Season 2 Episode One Part One
Warren's Pov
Driving away from the lab Warrens kept glancing in the rear mirror to see the missile heading in that direction. When a bright light filled the sky when the missile hit its target, 10k turned as-well and even Doc attempted to pull himself up from the back-seat though injured and they could all see a big cloud of black smoke fill the air above the lab. The force of the explosion sent a dust cloud their way and Warren put her foot down as they tried to outdrive it but it was catching up quickly, when 10k suddenly pointed out a path to their right and Warren quickly jerked the truck in that direction which led them to a tunnel.
Just as they made it to the tunnel the blast reached them and it knocked the back end of the vehicle sending them flying through the air, they spun a few times until the truck came to a stop on its roof. Both Warren and 10k were wearing their seatbelts so they were still secure though upside down and only had a few cuts and bruises however Doc wasn't so lucky he was currently lying flat on the roof, but thankfully other than some cuts and bruises as-well and the already present gunshot wound he was ok.
10k and Warren managed to shuffle themselves out of the broken windows and then 10k helped Doc out who groaned in pain and as soon as he was out grabbing hold of his shoulder.
"Ow, ow. Watch the shoulder" He moaned as he struggled to walk with 10k's support and they all made their way around to the front of the truck where they could now see the entrance of the tunnel " Holy shit. Is that snow?" Doc said gesturing to the white stuff filling the sky
"Nah, that's not snow" Warren explained "That's ash. Radioactive fallout"
Addy's Pov
Standing outside the destroyed house Addy was currently standing on one of the girls from the camp, she had turned and was now trying her hardest to get to Addy. She used her bat to pike the z and it went limp, breathing heavily Addy turned to see Mack with a solemn look on his face standing a few feet behind her. But she wasn't surprised she knew he had been keeping an eye on her
"They're all dead" She explained tearfully turning away from him to look at the z on the ground
"How?" Mack asked
"We were on the hill, watching the lights"
"I think those were nukes"
"That's what I thought, Figured what was left of the world was trying to kill itself. Anyway, the boy they banished 'cause he'd turned 13? He figured it out. He came back. Set the whole place on fire. And released the zombie bear.
"Well, sounds like she was right about men"
"Look, Mack..." Addy said turning to look at him but he just shook his head and she knew he understood why she did it. He then turned and walked back to his bike when they both heard the bear suddenly growl.
"Bear?" Mack asked turning slightly
"Yeah" Addy whispered but Mack heard her
"Are you coming or not?" He asked her getting onto the bike and starting the engine. Addy sighed looking back at the burned down building she nodded before walking over to Mack and climbing on and they took off through the forest.
Murphy's Pov
He drove the van into a town and came across a clothes store figuring that walking around with no shirt on and just boxers probably wasn't a great idea so he pulled to a stop. Getting out of the van he walked over to the passenger seat and opened the door, Ellie was still out cold which Murphy was grateful for he knew he was going to get an earful when she woke up. Picking her up he made his way into the store and once inside he saw a few zombies wandering around, which he was easily able to get under his control so they left them alone. He then placed Ellie down so her back supported by a shelf in the middle of the store, he was able to still see her and no-one could creep up on her and so she wasn't able to leg it out the door which he didn't think she would do but just in case. He also made sure she didn't have her gun or cross bow just in case she planned on threatening him, but he left her knifes alone not wanting her vulnerable encase some unwanted guests came along.
Once Ellie was comfortable he started making his way around the shop to find something decent to wear, he found some headphones and a CD player and was now listening to some music as he walked. He also found a red kimono to wear while he looked for something else. Looking through the shelves and stands of clothes, he threw possible choices of clothing at the z's currently trailing him. He found a grey jacket he like and chucked it over a male z's head, he also found a couple of gold watches that he put on straight away. He then made his way to the changing rooms.
"Come along, little doggies." Murphy said to the z's once he was out of the changing rooms and he walked through the shop and past Ellie who was still out of it, he must of hit her harder then he thought but she was still breathing so he knew she was alright. "I found a new set of digs I think you're gonna like" He was now wearing a black fedora hat, a black shirt and grey jacket and some pants. "Hey. That's a real set of Callaways
you're dragging there, Some respect" He said to one of the z's who was dragging some clothes on the floor.
