It has been a few weeks since kions adventure in the outlands and life continued on as normal for the pridelanders. In the outlands jasiri and her clan were at their watering hole an madoa's cubs and jasiri's niece and nephew have grown up and named them tunu and wema. Jasiri was enjoying spending time with her sister cubs, but her mind somewhat wandered about kion and how helped her she shook it off and went back to playing with tunu and wema.
What they didn't know was that a lioness was watching them from a distance, her fur was a more darker tan and she had dull grey under belly. She was looking at the hyenas closely and observed the numbers and saw the clan consisted of 5 adults and 2 cubs and saw they had a watering hole. The lioness made her way out of the hyenas territory to report to her pride with what she had discovered.
She walked through they outlands until she reached a cave and passed through it to where her pride lived. When she exited the cave it looked like a lions head. She walked up to the leader of her pride zira. She had dark tan fur and her eyes seemed more like a darker bronze than kion wore a chest wrap top and a loincloth. And she was with her children, her daughter vitani who had peached colored fur and violet eyes and wore a the same type of cloths that jasiri except she had shorts that didn't really cover much of my legs. Her oldest son nuka had dark brown fur and mane messed up with little strands and wore a grey shorts and had red eye's. Then their was kovu he wore black shorts and had green emerald eyes.
Nuka was the oldest of the siblings but during the time scar's reign his little brother kovu was chosen to be his heir over him despite being older than kovu. He was angered by that and ever since he grew to resent kovu and strived for his mother's attention but never really worked out and he seemed pretty twitchy at times.
"What do you have to report" zira said with a firm tone sitting up straight.
"I discovered a watering whole not to far from here" the lioness said.
"Is their anyone currently occupying it" zira asked intrigued.
"Yes a clan of hyenas that consist of 5 adults and 2 cubs" responded the lioness
"Well lets go introduce are selves shall we" zira said evilly
And with that the outsiders made their way to the hyenas watering whole and when they did they met jasiri.
"Who are you" asked jasiri while she took a defensive stance
"I am zira and this is my pride" she said towering over the young hyena
"And as of right now this watering hole belongs to us" she said in a cold evil tone.
"HAAAA!" a scream could be heard from behind the clan and they all looked and saw a outsider lioness behind holding madoa hostage with her claws out. "Unless you don't value the life of one of your own" zira said with a evil grin. Zira used an evil tactic to get the watering hole without a fight. Everyone in jasiri's clan was panicking for the safety of madoa the pups were very scared for their mother. "Wait!" yelled jasiri getting everyone's attention.
"If we let you have are watering whole and will leave will you let her go" jasiri asked.
"But of course dear we just want the watering whole no need for us spill blood". zira said with a reassuring tone.
"Alright its yours just let my sister go" jasiri asked pleading to the old lioness.
Zira signaled the lioness holding madoa hostage to let her go. When she was let go tunu and wema ran to her and hugged her glad that their mother was ok and unharmed and madoa hugged them both tightly as well.
"Now get out of here hyenas and don't come around here again" nuka shot out at the hyena
And with that jasiri and her clan were forced out of their watering hole and their home and they wandered through the outlands to look for a temporary place to live until they can figure out what to do now that their watering hole is gone. They were all down at what happened and they were losing hope. But then jasiri remembered something, kion said "if you ever need help in just come find me and I'll come running" kions words repeated in head. She had a smile on her face and her clan wondered what she was smiling about.
"What's got you so happy" asked madoa who was wondering what her sister was smiling about.
"I got an idea that can help get are watering hole back" she said cheerfully.
"You do what is it" madoa ask curiously.
"I'm friends with the leader of the lion so he can help us get are watering hole back" jasiri said with confidence.
Madoa looked at tunu and wema and thought reluctantly agreed since she trusted her sister.
Jasiri told her clan to stay here while she went to go find kion. She made her way to flat ridge rock and crossed over into the pridelands. She made shore to stay out of sight as not to alarm the the locals.
Meanwhile with kion
While the rest of the guard were relaxing in the lion guard lair since janja wasn't causing any trouble. Kion and bunga were playing baobab ball, a game they made up a while back. "Ha gotcha now " said bunga reaching for the boabab fruit. "I don't think so bunga" said kion as he nocks away the fruit. Then they both made a grab for it and both on it then it slipped out of their grasps. "Ha I got it now kion" said bunga holding the fruit triumphantly. Jasiri heard the commotion and was making her way their. But when jasiri was getting closer a group of gazelle noticed her and ran. "Hyena!" one of them yelled. Kion and bunga noticed this and looked towards where the noise came from. "Hyena in the pridelands!" one of them yells as they jump over bunga and runaway in fear.
