The Heroic God Slayer
Chapter 6
So this will be a bit of an exposition chapter. Given I've introduce the oldest Campione so much I have to add him in and give Izuku a lesson in how Campione do things. I'll also get into the lead up and history I've built into this story and characters. So on with the show.
(No POV)
As the students were trying to enter UA, they were constantly being hounded by the press. Asking about All Might and what he was like as a teacher. While most like Izuku were put off by the reporters, some took it in stride like Ida. Who went on a silly spiel about what he felt All Might seemed to show as a teacher at UA. But he then realized that he could be late for class and quickly zoomed off.
Aizawa was waiting at the entrance and told each of the students to hurry to their classes. "Hey could you comment on what All Might is like as a teacher? Also, you look kinda scruffy. Are you a janitor here?" One female reporter asks Aizawa. Said scruffy hero just lets out an annoyed sigh before saying, "All Might is off for the day. You won't get an interview with him. And frankly I have more important things to deal with. As he said that, the reporter ran toward the gate. And the UA barrier activated.
One of the more important things that Aizawa had to deal with, was for his class to choose a class president. Ida put forth the idea of voting for the leader as it could be the fairest solution. When the votes were tallied, Izuku had come out with five votes. And the vice that was chose was Ida. While Ida had wanted the position of president, he respected the outcome of the election.
At lunch he explained who he had voted for. "I voted for you Midoriya partially due to the inspiring way you handle your power. You try to limit yourself so not to hurt others. And you also can lead, analyze, and strategize so well you will be a great pro one day." Izuku smiles before admitting he saw those qualities in Ida as well. "You were able to come up with a plan relatively quickly while making the most of yours and Shoji's quirks. You even threw off your opponents long enough to give Shoji a chance to defeat the enemy. It's why I voted for you."
Ida was stunned by the revelation, and Shoji later mentioned that he had also voted for Ida. "You took charge and knew just how to direct what we could do against Asui and her partner. That alone showed me what kind of leader and person you are." Upon hearing Shoji's statement, Ida quickly jumped up and bowed to his partner from the battle trials. "I will do my utmost to support you as the vice president Midoriya!" Ida says with a stiff salute, while Izuku was uncomfortably laughing. Until he sensed something.
Then the alarm goes off in the cafeteria, and the students start panicking. Izuku and Ida take charge with their classmates and get them away from the rampaging mass of students trying to evacuate. Izuku then tosses Ida up to the wall so he could tell them to calm down. "We may not know what is going on, but that is no reason to behave so erratically! We are students of UA! We have to set a standard for all!"
Upon saying this, most of the students calm down. The next announcement though worries a few people. "Midoriya Izuku. Please come to the front entrance." The statement is made through the intercom, so most don't know what to think. Though quite a few are happy the alarms have stopped. Izuku is uneasy at hearing that announcement, but he heads to the entrance anyway. Xeimei of course comes along with her king but a few others follow behind him. Namely the entirety of class 1-A, with Reiko, Kendo Itsuka the class president of 1-B, and her vice president Shoda Nirengeki.
When they arrive, all of the students are terrified by the sight in front of the school building. Izuku though is focused on one point. Standing in front of the school is a man with black jeans and brown boots on his lower half. On his torso is a flannel looking shirt with a jean jacket over it. His skin is a reddish tan with piercing hazel eyes, and atop his brown hair is a leather cowboy hat. "Master Jonathan," Xeimei says with her a shiver. The man smirks before saying to Izuku, "about time boy. You and I need to have a talk."
(Nezu POV, just before the alarm)
I'm not sure what to think about what little the devices I had in my office picked up. I'm certain that agent (Amakasu was it?) disabled them in some way. But they still managed to pick up some the discussion. Namely the fact that she was asking young Midoriya to look into the murders that were happening in Okayama. "But why the boy? I've looked into his past, he didn't seem to have anything that stood out. At least before applying here. I did note that All Might had failed to save his friend over a year ago, but that could have made him less likely to want to apply here."
Oh dear. I'm thinking out loud again. Well, no one else is around at least. But something else has me worried. One other part that I gleamed from the recordings was that there are more like him, and they are hoping to get away from one individual in particular. Who could this person be?
What? The alarms!? When I check the security monitors, I see that there is a single person in a cowboy hat walking towards the main building. The rest of the faculty should be gathering so I hopefully just have to make an appearance and they'll have it handled.
