Season One Episode 11 Part Two
Ellie's Pov
Once they had finished eating everyone else left while they stayed and talked and it didn't take long for Addy to start telling her about the stuff they had been through and she was currently taking about the cannibals.
"Cannibals?" She said shocked once Addy had finished the story "I'm so sorry that happened to you both And I wish I could say I was surprised. Man. He can't help himself. The animal instinct takes over. Kill, destroy, rape. Now this disease, this virus. Testosterone is the most toxic chemical on Earth. And you both survived through it all. Now you're here"
"I was really lucky. I met Mack on the first night"
"I think he was the lucky one. What about you?" Helen asked Ellie "I know your not American, so how did you get here"
"Um...I was on a girls trip with some of my friends when the apocalypse first started, but they died pretty much straight away so I was on my own for a few months when I found Warren and another member of our group Garnett. But he died about two weeks ago the same time I was shot. The others came not long after I joined them and we've basically been together for three years. But Warren and Garnett were like a substitute mum and dad. They were the first people I met in a strange world and I don't even know what happened to my family and I'll never know. So these people are the only family I got left and family is important so I will do everything in my power to make sure they are safe and protected" Ellie said wiping away some tears that had fallen down her cheeks.
Helen nodded and using her hand she wiped a tear that Ellie missed off her face and Ellie tried her hardest not to flinch "You've come to the right place" She said smiling and Ellie smiled back slightly but it was forced. "Now this is special" She said looking towards Addy and picking up her locket that was hanging around her neck.
"Ummm, yeah, yeah. How'd you know?" Addy asked
"Tell me"
"I can't" Addy said as she started to get tearful and Ellie grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze.
"It's too much for you. I can see that" Helen said getting off her seat and sitting next to Addy pulling her into a side hug as she started to cry. "You can tell me. Just tell me"
"It was my mom" Addy said crying freely now "And my brother. And I had to...both of them"
"Oh, my sweet, sweet, sweet girl. Let it go. Just let it all go. Can I tell you something? You don't ever have to go through that again. This place, our sisters, we're protected from that. We could use woman like you. Smart, resourceful, caring. You're not like the others. You're special. Both of you. I can see that."
Helen looked like she was gonna say something else then but they were interrupted by the sound of a car horn, which Ellie was very grateful she really didn't like the attention Helen paid them and her face was starting to hurt after fake smiling all the time.
"Hmmm, looks like we have a new sister" Helen said standing up and she walked over to the truck. Addy went to follow but Ellie grabbed her arm pulling her to a stop.
"Addy are you sure you're ok?"
"Yeah, I'm ok I just got a bit emotional. It all got on top of me" Addy smiled trying to reassure her
"You know you can talk to me about anything and I mean anything. You're like a sister to me and I hate seeing you sad"
"I know" Addy said placing her hand on top of Ellie's which was still on her arm and gave it a squeeze. "And I am so grateful but I think I'm gonna be ok. I feel safe here, safer than I have felt in a long time. You don't have to worry about me" Addy said and before Ellie could respond she pulled away from her and followed after Helen.
Ellie was left feeling even worse because what Addy had said hadn't quenched her fear it had magnified it. Addy was in a bad place right now and Helen knew this and she was using this to get into her head and Ellie was not happy about that. Not wanting her to be alone with Helen she rushed to catch up to Addy and she wasn't the only one, they were soon joined by Warren.
"Hey! Hey. Hey. What's going on?" Warren asked them once she had caught up.
"I'm not sure" Addy said coming to a stop a few feet away from the car where a young woman was walking towards them along with three other woman from the group. The new girl had a cut on her lip like she had been hit and she had been crying.
"This is Tessa" They heard one of the woman say to Helen.
"Tessa, welcome. You're home now. You're safe" She said to Tessa and when she started crying she pulled her into a hug. "Shhh, shhh, shhh, shhh. It's okay. No one can hurt you here." She turned to some of the woman in the group that had gathered around and continued talking. "This is why we exist. We provide a place that is safe from the violent destructive world of men. And we bring the perpetrators to justice. That is our purpose"
"That is our purpose" The little girl Addy was talking to earlier repeated.
