After the call, Danny decides to head to Eli's neighbor's apartment to rest. But then, when Danny phases into the wall, invisible, he sees a middle-aged man wearing a grey suit walking around the bedroom, seeing his bedsheets mess up.

"Uh oh, this must be Eli's neighbor," Danny thought.

The neighbor groans in frustration. "Alright, someone has been in my apartment, first my kitchen, then the living room, and now my bed. How the hell did someone get inside of my apartment? I'm calling the cops,"

The neighbor reached down to his pocket and pulled out his phone. Danny goes back to Eli's apartment; as he and Riley read comics together in the living room, Danny turns visible.

"Danny, I thought you were going to rest?" said Eli

"Yeah, your neighbor is back, Eli, and he notices that someone has been in his home. So I need a new place to rest," said Danny

"Um, you could try to stay at an apartment that's not being use,"

"Then there going to be a pattern of someone breaking into people apartment, so no,"

"How about you stay with me?" said Riley

"Really?" said Eli

"I mean, my home is just not that far from Eli's apartment, and besides, my mom is busy with work. I'm usually by myself, and she wouldn't notice someone else living there,"

"And where do I sleep?" said Danny

"You can sleep in the attic. It's pretty spaces, and you couldn't hear a thing up there,"

"I don't mind sleeping in an attic,"

"So Eli, you don't mind Danny staying over at my place?"

"Sure, I guess better than sleeping in the street," said Eli

"Great, when my mom picks me up in the next hour, you can just follow us, Danny,"

"Sounds like a plan,"

An hour later, Riley gets out of Eli's apartment building with Danny invisible and floating a few feet above her. Then a white sedan parked at the street curb next to Riley. She gets in the car backseat. Inside the car is a woman in her mid-30s, she has long brown hair and green eyes. She wore black square glasses, white lab clothes, and black shoes.

"Hey, mom," said Riley

"Hello, Riley, how is Eli?" said Riley mom

"He's fine, mom,"

"I heard there was a large fight near Eli's apartment. I hope you didn't go near it,"

"No, I didn't, mom,"

"Good, now I still have some paperwork at work, so I'm going to drop you off at home and make sure to lock the doors and turn on the lights when it gets dark,"

"Okay, mom,"

"And you can order pizza for dinner the money on the kitchen counter,"

"Alright, mom,"

Riley's mom starts the drive home, and Danny follows Riley's mom's car from the air. About a 30-minute drive, Riley's mom drops Riley off at her home, a two-story house. Riley walked into the house, and a few seconds later, Danny phased into the house. He made himself visible and came up to Riley.

"Welcome to mi casa," said Riley

"Where did your mom go?" said Danny

"She went back to work. She works for S.T.A.R. Labs,"

"So she's a scientist?"

"Yep, she's really good at fixing things and sometimes she handles Stars labs business deal,"

"Cool,"

"Anyway, I'll give you a tour of my home,"

Riley shows Danny around the house where there were about four rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living, and a dining room. They go to the attic. There were several boxes, Christmas dedications, and a couple of old furniture pieces like a small brown couch, a rocking chair, and a baby crib.

"You can sleep on the couch, and I'll just give you a blanket and pillow from the guest room," said Riley

The tour's last stop is the fireplace, where Danny notices a family portrait on the fireplace. In the portrait is Riley, her mom, her dad, who has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pierced ear. The dad is holding a five-month-old baby girl.

"Hey Riley, where is your dad and your sister?" said Dany

"Oh...t-they not around anymore they pass away," said Riley as her

"I'm sorry,"

"It's alright l-lets just move on," Danny could see Riley was about to cry, but she holds herself together and changes the subject "hey, do you want to eat some pizza,"

"Sure, Riley," then Danny thought, "I guess their death happen recently...she feeling what I felt years ago still bits of it today,"

Outside of Gotham, there is a large and gothic mansion that has magic energy surrounding it. This mansion is Shadowcrest, owned by Zatanna Zatara. Inside, Zatanna and Batman look around the mansion library for a specific book that Zatanna read a few years ago. The library is large and has hundreds of books that each contain something about the occult or magic. Batman was on the second floor of the library, and Zatanna was on the first floor, putting a red book back into a shelf.

"What book are we looking for?" said Batman

"I remember the book I read was red and had a green symbol on the center," said Zatanna

Batman looks at a few shelves and finds a red book on one of the shelves. He pulls the book out to find that it is not the book they're looking for.

Batman then heard Zatanna yell out, "I found it," Zatanna teleported in front of Batman.

Zatanna was holding a thick red and green book. In the center of the book is a green symbol of a flaming crown.

"I remember this book now. The book has information and history about the infamous Pariah Dark,"

"Who is that,"

Zatanna open the book "Tyrannical ruler of all ghosts that were sealed away in a sarcophagus centuries ago,"

"And this might be a connection to Danny Phantom?"

"Perhaps let's see in the book,"

Zatanna goes to a page with Pariah Dark's drawing with his white skin, green hair, beard, horn, and a scar on his right eye. He wore full black armor, a black eye patch, and the stand-out points are the ring and crown.

Zatanna looks at the ring, and it matches the ring Danny wore. "Ha, I knew it. I recognize Danny ring from somewhere,"

"And what's the ring about?"

Zatanna flip a few pages to find the ring "it's the Ring of Rage that gives the user unlimited power and absolute might,"

"Then the next question is, where did Danny get the ring?"

Zatanna closes the book, "more importantly, is Pariah Dark free? If so, then we're in trouble,"

"We need to find Danny,"

Later at night, back at Riley's house, Danny was asleep in the attic where he was dreaming. In the dream, Danny was fourteen again, flying in the sky in his ghost form and enjoying the flight. Suddenly everything turns dark, and Danny can't see anything for a moment until he sees that he is on the ground. His hand and his chest are covered in blood. Then someone limps into Danny's view. It was an undead goth girl with one of her eyes missing, half of her head has burn marks, and part of the girl's brain can be seen, blood dripping from her mouth, and her bones were sticking out. Her clothes were ripped and torn as her tank top has holes and burn marks, and her skirt is ripped and has bloodstain.

"S-sam," said Danny

Sam says to Danny in a raspy voice, "Why didn't you save me," then Sam runs up to Danny, looking him in the eyes, and she grabs his head and screams, "WHY DIdn'T yOu SaVe ME!"

Then Danny wakes up feeling the sweat down on his back and forehead. Danny holds himself. "God, that might be the worst one yet. I'm seriously thinking about going to therapy for this," Danny thought. He sighs and goes back to his sleep slowly.