"Hey, friend" A male voice said suddenly behind him and the zombies snarled as Murphy turned to look at him to reveal a younger man wearing a cap, top and some joggers with a gun strapped to his waist and back.
"Friend?" Murphy asked him trying to sound tough but he was a bit nervous, he had the zombies but he didn't want them getting hurt and Ellie was still unconscious but luckily enough where he placed her was covered by another shelf so this stranger couldn't see her as long as she didnt wake up and alert him to her location.
Ellie's Pov
Coming too Ellie felt like she was submerged under water, and it took her a few seconds to remember what had happened but then the banging headache probably didn't help. Trying to piece her thoughts together Ellie struggled to open her eyes and when she did she shut them just has quickly with a small wince the bright light hurting her eyes.
Coming to more awareness Ellie realised she could hear voices but she struggled to understand what they were saying, focusing on the voices they become clearer and she managed to recognise Murphy's and then she remembered that he had knocked her out. But she could also hear another voice, one she didn't recognise so she tried to open her eyes slowly this time so her eyes adjusted to the light. Once her eyes were open she realised she was in a store but other than that she didn't have a clue where she was.
Turning her head to the right with great difficulty her whole body felt like led, she managed to make out a male figure standing there through a gap in a clothes stand which covered her location. She struggled to grasp what they were saying but by the sound on Murphy's voice she knew he wasn't a friendly, looking down at her body she saw that her gun and cross bow was gone but she still had her knifes. She was grateful that she was still armed but a knife would mean she would have to get close without him spotting her, and on any normal day would be a breeze but injured she knew was going to be harder but there was no other option, she knew Murphy could talk for Britain but she also knew that someone else could only take so much before they lost their patients.
"Doing a little...shopping, huh?" She heard the man say clearly and she knew her mind had fully focussed now, so this was the best time to go. Using the shelf as support she managed to quietly pull herself up with out any trouble. Looking over the shelf she was leaning on she saw Murphy standing their with several z's around him.
"Presidents Day sale" Murphy said and Ellie turned made her way slowly to the clothes self opposite her
"These zombies of yours are pretty tame"
"They're not my zombies. I would never own a..." He trailed of "Can I help you, friend?"
"You can start by stepping aside" The man said and Ellie heard him cock his gun before he fired multiple shots and Ellie's eyes widened and she went to run towards them even if she got shot in the process but stopped when he only heard zombies grunting.
"What the hell did you do that for?" Murphy asked and Ellie stepped forward slightly still out of sight behind a mannequin. But then her vision decided it was the best time to go blurry and she stumbled but she was able to quickly catch herself without making a noise. Shaking her head to clear the fog out of her head she was able to see Murphy unharmed but angry with mercied zombies at his feet.
"Your name Murphy?" The man asked
"Nope" Murphy said and Ellie mentally face palmed it was so obvious he was lying and the stranger thought do to. Lifting up a voice recorder to pushed a button and a very familiar voice filled the room.
"His name is Murphy, last seen in Fort Collins, Colorado. 6'2", dark hair, numerous bite marks on torso. Known to control zombies. Should be considered armed and dangerous. Keep alive at all cost. Repeat. Keep him ali..." The voice cut off when he switched it off and Ellie could see Murphy trying to figure a way out of it. While Ellie was thinking of ways she could kill Citizen Z, what an idiot who broadcasts someone with an immunity to a world overcome by the dead, he knows what type of people of out there. She was just glad he didn't know about her immunity or it be both of them in trouble.
"You're sure you're not THE Murphy?" The man said bringing Ellie back to the present and their quickly escalating situation and she could see the man walking forward with his gun raised "'Cause right now, that's the only thing keeping you alive. "Show me your bites"
"I beg your pardon?"
"You heard me. Lift up your shirt. Need to see those bites. Gotta make sure you're the real thing" The man said and Ellie saw him open up his top to show his bites on his chest. "Those are bites?"