"Bring him." Helen said looking back towards the car and two woman dragged a big muscly man with long hair out from it, followed by another woman who had her gun pointed at him. The guy struggled to get out of their grasps but his hands where tied behind his back and they managed to pull him to a stop in-front of Helen. "What is your name?" She asked him
"Bite me, Bitch"The man snarled spitting down at her feet. But Helen was not fazed
"Hmmm, Bitch. I like that. It suits you. Well it's time that you learn about justice, Bitch. Take him away." She said to the woman holding him and they dragged him away. Followed by a few woman with guns and then the crowd that had gathered. Helen was last and she stopped when she walked by Warren, Ellie and Addy. "You should see this"
"What's gonna happen to him?" Addy asked
"Justice" She replied simply and out of curiosity they followed Helen and the others and soon they were all gathered around what looked like a small barn with a plank of wood going across the door keeping it shut.
"You harm a woman, you die. That's our rule" Helen said standing at the front with Tessa as two woman held the man by the door and another took the plank of wood off. Tessa was soon handed a Baton stun gun but she looked hesitant to take it. "Tessa?" Helen promoted and when she got no response she repeated louder "Now, Tessa."
Tessa reacted then poking him with the Baton as the electric zapped through it and the man gasped and went backwards once he was hit. She repeated the action and the woman by the door opened it and he went flying through it and came face to face with what seemed like a zombie bear that roared when he saw him making the man scream. The door was quickly slammed shut then and the plank was replaced locking him inside.
They could hear several screams and grunting followed by lots of growling as the man was eaten alive, his flesh torn off his bones when all suddenly went quiet.
"He was a bad man" The little girl said turning to look at Ellie and the others like she was used to this happening on a frequent basis while they had looks of shock and disgust at the thought of what they had just done and most of the woman gathered looked happy and pleased about it. While Addy just looked confused like she didn't know what to believe, but Ellie knew then that they couldn't stay here any more. They had to leave over wise they could end up the same
They all soon made their way back to the main part of the camp where Addy and Ellie where sat on a bench outside of a building while Warren went to check on Cassandra. They didn't speak they were both still shocked and trying to process what just happened.
"Addy? Ellie?" Warren said coming from the side of the house and coming to a stop in-front of them "Hey. You all right?"
"Yeah" Addy said nodding smiling slightly but it seemed more like she was trying to convince herself that she was alright then them.
"I'm still trying to wrap my hand around what just happened" Ellie admitted running a hand through her hair. Her hair was down for once, All the stuff with Citizen z and now this had given her a headache and having her hair up made it worst.
"Yeah me to" Warren said before turning to look at Helen who was making her way towards them.
"Tessa said there are two sisters still out there. We could use your help to free them" She said to them but aimed it more at Ellie and Addy.
Of course" Addy said with no hesitation
"Addy. You sure you're up to that?" Warren asked her sitting down on the bench next to her and Ellie could see Helen cross her arms by her chest like she didn't like her intervening.
"Warren. Any one of us could be those sisters"
"She's got a point there" Ellie begrudgingly admitted and she knew Addy wasn't gonna back down at least this way she would be there to help "I'm in" She said looking up at Helen
"Me too" Addy said standing up.
"Wonderful" Helen said
Yeah, you got me too" Warren sighed out standing up also
"You don't have to" Helen said quickly seeming to not like the idea of her coming
"No, no, no. I always got my sister's back." Warren said leaving no room for argument and Helen nodded but still didn't look pleased.
They soon set of out of the camp in the jeep quickly driving past the rest of the group outside and towards where the other girls apparently were heading. Once they got to the destination they made a plan, they made the truck look like it had broken down and Ellie, Addy and another girl had to stand around. Basically look pretty to attract the males attention while the others hid until they came. It was like the cannibal situation all over again, expect they didn't eat people they killed them if they didn't like what they did. Addy was sat next to the bumper, the hood was popped up and smoke was coming out of it while the other girl was leaning next to it and Ellie was leaning against the front her foot propped up behind her.
"Here they come" The girl Emmy said said seeing two motorbikes approach them. Accompanied by two woman with their wrists tied up.
"You got a problem there, darlin'?" An older man with dark hair and wearing sunglasses said
"What do you think?" Emmy said
"Kinda dangerous, ain't it? Three pretty little gals like you, travelin' all alone? It's not safe out here. I'll tell you what. Why don't you tell me where you're headed, and Sidecar here can have a look at that engine" The man said again as the other two man got off their motorbike and approached them. When a shot was fired at their feet they paused looking up at Helen who had her gun pointed at them
"Hands up, gentlemen. Your little game is over" She said and the younger man put his weapons down seeing the rest of the woman come out of hiding with their weapons raised and Ellie and the others pulled there's out too.
