Apologies for the delay in updates dear readers! With life SLOWLY returning to normal outside this website I've been trying to catch up on things I've been missing. BUT that doesn't mean I haven't been busy working on my story too. So now that I have returned we can carry on at last, and see how PEW's presence will affect what happens in Alabasta. True he doesn't SEEM to be making an OPEN effort against Crocodile right NOW, but that's because he prides himself on keeping his word with whoever he works with. The Information Dealer is waiting for the right MOMENT, you'll know it when it comes. Now onwards!

Also, I'd like to apologize in advance if anyone in this story is out of character…but creating stories and fanfics are a LEARNING experience for everyone after all. Also, I'm going to try and be fair and use the Japanese/English names for things like Devil Fruits etc.

(By the way…all flames and flamers will be ignored thank-you. I'll make an exception for CONSTRUCTIVE reviews on what needs an adjustment or suggestions for other chapters/stories, for they are most welcome. Remember if you don't like my work then don't read or review it! NO-ONE is forcing you to! It is NOT my fault you don't READ MY NOTICES and take good advice to be constructive instead of leaving plain, stupid USLELESS abuse now, is it?! THAT won't help anyone, writer or reviewer alike.)

PART TWELVE:

Dawn was breaking over the Albastian capital of Alubarna as well as a small rocky outcrop a few miles away from it. On these rocks sat PEW, who was enjoying a light breakfast of dried fruit, nuts and water from his hydration pack. Having managed to get through the desert so easily to his destination in the cool night using his Geppo, as well as apparently beat everyone getting there first. The information dealer had decided to rest up for the busy day that was ahead of him.

"Ok," PEW said to himself as he put his supplies away. "Its time to get moving. The Rebel and Royal army's will be ready to clash and I'll bet the Straw Hats will try their best to stop them doing that. You've really got to admire their dedication; all the odds are against them but they're going on with it."

Reaching into his robes PEW produced a pair of binoculars and carefully scanned the surrounding area with them. A sudden movement caught his eye by the walls of Alubarna, focusing in on it the information dealer saw a small group of five people milling around.

"Ah," he said quietly. "There's the remainder of the Baroque Works Officer Agents. They must be waiting to ambush the Straw Hats when they come with Vivi to stop the fighting. So, the question is…where are the Straw Hats?"

Just then there was a sudden rumbling noise near where PEW was standing and six yellow blurs' ran out from behind another rocky outcrop heading at top speed towards Alubarna.

"I don't believe it," PEW said looking through his binoculars. "It's the Supersonic Duck Squadron, the Straw Hats are going to try and confuse the Officer Agents so they don't know where Vivi is with them. The moron's have no idea Vivi is probably not with them."

As PEW spoke Vivi emerged from her cover along with her duck Karoo, they waited for a few minutes before they headed off towards Alubarna in a direction where the Straw Hats hadn't gone in.

"Now this should be interesting," PEW said putting away his binoculars. "I think I'll follow Vivi to observe her progress. Geppo!" he cried leaping up into the air after the blue haired princess.

Not far away on the walls surrounding Alubarna, Mr 6 and Miss Mother's Day were watching over the Officer Agents with their own binoculars. Or rather they were watching over Mr 2/Bon Clay like PEW had asked them to, until a sudden rumbling noise disturbed them.

"What the heck is that?" Mr 6 asked his partner without taking his focus off their quarry.

"It's the rebel army," Miss Mother's Day said focusing her binoculars on the desert's horizon where a huge dust cloud could be seen approaching the city. She then frowned at the site of a smaller and closer dust cloud coming in front of the first one. "Hey," she said excitedly. "I can see the Straw Hat Pirates! They're riding on some Supersonic Ducks in front of the rebel army! They must be trying to create a diversion so Princess Vivi can get into the capital. They've even dressed in the same desert robes!"

"No doubt to confuse the heck out of the Officer Agents," Mr 6 mused to himself.

"They're splitting now," Miss Mother's Day went on. "Two of them are heading towards the south gate where the rebel army will attack. Another two are heading off towards the west gate."