"They were They're healing nicely, thank you." Murphy said doing up his top again " OK, so, what if I am The Murphy, whatever the hell that means? So what?"
"So..." The guy said laughing "Everybody and their uncle's looking for you. Government's paying a bounty
on your ass"
"Look, I got a whole van full of Oxy if that's what you want. How 'bout you take half and I'll just be on my way?"
"How 'bout I take the Oxy and you to California for that bounty?" The man said and Ellie took her chance as she slowly walked towards him and she saw Murphys eyes glance at her before looking back at him.
"You're gonna take me to California? By yourself?"
"Damn straight" The man said and Murphy burst out laughing
"Sorry. Sorry" Murphy said once he calmed down and Ellie chose this moment to announce her arrival.
"You're not taking him anywhere" She said calmly as she pushed the knife into his lower back and she saw him flinch slightly
"Friend of yours?" He said to Murphy as he glanced behind him to see her standing there and even though she had a knife pointing in his back he didn't seem worried. "She's not going to stop me"
"You're insane" Murphy snarled a bit put off by his lack of reaction but then Ellie jumped when she heard Murphy yell out in pain and fall to the floor and that's when she saw a taser in the guys hand.
"Murphy!" She shouted going to stab the man in the back when he suddenly turned and grabbed her wrist.
"Hi there" He said to her smirking as she tried to pull her wrist out of his grip and when she couldn't she changed tactics, stamping on his foot the man released a gasp she then used her other hand to punch him across the face. But it was slopy and the man barley flinched, and he responded by backhanding her across the face and she went tumbling to the floor with a shout of pain. Her knife clattered to the floor and when she turned to try and reach it the man kicked her harshly in the stomach the force sending her on her back, coughing as she struggled to catch her breath. Once he knew she wasn't going to get up he went back to Murphy.
"That's right. I'm insane. And you're my prisoner." He said getting into his face and Ellie used her hands to try and drag herself towards her knife "Don't worry, Mr Murphy. I won't kill you. But I will hurt you real bad
if I need to. You understand me? Do you..." Ellie was in reaching distance of her knife when she heard a squelch and turning her head she saw Cassandra with her back to her with a axe in her hand which she just used to the kill the man.
"Cassandra?" Murphy said standing up "Oh, I didn't know if I'd ever see you again"
Ellie froze what she as doing her muddled brain struggling to understand hat just happened when Cassandra suddenly charged at Murphy she jumped on him wrapping her legs around his waist as she tried to get as close as possible, moaning as she did so.
"Oh, oh! OK" Murphy said "Yeah. Good to see you too. Alright. Come on. Let's break it up here" He said to her when she didnt let up and he pulled her hands of him and put her down
"Bomb..." Cassanadra said but it was like she was struggling to talk
"Bomb. Bomb bad. Yeah. Listen. It's not safe here. We all need to get out of here. OK?" He said to Cassandra his eyes glancing towards Ellie who was still on the floor, Her ears were ringing her head was pounding she definitely had a concussion.
"But first, you need a makeover, girl" Murphy said looking back at Cassandra but they were all interrupted when the guy on the floor suddenly lurched up coughing and moaning, he had turned.
Ellie went to grab her knife when she saw something better. Thr strangers gun, she managed to grab the gun and pull herself up at the same time Cassandra growled and went to step forward but Murphy stopped her. Ellie stepped forward then getting ready to shoot him when her vision went dark and she stumbled again and she grabbed hold of the shelf to keep herself up. She shook her head to clear her vision and when she was sure she wasn't going to kneel over to turned and raised her gun again but faltered when she saw Murphy in the way.
"No,no. No,no. No mercy for that one. I got plans for him" Murphy said to her holding his hand up in her direction when she heard Cassandra growl, she clearly didn't like a gun pointed at Murphy. "Cassandra I'm fine, Ellie's not going to hurt me. Ellie put the gun down, he's not going to hurt you and neither is Cassandra. Trust me" He said trying to coax her to put the gun down.
