In the New World/Post LR AU, Fang is on a mission to find Lightning - for one VERY important reason. Will Lightning's secret wish come true - and is it the same as Fang's? Starts in Pre-Fangrai, end game Fangrai (married with children as this will have three mentioned time skips). Features established Sebusai who are mentioned late in the tale and Cecil (FF IV, a mentioned pairing of Cecil/Rosa).
Their Secret Wish
Fang's doing her best to stay focused on the road while heading to Lightning's humble adobe (according to Little Farron, Fang's name for Serah), her car having nothing but the Oerban native's wardrobe and a few other things, including a small black box the brunette kept close to her possession. Although the two mates/friends are close, neither Fang nor Lightning have been able to confess their love for the other, with the exact reason varying each day according to everyone who knows them best. Upon finding out that Vanille moved in with Hope after announcing their sudden engagement alongside becoming first time parents, it was more than enough for Fang to get the confidence she needed to let the older Farron know how she really felt after so many years, and especially after first meeting in Palumpolum in the old world. One couldn't blame the brunette for waiting this long to just be with Lightning - according to some, Vanille played a big role in Fang being unable to move out of their old home and move in with Lightning until this point. Regarding how true that was for Fang and Vanille no one will ever know the real reason why this took as long as it did.
If there was one thing Fang doesn't have to worry about it's the dog and cat Lightning has in her home, as both Odin the dog and Bahamut the cat LOVE their Mama Snaggles aka Fang! Fang's relationship with Odin and Bahamut was mutual as she loved them just as much gives more reasons why Lightning and Fang are meant to be together. During the drive to Lightning's home, which was more than big enough for two people, a cat and a dog, Fang thinks of the three occupants - animals and human - in a fond manner, as she saw them as part of her family, that are worth protecting. Knowing that Lightning was running low on both dry cat food and dry dog food alongside their respective wet food and treats, the brunette saved space in her vehicle for said food so that they won't go hungry. It would be late at night when Fang finally reaches Lightning's house, complete with her belongings. Feeling like her usual self but also with content, the brunette wastes no time with getting her things into place, including a framed picture of just the two of them that would be set on top of the fireplace. Fang takes one more look at the small black box, which she thanks Lady Luck for a new mate/friend for this: Cecil Harvey.
It was a chance meeting with the head of Baron that led the brunette to a jeweler that Cecil's wife, Rosa, runs. The Harveys are among the most vocal supporters of marriage equality in the new world, and Rosa hooked Fang up with matching engagement/wedding band combos for the brunette to help win Lightning over. Cecil and Rosa's son Ceodore was a fan of Lightning's work with Louis Vuitton. It was late at night that the Oerban native finally arrives at Lightning's home, making sure that the small box was placed in one of her pockets while getting her other belongings into the house, which took a bit of time to do. The first thing Fang does is, oddly enough, get the food ready for Odin and Bahamut so they won't nag their human at the arse crack of dawn (Snow's exact description of the mornings Lightning is woken up by the duo so that they're fed and walked). Once done with that the brunette goes to the room where Lightning is sleeping, which doesn't take long for Fang to do. Upon arrival to Lightning's room - whose bed fits two humans on it - the sight before Fang was beyond adorable: Bahamut sleeping on top of the pinkette's head, with Lightning gently holding onto Odin, both asleep.
Fang pulls out of her pocket the small box she's held onto, and out came the engagement ring meant for Lightning. Fang already put on the one in her size, knowing the glow of the blood free diamonds would make anyone proud of her for standing up for something that meaningful to her. Lightning's left hand was in the open for the brunette to put a ring on it, for Lightning's ring was a bit smaller than Fang's. As the ring was being placed on the older Farron's finger, Fang couldn't stop smiling at her wife to be. Believe it or not it was the Harveys and the Villiers who have hinted to the Oerban native of the pinkette's feelings for her, with the brunette recalling how the backhand slap was the lightest amount of punishment Lightning gave between Fang, Hope, Sazh and Snow in the old world. Despite Vanille and Lightning rarely ever speaking to each other, the redhead has the utmost respect for the Farron sisters. A few moments pass by before Fang finally has the courage to join the pinkette in bed, knowing that Lightning will say that she will marry Fang when she wakes up in the morning. "Good night, my sunshine" was the only words Fang spoke before going to sleep with a smile on her face, placing Lightning's head to her left breast.
