A tired Team Seven made their way through the large Northern Gate of Konoha. As soon as the were in the village once more they relaxed themselves, it wouldn't do well to be tightly wound in front of the Hokage. To the people who saw Team Seven walking down the Road to the sign in station, one thing was very apparent. Team Seven had seen combat. All five members of the team had blood on their person. It did not look to be theirs. The Team's faces were grim and joyless. " Team Seven reporting back in the village. We need to see the Hokage asap" Kakashi told Koetsu. The gate guard. Koetsu nodded and said"You may go now,I'll file the report under extenuating circumstances." Team Seven took off to see the Hokage, sprinting across the rooftops.
Hiruzen felt Team Seven approaching, their collective chakras were feeling excited and tired."Team nine hold on your report." He ordered. Might Guy could feel Kakashi and Hiro before they appeared at the window… Something was wrong and his instinct told him, he was going to hate it. Guy's Genin team, Rock Lee, Neji Hyuga and Tenten looked at the complete turn around of the Hokage's mood. "Guy-Sensei?" Neji asked. Hiro Uzumaki appeared at the window. Hiruzen and Team Nine took note that Team Seven had blood on their persons and it did not appear to be theirs. Hiruzen looked Naruto in the eye and saw that a grim determination. Naruto also looked joyless, a clear sign he'd fought and killed, at that moment the old Sarutobi felt pride, and a bit of sadness. Hiruzen looked at Sasuke and Sakura in turn as well their faces and eyes reflected Naruto's. Hiro Uzumaki 's chakra was felt by the old Hokage and it was telling him that the man in question was furious and happy, Hiruzen summized that is was anger at what had happened and relief that his Genin were safe.
Being that it was open he asked "Permission to enter Hokage-sama?" Hiruzen gave an affirmative. Team Seven came through the window,"Team Seven returning from a successful B-rank mission." Hiro stated. Hiruzen knew something was amiss. "What's the issue, your Genin look ready to sleep." Hiruzen jested,he was not expecting what Kakashi then told him. "We were attacked by a squad of Iwa-nin,only sixty five kilometers from Konoha, of them was Daktsuchi,he is now deceased though. We double-timedi it back to the village." Kakashi informed the Hokage. Hiruzen's face set itself into a grim expression. Kakashi gave a detailed account of the attack. Team Seven had killed no less than eight Iwa-nin. The Genin had killed five. Naruto and Sasuke killing two each,with Sakura killing the remaining one. Kakashi had killed Daktsuchi while Hiro had taken out two Iwa Chunin. To say Hiruzen was not happy would be a monumental understatement. The Hokage stood. "Anbu! Get all available Active duty Jounin to the conference room. Now!" He barked out." Team Seven, Team Nine, Go home and rest your respective Sensei's will fill you in tomorrow." The Genin left to do as ordered. Hiruzen's mind raced with the possibilities of what these events meant, could lead to and the why and how a bunch of Iwa-nin got through the border without being seen or at atleast sensed. Kakashi's mind replayed the events of the day, his team had killed enemy ninja, without a seconds hesitation and with fluid teamwork.
Kakashi was beaming with pride, Hiro saw it, he felt the same way. Their team was good, and would only get better, the Two Jounin would make sure the Genin would of Team Seven reached the immense potential, no matter how they had to tort...train them. Might Guy looked at his eternal rival and his teaching/training partner. Guy could tell the challenges him and Kakashi undertook would be alot harder for him now. Hiro it seemed to Guy had gotten Kakashi to start training seriously again.
The Hokage looked at the three Jounin. Making a motion to follow him,the Hokage spoke once more. "Hiro,Kakashi, you're one hundred percent sure it was Daktsuchi?" Kakashi nodded in affirmation. "Yes Hokage-sama.I killed him myself. He fit the description in the bingo book to the letter." Kakashi stated, his usual lazy drawl wasn't present. Hiruzen sighed. He was getting far too old for this shit. Two Anbu were already stationed outside of the conference room. They opened the door upon seeing their leader. The room was already full. The assembled ninja were talking,most wondering what was going on to warrant this meeting,until one saw the Hokage. "ATTENTION!''she barked one body every ninja in the room sans the Hokage and his entourage snapped to full alert and attention. The Hokage nodded to Hiro``Close the doors." Hiro did so,he also added the Fuinjutsu "Shizukana Kami ga Hanasu '' He muttered. Hiruzen raised his eyebrow at the very potent silencing Hiro had just put the room in. Hiro just grinned. Hiruzen then spoke. " Today Team Seven Was ambushed by Iwa-nin on the way home from a mission. They are not harmed. In fact the entire ambushing squad was killed." He paused to let what he had said sink in. Continuing on '' The reason I've called this meeting is because Team Seven was only sixty five kilometers from Konoha, Also one of the attacking squad was Daktsuchi no Jisuberi." One Jounin asked " Are we sure? Daktsuchi was extremely loyal to Iwa. He wouldn't be anywhere near here unless ordered to do so" The Hokage nodded " Kakashi killed the man himself. We are stepping patrols of the border we share with Tsuchi no Kuni. If you are not scheduled to take an A-rank or above mission you will be on rotation for Border patrol. We will have sweeps and WE WILL find out why they were in our territory. Consider the village to be on pre-war alert status for the forseeable future. Now...