"What did... What did you do to her?" Ellie said not lowering her gun as she struggled to get her words out. But she could tell Murphy could see how her hand shook with the gun and how much effort it was taking for her to stand.
"I will explain everything to you, but when we are away from here. Just put the gun down" Murphy said stepping forward so the gun touched his chest "Put it down" He said again and that's when Ellie's body decided enough was enough, she dropped the gun and her legs gave way. Murphy caught her around the waist as he helped ease her gently to the floor, her head resting against the shelf. "You're ok, you rest here a bit while we do some shopping" Grabbing her gun he then raised to his full height he patted her gently on the shoulder before going back to Cassandra and grabbing her hand.
Murphy's Pov
Once they had found some clothes he sent Cassandra to the changing rooms.
"Come on" He said to her. Once they had found some clothes he sent Cassandra to the changing rooms. He then walked through the isle and picked up some articles of clothing for him and Ellie before chucking them at the guy who growled " Yeah, well, you should've thought about that before you shot those innocent zombies, shouldn't you?"
Coming to the end of the isle he saw Cassandra standing there in a white coat. "Let me see. Yeah. I told you that white mink would pull it all together, didn't I? Classy"
"Classy" Cassandra whispered back to him
"Let's get out of here." He said grabbing her hand "Come along, Mr I'm So Badass" Walking back towards Ellie he knelt in front of her and as if sensing him she opened her eyes but they were glazed over like she wasn't fully seeing him and he knew that being hit in the face twice probably gave her a concussion.
"Lets get out of here" He said to her putting his one arm under her legs and one behind her back and he pulled her into him as he lifted her up of the floor, Ellie groaned slightly and she placed her head on his shoulder.
Walking over to the door of the store he pushed it slightly open with his back to make sure the coast was clear and when he saw it was he opened it fully and gestured for the others to go "Let's go" He said to them and once they were out he followed with Ellie.
Warren's pov
They were walking through what was like a wasteland. There was dead bushes and plants everywhere and broken furniture scattered all around. They all had scarfs around their mouths so they didn't breath in the ash, 10k was helping Doc walk while Warren was close next to him just in case. Which was a good thing when Doc stumbled and he groaned while Warren grabbed his arm to help keep him up.
"Ok" Warren said as she helped 10k walk him over to some rubble he could sit on "Let's get you over here... What is it?" Warren asked 10k who was checking Doc wound.
"The bleeding stopped, but..."
"Just go!" Doc sighed "Find me a hole to crawl in. Leave me a weapon and some ammo"
"Hey. Nobody's leaving you here to die" Warren denied before taking a water canteen out of her bag and she past it to Doc "Here. Take the last of the water. Go on. Pretty weak myself, We wait here too long, we might be too weak to go look for help. I've only got a day in me without water, if that"
"Well, I don't think I'm going anywhere, Chief" Doc said weakly
"10K, you stay here with Doc" Warren said sighing "I'm gonna see if I can find food or help while I still got the strength. If I'm not back in 48 hours...you're on your own"
"Good luck" 10k said
"Thanks" She said pulling up the scarf around her neck to cover her mouth and nose before she took of down the road and away from Doc and 10K
Addy's Pov
Addy was currently sat on a bumper of a car fiddling with a radio, the car antenna and her z whacker trying her hardest to be able to contact someone, while Mack was pulling out some wires by the cell tower
"If this works, Warren and the others will be able to see the signal for miles" Mack said walking back to Addy " Find something?"
"No" Addy denied "It's just that same recorded broadcast again and again. I hope he's OK up there" Citizens z's voice was coming out of the radio with the same emergency broadcast about Murphy. Turning the channel in revealed another voice one they didn't recognise but one they had heard before "Just that same
weird numbers station again. You know, that's got to be some sort of code."
"Wonder who needs to keep a secret any more" Mack said leaning down to his cut wires as he tried to connect the two wires to kick start the tower.
Addy turned the dial on the radio again and a males voice sounded out talking in Spanish followed by a women's voice.
