny's impulsive behavior.

"A wall," she stated, starting to bandage up her hands. "I punched a wall, bit stupid really, but it beats punching Malfoy though. Although, at least he'd show some pain if I punched him. The wall shows nothing."

Luna sighed.

"What did he do now?"

"What? Existing isn't enough?" Ginny asked, letting Luna put the salve on her hands. She was hopeless on that part. It was very hard to salve ones own hands. It was even more difficult to bandage them if it came to that. It rarely did. The salve was enough to heal them a bit, or at least stop any bleeding.

"Ginny."

"What do you think he did? He was talking about my family again. What was I supposed to do?" she asked, flopping down in her seat. She put her feet on the table and kicked off her shoes.

"Ignore him?" Luna suggested.

"And let him get away with it?"

"Punching walls doesn't seem to be helping much."

"Makes me feel better," Ginny mumbled.

"Cuts up your knuckles and if you didn't have me to treat them, you'd let them get infected, then you'd have infected cuts and then if you continued to ignore them, continued to let the infection grow, you'd lose your hands. Is that what you want Ginny, to lose your hands?" Luna asked. "I mean, it would make life very difficult. You wouldn't be able to hold hands with people."

"No, I don't want to lose my hands. I just want him to shut up," Ginny stated. "Or find something else to do with his time."

"He's going to keep doing it since he gets a rise out of you. You know that. If you ignore him, he won't get the satisfaction of annoying you and then maybe he'll stop. I mean, we could always tell one of the teachers?"

"They don't care. He's not actually doing anything they can prove. All they'll do is take points and we both know that's not going to stop him. He'll just earn the back by the next day. No, we need to find out a better solution, one to get him to leave me and my family alone."

"Let me guess," Luna sighed, sliding her parchment into her bag. "you have an idea?"

"I do! If we find something else for Draco to do, like get him a girlfriend, he'll be too busy to annoy me!"

"You want to find a girlfriend for your bully?" Luna asked, staring at Ginny and wondering if her friend had finally lost her mind. The idea of finding someone for Draco to date was madness, especially since Luna sometimes thought Ginny actually harbored feelings for him.

"Yes! It's perfect. When Percy was dating Penelope, he was too busy with her to be a git. It'll work! We just need to find someone who is just as annoying as Draco, someone else that needs a distraction..."

"Maybe we could find something else for you to do instead of punching walls pretending they're Draco? You mentioned something about a girlfriend."

"Yes, for Draco."

"Are you sure you don't want one too?" Luna asked, her cheeks blushing slightly. Ginny blinked.

"Wait, are you...offering to date me?"

"Or you could admit that maybe you don't hate Malfoy as much as you claim, that maybe you like him and that's part of the problem?"

"He's a git. I don't like him, and how would dating you solve my problem, wouldn't it just give him more ammunition to use on me?"

"Because if you were dating me, we'd be too busy snogging to care what Draco Malfoy has to say," Luna stated. Ginny stared at her, her eyes moving back and forth as she seemed to think about Luna's statement.

"And I'd get to kiss you? And we'd hold hands and you'd help me with my Quidditch drills?"

"That's part of being someone's girlfriend, so yes."

"Could I kiss you now? I mean, just to see if I like it? I've never kissed a girl before. Never thought about it before, I mean, witches and wizards..."

"Is outdated and sure, if you'd like."

"Right, okay, here it goes," Ginny said, leaning forward. Her lips pressed against Luna's. She could taste Luna's coconut lip gloss, could feel the softness of her lips. Ginny pulled back.

"And?" Luna asked.

"It was nice, nicer than kissing Dean, but not as nice as kissing Harry...I think, yes, I think I might want to do that again?"

"Anytime," Luna replied, giving Ginny a wide smile, glad she'd found a way to at least temporarily get Ginny's mind of Draco Malfoy.
