The old guard of kings are gone. Now a new group have taken their place, but they have a different problem to deal with. Now there are beings who believe themselves heroes or villains because of a strange power they have called quirks. But how will one boy deal with this as he becomes not just a new king of the world, but also seeks to be a hero in public. Might be some shipping.

Chapter 3

Obviously this will be about Izuku settling into the first few days at the academy. Also, I plan to introduce my other Campione soon. They have their own interests in seeing what Izuku can become. So one with the show.

(No POV)

When Izuku received his letter from UA, he wasn't too surprised by a few of the results. 'I knew I had scored an impressive number of points just from fighting villains. But the rescue points; that was a surprise. As was the fact of who delivered my results.' When All Might popped up on the holoprojection, Izuku was stunned. But even more so when he announced that he would be teaching at UA.

(Flashback)

"I AM HERE AS A PROJECTION! Now then young Midoriya. You scored quite well during the written portion of the exam. But that isn't the part you are concerned about is it?" No kidding. I know I racked up an impressive number given how many robots I took down, but still. "During the battle you earned a total of 80 points! But that isn't all we look at here."

Wait reallll… Oh of course. Saving someone. Its probably a factor to all of this as well! "During the battle, you not only focused on defeating the villains but also on the saving of your fellow applicants. And then you went in to stop a terrifying threat, with no hope of reward." The projector showed each of my actions saving other students, and then the big one of protecting Uraraka and Yanagi.

"Though some wanted to give you a full 80 points for that one as well, others did note you have some issues with controlling your strength. As well as the possible collateral damage you could entail during battle. But still an impressive showing and good work during the exam. Awarding you another 60 points!" I guess that is true. I probably need to consider what would happen if I'm fighting a big villain and the collateral damage that follows it. I'm actually kind of glad they caught me and called me out on that one.

But what All Might says next makes me very happy. "Come young Midoriya. This is your hero academia!" He says with a hand outstretched. While Xeimei has constantly told me that I wouldn't need to work due to my new status, I still want to save as many people as I can. And I want to at least try and inspire those around me.

As Izuku is finishing preparing for the first day at UA, he thinks back more on what led him to this point. And the big battle that brought him to this point. "I'm proud of you son. I don't know where these powers came from, but I'm glad you can follow your dream," Izuku hears his father say as he was putting his backpack on. Thanks to some from the CCTH, his father was able to move up in his company and be able to be home much more. This was also a benefit to his mother as she had less to worry about. And as Izuku is leaving to go to his first day at UA, both of his parents tell him: "You look really cool son."

While on his way to school, Izuku mulls over what he can do and how he could apply it for hero work and school. He knows the activation for most of his authorities, he still isn't sure on all of the applications. He can use all of the Herakles authorities but most of that is thanks to the passive elements of each.

"You're thinking too much again Izuku. You have to learn to slow down or stop running your mind a mile a minute." Izuku hears this behind him. Walking up is Xeimei decked out in a UA uniform as well. She had of course scored exceptionally well on the exam, earning about 60 points from villains.

But her actions at stopping the zero-pointer had netted her another 60 points. "Using the metal of the machine itself to bind it. Definitely an impressive way to show your powers. But what was it you used?" Izuku asked Xeimei after they compared notes on their exams. "Oh. It was western alchemy mixed with some Taoist elemental arts. I wanted to use some other spells to interrupt or deactivate the robot's functions. But I couldn't restructure the spell the way I wanted and…."

Xeimei starts on her own semi-mumble spree about magic with Izuku sweat dropping next to her. 'I guess this is what it is like to others when I started on my hero and quirk analysis rants. Better stop her before we get to the train.' At a quick shoulder touch, Izuku snaps Xeimei out of her magic analysis. She blushes before thanking Izuku.

After a quick train ride, the two are in front of UA academy. 'I know you can't see it yet Kaachan. But I made it. I've taken the first real step on the dream we shared. Hopefully you'll wake up soon.' Izuku thinks to himself as they walk into the main building of the school. When they reach class 1-A, Izuku is quick to notice the large door at the front. "Probably for students whose quirks make them extra-large," he says while opening the door. Xeimei snorts and shakes her head as they walk in.