"A hyena in the pridelands" bunga said as he put on a serious face, he put down the boabab fruit and walked over to a bush that was ruffling.
"Alright hyena you've picked a wrong day to come into the pridelands" bunga said with his fist up ready for a brawl
But it was just jasiri, "Hey bunga" jasiri said with a smile
"Hey your that hyena that helped kion when he was in the outlands" bunga said now recognizing who she was.
"Jasiri what brings you here to the pridelands" kion said happy to see jasiri again and also wanting to know why she's here.
"I need your help" she said in a desperate tone.
"What's the problem, is it janja and his clan" kion assuming it was janja for obvious reasons.
"No it's not janja, this time it's was group of lions, they took my clans watering hole" jasiri said
"Lions? in the outlands" kion said confused on why their are lions in the outlands.
"Yes, I was hoping you could" asked jasiri
Kion saw the sadness in jasiri's eyes and agreed in a heart beat.
"Of course I'll help you that's what friends do right" kion said to jasiri with a reassuring smile
Jasiri smiled that kion agreed to help her. "Bunga go tell the guard I'll be helping jasiri in the outlands" kion said as he began walking away with jasiri
"Got it and by the way I win" bunga said triumphantly and walked away to the lair.
Jasiri led kion to where her clan was staying and they had some playful chatter amongst themselves and then kion asked how they took the watering hole.
"They threatened to kill my sister madoa if we didn't give it to them so we had no choice but to agree" she said with a sad tone.
Kion felt bad for jasiri and got more angry at these lions. He saw jasiri with a sad look on her face and he decided to cheer her up with a hug. He grabbed her and held her tight to his body with his arms around her waist. Jasiri was taken by surprise at what kion was doing, I promise I'll do everything I can to help you and your clan I promise you that as your friend. Jasiri slowly closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck and enjoyed the feeling of his caring and protective ness. Then kion let go of her and they both looked away blushing, "ahem lets continue on shall we" jasiri suggested, "yeah lets" kion said agreeing with her. When they arrived madoa was playing with tunu and wema, but when the cubs saw kion they immediately ran behind a rock to hide. "Jasiri your back, and this must be your friend kion you told us about" madoa said greeting her sister and noticing kion with her."Kion this is my sister madoa" jasiri said introducing her to kion. Tunu and wema were looking out from behind a rock wondering why the young cub didn't hurt or any member of their clan.
"Hey there you 2 no need to be afraid" kion said trying to reassure the cubs that he was a friend, but they stayed behind the rock for safety.
"You can't blame them all they know is bad lions" madoa said explaining why they are acting cautiously.
"Yeah jasiri told me about what happened on the way here" kion said knowing what she meant.
"They've taken are home and those to need their water" madoa said looking back at her cubs.
"Don't worry I promised jasiri I'd help and that's exactly what I plan to do" kion said assuring her that he will help them
Madoa was surprised at his desire to help jasiri and looked towards her sister, " I told he could help" jasiri said with a sly smirk.
"Lions are reasonable so I'm sure we can work things out" kion said suggesting his idea. "I'll wait for you over when your ready" kion said walking away.
"He's a fine one isn't he" madoa said, "yeah he is" jasiri said looking at kion a little dreamy. "And handsome as well" madoa said, "Yeah he-" jasiri cut herself off realizing just what her sister was trying to do. "Don't you dare go their madoa" jasiri said with a stern look towards her sister, "ok ok I won't just messing with you" madoa said quickly backing off. "Just be careful" she said, "I will I got the leader of the lion guard watching my back" jasiri said reassuring her sister that she'll be fine.
And with that jasiri began leading kion to where her clans watering hole is. "I got to say kion I really appreciate you doing this" jasiri said thanking him. "Don't mention it that's what friends are for right" kion said. "True but if it was just janja and his clan me and my clan could take care of it know problem but this time it lions" she said with a little concern in her voice.
Then nuka out of no where pounced on jasiri and pinned her to the ground. " I thought I told you to stay out of here hyena" nuka said menacingly towards jasiri. Kion grew angry and growled " HEY GET OFF OF HER!" kion yelled threateningly at nuka and then pounced. "Nuka" said a voice, "kovu tell him to let me up" nuka pleaded. "Friend of yours" kion questioned the young cub", "eh he's my brother" kovu responded not sounding really about it. "Thats right so you better let me up it's 2 against 1 now" nuka said confidently.