"While the rest of them head towards the southwest gate," Mr 6 finished as he saw said Straw Hats on their ducks knock over Mr 2/Bon Clay as they rushed past him. "Come on," he said as he saw the tall thin Officer Agent pick himself up. "Remember what PEW told us, we stick to our quarry like glue!"

So saying, the two Frontier Agents ran along the wall determined not to lose sight of the long-legged performer, which was quite a challenge as he was very fast when he wanted to be.

"They've stopped running at last," Miss Mother's gasped after a few minutes running along the walls.

"Neither of them are Princess Vivi though," Mr 6 chuckled as he saw the two figures throw off their desert robes. "It's a long-nosed Straw Hat and a camel! Mr 2/Bon Clay won't like being fooled by the likes of them, he'll clobber them good for that!"

The two Frontier Agents both winced as the angry performing ballerina did indeed release a series of furious kicks on his two enemies. Once done he grabbed the beaten Straw Hat, and took off a pair of goggles of his head. Mr 2/Bon Clay then asked his victim something before picking up his discarded desert robes, then dropped him casually to the ground and ran off at top speed.

"Now where's he going in such a hurry?"

"He's heading off towards the stables," Miss Mother's Day said as they both took off along the wall again. By the time they reached the stables, the two Frontier Agents were just in time to see the Officer Agent bring out a fully saddled horse. Then using his Devil Fruit Powers, Mr 2/Bon Clay turned himself into an exact copy of the Straw Hat, put on his desert robes, mounted the horse and rode off out into the desert.

From his vantage point in the air PEW shook his head sadly. Despite Vivi's best efforts to try and stop the rebel army, it seemed that the fates were against her. When she had tried to confront the advancing rebel army outside of Alubarna, someone from the walls of the capital had fired a cannonball right next to her position. The resulting explosion and smoke hid the blue haired princess from the sight of the advancing rebels. Vivi was nearly trampled on by all the rebel horses and camels they had been riding on. However, Karoo being the loyal duck he was, had placed himself in front of his Princess at the last minute. So, it had been HE who had been the one to get trampled on while Vivi was safe from injury.

'Now,' PEW thought to himself. 'It's possible that one of the soldier's defending Alubarna's walls panicked and fried his cannon early at the sight of all those charging rebels. However, the most likely explanation is that Crocodile placed some of the Millions and Billions among the soldiers, they saw what Vivi was up to and fired their cannon to silence and hide her.'

The information dealer was abruptly brought out of his thoughts by the sudden arrival of a horse riding Usopp, riding up to Vivi.

'Hello, what's Usopp doing here?'

PEW couldn't quite make out what was being said between Vivi and Usopp, but he suddenly understood when he saw Usopp touch his face and change his appearance into an evilly smiling ballerina.

'Of course,' PEW thought mentally slapping his head. 'It would have to be Mr 2/Bon Clay. He must have caught the real Usopp and taken his place, but I guess Vivi had a way to tell the real person from a fake impersonation. So, if this oddball performer is here, Mr 6 and Miss Mother's Day can't be far away either. All I have to do is follow these two, if Vivi can get away that is.'

As PEW continued to watch from his position in the air, he saw the injured Karoo run forward, scoop Vivi up on his back, before running off towards Alubarna at top speed with Mr 2/Bon Clay in hot pursuit. Using his Geppo to keep up with the running trio, PEW was amazed to see Karoo run right up the walls of Alubarna despite his injures to get his passenger to safety. Unfortunately for both Vivi and Karoo, it turned out their pursuer was a very agile person! Treating the whole thing like some ballet dance, Mr 2/Bon Clay managed to follow Karoo right up the wall step for step without stumbling once!

The chase then went on through the streets of Alubarna, but it abruptly came to a sudden end when poor Karoo was shot by a stray bullet between the rebels and the army. As the Supersonic Duck fell to the ground PEW suddenly spotted Mr 6 and Miss Mother's Day on a nearby rooftop so he hurried off to join them.

000000000000

"Wow!" Miss Mother's Day exclaimed in amazement at what she and her partner had just seen. "That Mr 2/Bon Clay can really move when he wants to!"

"That's hardly surprising when he has such long legs," Mr 6 commented dryly. "Now it looks like Princess Vivi is done for."