" What?" Addy whispered as she tried to get the signal back
"Who was that?" Mack asked walking over to Addy
"I don't know, but they were talking about Murphy...It was something in Spanish and, I don't know, maybe Mandarin? Do you think that means he's still alive?"
"The question is... ...we really still care if he's alive?"
" If You don't care if he's still alive, why are you trying to contact Warren and the others, huh?"
"Got nothing else to do, Addy"
Warren's Pov
Walking through a forest Warren could feel her strength fading fast, she tried to keep walking but her legs gave out and she fell to her knees with a thud and a grunt. Sitting down Warren tried to get her breath back, when she fell backwards so she was now lying flat on her back. "Come on, Warren" She whispered to herself "Don't die before you can kill yourself"
Pulling herself up to a sitting position which was harder than expected she pulled her gun out of her waistband and she checked how many bullets she had. "Three more bullets than I need" She whispered closing the chamber "Sorry, Doc. Sorry, 10K. Sorry Ellie. I tried. I tried." Loading the gun Warren lifted it slowly to her head "Lieutenant Roberta Warren...I...give you mercy-"
"Help me!" Warren paused when she could hear a girl screaming in the distance followed by growls and more screams. Putting the gun down Warren struggled to her feet and went in the direction of the screams.
When she got their she saw a little girl surrounded by a few zombies as she tried to fend them off with a garden hoe but the zombies kept coming. Racing forward Warren stabbed the closet one in the head with her hatchet, she used her gun to mercy some of the others before swinging a zombie over her shoulders and on the floor when he got close before stabbing him in the head. She then used her hatchet to stab two in the stomach keeping them close before shooting the one in the head which exited his brain to go in the other one. Killing them both in one shot.
Warren turned then to see one more zombie which was after the girl who was trying to fend off but the zombie grabbed hold of the garden hoe so Warren raced forward pushing the girl out of the way who ran for cover. Warren used the stick to hook one of its feet and pulled sending it to the floor she then impaled it through the head. She stumbled over to her hatchet which was still in the stomach of a z and when she kneeled to pull it out she heard growling behind her. Pulling it out quickly she swung around and chopped of one of its arms with a grunt before swiping at its feet sending him to the floor which she then chopped of its head. Once the z was dead Warren knew her body was at breaking point, her vision was going dark and nothing could stop her from falling backwards and she knew no more.
Murphy's Pov
Driving around for a little while Murphy took them to a bar he found. Ellie had fallen asleep quickly in the drive and Murphy couldn't help but worry a little but she was breathing normally, he woke her up for a few minutes to give her a drink and she seemed alright if not a bit dazed but she fell asleep again.
She was now resting on the bar with a jacket under her head as a pillow while Murphy carried a lantern so he could see.
"Found this place about a week ago" Murphy explained to his zombie friend and Cassandra " Looters missed the stash of food and booze in the basement. Guess all the zombies in here kept out the riff raff" Laughing he carried on "Wait till I show you what I've been teaching the locals" Turning towards Cassandra he found she wasn't there "Cassandra? Hey, where'd you go?"
Looking around he found her staring into a mirror at her experience, pulling her coat open to reveal a gold two piece made up of short shorts and a sports bra and some tights. "Do you like what I picked out for you?" Murphy said walking towards her.
"Yes." She whispered as she spun in the mirror to see what in looked like at the back when she felt someone come up behind which she assumed was Murphy but when she heard a growl she panicked and nudged the zombie away before turning around and kicking him in the stomach and he went flying into a table. Which made Murphy laugh
"Don't be afraid. He won't bite. And even if he did, you're immune, remember?" Murphy said
"I'm not a zombie"
"I know. You're better. I've been working on my zombie whispering. Come on. Let me show you" Murphy led her other to two other zombies girls in stripper outfits " This is Telulah and Gigi. Check this out." he pulled Cassandra to some seats and they sat down and he turned on his torch and shone it on them like it was a spotlight "Ladies. Let's show her what we've been working on." the two zombies turned to each other and started kissing but then they started getting violent "Oh, come on. Come on, ladies! That's not right"
The zombies ignored him and started biting at each others faces tearing away flesh
"Ladies! Ladies, please! We talked about this." Murphy managed to get them apart from each other when he heard a soft groaning coming from the bar. "Leave" he said to the two girls and they made their way out.