"No it's 2 against 2" jasiri shot back.
"Really it should be 3 on 1 what kind of lion are you siding with a hyena" nuka said with disgust.
"I'm here helping her, now why are lions in the outlands and not in the pridelands" kion asked.
"Well are family isn't really welcome their" nuka responded.
"Who even are you" nuka asked
"I'm kion son of simba and leader of the lion guard" kion said stepping onto a rock and towering over them
"And I'm sure my father would let return to the pridelands". said easing his tone a little.
"Back to the pridelands" kovu repeated, " that means I can see kiara again" kovu said which got kions attention.
"You know kiara" kion asked curiously.
"Yeah" kovu responded, " we ran into each other a few years ago" he said
"Nuka we got to take him to mom" kovu said
"Alright kion, hyena, lets go" nuka said leading the 2 two where their mother is.
After some walking arrived at the watering hole. Zira was getting a drink while vitani was grooming her fur when "mother were back and we have company" nuka anounced.
When vitani looked over at kion and she was breath taken when she saw the prince, did hadn't seen such a handsome lion before but she quickly shook her head straight as not to cause an awkward scene. "Who is this " zira asked intrigued on who this is. "This is kion simbas son" kovu answered, "he pinned me" nuka added. "Zira wasn't that surprised but was interested because a cub younger than nuka pinning him down was still a good feat. "Hello kion I am zira " she introduced herself, "and this is my daughter vitani" she introduced her daughter next. "A lion and a hyena hmm" she said curious that a lion is friends with a hyena.
"He's simbas son" kovu said, "simba's son I underestimated you my dear" zira said impressed by the young hyena.
"He's not just simba's son he's also leader of the lion guard" jasiri retorted.
"Leader of the lion guard but they aren't here" zira stated a little surprised, but figured she could use this to her advantage.
"They aren't but I am" kion stated.
"I'm here to talk about the watering hole you took from jasiris clan" kion said.
"Well why don't use the roar to give her clan they need" zira said casually.
"What do you mean by that" kion asked curiously.
"Well I was close with the previous leader of the guard scar we were close" she said.
"He taught me many things about the roar's power" she stated.
"What kind of power's?" kion asked.
She looked towards a cloud and new a good example to show him, "you see that cloud" she asked.
"Yeah what about it" he asked wondering what the old lioness was getting at.
"Roar at it" she said, "ok" kion responded a little confused.
As everyone moved behind him kion focused and roared at the cloud. He was astonished at what he saw, the cloud began raining. Kovu, vitani, and nuka were astonished at seeing the roar, and jasiri was surprised again she didn't know kion could do that.
"Kion could you always do that" jasiri asked kion still surprised.
"No that's all new to me" kion said honestly.
"I can tell you more about the roar but I would like it if we were alone first" zira said.
Kion thought it over he knew what type of person she is but if he could more things about the roar had to take it.
"Alright" he agreed to go with her.
"Excellent this way please, play nice while were gone kids" she said walking away with kion.
"Kion" jasiri said getting his attention, "jasiri I understand your concern but if their is a chance to learn more about the roar I have to try and find out but don't worry" kion reasoned with her.
"Ok just be careful she's quiet devious and don't trust everything she says" jasiri warned.
"I will" he said, then he went off with zira where her pride lives.
when they got to the cave zira sung a little song expressing how lions are all dominant, ( you should already know what song I'm talking about).
"Alright zira were alone like you asked now tell me about the roar" he asked
"I will kion don't worry I just need to ask you one thing" she said as to of her lioness came out of the cave cutting off kion escape.
"Zira what's going on" kion demanded to know.
"It's simple kion you are either with me or against me" she asked.
"I'm on the side of the circle of life and those who respect it" kion said knowing that would answering her question.
Zira sighed "you do take after your father don't you" she said realizing that she wasn't going to convince him to join her.
"If it wasn't for your father than scar would still be king" she said with anger.
"Scar was never the real king!" kion yelled with force behind it making zira step back.
And when he did he noticed that he was surrounded.
And when he did he noticed the arrival of nuka, kovu, and vitani arriving so he thought zira sent for them.
"What are they doing here" kion asked "they are here to watch you fall" zira responded.