"I don't think so," PEW said making the duo jump in fright as they hadn't heard him arrive behind them.

"PEW!" they both exclaimed together. "Don't do that!"

"Sorry," PEW chuckled. "But I didn't want to break your concentration. I caught sight of Princess Vivi heading into the city so I followed her at a distance. As Mr 2/Bon Clay was chasing her, I knew you two wouldn't be far away, as did ask you to watch him. I saw you on this rooftop so I thought I'd join you."

"So here you are," Miss Mother's Day said finishing up PEW's explanation. "So now perhaps you can tell us why you think Vivi isn't finished?"

"Because of them," PEW said pointing towards someone running towards Vivi's position.

Following the direction of PEW's finger, the two Frontier Agents saw two super sonic ducks running up to the rescue. One of them headbutted Mr 2/Bon Clay in the chest while the other kicked the Officer Agent in the face sending him flying down the street. Standing behind the ducks was a familiar tall blonde figure.

"Hey its that Mr Prince guy!" Miss Mother's Day cried in amazement.

"Actually, his name is Sanji," PEW corrected her. "He's the Straw Hat's cook and if a woman is in trouble, he'll almost aways come to the rescue," he added with a chuckle.

"So, he's coming to Vivi's aid so she can get away and stop the fighting," Mr 6 said in realization.

"Yep!" PEW nodded in confirmation. "I feel that Mr 2/Bon Clay will have his hands full as Sanji, like him, is very good fighting and battling with his feet. However," he went on noticing Vivi heading off away down the street. "I have other things to worry about. You two keep watching our mad performer here," he instructed the two Frontier Agents. "Should he lose to Sanji, take him back to his ship. His crew will look after his injures

"What on Earth for?" Mr 6 asked in puzzlement.

"Because despite the fact he's a bit of an oddball," PEW told him. "Mr 2/Bon Clay is a nice guy. We do him a favour and he'll be only too delighted to return it whenever her can."

"That sounds fair," Miss Mother's Day said nodding in agreement. "Just one thing. What do we tell him or his crew if they ask why we're doing this for him?"

"Just say you both work for me and that I'll catch up with him later when he heals up, he'll understand."

"You can count on us PEW," Mr 6 told the hooded information dealer confidently as he left him and Miss Mother's Day to go after Vivi.

000000000000

It was obvious to PEW that Vivi's destination was her home, the royal palace of Alubarna. So, using his Geppo to carefully avoid the fighting rebel and royal army's, he managed to arrive first landing on the palace inner wall. PEW then carefully stepped into the shadows of the palace so that none of the guards would spot him. Taking a sip of water out of his hydration pack, PEW decided it might be a good idea to take a quick nap just until Vivi turned up. Then he could determine his next move. Setting his pocket watch alarm to ring in an hour's time, PEW sat down in an alcove where nobody would find him, leaned against the wall and fell asleep.

When PEW's watch alarm finally chimed to wake him up, he became aware of two things. The first was the sounds of battle made by the rebel and royal army's fighting outside the palace. While he had been sleeping, it was clear the battle had moved closer as it was certainly nosier than before. The second thing was that Vivi had finally turned up at last. She was surrounded by the palace guards and leading them was the commander of the royal guard known as 'Chaka the Jackal'

Chaka was a tall imposing dark-skinned man with medium length black hair and a long broad nose resembling that of a Jackal. He was wearing a long, light-green tunic revealing his muscular chest, and had two belts around his waist: a striped pale red and crimson large one and over it, a purple thinner one. Around Chaka's neck was a necklace consisting of big golden beads, and he wore a dark green coat draped over his shoulders like a cape. He carried a massive sword with a blue hilt and sheath on his right hip.

"Now I wonder just what Princess Vivi is talking to that lot about?" PEW asked himself as he leaned in closer to listen.

"Chaka," Vivi said determinedly to her guard commander. "We have to destroy the palace."

"WHAT?!" PEW exclaimed in horror his own disbelief adding to the voices guards who had also shouted the same at what had just been said.

"But Vivi," Chaka protested to his princess. "That's an insane idea! We can't possibly do something like that!"

