another chapter installment of my first ever 'Vampire Knight' fanfiction about Yuuki's time at Cross Academy as it's told from Zero's point of view.
disclamation: I do not own Vampire Knight in any way, shape, or form and do not wish to own it, despite still hating the way the anime ended and being unable to forgive Viz Media for it. all of the manga's ownership rights are reserved for Matsuri Hino-san.
Yuuki and I finally got to our job of confiscating any banned items from the Sun Dorm under orders from the headmaster, after much fuss from my end, admittingly. It had to be done, however, especially since Yuuki insisted that we could go through with it, and I guess I've already made it clear how much of a sucker I can be for her pleas. I knew she would need my help with this sort of thing anyway.
Yuuki was in the middle of her confiscations of items which had been banned from the Sun Dorm.
Yuuki: These are confiscated.
That was when a random Day Class girl showed up just to ask …
Day Class Girl: HUH? What's wrong with those? They're just photos.
Yuuki: I'm guessing they're taken without permission, and that's not allowed.
The Day Class girl then started to cry as she said to my Yuuki…
Day Class Girl: You don't understand. You're mean.
Yuuki was about to explain why secret photos of the Night Class students were banned from the Sun Dorm…
Yuuki: No, that_
That was when I heard a voice interrupt her own, a male voice to be exact.
Voice: She's right, Yuuki. It's you who needs to understand.
It was Kasumi Kageyama, better known to Yuuki's and my own class as…
Yuuki: What? The class rep.?
Then, the class rep. showed up from behind a support beam along the stairs and walked out to Yuuki to try to intimidate her with his own input. When I saw what was behind Kasumi's back, however, I knew that my chance to come to my Yuuki's aid that day had finally arrived.
Class Representative: You're abusing your position as a Disciplinary Committee prefect, walking around these halls with your nose in the air acting all cozy with the Night Class.
The Day Class girl searched for her own photos while the class rep. kept my Yuuki distracted. It was time to make my move to rescue her and to confiscate the class rep.'s secret photo collection of Ruka Souen, that Kaname Kuran's number one admirer from the Night Class, which he was hiding behind his back, but not very discreetly considering that I could see it very well.
Class Representative: Do you have any idea how that makes us feel? Do you?
The Day Class girl who had wanted her photos back from Yuuki's bag ran away at the sight of me, which was one of my goals from that moment accomplished. Then, I grabbed the class rep.'s photos of Ruka from behind his back.
Yours Truly: Confiscated.
I threw the photo book of Ruka from the class rep. into Yuuki's own bag. Then, I just walked away from the scene. I could still hear the class rep. along with my dear Yuuki very clearly even after I had left, though.
Yuuki: Have a nice day.
Class Representative: Why are you so mean?
A/N: If the Day Class were permitted to the truth about the Night Class, they would understand why Zero and Yuuki do what they do. Still, would any of the Day Class students be able to handle that truth about the Night Class students?
