The Heroic God Slayer

Chapter 2

So now I'm getting into the entrance exam side of the story. But also, I'm going to get into Izuku learning a bit more about what he can do now. As well as the few of his authorities born from the gods he slew. But don't worry, Xeimei won't be a full-on Erica like in Campione. And the harem won't be a major point for this, but they will come in for some things. On with the show.

(No POV)

About a month after Izuku's trip to China, he had a new set of revelations. The first came with the fact that Xeimei moved to Japan the week after his family returned. The second thing that happened was him beginning to understand his new abilities. He tested a few of them out at Dagobah beach. He found he could lift the mountains of trash easily. "While most Campione have improved strength, speed, durability etc., rarely do they have it to your extent my king," Xeimei said while accompanying him on his training. Izuku sighed before asking Xeimei to once again, stop calling him a king. "People might get a weird idea with how you are saying that" Izuku said with a blush.

Xeimei laughed before explaining that this would be how all those attached to the magical world would treat him from now on. "You currently are one of the kings that have true dominion over the world. I do have to say we are lucky that the closest king is in Africa. She is currently the most tyrannical of all the kings," the Nine Heavens mage said offhandedly. This made Izuku stop for a moment.

"Wait why is she a king? Wouldn't it be queen?" he asked after loading up another mountain of trash. Xeimei shakes her head before explaining that all Campione are referred as kings. "It's because they have taken the rule and well, generally….. Campione are usually men to begin with. Not sure why but most of them are men. Its rare to have had more women Campione compared to men in this age. Even the previous age, there was only two of the seven were women."

Izuku nods before thinking more about his new powers. The powers granted from Herakles were his obvious strength and an incredibly durable body. But not only that he could pick up anything and imagine it as a weapon. He had also asked for Xeimei to loan him a few different weapons, and he instantly knew how to use each. "It's probably due to Herakles's experience as a hero. You also mentioned that you could handle athletic competitions easily, but not in way of using your superstrength right?" "Yeah. It's like I automatically know the best form to use for a javelin, discus, shot put etc. I guess that has to with his representation as the patron god of the Olympics?" Izuku surmises after loading some more trash.

Xeimei agrees before asking about his other authorities. "This wouldn't happen to be for the Greenwich Assembly, would it?" Izuku asks with a scowl. Xeimei tries to backpedal and apologizes profusely. Until Izuku starts laughing at her freak out. "I'm kidding. And even if you are I don't blame you. As for the rest I have an interesting set from Xbalanque. The first is that I can summon a dart that will paralyze any enemy. And I can summon a pitz ball to send out and absorb an attack. I can then send it right back at them. But they both come with restrictions." Izuku explains that the darts require him to know the name of who he is fighting to paralyze the enemy.

Given the gods habits of introducing themselves, this wouldn't be too much of a problem. It could even be used against a normal person and do the exact same thing. But there is a problem to both this and the pitz ball. "I can only use the darts one time during the day, and three times at night. And the pitz ball can only be used one time per day. But that aside, if I want, I can use the agility and skill granted from his training as a hero." Xeimei nodded before asking him to continue.

"Horus's abilities are more limited. I only have the glaive and his wings. But even the later I can't use. There seems to be some sort of ability to get to people quickly, but I don't know the conditions," Izuku said before finishing cleaning up the beach. Xeimei finished writing down what Izuku had said before looking out at the view her king had created. It was a breath-taking sight, with the beach completely cleaned in only a day.

Izuku then thanked the mage, saying "I'm glad you could requisition so many trucks for me to clean all this garbage." "It wasn't so much me as it was the Committee for the Compilation of True History. I think they want to get on your good side," Xeimei said as they walked out onto the beach.

"What the…" The two hear behind themselves. When they turn they see none other than All Might standing on the road. When the number 1 looks down and sees the same boy he told he couldn't be a hero, he feels a pang in his chest. He then coughs and walks down to talk with the pair. "I must say I didn't expect to see you here young Midoriya. I also wasn't expecting to see this beach clean. Do you know what hero did this?" All Might asks.

Izuku sighs a bit before telling All Might the truth. "I did this. I cleaned the whole beach. In one day," Izuku says with a combative look on his face. All Might wants to say that is impossible given he doesn't have a quirk, but the girl next to him says, "he's telling the truth. I watched him do it." All Might is still confused, until Izuku smirks and walks over to his car. And picks it up one handed. Then tosses it between his two hands like it is a ball.

"So, did you awaken a quirk of some kind?" All Might says with some confusion. Izuku though doesn't give it a second thought and says to All Might, "I don't need something that worthless. I gained this power through my own will. And I've saved multiple people already. I don't need you or anyone else to tell me I'm a hero. I know who I am, and what I can do." And with that Izuku walks off leaving All Might behind.