Wait, wait, wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm not really with them. They just... I was stranded, and they helped me out" The man tried to explain
"Shut up!" Helen shouted "Drop your guns."
"That ain't happening, sweetheart."The man threatened but jumped when two more shots were fired at his feet. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Whoa, whoa! Hold your fire! Hold your fire" The man said again putting down his gun and the other man did the same "You see, huh? I'm a reasonable man. I'm sure we can come to some kind of an arrangement. Why don't you just tell me what you want?"
"Let me ask. These girls with you voluntarily?" She asked them "Didn't think so" She snarled when they didn't get a response "Ladies" She said to the group and they all advanced forward.
Ellie and Warren kept their guns trained on them just in case they tried something while the other tied each of them next to each on a long rope. When they were tied up Addy and Warren went back to the jeep while Ellie stayed her gun back in the holster but she stayed alert
"Hey, hey, listen to me. That saddlebag, it's full of oxycontin. You can take it." The man tried to bargain.
"Not interested."
"What kind of a raging bitch doesn't want to make a deal?"
"This one" She replied before looking back at Addy "Hey, Addy. We could use your help over here. It's time for some justice." She said once Addy was next to her and she put a gun into her hand. "Shoot one. A mortal wound, anywhere but the head. The rest will take care of themselves"
Addy didn't hesitate before raising her gun which surprised Ellie, she then pointed it at the man who tried to bargain with them but she was stopped "Oh, not this one. The other one" She said gesturing to the younger one
"Addy, wait" Warren said walking towards her
"I swear. I... It wasn't me. I... Please. Please. I wasn't..." The man begged as Addy raised her gun
"Is this really necessary?" She said to Helen "Addy, don't do this"
"You don't want to get in my way, sister." Helen threatened turning to face her as she crossed her arms over her chest. And the other woman came closer holding there guns tighter and the threat was clear.
"Addy this isn't you" Ellie begged her as she tried to get her to see sense.
"I like you Ellie but the same threat goes to you" Helen threatened her and Ellie had to bite her tongue to stop her from retorting
"Please, I... I swear. I swear. I wasn't gonna do anything" The man begged and Addy faulted
"He's lying" Helen whispered into her ear. "Remember the canniba-"
"Addy I was there too" Ellie said rushing to Addy's other side "And I know what he did was awful but we got through it together"
"Remember when he kidnapped you" Helen continued ignoring Ellie
"Addy just because one man did these things doesn't mean every man is like that. Garnett wasn't like that, Doc isn't like that. Even Murphy isn't like that. Is Mack like that?" She asked her and Addy turned to look at her and she slowly shook her head. "Then please don't condemn a man for something that someone else did because we literally have no prove that this man has anything to do with this and he is even begging for his life. Are you really gonna shoot him?"
"Addy your friend is just confused, she doesn't understand" Helen said tugging Addy so she looked at her while one of the other woman roughly grabbed her arm and pulled her backwards making her gasp and shoved the gun to her back and she saw another threaten Warren with theirs as she tried to come to Ellie's aid.
"Remember. Remember Tobias. Remember how you felt" Helen continued manipulating her and Ellie struggled to get out of the woman grasp but the gun was shoved deeper making her grunt in pain tears coming to her eyes as she knew there was nothing she could do. "These man are dong exactly the same don't you want to save them from that? Do it!"
"Addy no!" Ellie shouted seeing her raise her gun but she was too late her gun fired and she shot the man in the heart sending him to the floor. The woman holding Ellie let her go and she lifted her hand to her mouth, she really didn't think Addy would do it and looking over to Warren she thought exactly the same thing.
"Oh, God! No! No! No!" The two other men shouted knowing he was gonna turn and they couldn't get away from him
"Good girl" Helen praised Addy taking the gun from her "It's time to go" She said to them all and they got back into the red truck and set off back to the camp and as they were leaving they could hear the terrified and painful screams of the man. The guy had turned.
When the jeep pulled to a stop outside the camp Warren and Ellie got out while Addy stayed with the others.
"We got to get out of here" Warren said to them
"Hey, I know. I saw the bear"
"A zombie bear is the least of our worries Doc" Ellie said
"Yeah, That's not the problem"
"If a zombie bear isn't the problem, what is?" Neither of them wanted to break it to Mack so Warren just looked at him and got the message
"I need to see her" Mack said firmly
"She's in a weird place. I've been there. It's not gonna be easy to get her back"
"Well it's fine, but I'm not leaving here without her".