When I arrive, it is clear that the man is not taking no for an answer. Though all he is demanding is to speak with Midoriya. Though he is quite rude about it. "If you wish to speak with a student, I could set up an appointment. But I need to not only know what your relationship is, but what it is you want to speak with him about," I tell the man. He just looks more annoyed before saying, "my business with the boy is my own. Now I suggest you get him out here. Before you all could end up six feet in the ground."
That is enough for me to know I will not be letting my students near this man. I nod to Aizawa who goes in first while canceling his quirk. This should stop him….
(five minutes later)
This is insane! What kind of power?! Is he like All For One?! "I said it before. Call the kid and get him out here while I still feel like being nice." I don't have a choice. I've called All Might but it will still be a little while before he returns. Hopefully Midoriya can stall this villain long enough for him to get here.
(No POV Mustafa Airport just as the school day was starting)
"Man it has been a long time since I was on an airplane! The food wasn't too bad compared to what I remember," Samson Jonathan Fredrickson says while stretching out his back. Next to him though is one of his liaisons with the Ancestral Lands Historic Society. This was a mage association that he had set up not long after his awakening as a Campione. He brought together the traditional mystics and shamans of the southwestern US and helped them stay connected.
His liason's name was Sam Chayton Etcitty. He was a young Navajo man with long black hair with a single streak of white hair along the left side of his face. He wore traditional jewelry of turquoise and silver around his neck and right wrist. Each was used for the magic he commanded. He wore a more business-like attire compared to the king he was escorting. "I'm still a little confused as to why you wanted to take an airplane ride when you can fly and teleport yourself," Sam said as they were passing through customs.
The first Campione shrugged and said, "I just got back from another realm. I didn't feel like teleporting and wanted to sleep a bit. But I also wanted to get here as fast as possible and not forget about what I had in mind." Sam just rolls his eyes as they walk out of the airport. He called a taxi so the two could meet with the CCTH. Jonathan shakes his head before saying he will head to UA and meet with the newest king. And see what the so-called heroes there can. Sam just lets out an annoyed sigh before saying, "fine. I guess I'll handle things with the committee."
"Hey wait. There was one other reason I especially wanted you to come along… I would like to spend a little more time with you son," Jonathan says with a light smile to Sam. Said liaison is surprised by that, and sighs again before saying, "I know I can't stop you but….. please don't go too nuts gramps. Okay?" Jonathan smiles before telling him he will hold back. "But not too much."
He then teleports away to get close to UA. He is about to walk in through the front gate when he notices something that has him concerned. A strange person in all black is walking along the wall and muttering to himself. The old Campione focuses his magic to his ears and can make out some of what the young man is saying. "Once I make this wall crumble, I'll the information I need to end this age of heroes. And I'll drag everyone down to where I am!" "Don't bet on that boy." Samson says while walking up to the blue haired young man.
The strange young man turns with an annoyed look and eyes the first Campione up and down. "Some damn American who thinks he knows what it means to be a hero. He back to the wilds you damn gaijin. Or I'll reduce you to dust!" the young man says with a grimace. Jonathan just smirks before saying, "I'd love to see you try brat." Then the young man rushes at the Campione faster than most can see.
But to the Campione, he sees it in slow motion. 'His power is probably in his hands. That's why he's trying to swipe that way. Well, that makes it easy to beat," Jonathan thinks to himself. As the blue haired young man gets close, he tries to grab the Campione with his hands and activate his quirk. But Jonathan knocks both hands away with his right, while the left is still in his pocket. And then he backhands the villainous young man across the face so hard into an alley, he flies through two walls.
"Idiot. I'm guessing the other I am sensing is his guardian or something?" Jonathan says while turning back slightly. Out of nowhere, a black mist appears with an unsettled look on their face. "Indeed I am. And who are you?" the misty figure asks. Jonathan just smirks before saying, "guess that brat is still playing with something that shouldn't exist. You don't tell your "master" my name. He'll remember if you deliver a couple of messages." While the misty entity is unnerved by this strange person he nods and asks for the messages.
"First ask how that wound I left him over 200 years ago feels. Second, tell him he's always going to be a fake. And now he'll have to deal with a true demon lord being here at all times. And he'll be nothing more than a low-level demon." With his messages given, Jonathan walks off to teleport into the UA grounds.
Once he does he hears the alarms going off and can already tell that the heroes inside will be coming to stop him. When he reaches the front entrance there are ten members of the faculty standing at the front door.
"May we help you?" Principal Nezu asks while standing next to Aizawa. "I certainly hope so. I need to see Izuku Midoriya. Or I guess it would be Midoriya Izuku here. I've got business with the boy, so get him out here," Jonathan says with a determined look. And a slight look of disdain for the people gathered.