"What are you afraid of would happen if we did?" Vivi asked Chaka and his men. "That this kingdom would simply die? You're wrong, it wouldn't. This palace is not Alabasta after all. Alabasta is the people who are hurting each other right now. They're the ones who made Alabasta a country in the first place! If there's any chance to stop this war then we must take it! Please Chaka, we only need to draw everyone's attention here just for a few seconds! If you can do that, I can take it from there! I swear, I can do this! For now, just destroy this palace!"

"That is a very brave and noble thing you want to do Vivi," PEW said quietly to himself while Chaka and his men grappled mentally with what their Princess had asked them to do. "However, I can't allow you to do that," he went on getting out his Baby Den-Den and dialing a number on it. "This palace is over four thousand years old, and I can't allow you to do such a thing, even though what you say about what actually makes Alabasta is so very true. But I've seen something absolutely IRREPLACEABLE be destroyed and burnt once before in my life, after that, I swore to myself I would NEVER EVER let anything like that happen again!"

'Hello?' the Den-Den suddenly spoke in Miss All Sunday's voice as it's call was answered.

"It's PEW here."

'Ah, Mr 0 and I were wondering where you were. You called just at the right time.'

"I'm over at the royal palace and you're going to have a very big problem on your hands if you don't get a move on."

'What do you mean?' Crocodile's voice suddenly spoke up. 'What kind of problem?'

"I mean that Princess Vivi has managed to avoid your Officer Agents and made it to the palace. She's intending to destroy it, to get the rebel and royal army's attention, so she can tell them all about you and your plans for Alabasta.

'Is she now?' the Den-Den said raising an eyebrow mirroring Crocodile's mild surprise. 'Well, we can't have that now, can we? Miss All Sunday and I are on our way, with a special 'guest,'" he added with a chuckle. 'In the meantime, do your best to stall or stop those fools will you? We won't be long.'

"Right," PEW said in acknowledgment before hanging up his Den-Den and putting it away.

"Alright you men," Chaka ordered his soldiers. "You heard what Princess Vivi said. So, there's not a moment to lose, get down to the armoury and get all the explosives you can carry!"

"Yes sir!"

"Oh no!" PEW called out appearing on the wall about them all. "While I admire your dedication to try and stop the fighting in this kingdom. I cannot allow you to destroy this four-thousand-year-old palace! Therefore, nobody is getting any explosives to do that…period!"

"PEW!" Vivi gasped in horror at the sight of the hooded information dealer. "You found me!"

"Found you?" PEW said jumping down off the wall to land in front of the Princess and her soldiers. "I've been following you since this morning!"

"You will not harm our Princess PEW," Chaka said determinedly stepping up to Vivi's defense with the rest of his men. "Nor will you stop us from carrying out her orders to us!"

"We'll see about that won't we?" PEW said cracking his knuckles and flexing his fingers as Chaka ordered his men forward.

"Be careful all of you!" Vivi said warningly to her friends. "You don't know what he's capable of!"

As the soldiers surged forward PEW gave a cry of "Kamisori!" jumped up into the air and then began a zigzagging motion in mid-air. Then to Vivi and Chaka's horror PEW began to cut through the soldiers while utilizing his high-speed movements, it was like watching a bear among chickens, the soldiers were cut down in seconds.

Before any of the remaining soldiers, who were still near Vivi and Chaka, could do anything else. PEW gave a cry of "Rankyaku!" making a great kicking movement in the air with his leg. At once a huge sharp compressed air blade came surging forward sending the soldiers flying like leaves. Before the attack hit him, Chaka grabbed Vivi and shielded her with his body, thankfully the action only left a large cut on his back.

When Chaka moved aside both her and Vivi were horrified to see that PEW had managed to wipe out almost all the soldiers with them!

"Now," PEW said grimly to Chaka. "Do you want to push your luck with me? Be grateful my attacks have only injured your soldiers enough to disable them, rather than kill them all. But being their commander and having more experience, you might not be as lucky as they were."

"I'll handle him Princess," Chaka said determinedly to Vivi. "You go find some more soldiers and blow up the palace to stop the fighting!"