"You guys just get ready. We'll do our best to get her out. But you may have a choice to make"
Ellie and Warren both made their way back into camp and went straight to Cassandra. They knew they had to get out of that place as soon as possible.
"Hey, we got to go now" Warren said hurriedly as soon as she got into the room and she started packing away some suppliers while Cassandra put some shorts on while Ellie waited anxiously by the door. "You seen Addy?"
"No" Cassandra said shaking her head and Ellie frowned it was not like Addy to not check in with the people she cared about.
"We will find her on the way out" Warren said
"Warren what if she doesn't want to leave?" Ellie asked her sadly making Warren pause, she hesitated before turning to face her and she let out a sigh.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it" Warren said coming to stand by Cassandra staring down at her with concern
"I'll be fine" She reassured her
"Hope so" Warren said walking past Ellie and out the door
"I will" Cassandra said rushing after Warren and Ellie followed.
It wasn't long after they left when they saw Addy running towards the building and it looked like she had been crying.
"Hey, hey Addy!" Warren shouted trying to get her attention but she carried on running.
"Addy wait!" Ellie shouted running towards Addy and following her into the building. She saw Addy run into a room and went to close the door but Ellie rushed to it and pushed her way in blocking the door so Addy wasn't able to close it. "Addy talk to me" She begged her and she could see Addy's eyes going erratically like she was trying to find a way out of it.
"Addy!" They both heard the others shout and Ellie quickly found herself dragged inside and the door was then locked just as Cassandra and Warren got to the door.
"Hey Addy" Warren said as she tried the door
"Addy please talk to us" Cassandra begged
"Addy just let them in" Ellie said going to the door but her arm was tugged back by Addy.
"Please don't... I just need... I need time to think.. please" Addy begged her and Ellie sighed before turning to face Warren and Cassandra and held her hand up and mouthed '5 minutes'. When they nodded she turned to see Addy had made her way to the bed and was now sat on it so she placed herself next to her.
"Tell me what's going through your head"
"I...i don't know what to do" Addy cried turning to face Ellie her eyes red from tears.
"Hey, hey it's ok" Ellie said pulling her into a side hug "Don't know what to do about what?"
"I am... I'm so tired of being scared all the time...of looking behind my back... being on constant guard... but here I feel safe"
"So what you saying.. you want to stay here?"
"I don't know...may-" A knock suddenly sounded followed by a voice
"Addy?" Helen said "Its me open the door" Addy quickly got up to unlock the door and Ellie stood up too and stood closer to the door not wanting to be close to Helen and she could see some of the other woman block the door so Warren and Cassandra couldn't get in. Helen and Addy made their way back to the bed and sat down. "Have you told her?" She asked Addy and Ellie knew what she was referring too.
"Has she told me she wants to stay here? Yeah it came up" Ellie said bitterly not keeping the glare off her face.
"You could stay here to if you wanted to"
"Yeah you should stay here, you'll be safe here" Addy said
Ellie scoffed before saying "Yeah somehow I doubt that..." Ellie paused knowing anger wasn't gonna help the situation she took a deep breath before continuing "Addy I get you want to be safe, I do...I really get that and my heart breaks for you knowing what you went through with your family. But what's happening right here isn't right"
"Yes it is" Addy denied going up to her and grabbing Ellie's hand
"No... no it isn't... Addy you just killed someone in cold blood, there was no proof that he was involved with those people and he begged you for his life and you shot him and let him turn... and how many times have we said to each other that if we were dying we'd want to be killed before we turned and you just made someone else go through that" Addy opened her mouth to say something but closed it soon afterwards like she didn't know how to respond.
"Addy did that to protect us" Helen said and Ellie groaned under her breath fed up of her constant interfering "She was brave enough to do the right thing"
"No" Ellie said shaking her head she pulled her hands out of Addy's and walked towards Helen "Addy did that because some psychotic bitch manipulated her by using her deepest and darkness memories to get her to do what she wanted her to do and it wouldn't surprise me if you have done it to all the woman her-" Ellie's head suddenly snapped to the side, a loud smack went through the room and Ellie brought up a hand to cradle her face. She didn't think she would go so far as to hit her. "Oh how nice" Ellie snarled angry tears burning in her eyes "And you really want to stay with this woman?" She demanded turning to face Addy who hadn't moved and wouldn't give her any eye contact.