Xeimei bows to the older hero before following her king. All Might though is just stunned at what that formerly quirkless hero hopeful had said to him. He looked down and thought more about what he said to the boy over a month ago. As well as the fact that he looked more into the boy he only half saved. That boy was in Izuku's class and used to be friends with him. 'I don't blame him for resenting me. I crushed his dreams and…. I failed to save someone he was close to. If he can be a hero with whatever power he now has, then…..please young Midoriya. Dispose me of the number one position. Show people the hero you are,' All Might thinks to himself before getting into his car.

When Xeimei catches up with Izuku, she sees that he is breathing deeply as if to calm himself. She puts a hand on his shoulder before speaking. "My king. I won't tell you to let go of what has happened. But you shouldn't let it control you. Far too many of the past kings have done that and become the cruelest of tyrants. Please. I'm right here. I will be your sword whenever you need it." When Izuku looks back to Xeimei with a few tears in his eyes. He then pulls her into a hug before thanking her.

Without Katsuki around at Aldera middle school, there are less people that feel the need to bully or attack Izuku. Not that anyone wants to be his friend, but they aren't all out to mock him at the drop of a hat. But Izuku luckily has Xeimei outside of that and the two start a very friendly rapport with each other. "I'm still planning to go to UA. It may not be a quirk, but I still have powers that can help many people. And even though I am a king, I shouldn't take advantage of that fact more than necessary," Izuku said one evening while practicing with some of his authorities.

His first mage nods before agreeing to go to UA as well. Noting that most wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a quirk and magic. "With as strange as some of the mutations and abilities are it won't be difficult to pass it off. I have no intention of not standing by your side, my King," Xeimei said while bowing with her hands clasped in front of her.

When time came for the UA entrance exam, Izuku made one stop first. To visit a friend in the hospital. Katsuki had yet to awaken, and even the magic Xeimei had used and taught Izuku couldn't change that. But Izuku still made the effort to visit him every week. "Hey Kaachan. I may not be able to visit for a while. If I'm going to accomplish our goal of being the best heroes, then I have to put everything into my studies at UA. I'll still try to visit on off days. I hope you wake up soon," Izuku said at Katsuki's bedside. As he was leaving, Mitsuki and Masaru had arrived.

Upon seeing him, Mitsuki wrapped Izuku up in a hug and thanked him. "No one else has really come to visit. But you still do," she said with a few tears. Masaru then puts hand on Izuku's shoulder and tells him, "Good luck with the entrance exam. I hope we'll see you again." Izuku nods and heads off for UA campus.

When he reaches the campus, Xeimei is already waiting for him. She has drawn a few eyes and there are even some trying to ask her out. "Ah! Izuku! There you are! We should head in," she says as she sees the green haired teen walking up. He nods but is surprised when she grabs his hand to pull him along. But then he looks to see her fans' faces and he realizes what was going on. "You just used me, didn't you?" "Sorry. But they wouldn't take no for an answer." Xeimei says sheepishly.

Izuku sighs before asking for a bit of a heads-up next time. His mage agrees and the two head in to take the exam. The written test is no problem for either of them. Though Xeimei does struggle with some of the kanji sections. But once that is done it is time for the practical exam. While Present Mic is going over the rules for the practical battle, Izuku is considering which authorities he should focus on.

'I can't use the glaive of Horus in this instance. It's better for fighting against gods. But all of the authorities from Herakles would be fine. Plus, I can use the agility that I took from Xbalanque to maneuver around the battlefield.' "You there! Are you paying attention?!" Izuku hears vaguely. After another shout in his direction, Izuku finally snaps out of his ramblings. "What? Sorry I was coming up with a few plans… Unless… was I muttering?"

"Indeed, you were. But I suppose you were just so focused you didn't even notice. I will at least apologize for saying you were not taking this exam seriously. But please try to keep your thoughts inside. Thank you!" a tall blue haired boy with glasses says to Izuku before bowing. Izuku nods before considering a few other things.

Xeimei on the other hand is tempted to strangle the glasses boy for insulting her master. But she restrains herself when she sees how Izuku handled the matter. On the other hand, she is considering not drawing her sword for this fight. 'I'd rather stay my blade until absolutely necessary. I am just against silly robots and pitiful beings who still think they are human.' With both teens' plans set, they are ready for the practical exam.

When Izuku arrives at his battleground he sees everyone getting ready. But then he notices something strange on the ground. Or rather two strange things. The first is a bottle of medicine that seems to be for motion sickness. The other is a girl who is crawling on the ground looking for something. Izuku has a hunch on what it is and picks up the medicine. He then taps the girl on the shoulder. When she turns, he sees a very cute face with a permanent blush on her cheeks. He smiles and says, "is this what you are looking for?" holding up the bottle.

