welcome to the thirty-third chapter of my first ever 'Vampire Knight' fanfiction, 'Life With Yuuki: 'Vampire Knight' As Told by Zero'. this thirty-third chapter is also the first chapter I have added to my fanfiction in quite a while. this is also the first chapter of my fanfiction taken from the storyline of episode five of the 'Vampire Knight' anime. I stumbled across the anime's English dubbed version on Crunchyroll and decided to watch it for myself. I didn't even need a premium membership to watch the English dub, though. I could've used some subtitles for even the English dub, though, 'cuz there are often times when I don't even know what the characters are saying even in the dubbing, especially since I'm a little hard of hearing, and I'm only twenty-nine right now.
anyways, this thirty-third chapter of my 'Vampire Knight' fanfiction is a whopping six-hundred-forty words of pure storyline with no comments from yours truly under the guise of author's notes. it doesn't mean that comments and reviews aren't welcome from the readers, though. there will be a few comments from yours truly in future chapters, though. the six-hundred-forty words which make up the storyline found within this thirty-third chapter don't include the headnote, right here, the disclaimer which makes up the following paragraph, or the greeting for my first chapter in quite a long time in the paragraph above this headnote.
disclamation: I don't own 'Vampire Knight' in any way, shape, or form, be it the anime or the manga. Matsuri Hino owns the rights to the manga while the cast and crew for the anime are the people from Viz Media. if I had owned even one bit of even the anime, I so wouldn't have let it draw to a conclusion on such a note as what it had. I would've continued it a lot further into the manga and ended it the right way. I really wish that Viz Media had ended the anime the right way, or would at least make a reboot of the anime, like FUNimation had with 'Fruits Basket' when they discovered that it had come out with a sequel manga series.
The next day, Yuuki and I headed into the headmaster's office to get something to keep me in check for when I would try to attack someone again. He gave my Yuuki a bracelet to place around her wrist. He gave me a knife so I could place my blood onto her bracelet before she would put it on her wrist.
Kaien Cross: It's an ancient spell; a method that the vampire hunters have been using for a long time to tame an unruly vampire. The bracelet that I gave to Yuuki works in conjunction with this crest.
The headmaster pointed to the tattoo I had on my neck where that woman bit me when I was turned into a vampire. He showed Yuuki's wrist to it to demonstrate the spell. The spell activated upon contact between Yuuki's wrist and my neck. Yuuki gasped upon seeing me restrained on the floor via energy kunai knives.
Yuuki Cross: Zero?
The idiot headmaster just held his stupidest smile ever on his face while Yuuki looked at me worriedly.
Kaien Cross: He's perfectly fine. You've simply immobilized him for a bit. Yuuki, if Zero tries to bite anyone ever again, please use that bracelet to stop him. Kaname has agreed to let Zero stay in the Day Class, but only on that one condition.
Of course, that Kaname Kuuran would have permitted me to stay in the Day Class on the condition of my misery and humiliation.
Yuuki Cross: Kaname said that?
I could practically see Yuuki, my Yuuki, blush at the idea of that Kaname Kuuran allowing her to keep me in the Day Class as basically her pet level E vampire. I really did hate Kaname Kuuran, that jerk.
Kaien Cross: Since his dearest Yuuki made the request, Kaname just couldn't say 'no'.
Then, the idiot headmaster bent down to speak with me about this condition under which my Yuuki's beloved Kaname Kuuran had allowed me to stay in the Day Class.
Kaien Cross: I'm sorry.
I bet he was.
Kaien Cross (continued): I never wanted to use this method on you, at all. Just try and make due with this.
He then handed me a case of blood tablets.
Kaien Cross (continued): And if you still crave the taste of blood…
I suddenly grew appalled at what the idiot headmaster did next. That's right! That awful old geezer pulled his shirt collar down with his right hand and offered himself to me.
Kaien Cross (continued): … feel free to help yourself.
'Feel free to help myself', he says. Try telling that to the vein popping out of my forehead, old man!
Unfortunately for the idiot headmaster, my anger was just strong enough to bypass the power of the restraint spell under which Yuuki had contained me. I beat him up, thereafter.
Kaien Cross (continued): I meant when you move again.
But, I would just not hear him, no matter what he meant. Why would he even think I would want any of his blood, even if I already were a level E? I then tossed him into the wall behind my Yuuki. With that in mind, I got up to walk away.
Yuuki Cross: Zero?
I suppose she only wanted to apologize to me for using the vampire restraint spell on me when I did not even need it at the time.
Yours Truly: It's alright.
I only straightened up the neck tie of my uniform.
Yours Truly (continued): This is… just fine.
I guess I should have had the nerve to tell her that she was the reason this solution was OK with me, but I learnt early on that my Yuuki would only ever love that Kaname Kuuran. I just walked out of the headmaster's office, afterwards.