"You were pretty mean" Addy said quietly sill not looking up
"Are you... You got to be kidding me?" Ellie said loudly and Addy flinched "So much for family... you know what stay here... break Mack's heart, abandon your family, forget about the cure and the fact that Garnet died for this mission. No you stay here with their zombie bear, or where thirteen year old has to defend for themselves in a zombie infested world and a woman who hits, manipulates and threatens just to get her own way. And if your happy to live with that then I don't know you any more, because the Addy I knew cared for others and would do anything to keep her family safe" Ellie waited to see if she would get a response and when Addy said nothing she could see Helen smirk. "Fine" Ellie mumbled under her breath and without looking at them she made her way to the door and opened it to see Warren and Cassandra standing there. "See if you can get through to her because I am done" Ellie said as Addy and Helen walked out.
"What happened to your f-"
"Not important right now" Ellie interrupted Warren as she came to a stop next to her.
"Go ahead tell them" Helen said and they were both smiling "Tell them what you told me"
"I'm made up my mind. I'm gonna stay here... with Helen"
"No. Addy" Cassandra said stepping forwards before another woman walked in interrupting themselves
Trouble at the gate we need you" The woman said
"Stay here you'll be safe" Helen said to Addy "Keep these here until we dealt with it" she said to anothr woman who nodded she then left with the first woman while the other one went and stood guard outside the building.
"Addy I know this place feels safe. It feels good" Cassandra said holding her arms " Well that's how I felt when I met Tobias, But it wasn't real. You, me and Ellie, we've been through so much together"
"Addison Carver" Warren said firmly seeing that Cassandra wasn't getting to her "Listen to me. Enough now. You got sucked into this thing, and you did something. And we all do things. But it is time for us to go. Now. All of us."
"You don't have to worry. I'm home now" Addy said happily and she gave Cassandra a hug then gave Warren one followed by a kiss on the cheek. She then walked over to Ellie who was struggling to hold back the tears. "Ellie please, I'm happy here. Please be happy for me"
"I can't... Addy you just stood there while she hit me because I told the truth and she didn't like it and you basically said I asked for it. I hate what your doing but I am gonna miss you. I saw you as my sister I just guess you never felt the same way"
"You will always be my sister" Addy said pulling Ellie into a hug and Ellie couldn't help but hug her back knowing this was probably the last time she would see her and it broke her heart and she could see it was breaking Warren and Cassandra's too.
Addy let her go and went back into the room and locked the door behind her leaving Ellie, Warren and Cassandra on their own. Ellie could see Warrens lip quivering as she held in the tears while Cassandra's fell freely.
"This is bullshit!" Ellie shouted swinging her arm and knocking some stuff of the table in anger making the other two flinch. "I wish we never came to this damn place, I wish we could start this whole day all over again, its been bad from the get go" she sighed slamming her back against the wall as she tried to calm down.
"Hey Ellie" Warren said coming over to her once she had pulled herself together. "First off is your face alright?" She asked and when Ellie nodded she continued "I know this is hard but you need to pull yourself together, hurting yourself is not gonna help anyone. Now I know this isn't just about Addy or Helen, you've been off since Citizen Z so what's wrong?"
"It's nothing" Ellie denied avoiding eye contact "And we've got enough problems without worry about me, and I'm sorry about that I just lost it for a second"
"No" Warren said shaking her head as she got up close and grabbed her hand with one hand and used her other one to lift up Ellie's chin forcing her to make eye contact. Ellie could see Cassandra was looking at her with concern too. "You don't get to do that, We've already lost Addy because she felt like she couldn't talk to us and someone got in her head and used that and that's not gonna happen to you. I cant help Addy she has made her choice and forcing her to leave is just gonna make it worse. But I can help you, so tell me what is bothering you"
"Um..." Ellie said sniffling as she tried to find the right words "After you lot spoke to Citizen Z and you left and I stayed he told me something... something that really scared me... the reason why he was so interested in my name, was because he had seen it before and my face... but he just didn't know it was me until then. He hadnt seen me till then just heard my first name, but he had seen my name and face in a file which was recently sent to him... from the same people who want Murphy in California. With the instructions to 'keep safe'"
"Why would they want you?" Cassandra asked as Warren stepped back letting Ellie go as she tried to get her head around it.
