The thick mucus was lined with flower petals, little bits of green and white, gleaming with a silvery hue. She'd never thought she'd love someone, never thought they'd not love her back. A few more petals dropped from her lips.

"I love you!' she screamed from the moving staircase. He turned and looked, his grey eyes focusing on her. For a moment, he paused before taking the stairs two by two and pulling her into a tight kiss, petals falling from his lips onto the stone floor, red and yellow, sparkling with a golden shine. She blinked, the kiss breaking for a moment.

"I love you too," he whispered, reaching out and tucking a strand of her red hair behind her ear.

"We can't be together...can we?" she asked, feeling as though her heart was breaking. He loved her, she loved him, right now they were on different sides of a war neither had started.

"Not now, no, we can't, I can't risk... he could use you to make me do things. He's already using my parents, threatening them if I don't-"

"Then join with me," she offered, holding her breath. "The Order will figure out a way to save your parents, you could tell us what you know, be our spy. We need someone on the inside, someone who can change the tide of this war. Do it for me?" she asked, picking up the petals that littered the stone step. "Look at how beautiful they are mixed together. We could be that beautiful."

"We could," he whispered, plucking the petals from her hand and tossing them in the air, letting them fall like confetti around them. "How? How do I do it, how do I leave, join with your Order?"

"I'll send an owl, meet me at the owlery at midnight? I'm sure I'll get a quick response, they'll want to make sure-"

"That I'm not using you, playing you? I could never hurt you, Weasley," he whispered, kissing her again. "I'll be there," he promised before stepping away and joining with the crowd of people starting to pass through the hallway.