Murphy tuned towards the bar to see Ellie was indeed stirring and he knew he was in for an earful. "I think we were too loud" Murphy joked to Cassandra as he walked past her and she got up and followed, stopping a few feet away from them in the shadows so Ellie couldn't see her.
Coming to a stop by Ellie he waited patiently for her to come to full awareness and when he saw her eyebrows furrowed he knew she was. Ellie slowly opened her eyes and Murphy waited till her eyes met his before speaking "Good Morning sunshine" He said and he saw her wince.
Ellie's Pov
Coming to awareness everything was quiet apart from her banging head and a dull ache in her ribs she could feel she was lying on something cold but hard but her head was resting on something soft. Opening her eyes she saw she was in a dark room, but then her eyes come to focus on Murphys who smiled brightly at her when he saw her looking before saying "Good Morning Sunshine" A bit loud for her head and she winced which he noticed "Sorry" He said quieter this time.
"Where are we?" Ellie asked him trying to sit up but groaned and started to go sideways when a dizzy spell hit her but Murphy was quickly behind her helping her sit up and he only moved when he was sure she was stable before he returned to stand in-front of her.
"You might want to take if easy for a little while your head took quite a beating and so did your ribs" Murphy said to her "And for as where we are, we are currently in a bar. You hungry we got food?"
"Why are we in a b..." Ellie trailed off when she started remembering what happened "Where's Warren and the others?" She asked Murphy staring him in the eyes.
"We got plenty of time to discu-"
"Where are they?!" Ellie asked louder this time and she swung her legs around on what she realised was a bar and jumped off to stand next to it, freezing for a few seconds to make sure she wasn't going to fall over.
"Ellie" Murphy complained and went to step forward but froze when Ellie sent him a deadly glare.
"Are they alive?"
"I don't know" Murphy sighed figuring he wasn't going to get away with not answering
"No because you left them" Ellie said "You panicked and once again only thought of yourself and putting everyone else in danger"
"I brought you with me didn't I?"
"And the only reason you did that was probably so you would have someone to protect you or so you wouldn't be alone. Because I know you can control the zombies properly now but if you have a group of people on your arse it's not going to be long before the z's would be dead, so you need someone to fight."
"Do you really think so little of me?" Murphy said and he genuinely looked offended "Ellie I took you with me because I found out your the only family I got left, I thought my family was dead not that was a great loss but then I found out who you really were, that I was a dad and I wasn't going to lose that"
"We are not family" Ellie snarled "Family doesn't abandon each other, my mother was so in love with you and she was so excited when she found out she was pregnant but you threw that in her face. She was heartbroken, questioning herself on whether she could raise me by myself but in the end she didn't have to. A few months after I was born she met my father who was willing and happy to raise another man's child as his own. So no we are not family and your are certainly not my father, he and my mother are probably dead. You are just a sperm donor, nothing more nothing less"
The look on Murphy's face almost made her feel guilty but she quickly shook that off, he had knocked her out, taken her against her will possibly killed the others in the process and now because he found out he was her biological father that it gave him some rights, well he was 23 years too late for that.
"Deny it all you want Ellie but my blood runs through your veins and I made mistakes ones I deeply regret but now that I have you back I am going to do everything in my power to keep you safe"
"I want to leave" Ellie said not liking that way he said that and she turned on the spot and rushed to the door but had to quickly pull to a stop when a figure rushed in front of her, which turned out to be Cassandra who growled softly at her like she was warning her to try and leave
"You're not leaving Ellie" Murphys said from behind her "You're are injured and need to rest"
"You cant keep me here and you participated in me being injured and what have you done to Cassandra" Ellie said turning to look at him and she saw him wince.