"I have no clue" Ellie admitted "I asked Citizen Z and he said he didn't know but I think he was lying, he wouldn't give me eye contact, he was fidgety and the conversation was rushed like he wanted to just tell me something so I would go... but it wasn't everything"
"Did he say anything else?" Warren asked finally saying something
"No" Ellie said on the verge of tears everything that happened today was getting to much for her "Warren what if they did something to me at the beginning of the apocalypse... I mean I woke up in a hospital after two months with no recollection of how I got there anything could off happened. What if the dreams I keep having is my minds way of remembering and I was really bitten and... I dunno given the same thing Murphy was given or something worse... what if I'm dangerous" Ellie said verging on hysteria"
"Hey, hey" Warren said gently taking Ellie's face in her hands as she wiped away the tears with her thumbs "What ever happened to you we will figure it out ok? and in regards with you being dangerous we all know that's not true. You are the most caring and kind hearted person I know who would never hurt anyone unless it was self defence and even then I know you don't like doing it... and I promise you when we get Murphy to California, we will find out what they want with you and I will do everything I my power to keep you safe ok?... Im not gonna let anything happen to you" Warren finished pulling Ellie into a hug and Cassandra joined in on the hug.
"We'll keep each other safe" Cassandra said and Ellie nodded pulling away she smiled at them both
"Thank you" She said gratefully "I just wish Addy was with us too" she said sadly and they both nodded
"Yeah me to" Warren said
"Me to, and even though I don't want to leave her behind... I cant wait to get out of this place" Cassandra said
"Well it looks like you're going to get your wish" Warren said and they all turned to see the one guarding the door coming with her gun pointed at them. The issue at the gate must have been sorted and now they had to leave.
They found out that the issue at the gate had been the man with the sunglasses earlier had survived and taken one of the woman hostage, she was outside the gate because she had taken a liking to Murphy but Mack had killed him. So now they were all back in the jeep including Addy who probably wanted to say good bye to Mack but none of them spoke to her and they drove them to the gate where Helen was waiting for them.
"She's coming, right?They heard Mack ask once the gate was open and they were all shoved through it.
"Yes, she's coming" Helen said and Addy hesitated "It's all right, Addy. Come here, please."
"Addy. Please?" Mack begged her when she got closer
"I will always love you, Mack" Addy said crying
"We don't do this. We don't leave each other"
Goodbye, Mack" Addy said turning back around and walking trough the gate
"No" Mack shouted rushing forward only to fall forward when he was shot and he landed on the floor with a groan. They saw Addy hesitate but she didn't stop them shooting at her friends.
"You shot him?!" Warren shouted coming to his side followed by Cassandra and Ellie
"It's a warning. Get him out of here now. Before it gets worse" Helen informed him and Ellie and Warren grabbed an arm each supporting his weight and he groaned out in pain.
"Get his gun" Warren said to Cassandra
"Addy!" Mack shouted as the gate started to shut and they made their way to the truck
"Come on, buddy" Warren said sadly
"Addy!" Mack shouted again once they reached the truck and 10k jumped down of the roof to open the boot and helped Cassandra inside
"What about Addy?" Doc asked
" She's not coming!" Warren said as they made their way to the door and the both managed to get a struggling Mack into the truck
" Let's go, Doc! Now!" Ellie shouted as she climbed in after Mack and shut the door before he tried to get out and Warren got into the passenger seat and they took off down the road
"Stop the truck." Mack demanded
"No." Warren shouted
"Stop the truck!"
"Keep driving!" Mack then did the unexpected and threw himself over Ellie and he opened the truck door and threw himself out while the truck was still moving and he rolled down the grass forcing Doc to come to a quick stop and Ellie and Warren rushed out the truck after him.
Once Mack had stopped rolling he quickly got up took out his gun and started making his way back to the camp but Ellie and Warren got in his way.
"Mack, Mack, Mack" Warren said trying to calm him down but he wouldn't stop and once he got fed up he aimed his gun at Ellie and Warren
"I can't"
"Mack she wouldn't want you to die for her" Ellie said sadly and she couldn't help the tear escape her eyes
"I can't leave her"
"Okay...Okay" Warren said steeping to the side and puling Ellie with her allowing Mack through.
Mack ran past them and around a big rock by a fence and it wasn't long before they could here gunshots and soon they were being fired at too so they quickly made their way back to the truck dodging bullets has they went.
"Get in!" Doc shouted as they reached the truck and climbed in slamming the door shut behind them and they took off down the road again.
No one said anything has they took off they were all in shock, having only just found them they lost two of their people again probably for good this time. Their group was getting smaller all the time and Cassandra was still hurt, Murphy looked worse everyday and now Ellie had the added issue of the people after Murphy being after her too and she had no idea why and that scared her but she knew the closer they got Murphy to California she knew the closer she was to getting the answers but she was also afraid of what she would find.
