Clunk! Charlie blinked his eyes open. The first thing he noticed as that the potted plant in the corner of the flat was knocked over, the second was the witch standing there, wearing nothing but a button down shirt and an embarrassed expression. Charlie sighed and tossed the blue-grey blanket off. It scratched his leg and he frowned. Crashing on Adrian Pucey's couch in Hogsmeade hadn't been part of his plans. Now, there was a witch staring at him.

"Sorry! I was trying to sneak out and..."

"It's fine, here, let's get it cleaned up. Adrian still asleep?"

"Like the dead, given how much he had to drink last night, doesn't surprise me. I can't believe this, I mean, this was so stupid!"

"Which part?" Charlie asked, waving his wand and watching the dirt waterfall back into the pot.

"Going home with Adrian, losing my shoes, crashing into this plant, take your pick."

"Adrian hurt you?" Charlie asked. He'd known Adrian in school, they'd been rivals on the pitch, knew he had a mean streak to him, but it wasn't as if Charlie had chosen to be roommates with him for the duration of the Triwizard Tournament. He needed to be close to the school because of the dragons and he did not want to stay at Hogwarts.

"No, everything I did was my own bloody choice. You look familiar, I think, you're Percy's brother aren't you?"

"Out of all the things I've been called, that's the first time I've been called that, but yes, I'm Charlie."

"Penelope. I dated Percy, for like a month. Yet another one of my stupid decisions. You'd think I'd be a bit smarter, I mean, I was a Ravenclaw after all."

"Guess dating wisdom isn't part of being wise," Charlie laughed. Penelope smiled, tucking a strand of her dark hair behind her ear.

"There's nothing going on between me and Adrian, it was just a stupid drunken night of bad choices. I was going to sneak out and get some breakfast before heading up to the school. I heard they're going to have dragons!"

"They are," Charlie answered, a smile crossing his face. "I could get you in to see them?" he offered.

"Ohhh, I'd love to see one. But first, breakfast and maybe some proper clothing for both of us?" Penelope suggested, nodding to Charlie's bare chest and her own bare legs.

"Clothing does sound good, I've a few spare things I could transfigure for you, they'd still be fire-resistant, although probably not the most stylish."

"That sounds fine, I always was a practical over pretty kind of girl," Penelope laughed. Charlie pulled the clothing from his bag, transfiguring it and shrinking it slightly to fit Penelope. She slipped into the loo to dress while Charlie dressed in the living room.

"Ready," she announced, stepping out. Charlie blinked, he'd known he was decent at transfiguration, but the way the clothing fit Penelope, the way it hugged her, he hadn't realized he was that good.

"Right, let me tell Adrian we're leaving so he doesn't worry, if he even remembers you were here to begin with," Charlie laughed, walking over and calling through Adrian's door.

"I'm leaving for Hogwarts, taking Penelope with me, see you later."

He was answered with a groan and some mumbled words that Charlie took to mean Adrian would see them later.

"Ready then," he said, offering Penelope his arm as they stepped out of the flat and onto the bustling street to grab a bite to eat before seeing the dragons.
