A/N: A Present-Day AU of Seven and Sice having a chat about St. Patrick's Day. Seven LOVES the holiday, Sice can't stand it. Length wise, this isn't long. Pairing: Seven/Sice (dating)

A Different Kind of Good Luck

"What the fuck, Seven?!? Why am I being dragged HERE, of all places...?" Sice asks out loud, complaining for the millionth time about being dragged to a river by varying buildings by her girlfriend for reasons unknown. Which everyone else was clearly able to hear from a mile away. As for Seven, the silver haired woman in question was paying attention to the river before them, without a single care in the world if anyone bad an opinion on it. Oddly enough Seven seemingly didn't hear her girlfriend's complaint... or she chose to ignore it. Yet again.

Today is St. Patrick's Day, with the river near Akademia is dyed green. If anything, this was something Seven made a priority to see each year since she's been able to. Now that she and Sice are a couple, this was far more special to the silver haired woman this time around than in the past. For the time being, Seven just keeps on looking at the river, which brings a calming effect to her life, not paying attention to anything else before Sice's Bitch Complex resurfaces to which Seven is finally forced to hear her girlfriend's whine... again.

Seven took a few minutes to gather her thoughts on the matter before FINALLY answering her girlfriend's question. "Sice, I wanted to bring you here, the place where I get away from the ruckus in my life, to show you a piece of me. I guess you can call me selfish because you've shown me so much yet I didn't do the same in return. A part of me was thinking of doing something small but Deuce suggested this instead. I wasn't sure if you'd like this but I wanted to at least try..." Seven explained to her girlfriend, which Sice picked up the sincerity behind what Seven said, that her words and actions are true, and that Seven had been selfish.

Sice had to think about this, Seven's reasoning behind this date to just look at a river dyed green instead of an action packed date that Sice would prefer to have with her silver haired girlfriend. After what seemed to be eternity, Sice finally gathered the courage and closed the gap so that the white haired woman could give a kiss to Seven's cheek, grateful for a change in things. On St. Patrick's Day, of all days.

A few minutes later, a basket shows up, big in size, with blankets, food and drink for the couple to enjoy. The note, from Deuce of all people, makes it known to Sice that Seven needed WAY more help in this area than Sice had thought. In a way, one could say that Seven was starting to fight for Sice's love as competition showed itself, to the point where it made Seven jealous. Without any delay, Seven sets up the open area near the river for the picnic portion of their date, with the basket filled with all of Sice's favourite dishes and desserts, accompanied by a bottle of their favourite wine.

The couple would devour the food Deuce had managed to prepare and enjoy the remainder of their date in peace. With the sight of the green river, it gave Sice a different perspective on St. Patrick's Day, a day that gave her the good luck with keeping Seven in her life, as well as having Deuce as one who proved her loyalty to the couple.

For today brought a different kind of good luck to Sice.

A/N #2: Next story is a Fangrai tale set in the New World AU, after the secret ending from Lightning Returns. With the way things have been going lately, I honestly don't know when it'll be posted.