When morning comes, it's the start to a new life as the Yun-Farron family.

It's 9 in the morning - later than usual for Lightning to wake up but then again, it's Saturday morning, a day off the pinkette has from whatever freelancing work she has to do. The bed felt heavier than usual, and what made it more interesting was that neither Odin nor Bahamut were in bed with her, but another human was there instead. Upon seeing Fang's messy hair covering parts of her vision, Lightning was smiling with her eyes, knowing that Fang finally reciprocated Lightning's romantic feelings at long last. Upon seeing the ring on her own finger "I love you, Fang" was the only phrase Lightning was able to say before crying happy tears onto Fang's chest, knowing that they'll be together to the end, a promise the older Farron herself made to the brunette on Cocoon before fighting Orphan all those years ago. Moments later, Lightning kissed Fang on the lips, which is, very surprisingly to everyone who knows them, the first kiss for both lasses. What's even more surprising was that neither of them had other intimate partners beforehand, although the reason why that was is very understandable for both of them and those who know them the best.
It was several minutes later that Fang FINALLY woke up - Bahamut's loud meowing helped as it alerted them to the leashes hanging from Odin's mouth (one leash for Odin, the other for Bahamut) as they were due for their morning walk. Seeing Lightning's smiling face and eyes had Fang's heart soaring. The "it took you long enough, Snaggletooth" line had the brunette smiling back at her wife to be. "Good morning to you too, wifey" was all the Oerban native said which started their day on a great note. They wasted no time with getting the leashes on Odin and Bahamut so that they can have their morning walk as a more complete family. Odin and Bahamut chose to stay close to Fang throughout the walk as a means of getting to know her better, even though the brunette was the one who last fed them. The Oerban native allowed Odin and Bahamut to be themselves which made them, and Lightning too, extremely happy. With their first morning walk as a family done on a very positive note, it was a sign of great things to come for them.
Several weeks pass by before Lightning and Fang start their plans for a wedding. Cecil had begged them to officiate the ceremony for the duo, as the kindness Fang brought to the Harvey family was more than reason enough for him to want to return the favour. After agreeing to that which was immediate, the venue was the back yard of Lightning and Fang's home: it has more than enough space for both an outdoor ceremony and a reception if it was set up correctly. After a healthy debate on the matter, it was agreed that Sazh would walk Fang down the aisle, followed by Snow walking Lightning down the aisle ("you gave Serah and I your blessing to wed; when you walked Serah down the aisle that day she wanted me to walk you down the aisle to whoever you choose to wed... and I'm more than glad it's Fang you're marrying" Snow said to Lightning about the matter). Hope and Noel would be the Best Men, while Vanille and Serah are the Matrons of Honour - the remainder of the bridal party would be people they knew in the old world, which included Hope's mother Nora.
Amodar, Rygdea and Cid agreed to come as guests, with Cid hinting that Fang had the hots for Lightning since the slap. As for Bahamut and Odin, Odin was the Ring Bearer while Bahamut was the Flower Cat. Mind you, the planning was done as quick as Lightning's namesake, as the Fangrai pair blended ideas that would make their ceremony work for them. There were some disagreements and a bit of arguing on varying matters, but they worked it out as a team that's the only thing that really mattered to everyone in the end. Lightning even met Ceodore Harvey, Cecil and Rosa's son, as she gave them a signed photo from her time with Louis Vuitton. How a young lad was a fan of a grown female would seem odd to some, but Ceodore's reasoning made perfect sense: Ceodore saw Lightning's work as a way to help him find his own way to make a difference in the world in a positive way. Unorthodox? Yes, you can make bets with both Etro and Lady Luck with that. Effective? Yes, because Lightning used to be in the Guardian Corps for Etro's sake!
