another chapter told from Zero's point of view about his relationship with Yuuki.

disclamation: I do not own Vampire Knight in any way, shape, or form. if I did, even the anime would have been ten times happier than than it was in the end. I'll never forgive Viz Media for the way they had the gall to end the anime, not even when I die. all rights of the manga's ownership are reserved for Matsuri Hino-san.

When I went inside, however, I saw that Yuuki was now after Day Class students who had snuck out of the Sun Dorm past curfew, most likely to snap secret photos of the Night Class students. To make matters worse, one of them had hurt herself and was even bleeding. Then as if things could not get any worse, they actually managed to when Hanabusa Aido and Akatsuki Kain, two male vampires from the Night Class, had come out into the night.

These two losers were doing more than just cutting class, they were getting ready to go after some blood from the unsuspecting Day Class girls. It was then that I realized that Hanabusa and Akatsuki were probably after Yuuki's blood in reality. Well, Hanabusa probably was after my Yuuki's blood, in particular. That vampire had a dangerous sweet tooth which refused to be satisfied with mere blood tablets, but at least he could actually accept them. Akatsuki, however, was probably just there.

When Hanabusa said that they smelled so nice, the two Day Class girls squealed with delight. They probably thought he was talking about the scent of their perfume instead of their blood like he actually meant. Frankly, I always found the smell of that 'perfume' from the Day Class girls to be the most disgusting odor in the world.

Of course, Yuuki was quick to try and stop them from taking any blood from those stupid Day Class girls. She did not, however, count on Hanabusa being after her own blood instead.

Yuuki: Listen here, Aido. If you so much as lay a finger on one of these girls, I will…

Hanabusa Aido: Did you fall?

Then, Hanabusa went for my dear Yuuki's right wrist and grabbed onto it just after he held onto her Artemis Rod. Yep, he was definitely after her blood instead of the other two girls.

Hanabusa Aido: What smells good, Yuuki, is the smell of your blood.

Then, Hanabusa squeezed Yuuki wrist to get some of her blood to go towards her palm.

Yuuki: Aido!

I then noticed that Yuuki had some red on her palm, which was most likely where he was hoping to draw her blood from with his fangs. When did she even let that happen to herself?

Hanabusa Aido: Really, it is so tempting.

Then, the beast in human form pulled out his fangs from underneath his upper lip and drew my Yuuki's blood from her palm. The two Day Class girls seemed to notice Hanabusa's fangs.

Day Class Girl #1: Are those fangs?

Day Class Girl #2: He's a vampire?

A/N: About time some of the Day Class wised up and noticed just how dangerous the Night Class really is!

Yuuki dropped her Artemis Rod as soon as Hanabusa drew blood from her palm.

Yuuki: Aido, let go! I said let go!

Yuuki tried to get Hanabusa to stop on her own, but she would never have been able to tame that beast in human form with mere words.

Hanabusa Aido: Oh, but I want more.

The two Day Class girls fainted, most likely thinking that they were next. If I knew Hanabusa's taste, however, I knew he would just continue going for my Yuuki.

Hanabusa then pulled on Yuuki's shirt collar and asked her…

Hanabusa Aido: May I partake from your neck?

Yuuki: No, y-you can't have any, at all. Now, let go of me!

Akatsuki tried to interfere, but it was far too late to even try, especially since I finally arrived back on the scene and had Hanabusa at gun point of my Bloody Rose and Yuuki pulled aside in my arms.

Yours Truly: Drinking blood on school grounds is strictly forbidden. Has the smell of blood made you lose control, vampire?

Yuuki finally picked her Artemis Rod back up off the ground.

Yuuki: Zero, hold on!

Surely, Yuuki had to be considering this a lot better. Hanabusa just snacked on the blood from her palm, and asked if he could feast on more of her blood from her neck. The blonde-haired beast in human form had something to say about it, however.

Hanabusa Aido: But, I already tasted her.

Then, Hanabusa licked his lips to illustrate his point. That was when I finally had enough of his taunting and shot at him. Yuuki, however, hindered my shot to go onto the tree just above Akatsuki. Of course, since my Bloody Rose was a vampire hunter's gun, it was only effective against vampires and therefor had no effect on the tree.

Yuuki: You can't shoot him, idiot!

Was Yuuki even thinking her request through, at all? Hanabusa deserved to be shot at since he ever even nibbled at Yuuki's blood in the first place.

It was right then and there that Kaname Kuran showed up.

Kaname Kuran: That Bloody Rose… would you please put that away. I'm afraid that weapon you have is rather threatening to us.

Yuuki: Kaname, I-I-I…

Hanabusa grew relieved that he was not going to be shot at by me, but that feeling the beast in human form had of relief did not last long when Kaname Kuran grabbed onto his school uniform jacket.

Kaname Kuran: I'll escort these fools to the headmaster, myself, to receive their punishment.

Hanabusa Aido: Dorm President Kuran.

Then, Kaname Kuran had the nerve to pretend that he actually wanted my permission to do something about Hanabusa instead of me.

Kaname Kuran: Zero, is that alright?

Yuuki: Zero?

Kaname Kuran was just lucky that I had had enough of the Night Class vampires, anyway. I just put my Bloody Rose anti-vampire gun away and told him…

Yours Truly: Just get them out of here, Kaname.

It was then that Kaname Kuran turned to Akatsuki, too.

Kaname Kuran: Akatsuki, because you did nothing to stop Aido, you're guilty, too.

Akatsuki just groaned at that.

A/N: Serves him right for even trying to intervene too late!

Kaname Kuran: Now, then…

Kaname Kuran turned to the two Day Class girls who were on the ground and unconscious at that moment.

Kaname Kuran: For the two who have fainted, I'll have their memory of tonight erased…

It was then that Kaname Kuran's loyal servant, Seirin May, showed up and erased the two Day Class girls' memory of finding out the truth about the Night Class.

A/N: So much for my hopes of even just one or two of the Day Class students finally finding out the ugly, devious truth about the entirety of the Night Class.

Kaname Kuran: … and I will take them to the headmaster's, as well. Is that OK?

Yuuki was the only one who spoke to him about it.

Yuuki: Uh, yes, thank you.

Kaname Kuran: I'm sorry he scared you. That was wrong of him, Yuuki.

Yuuki only tried to play it off like it was no big deal for Kaname Kuran to worry about.

Yuuki: No, it's OK.

Yuuki then held her bloody palm behind her at that moment as though to hide it from Kaname Kuran.

Yuuki: It was just a little bite, more like a nibble, really.

It was just then that I grabbed my Yuuki's right arm and pulled her away before she could make a bigger loser of herself in front of that Kaname Kuran than she already was at the time.

Yours Truly: Let's go!

Yuuki: Hold on, Zero! What are you doing?

After we walked away from Kaname Kuran and the others for a bit, Yuuki finally spoke up, and even I could not believe what she said to me.

Yuuki: Zero, you were so rude to Kaname!

Was she trying once again to be my mom just to feel mature enough for Kaname like she always had in the past? Was she really doing that again? It was getting old by this point in our lives together, especially since she was a year younger than me.

Yours Truly: This place reeks of blood, and it's making me sick.

Once we were at one of the on campus bridges, I finally let go of my Yuuki's arm. She spoke my name once again, only a little alarmed this time.

Yuuki: Zero.

I turned to face my Yuuki just long enough to pull out the necktie from my Day Class school uniform and wrap it around her bleeding palm.

Yours Truly: The smell is disgusting, and they like it.

I then turned back around to walk away.

Yours Truly: Further proof they are beasts.

Yuuki followed me back… after much hesitation, that is.