"I am sorry about that, but I needed to get you out and I knew you wouldn't come willingly"
"Damn right I wouldn't have, if you hadn't run in the first place the fail safe wouldn't have been activated and we would all still be together and if Warren and the others are really dead I will never forgive and I will fight you all the way" She promised him as he slowly walked towards her like he was trying to intimidate her. "Now what have you done to Cassandra"
"I made her better" Murphy said coming to a stop in front of her and he gestured for Cassandra to come stand next to him "She was dying and I helped her"
"By biting her, did you ask her before you did because I very doubt it and the Cassandra I knew wouldn't want this" Ellie said looking her up and down "And you know what she went through with Tobias and you have the audacity to dress her like that?"
"She likes it" Murphy defended himself "And at least she is still alive which is not what your going to be if you leave in your condition"
"I'm not listening to this, I need to see if I can find Warren and the others" Turning on the spot before Murphy could say another word Ellie walked forward when he world tipped sideways and she felt herself stumble into a chair but she managed to stabilise herself by gripping onto said chair. Shaking her head to clear the fog she turned to glare at Murphy who she heard step forward and when he saw her glare he stopped and raised his arms but he had a pleading look on his face.
"Ellie I get you don't want to be here, I really do" Murphy said lowering his arms and slowly stepped forwards and when Ellie didn't protest he continued "But if you go out there now, with what no doubt is a concussion then you are not going to be any help to anyone because you are going to be dead. You can barley stand straight do you really think your going to be able to wield a weapon right now?" Murphy was standing in front of her now his hands loose by his sides prepared in case she fell again. "If you wont stay for me then stay for yourself. Rest for a little bit and then I'll even help you find Warren and the others"
Ellie was conflicted when she looked into Murphy's pleading eyes, she really didn't want to be around them especially after what Murphy did to Cassandra and the fact that he was currently keeping a newly turned zombie as his plaything. She also was in a rush to see if the others survived , but her head was pounding and she was struggling to concentrate she knew if she went out there on her own she wouldn't survive.
"Fine" Ellie conceded letting out a sigh "But only for a little while and then I'm gone with or without you, and if you try to stop me with Cassandra I wont hesitate to end her, because that is not Cassandra any more"
"That's all I ask" Murphy said a little smile on his face as he ignored the last thing she said and he lifted his arm to warp it around Ellie's shoulder to help her walk when she quickly backed away from him and further into the chair making it scrape across the floor and she winced from the noise.
"I don't need your help" She said harshly once she had recovered. Ignoring the hurt look that flashed across Murphys face she walked past him to booth in the corner where she led down her back facing them hoping they would leave her alone.
Warren's Pov
Warren woke up to a sound of a kettle boiling in the background to find herself on her stomach and led on a very comfortable bed. Looking around she saw she was in a bedroom and she was alone, rolling onto her back Warren groaned in pain her body protesting the movement, she then managed to pull herself to her feet. Looking down at herself she released her weapons were gone, she found a lit candle and quickly blew it out, and took the wax off the holder and lifted it up. It wasn't much but it was something she could defend herself with.
Opening the door as quietly as possible she stated waking down a long corridor, getting near the end of the corridor Warren froze when a little boy came out from another corridor to her left and he jumped dropping the bowl in his hands and it crashed to the floor. The noise also attracted the girl who she had helped earlier who smiled when she saw her.
"She's awake. The lady's awake" She announced probably to her parents and Warren smiled slightly when she realized she wasn't in any danger and she lowered the candlestick. The little girl led her to a table where a man and Woman were standing "Mama, Papa, I want you to meet my hero."
"Please, sit down and eat" The mother said smiling at her but the father looked more on guard "You must be starving"
Warren made her way to a chair, looking down at the table she saw loads of food, such as breads and salads and it made her mouth water. Going to sit down Warren stumbled and she basically fell into the chair and probably would of fallen off it if it wasn't for the father who held onto her shoulders.
"Thank you" Warren said turning to look a the man and then the woman who just smiled at her and then they all took a seat around her. Warren wasted no time in picking up a full cup and draining it dry her parched mouth grateful for the liquid. She waited till the family started eating before she also started and she seriously thought she died and went to heaven. The food was that good, it almost made her sad to leave but she knew she would have to soon.
