Warning: murder, cheating
She'd become a vengeful spirit, sworn to save others from the fate she'd been condemned to. After Ron cheated, after he'd destroyed her heart. She'd confronted him, begging him to tell her it wasn't true. He didn't bother lying, didn't bother telling her that he loved her.
No, it was over. She screamed she wouldn't take this, that she deserved better than this. She remembered him shaking his head, saying that he'd never be happy with her screaming like a harpy in his ear. His mother had been the one who thought they belonged together. Ron simply thought she was boring, safe, but he didn't want to live boring and safe anymore. She knew she had said something else, but now...
The next part was hazy, but she woke, dead, a spirit, her body floating in an abandoned well. She knew what she must do, how she must keep the same fate from happening to another, that's why she hadn't moved on, wasn't it? She wished she'd paid a little more attention to the Hogwarts' ghosts, wished she'd learned why some moved on and some didn't.
She wasn't even sure she was a ghost. She could see her body, her physical body, couldn't enter it, but she could make herself tangible, hold things in her hands. She didn't want this, didn't want to be here, but the fury, the anger, in her heart, even if it was righteous kept her anchored to this plane. She had to finish it, settle things once and for all. She had to make sure Ron never hurt another person like he'd broken her heart, like... she realized with a start, he'd killed her...He had murdered her, dumped her here. She would avenge her murder!
She waited and planned, knowing he'd come one day and that day in late Autumn with the leaves falling, floating in her grave, little bits of red, orange, and yellows. He came to make certain his crime hasn't been discovered, that she still rested in the tainted water. She heard him, a smile nearly slipping her face. When he peered down into the well, she reached up with long, cold fingers. She grabbed him, pulling him into the well with her decaying body, sealing his fate as he'd sealed hers.