"But Chaka he might end up killing you if you attack him!" Vivi protested frantically.

"I am a commander of the royal guard," Chaka said determinedly not taking his eyes off PEW. "I must attend to the safety of my princess!"

"Now that is a very noble sentiment," a familiar voice to Vivi and PEW suddenly spoke up. "But we can't really have this happening here…now, can we?"

Looking up, PEW, Vivi and Chaka saw Crocodile standing on the wall above them, with Miss All Sunday slightly behind him.

"Crocodile!" Vivi exclaimed in horror. "But how did you know?"

"PEW contacted me," Crocodile told her casually. "So, I asked him to stop you until I arrived. Good thing he did, as blowing up this palace was quite a treacherous idea hey Miss Wednesday? I couldn't let that happen because soon this will be my palace."

"No!" Vivi protested fiercely. "I will never let you!"

"You should never say 'never' Princess," PEW said warningly. "If you take a closer look, you'll see that Crocodile has a little 'insurance policy' with him." So, saying the hooded information dealer jumped up onto the wall to join Miss All Sunday. As Chaka and Vivi followed PEW's accent they saw, to their horror, that Crocodile was carrying the unconscious body of King Cobra under his arm.

"Your Majesty!"

"Father!"

"It sure is nice to have a Palace like this isn't it?" Crocodile chuckled mockingly to them. "It's a marvelous place to look down on the rabble below."

"If you have my father," Vivi asked suddenly. "Where's Luffy? What have you done to him?"

"You mean that Straw Hat? That miserable young rookie?" Crocodile replied with a hooded smile. "My dear," he laughed evilly. "He's dead!"

"Luffy dead?!" Vivi exclaimed in disbelief. "Impossible! I don't believe you!"

"Never the less its true," Crocodile said bluntly. "Poor Straw Hat…buried in the sands of Rainbase Miss Wednesday. If only he hadn't gotten involved with you, he might have lived a long and happy life."

'Well that explains the sand storm I saw yesterday outside Rainbase,' PEW thought to himself. 'But it takes more than something like that to finish Luffy off.'

"IS Luffy dead?" PEW quietly asked Miss All Sunday while Vivi and Chaka were silently taking in what Crocodile had told them.

"He was on…death's door the last time I saw him," Miss All Sunday said back to him equally quiet. "But he got a bit of a 'helping hand' at the last minute," she added with a mysterious smirk.

"I see," PEW nodded in understanding. "Nice to see our talks during my holiday at Rainbase were listened to."

"I'm…taking your advice for now…we'll see soon."

"You're a liar!" Vivi snapped angrily to Crocodile ending their conversation for the time being. "Luffy couldn't be killed by the likes of you!"

"You know," Crocodile said to Vivi thoughtfully. "It's only because of his sacrifice that you're still alive to rave and rant at this moment. You owe him your deepest thanks, that way he may be able to…rest in peace."

"Tell me where he is!" Vivi shouted furiously at Crocodile with tears of frustrated anger running down her cheeks. "Or did you come here just to torture me?!"

'More like he just wants to fulfil his childish desire to gloat again,' PEW thought to himself as he could see where this conversation was going.

Just then their attention was drawn to a hammering sound coming from the main gate leading into the palace. Before the rebel army had attacked, Chaka had ordered the gate locked and barred so that the rebels couldn't get in.

"Huh?" Vivi said in surprise. "Who can that be?"

"It must be the rest of my men stationed outside the palace," Chaka said in realization.

"Try again you lot!" a voice was heard outside the gate as the pounding continued. "We have to save the Princess! Somebody get some cannon's in and destroy these gates!"

"That's my cue," Miss All Sunday said suddenly. With a sudden glow in her calm blue eyes, she gave a cry of "Dieciseis Fleur!" Suddenly a huge wave of flower petals emerged from around Miss All Sunday and flew towards the gate, propelled by a miniature windstorm.

On the other side of the gate all the guards trying to get it open, gave cries of alarm and terror as about sixteen ARMS emerged from the fabric of the gate in a shower of flower petals. The next thing the astonished guards knew what was happening, the hands on the arms grabbed the guards, snatched off their weapons then used them to shove them off the steps leading up to the palace gate.