When they get there, they are quickly set upon by five of the students. The first is the tall boy that called out to Izuku at the entrance exam. He introduces himself as Ida Tenya before saying, "you understood a hidden factor to the exam didn't you? You knew there was something more to what the zero-point villain represented?!" Izuku is a bit off put by his statements, but the other guy has him confused as well. The blonde-haired boy who introduces himself as Aoyama Yuga comments, "you have quite the powerful flash don't you? The way you smashed through the robots may not have been elegant, but it was inspiring. Let alone tossing the zero-pointer somewhere far away!"

Xeimei though is being hounded by a trio of boys. Or rather only two of the three. One red spikey haired Kirishima Eijiro comments that, "the way you use all those elements and everything! And then when you touched the zero-pointer and tied it up with itself! So epic and manly!" The other two are the resident perverts of class 1-A, Mineta Minoru and Kaminari Denki. The former tries to brag himself up while inching closer to her chest and the later is pestering her for a date.

Xeimei decides she's had enough of all of them and snaps her fingers. Turning the ground beneath them into bindings and pulling them back. Though the bindings on Ida, Aoyama, and Kirishima aren't that tight. Izuku can roughly tell what she is thinking though, before shaking his head. Xeimei lets out a small sigh and says, "can we please get some breathing room? Its only the first day, you don't need to hound us that much."

Ida perks up at that and quickly bows and apologizes for being so upfront. As does Kirishima, with Kaminari and Mineta trying to seem like better guys. Aoyama….. Well, no one can tell what he is thinking. Izuku gets surprised by another voice behind him though. "Hey Izuku! I guess we're in the same class!" The two mages turn and see Ochaco standing in the doorway. Izuku smiles and tells the pink cheeked girl he is happy to see her as well. Xeimei coughs before Izuku introduces her. "Xeimei this is Uraraka. She was at my exam site." "Oh, this is one of the girls you saved from the zero-pointer. Nice to meet you. I'm Xeimei Sun. Oh I'm using a more western style of introduction, so it would be Sun Xeimei in my homeland of China or here in Japan."

This intrigues a few of the others who had been watching the interactions at the front of the class. With one exception. However, the intrigue is interrupted by a new voice at the door. "If you're here to make friends, I suggest you take it elsewhere." The three standing at the door look over and see…. A large yellow caterpillar with a man's face? Said being then stands and unzips the caterpillar body, or rather the yellow sleeping bag he was moving around in. "Okay am I the only one thinking this is weird?" Xeimei asks while pointing at the man.

"I would say you all aren't rational enough, but I can at least understand your confusion and I appreciate the fact that you questioned what you saw Miss Sun. Anyway, I'm your homeroom teacher Aizawa Shota. Now then, grab the PE uniforms in your desks and meet me at the phys ed grounds," the now named teacher says to the students that are looking to him.

They aren't sure what to think but they go along with what the teacher says and change. When they reach the phys ed grounds, Aizawa is already standing there with a few measuring devices around. Aizawa nods when class 1-A arrives and gives them the run down. "We're having a quirk assessment test. Midoriya, what was your softball throw distance in highschool?" Aizawa says and asks while tossing a metal softball to said teen.

"Um 46 meters? Wait do you want me to use my maximum strength here?" Izuku asks while looking at Aizawa with confusion. Aizawa nods before saying, "got it in one guess. That's right. I want you to use your quirk to its maximum to throw the ball." Izuku breathes in and blows out with some trepidation. But at the same time, he is excited. 'I threw that robot as hard as I could before, but I still don't know where it landed. Maybe this could give me an idea on my max strength.' Izuku then steps into the circle and winds up his throw.

