Chapter 14 another shopping day
The next day strawberry told her friends what custard told her. "She is thinking you are someone important?" Huckleberry asked. "Apparently, is it that hard to believe?" Strawberry answered. "Absolutely not but it does raise the question, special in what way, we all know how you are to us, but how to her?" Huckleberry continued. Gingersnap replied "maybe you are some living key to a grand world she wants to see." Orange replied "or maybe she needs your help to plant some rare endangered strawberry". Angel scoffed "guys isn't it obvious, she is looking for someone to replace her if and when she retires" blueberry muffin asked "how do you know that for sure angel cake?" Angel smiled "its the most rational solution" strawberry giggled "well what ever it is I'm sure she will tell me, I'm more hoping to see what she looks like." Peppermint, lemon, and razzberry entered. "Hey everyone we are heading down to the mall to spend our points." Razzberry said. "Say did you girls hear what custard over heard" huckleberry asked. "Yah we did hear most of it." Peppermint said. Lemon smiled "i bet she has faith you will be little miss strawberryland" strawberry giggled. "Anyways what should we do today?" Gingersnap smiled "how about a shopping day" huckleberry nodded "great idea, we all accumulated so many points we can spend them." Everyone nodded. "That sounds fantastic huck, after that we can get some last minute dance practice in" angel cake said excited.
The group set off to the stores, they decided to buy matching ballet outfits to show themselves as a team. As they searched over the looks they saw powder puff trying on outfits. Adorned in a pink and ruffled lace tutu, white tights and matching ballet shoes she gracefully danced her way to the desk only looking at the girls in a passing glance. "Ill wear this out" she told the cashier using her points to pay for it, she then walked out in a huff. "Wow what nerve of her" angel said. Strawberry replied "forget her lets focus on this." The colors they decided on were a combination of pastel pinks and white, they decided connecting ribbons adorned in lace to make the tutus look like flowers would add an adorable touch. "Oh this will make us look like floral fairies, i love it" huckleberry said, much to the girls shock getting into character. The number of points was larger then there initial ballet purchases at first but with how well they were all doing they could more then cover it. They decided a few more outfits in there own colors are in the mix
Meanwhile back at the friendship club crepe Suzette returned with cherry cuddler from the airport. "Cherry!" Apple dumplin said hugging her good friend. "Apple" cherry said returning the sympathy. "How have you been" apple asked. "I have been divine, im so excited to see your sister in this competition." Cherry said. "Your just in time, the ballet competition is tomorrow." Frosty said. "Oh i know ill be watching that." Cherry said. She pulled out her suitcase full of her favorite clothing. "Oh cherry you are no question my sister" crepe said. Everyone there giggled. "So how is everyone doing in the competition?" Cherry asked. "Everyone is doing well, especially strawberry and huckleberry." Apple said. "Wait monsir huckleberry is in it?" Cherry asked. "Yes he got an invitation by mistake and things happened." Apple said causing cherry to giggle nearly uncontrollably. Apple smiled "ill help you get your stuff for your room."
Back at the hotel strawberry and friends wore there newly bought outfits and got some last minute practice in. All of them set a dance to do. As they practiced everyone continued to wonder a lot about Powder Puff. Particularly why she was so mean. "Don't let it distract you" huckleberry said. "If we could only find out what it is about her that makes her act like that maybe we could help her" strawberry said focusing on her moves as well. As they did this powderpuff got in practice as well. "Unbelievable them thinking they are so much better then me" she said. Her tarantula chirped and hissed. "Well yes i know they didn't exactly say it but the looks they gave. I should be winning this thing by a land slide." She finished with a curtsy. "There i have it, i can no longer do it wrong." The spider put its legs in a sleeping motion. "Yah your right its getting late i need beauty sleep" soon in the entire hotel the lights were out. Next day was a big day