Moving to a different position so they could see what was going on, Chaka and Vivi were left in open mouthed astonishment at what had just happened.

"Nice work," PEW said to Miss All Sunday as he followed her and Crocodile, who was still carrying the unconscious King, down into the courtyard.

"Thankyou," Miss All Sunday smiled gently. "Maybe now we can have some peace and quiet."

"Indeed," Crocodile said using his Sand-Sand Fruit Powers to bring himself, King Cobra and his partner down to the courtyard where Vivi and Chaka were. "Now then," the Warlord went on producing a pair of large metal spikes from his coat before tossing them to PEW. "Could you use these to pin my 'guest' to the wall, will you? It'll take a load off my mind."

"You can't do that!" Vivi and Chaka protested angrily at what Crocodile wanted.

"Oh, there's really no need t turn the King into a pincushion Crocodile," PEW said airily as he dropped the metal spikes. "My way is much easier, just as effective and its less messy."

"What do you mean?"

For the answer PEW produced a small looking squirt gun from his robes and pointed it at a nearby wall. Pulling the trigger, PEW's squirt gun spat out a huge glob of white mucky gunk all over the wall it hit.

"Now," PEW said to Crocodile as he put away his squirt gun. "Throw Cobra onto that wall."

"What? What are you getting at?"

"You'll see," PEW replied mysteriously. "Hand him over to me."

Puzzled, but obligingly, Crocodile tossed the injured King Cobra over to PEW. Before Vivi or Chaka could do anything, PEW heaved Cobra up on his feet and threw him against the gunk covered wall which he hit with a loud wet 'splat.' To everyone's surprise the injured King didn't slide down the wall, he was just stuck there like a fly on flypaper.

"Father!" Vivi cried in distress at her parent's plight. She ran to Cobra and try to pry him off the wall, but to her amazement she couldn't shift him! Vivi tugged and pulled with all her might but her father was stuck fast. Running forward to assist his princess, Chaka also tried to pull Cobra off the wall. But despite all the pair's efforts, they couldn't prise the King off the wall.

"What have you done to him?!" Vivi exclaimed to PEW.

"Isn't it obvious?" PEW said calmly. "I've glued your father to that wall, with an invention of mine called 'Perma-paste.' It is the world's most powerful adhesive, as you've found out. Nothing can break it unless I use my 'Perma-paste Solvent.' So Vivi your father is effectively stuck to that wall forever until further notice."

"Well, that is indeed most impressive," Crocodile said in amused approval at what had happened. "Do you have any more of that stuff?"

"Sadly no," PEW said with a shake of his head. "I only keep a small amount of it on me, including my solvent. So…" he went on producing a small red spray can shaking it in front of Chaka and Vivi. "I suggest neither of you try to attack me and just listen to what Crocodile has to say."

"You will release the King from that wall at once!" Chaka thundered furiously to the trio in front of him.

"Now, now," Crocodile said calmly placing a cigar in his mouth while casually lighting it up. "After all the trouble PEW just went to immobilize him the way he did on my behalf? That's not going to happen."

"Oh Vivi," Cobra sadly said weakly to his daughter despite his injuries. "I'm sorry…I failed you…and the nation. I didn't fully use…the chance you risked your life for."

"Oh father," Vivi said in heartbreaking sadness at what she just heard.

"Oh, come on," Crocodile sneered mockingly as he puffed away on his cigar. "Is this the best you two can do after years apart? Anyway 'Miss Wednesday'," he went on deliberately infuriating Vivi to no end.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!"

"Let me tell you a little something," Crocodile went on continuing to puff on his cigar ignoring Vivi's outburst. "I have no intention of keeping you or your father alive. When a kingdom dies out, it only seems natural that its royal family dies out as well. Don't you agree? But first…" he said walking up to the restrained King Cobra.

"Before I take the throne there's something I need to ask the current king. If he has a moment that is. In fact, this has been my goal from the very beginning. King Cobra," Crocodile said grandly to his prisoner. "Tell me…where is the Pluton?"