He throws the ball with so much force that he breaks the sound barrier a few times over. And when the measuring device beeps, it comes back with infinity. This shocks everyone, Aizawa included. He had tried to shut Midoriya's power down, but he couldn't. "HOW DID HE THROW TO INIFINITY?!" A tall onyx haired girl asks after staring at the results. Aizawa flatly explains, "he threw the ball out of the atmosphere. Much like you did with the zero-pointer." "Wait! I threw it WHERE?!" Izuku asks with his own jaw dropped.

Aizawa just looks at the teen with confusion before asking, "wait you didn't know how far you threw it? Wasn't that what you were aiming for?" Izuku sheepishly looks down while tapping his index finger together before saying, "I was really…. Honestly, I wasn't aiming for anything. Maybe the ocean but I wasn't planning to throw it into space." Aizawa has a painfully deadpan face at realizing this insanely powerful teen has no idea on what he could actually do.

So, with a sigh he continues on with the test. "Now then. Each of you will be taking the standard fitness tests, but with the caveat that you all can use your quirks however you want." When a few of the students mention that doing the test will be fun Aizawa is quick to glare at them. That is when Izuku recognizes the man. 'The Erasure hero: Eraserhead. I'm guess they have him as a general counter to most teens with overpowered quirks. Me and Xeimei are exceptions because we not only work on magic, but most of the quirks he can't counter don't have the same level of strength.' Izuku thinks to himself. Though what Aizawa says next scares the rest of the teens.

"Whoever places last in this exam, will be expelled from the hero course." At that all of the teens start freaking out about the ultimatum. But Izuku steps up to say something himself. "This isn't some game we're playing here. WE are all aiming to become heroes, right? So that means putting our lives on the line. I've seen it a few ways for myself. An old friend of mine is in a coma, because a few heroes couldn't save him fast enough. Xeimei and I saw in China the results of a devastating set of earthquakes and landslides. We're not kids playing hero in the park anymore. This is the real deal," Izuku says with a fierce look of determination. Aizawa's eyes widen at what this teenage had said. Not just because he was going to say that, but also because the boy had experienced the types of things that could break some heroes. 'And yet he's still here,' Aizawa thinks to himself with a smile starting to build on his face.

After hearing that, most of the quirked teens are resolved to try and do their best with the tests. Xeimei though smiles at the speech her king had delivered and vowed to show the best of her ability. Once the tests are done, to no ones surprise Izuku took the top spot of the test. Behind him were the onyx haired girl named Yaoyorozu Momo and Xeimei who tied with one another.

And sitting at the bottom was none other than Mineta. While the short boy had some tears in his eyes, he gripped his fists and started to walk away. 'I did all I could with my quirk but… It wasn't enough. Even the invisible girl scored higher than I did. I guess I won't get the chance to be a cool hero after all.' Mineta thinks as he walks to clear out his locker. "Hold up Mineta. I didn't say you were expelled." They all hear that from none other than Aizawa.

The whole of the class looks to the man, who is pocketing the measuring device. Aizawa then looks at the boy and the rest before saying, "I lied. I wanted each of you to put out your best, so I lied to make you put out. That said; Mineta. I want to have a word with you after class. And I will acknowledge the work you have put in to try and make the most of your quirk." At hearing all of that the class is stunned and Mineta drops to his knees in relief.

Momo though states she knew he was lying and questions if she should have said something. While the rest are mentally shouting that she should have, Izuku and Xeimei are having a different conversation. 'I think he's weaving lies within lies here Izuku. He would have expelled someone who didn't put out enough.' 'But the fact that most of them did put out as best they could, was enough for him to see that they have potential. And if Mineta hadn't put out as much, he would have been gone.'

Once the day is done, the hero students are starting to file out. However, both Ochaco and Izuku note something. "I didn't see Yanagi in class today. Is she in a different class?" Izuku asks while leaving the classroom. "Indeed I am my impressive savior. I stand in the class parallel with your own," Reiko says while walking up to both Izuku and Ochaco. Xeimei then steps up behind and introduces herself to the silver haired telekinetic. As they all go home, Izuku is watched by a few different people.