Then, the ceremony itself.

A few more months passes by, and then the Big Day shows up. According to both Cocoonian and Gran Pulsian customs in the old world, the soon to be married couple must not see each other the night before. Fang and Lightning had a HARD time dealing with this, although it was easier for Fang because Auntie Snaggles had fun with her nephew. For Lightning, she had Odin and Bahamut to herself, with Serah and Noel staying overnight to help Lightning with varying things. With ceremony prep, Vanille, Serah and the bridesmaids all helped Lightning look and feel like a billionaire despite the dress being way less than that in price, and oh so simple in design. To make things more interesting, the redhead had NO clue on what Fang's outfit looks like, making her just in the dark about it as both of the Farron sisters. With that being said, they had a great time in the matter at hand, which made Lightning feel SO much better about everything in the end of it all - even if Vanille has no clue on Fang's outfit!
Speaking of Fang, she was torn about wearing a suit like the Best Men and the groomsmen and wearing a dress like Lightning's, but it was Noel who reminded her about the ways of the Yun, who wore a specific sari when they got married. The sari in question covered up a decent deal of more skin than the saris Fang wore in the old world. "Who got this sari for me then..." Fang started to ask but was unable to finish her question as the brunette had no clue on how to finish it the way she wanted to. When Hope revealed that two invited guests, a younger couple who went by the names Seven and Sice, found the exact sari Fang needed and had it sent to them via the slender lad who's now happily married to Vanille ("Please make sure Fang gets this. If it weren't for her helping us at the grocery store a while back, we wouldn't be here" was all Seven, the taller lass with silver hair and violet eyes, said to Hope as they gave him the exact sari Fang needed to say I Do). Without further delay, Fang went with the sari that she was gifted, knowing that the Sebusai pair honoured the Yun ways.
To get to the point about the ceremony, the 'dress' Lightning wore was the exact same type of sari Fang wore. It was agreed upon that the ceremony itself combined both cultures and the customs were very creative, which their parents would more than approve of if they were here in the new world with them today. The Fangrai pair couldn't stop smiling at each other as Cecil officiated their ceremony. Laughter was released, vows exchanged, tears shed tied to a barking Odin and a meowing Bahamut made this day more than special for Fang and Lightning. Upon exchanging the matching wedding bands, the only thing Lightning and Fang could see in each other's eyes was a bright, happy future for them both. When Cecil pronounced them as wives, the kiss they exchanged was fully of love and sincerity. The fact that Fang planted a kiss on Lightning's forehead was, perhaps, the best thing about the ceremony. Keeping things on the reception as to the point as possible, it was the best time for everyone. Seven and Sice's wedding gift to the pair was one for the record books.
Two years later, Lightning would give birth to their daughter Luna Yun-Farron, named after Fang's mother in the old world. Luna would have an equal blend of the pair's looks and personality although Fang's traits would be a bit more dominant. Three years after Luna's birth, Fang would give birth to their son, Jason Yun-Farron, named after Lightning's father. Jason may have Fang's hair colour but has more of Lightning's traits. Being the big sister, Luna was and still is VERY protective of her younger brother. Odin and Bahamut would protect their fellow humans, with Odin being attached to Luna's hip and Bahamut sleep with Jason. Fang and Lightning became more than just proud of themselves for finally having a complete family, and a home filled with more love than they would ever think possible in any of their lifetimes. One day in the far future, the stories about Lightning and Fang Yun-Farron would be told to just about every being in the new world, and how their contributions to the state of the new world came to be a reality for all to live in.
Fang and Lightning made a secret wish in the old world to be together and start a family. Granted, it took them a VERY long time to do so, it took them to being in the new world to make that wish finally come true, and everything coming along with it.
What they needed was a little bit of faith.

A/N #2: There is a quick note coming up, which I should have posted in a few days that will help explain the next several stories (about 8-10 to be exact), with the only thing I can say about them is they'll be more than one take on the same topic, with some NSFW in the mix.