Hearing the name 'Pluton' Cobra's eyes widened in alarmed shock. "There's only…one way, one POSSIBLE WAY, you can know that name!" he gasped before turning to face PEW.

"You people always seem to forget that my services are available to ALL," PEW said in annoyance as if being revealed wasn't a real big deal. "When Crocodile originally contacted me for my services, he asked so I told him. He then had further use for my skills and the rest as they say…is history."

'What is Crocodile talking about?' Vivi wondered to herself. 'Pluton? I don't even have a clue what that is!'

Seeing Vivi and Chaka's puzzled looks Crocodile turned to PEW. "Enlighten them can you PEW?"

Obediently PEW told the Princess and her guard commander about Pluton, an ancient weapon a battleship rivalling that of a god, capable of destroying an entire island in just one shot. The Pluton was apparently hidden somewhere in Alabasta, but the secret was known only to the Alabastian royal family, which meant King Cobra, passed down with each generation.

Taking up the explanations, Crocodile then told everyone present, that obtaining the Pluton was nis entire reason for everything happening in Alabasta presently. With the weapon under his control, Crocodile would then bring all pirates in the surrounding area under his influence. He would turn Alabasta into his own military state, with the Pluton under his control he would take on the World Government with it.

Crocodile then explained his plan to eliminate both the rebel and royal armies fighting in the capital, with a large bomb. It was hidden somewhere in the town square set to detonate at 4:30pm precisely, with a radius of 5 Kilometers'.

"Are you insane?!" Cobra exclaimed in horror once Crocodile had finished. "You can't do that!"

"I thought you'd be happy," Crocodile said in mock surprise. "After all, you're the ones who wanted all of them outside to stop fighting each other so badly. So, since I'll be ruling from this palace, there's really no need to blow it up, now is there? Destroying both apposing armies is much more quicker and easier way of doing things."

"Just how the hell can you be so callous to them?!" Vivi shouted in helpless fury to Crocodile utterly appalled at what she had just heard. "What did they do to you to deserve it?! They have LIVES! FAMILIES!"

"Princess don't!" Chaka said grabbing Vivi by the arm and shoulder as he could see she was all set to attack Crocodile on the spot.

"Why don't you ask someone who actually gives a shit?" Crocodile said carelessly puffing away on his cigar. "I don't."

"You don't have to kill them!" Vivi went on struggling against Chaka's grip. "They've done nothing to deserve it!"

"Well perhaps I'll change my mind," Crocodile said matter of factly. "If the King here answer's another question," he turned back to Cobra. "There's a Poneglyph in this country, where exactly is it?"

"A Poneglyph?" Vivi said in puzzlement. "What is he talking about now?"

"I see PEW told you about that too," Cobra said wearily. "Very well…I'll take you to where it is."

"Excellent!" Crocodile laughed in satisfaction. "Just what I'd expect from a King, you're a very wise man."

"But what do this at all if PEW knows about the Pluton and this Poneglyph?" Vivi demanded to know.

"That's exactly what I asked him," PEW said to Vivi. "Turns out Crocodile was afraid someone would ask questions or follow me to find out who hired me, despite the fact I CAN keep a secret," he added sadly. "For Crocodile trust REALLY has to be earnt."

'Which is why I have to draw this all out, as much as I and everyone else here hates it. Crocodile has to be TOTALLY at ease with me when the time comes.'

"Enough of this!" Chaka yelled suddenly drawing his sword. "I can't take another second of this! I must attend to the defense of my King, Princess and my kingdom!

"You can try my dear Chaka," Crocodile said grimly turning to face the guard commander, his eyes blazing in restrained fury. "You can try!"

'This is not going to end well…it never does with Crocodile.'

What a Cliff-hanger! It turns out PEW has just as many things in motion to HELP Alabasta as Crocodile does in wanting to destroy it! He also has a lot of interesting inventions on him too, first a stun gas grenade and now that 'Perma-paste.' He was also VERY passionate in NOT wanting the palace destroyed, despite the fact it would make the fighting stop, wasn't he? PEW is playing things VERY close to his chest it seems, what will happen next chapter I wonder? Meanwhile leave your reviews and see you next update to find out!