The girl's eyes widen, and she reaches for the bottle. "Thank you! This helps me with some of the drawbacks with my quirk. Oh! Good luck with the exam!" the girl says while walking away. Izuku says the same before cracking his neck. He takes a deep breath and waits for the doors to open. When the do, he rockets off with all the strength he can muster in his legs.

As he goes through the battlefield, he notices that his reactions are so fast he sees the world in slow motion. He bounces from target to target, taking advantage of the strength and agility granted to him by his authorities. He even breaks down a few faux light poles to smash some of the bots.

"Quite the impressive fighter there. It's almost like looking at All Might in a much smaller form," a teacher who was judging the applicants said. The screen was showing Izuku cleaning house against the robots one after another. As well, they could see him saving some students that didn't see certain things like debris falling on top of them. Another judge notes this saying, "he's also not just focused on the villains but the others who could be in danger. And his reflexes are nothing to scoff at."

All Might is watching as well, and he feels so much regret at what he had said to young Midoriya almost a year ago. 'With how he acts and reacts, he would be a perfect candidate to inherit One For All. But I doubt he would accept it from me. And I don't blame him,' the old hero thinks to himself.

When it is time for the Zero-point robot though, Izuku doesn't even hesitate. He reaches not just the pink cheeked girl, but another who was trying to help her. A silver-haired girl with sleepy eyes was trying to lift up the debris with her telekinetic quirk. While she mostly succeeded, the robot's fist was coming down on both of the girls. But it never impacted.

Izuku had arrived and caught the robot's fist as he was punching down. "Get her clear! NOW!" He shouted to the telekinetic. She quickly nodded and Izuku bent his knees before leaping up. And carrying the robot with him. He then spun a few times before throwing the robot up into the air. And it just kept going.

"Where did that Zero-pointer go?" A mouse bear hybrid animal asks a judge who had a metal headpiece on. The man just gulps before saying, "orbit. He threw the thing into orbit!" This amazes everyone judging, though some are complaining about the loss of possible recycled materials from the robot.

As Izuku is coming down, he is wondering if this could hurt when he impacts. His question is quickly answered as he gets closer to the ground. The impact sends dust flying across the battlefield. But Izuku isn't even hurt. In fact, the most it did was just sting when he landed. 'Guess that's a perk of the durability of Herakles. I can take the rough equal to the strength I can put out,' Izuku thinks to himself as he walks out of the crater he created.

When he arrives back at the entrance, he checks in on the girl who was hurt. "I'm fine. Thanks to Recovery Girl here. Oh, and thank you for saving me. My names Uraraka Ochaco," said girl says while sitting down. The silver-haired girl thanks him as well. Saying, "your arrival was most fortuitous. Had it been much later, I am sure we would have crossed the Sanzu river. Oh and my name is Yanagi Reiko." "No need to be that dramatic. And besides if you had I would have just crossed myself to pull you back," Izuku says, though the later statement is made under his breath.

With that done Izuku leaves, but not before both girls ask for his name. With a smile Izuku tells them. And then he says, "I'm sure we will see each other at UA." When he meets up with Xeimei he asks her how the test went.

Xeimei had little trouble with any of the robots she had to face off against. "The worst was when that big one showed up. I knew I couldn't fight it without drawing my sword, so I instead went with saving as many as I could." She had explained that her focus with Taoist arts was focused around elemental spells and swordsmanship.

"When possible, I used my metal spells to transform the poles and similar to spears to strike or trap the robots. Earth spells I mostly focused on much the same. I used a fire spell or two but that had less effect than I would have liked. Water did some interesting damage, especially when I turned it to ice. But wood…." Xeimei continued for a while. While Izuku had a habit of rambling about hero related things and the like, Xeimei had more of a habit of over analyzing magic and its nuances.

Izuku eventually got her attention, and the Chinese beauty blushed at his teasing about the matter. "Like you're no better Izuku." "I know, but I guess that is part of why we work so well together. You may have had to hide some of who you were, but I don't care what people think of it. And you appreciate that I am much the same," Izuku says as they are walking back together. Izuku then looks to her with a small smile and says, "I'm glad you are my first knight, mage or whatever. Because I know I can believe in you no matter what." This gets Xeimei to blush up a storm and push him along. Saying they needed to get home. She quietly says to herself though, "I am Midoriya Izuku's mage and advisor. I….. I shouldn't try to be his….."

Sorry if this seems like a lousy way to start up a relationship with these two, but I felt that implying a few things might help. Besides, the two have been training and spending time together every day for almost a year. Given the magnetism of Izuku as well as most Campione, it wouldn't be strange for something to grow.