"Mom why are doing this, he can talk to simba about going back to the pridelands" kovu pleaded
"Ooh please you just want to see that little princess of yours" nuka teased.
Kovu blushed a little and looked away and his mother noticed.
"Well kovu you'll see her when we take the pridelands, and when simba is dead, and you can make kiara your queen" zira said
"But you must ruthless like scar was" she said glaring at kovu and he was scared at what his mother told him.
Kion saw this and thought he deserved better
Kion then tried to fight his way throught to the cave but ended was tougher than he thought. Zira swiped at his face but she got nocked back not without scaring kions left eye. He was driven into a corner and remembered that he had the roar.
"Back off you know I have the roar and I am not afraid to use it" kion warned them.
"Oh I know but if you remember scar used it on lions and lost it forever" she said with a grin.
"No your wrong I know the truth" kion stated
Zira was shocked to here this.
"No kion listen to me" she pleaded to kion, "oh I have listened and I know what kind of person you are" he said.
"Rafiki told me how scar lost the roar because he used it for evil" he stated
"And kovu doesn't deserve to be with you" he said standing up for him.
Kovu was surprised that kion was standing up for him.
"Hey kovu how would you like to join me in the pridelands" he offered
Kovu was hesitant but he wanted to see kiara more than ever than being a king the way his mother wanted so he stepped towards kion and stood next to him firmly stating his choice.
"You traitor!" zira scolded him for his betrayel.
"Sorry mom but I want to be with kiara more than be a monster like scar was cause the pridelands became a barren waste land when he was incharge!" he stated venting out his anger.
"And know this zira as long as me and the lion guard are around you aren't welcome in the pridelands or outlands" he stated while the winds started to pickup ziras face went to shock after realizing what was coming.
"NO you wouldn't were lions!" she pleaded
But it didn't work since he roared them away with all of his might into the termite mounds of the wastelands.
"Where are we " nuka asked.
"Are new home" zira answered.
"Sorry about that kovu" kion said sympathetically to kovu.
"It's ok I at least get to see kiara again" said with a smile.
Kion smile back and noticed the rest of the guard arriving with jasiri. They were wondering what happened when they herd the roar. Then they noticed kion had a scar over his left eye and asked him what happened. Kion explained what happened and told them not to worry. He then introduced kovu to the others and they were friendly towards him. Then they made their way to jasiris clan and told them that they can return to their watering hole. They were excited to return to their home the twins hugged kion and he patted their heads and the twins went off to play. Madoa went up to kion "kion we can't thank you enough for helping us". "Don't mention it, it was the right thing to do". Jasiri went up to kion and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He was shocked " what was that for" he asked confused. Jasiri smirked " for all the help you've done for us" she said. And with that the guard with kovu returned to the pridelands kion had his hand over the spot where jasiri kissed him.
Madoa had a sly grin on her face, "look who made the first move" she teased. "It wasn't that I was just thanking him thats all nothing more nothing less" jasiri said looking away bushing madly. Madoa kept her grin and slowly shook her head not believing her sister, "what every you say sis" madoa said.
When the guard got back, beshte, ono, fuli, and bunga all went home. Kion took kovu to pride rock where he lived. When they were walking up the ramp up and they noticed many of the young females were staring at them some at kion some at kovu but they shrugged it off and ignored them. When they got to the royal den they went it and kovu and kiara met eyes "kiara!"he yelled, "kovu!" she yelled back. But simba was a bit angered at this, "what is an outsider doing here kion" he asked demanding what's going on. "Don't worry dad kovus with me, he was against his mother and joined my side"he sated, "kovu is not like the other outsiders I can confirm it" he finished and then explained to him what happened and simba then calmed down. "I see well if that is the case then he can stay" he announced. Kiara was happy to have her friend with her. "Their is also one more thing to do" he said. They were wondering what he was talking about, he walked up to kovu and gave him the mark of the lion. "Welcome to the guard kovu" he said with a smile, "are you sure" he asked for confirmation. Kion nodded and everyone then talked until it was time to go to bed. Before kion went to sleep kovu got his attention.
"Hey kion" he asked whispering not to disturb anyone.
"Yea what's up" he responded.
"I just wanted to say thank you" he said gladly.
"Don't mention it now lets get some sleep" he said feeling tired.
Kovu agreed and went off to sleep enjoying being on the right side than with his family that would hurt and kill others to get what they want, things were looking up for him all because of kion.
And kovu cannot wait for tomorrow of his new life as not only a pridelander but a member of the lion guard.