From Mineta and Kaminari, as well as Kosei Tsubarabara and Awase Yosetsu from class 1-B who were jealous that the boy had so many girls around him. From the number 4 ranked student from the apprehension test, Todoroki Shoto, he just saw Izuku as a wall to break down or climb. But for the few members of the CCTH that were observing, they were not only making some plans to introduce their mages to the newest king. But also to get his help with a terrifying matter around Okoyama and into the island of Koichi.

Two days later though would come the next test for the students. Aizawa told his class to put on their costumes and meet at battleground beta for their next class. For Izuku's costume, he does have a jumpsuit that his mother made. But he has added a few other pieces to better disguise, or try to disguise, some of what he can do. Also instead of a hood with ears like All Might's hair, he has instead opted for a tiger or lion like hood. "In reference to the big cats associated with two of your authority origins?" Xeimei teased as she and Izuku walked out.

Izuku looked over at his mage and nodded at what he saw. It was similar to her uniform with the Nine Realms Syndicate, a black and red qipao with shortened skirt to allow for better movement. Though it was also magically armored, as were the tights she wore. On her back was her jian in a sheath. She passed it off to the costume designers and the school as a family heirloom, and a part of her heritage. For her hair though she had it in a braid going down her back, and a trigram yin yang pin at the end of the braid.

When they arrived, they could see all of their classmates in their costumes. Though both of the magical fighters' eyebrows raised at Momo's…. open front leotard, and a short blonde horned girl who clearly had a saddle on her back and harnesses around her neck and arms. "So is the one into horse play or….." Xeimei muttered to Izuku. The fourth king of the current age blushed at that thought but pushed it aside for the time being. Because there was a new issue at hand.

"I AM! COMING INTO THE ARENA LIKE A HERO!" All Might exclaims as he leaps down from above with his cape fluttering behind him. "Welcome students! To your first heroics class!" When All Might says this, most of the students start gushing and cheering. And even though Izuku isn't his biggest fan anymore, he can't deny a bit of a smile gracing his face. All Might then goes on to explain what they will be doing in the class today. "You will be facing each other in a BATTLE TRIAL! Most criminal activities nowadays are carried out indoors and in shady locations. Backroom deals, weapon smuggling etc. So for today we will have each of you pair up and face each other in an imagined scenario!"

All Might explains the premise of the battle being that a pair of villains have a nuclear weapon hidden away in an abandoned building. And the heroes must either capture the villains or recover the weapons by touching it. "In contrast the villain team must either stall the heroes until time runs out or capture the heroes. Now then we will draw lots to decide your teammates," All Might says to round out his explanation. Most of the teen gathered think that the scenario seems like a bad movie or episode of a show plot. Ida then questions the need to draw lots, but Xeimei brings up the point. "Think about it; if you're chasing a villain, chances are you're going to wind up in a different section of town where other heroes are. And you'll probably need to team up to stop them." "Ah fair point miss Sun. I see you live up to your family name of wisdom. Pardon my rudeness!" Ida says before drawing his number.

Team D: Todoroki Shoto and Kamakiri Togaru

Team H: Xeimei Sun and Tokage Setsuna

Team I: Komori Kinoko and Ashido Mina

Team J: Aoyama Yuga and Awase Yosetsu

Team K: Kirishima Eijiro and Fukidashi Manga

Team L: Bondo Kojiro and Rin Hiryu

Team M: Jiro Kyoka and Ojiro Mashiro

Team N: Kaminari Denki and Tsunotori Pony

With the teams set, the battles opponents could be chosen. All Might ran the teams through a randomizer and the first match set up was Team A the heroes vs Team D the villains. With that done All Might told each team to head for their designated start points. When Team D reached the floor where the weapon was stored at, Kamakiri tried to get to know his teammate. But Todoroki was having none of it. "I'll handle things. You won't be able to stop Midoriya that is for sure," the bi-colored teen said coldly. Kosei was put off by his partner's callous attitude, and about to lash out with is quirk. But he remembered that the boy was one of the four recommended students. So he agrees with a grumble.

For Momo and Izuku though, they are both working on a plan. "Todoroki is probably going to freeze the whole building below the floor where the weapon is stored. Likely after about a minute. While I'm tempted to jump to the top and come down that way, he'll know if we do that," Izuku says to Momo after she explained how her quirk worked. The taller girl nodded before putting forth her own points.

"And if we come through the lower floors, then he can stall us. Even if you can break through his ice, it could cause damage to the building. And as heroes we should avoid that at all costs," Momo says with her hand under her chin. Izuku thinks for a moment as well before asking if she could make ascension equipment. Momo puts together what Izuku has in mind and creates a grapple gun based on some tech support hero gadgets she had learned about before. With that the two's plan is set, and they just have to wait for All Might to call the start of the exercise.

Once it is, the two wait for about a minute. And just as Izuku predicted, Todoroki froze the fifth floor and below. "Alright Midoriya. You keep Todoroki busy, while I head to the sixth floor and try to catch Kosei off guard. Keep him focused on you as long as you can," Momo says while aiming her grapple gun. Izuku nods and walks into the frozen building.

He doesn't bump into Todoroki until the third floor. "I'm not surprised you'd be able to break out easily Midoriya. And I'm guessing you can break through all of my ice. But I don't have to beat you. I just have to stop you," Todoroki says and his frozen over side's eye glows brighter. Izuku grits his teeth before breaking through a few of the ice waves Todoroki sends his way. And when he leaps forward to try and punch the boy in the face, Todoroki slides away on his ice.

Meanwhile Momo had reached the sixth floor and confirmed what she and Izuku had guessed. "Midoriya! I found the weapon. I'll try to take down Kamakiri-" "Not likely!" Kamakiri shouts as he unleashes the blades from his arms and leaps at Momo. She creates a shield on each arm to try and block the pugilistic teen, but he keeps pushing her back.

After hearing her scream after getting knocked into something, Izuku grips his fist before saying to himself, "I know this is training. But I wouldn't be me if I didn't save her. No choice." With that Izuku steels himself and creates something with his authority. Xeimei senses it, and it slightly shows up on the screen. "What the heck is Midoriya doing?" Mineta asks as the rest look on. A few others question the purpose of the thing Izuku made, but they know they may get the answer soon.

As Izuku slowly turns another corner, he sees Todoroki standing there ready to strike. Izuku smirks before saying, "pretty pitiful ice you keep hitting me with. Why don't you give me your best shot? Because I know you're too weak to stop me otherwise." Definitely a weak taunt as far as that goes but calling him weak and his ice pitiful is enough to annoy the boy to put out more. He unleashes the strongest wave he can at Izuku. But the green haired teen smiles. And throws what looks like a rubber ball at the ice wave.

Right as it impacts, all of the ice disappears. And because Izuku threw it with such strength, it keeps flying right at Todoroki. The bi-colored boy is shocked to see his ice gone, but he still dodges out of the ball. When it bounces against the wall, and back towards him, Izuku is already close. And hip bounces the ball right into Todoroki. The ball hits him in the stomach, and flash freezes him in place. Todoroki's head is still free, so Izuku tells him, "Thanks for the attack. I wasn't sure how well that would work." Before running off to help Momo.

Izuku then taps deeper into Xbalanque's speed and agility and quickly reaches the room Momo told him about. But he doesn't need to worry too much. Momo had turned her situation around, and now had Kamakiri on the back foot. With one last flashbang to stun the mantis headed boy, Momo creates a taser and shocks him. "Guess I didn't have to worry after all," Izuku says while walking to the weapon and ending the exercise. Momo catches her breath before saying, "if he hadn't started monologuing about how he was going to beat me down you would have something to worry about." With that the first battle is done.

Yeah I wanted to introduce a few other authorities and show how it would work in a fight against some characters. To be fair, this would only work against certain emitter types of quirks; like Katsuki, Denki, or even Jiro. But ones like Momo or even Ida wouldn't be affected. It's mostly to set up how overpower Izuku is now that he is a Campione. Anyway, please review!