When Nezu tries to be diplomatic about the matter, the first Campione of the current age just gets more annoyed and demands that Izuku be brought out immediately. Nezu then nods to Aizawa who activates his quirk and rushes at the cowboy hat wearing man. He throws his capture scarf out to wrap up Jonathan. Confident that the man's quirk has been disabled. But he isn't ready for what happens next.
Jonathan catches the scarf with his arm, and yanks Aizawa toward him. Once the hero is close he punches the man in the face to send him backwards. He repeats this twice more, before using the scarf to slam the Erasure hero on the ground a few times. He then yanks Aizawa back to him again before pummeling the man with blow after blow. And finishing the attack with a slam into the ground that leaves a crater.
Present Mic was in shock at all of this but eventually snapped out of it enough to try and use his quirk to stop the villain in their eyes. Right as he is about to scream, Jonathan's eyes flick to the man. He then makes a quick movement; a lightning bolt seems to shoot out of him and blast Mic's speaker. It not only electrocutes the Voice hero but makes the speaker explode knocking the man out.
Vlad and Cementoss try to step in and slow the villain as well, but Jonathan counters both of them. He break through or seemingly slices through the barriers and bindings they try to create, before doing a similar motion to the one before. But instead of lightning, this time both are set on fire. Ectoplasm creates a few clones to try and put them out with Midnight backing him up.
Snipe and Power Loader each try to attack, but once again the are easily defeated. When Snipe shot at the man, he lifted his left arm up and what seemed to be a shield broke apart and stopped each of his bullets. And when Power Loader tried to use his mech, the thing was not only smacked around by the shield, but Jonathan drew a sword from his back and cut the machine apart. And then stabbed the blade into Power Loader's hand and leg.
When Snipe tried to aid his colleague, Jonathan returned the weapon behind his back and unleashed another weapon. This one appearing to be like a whip, that struck away the marksman hero's weapons. And then he was dragged towards the Campione. Said man puts a fist next to Snipe's stomach and unleashes a blast that seemed akin to a shotgun blast. This sends Snipe flying and he raises up his right arm and the whip wraps around it. He then starts blasting Snipe in mid-air, before catching him with two whips and slamming the man into the ground.
"Enough of this!" Midnight exclaims, angry that her colleagues and former underclassmen had been hurt so badly. She rips off part of her suit to send out the mist of her quirk. Ectoplasm has his clones hold their breath while trying to attack the man. Midnight attacks as well, confident that the man should be feeling drowsy. But she hadn't noticed that the man had covered his face and was still having no trouble defeating most of the clones.
She lashes out with her whip before saying the fight will be over soon. "Yes, but not the way you think it will," Jonathan says after countering another attack from the female hero. He then swipes his hand to the side and a massive windstorm is kicked up. It not only dissipates Midnight's quirk but sends her and clones slamming into each other. Six of them get kicked right at Ectoplasm and knock him out.
Jonathan then uses his whip to capture Midnight and slam her into the ground twice before dragging her back to him and battering her around again and again. With one last slamming of her face into the ground, he finishes the fight. He still has his whip around Midnight's neck and is pulling her up with it. All the while standing with a boot on her back at her center of gravity.
"Call him here. NOW!" Jonathan demands of Nezu. The rodent hybrid gulps before capitulating. When Izuku arrives with his class, they are terrified at what they see. All of the teachers have been badly beaten. And whoever this villain is has a hostage of Midnight. "About time boy. We need to have a talk," Jonathan says. Nezu quietly signals to Izuku that All Might is on his way he just needs to stall.
Izuku takes a deep breath before stepping forward. "I heard Xeimei mention your name. You are Samson Fredrickson, right?" Jonathan smiles a bit before saying, "I prefer my middle name, Jonathan more. Besides it is probably easier to say in Japanese, isn't it?" Izuku chuckles before saying, "a bit yes. Do you mind maybe letting Midnight go? Where you are standing can't be that comfortable."
Jonathan looks down at Midnight with a smirk before saying, "no. I'm good. I quite like where I'm standing right now. And I'm not an idiot boy. You want to remove the hostage, so you could attack or similar. And I also know you are stalling." When he says this all of the heroes who are still conscious panic, while Midnight is still trying to escape. But she will admit she does feel a bit of arousal at the look the villainous man is giving her.
Out of nowhere though, a boom can be heard, and a shout is let out behind Jonathan. "DETROIT! SMAAASSHHH!" All Might shouts as he lets out the strongest hit, he can muster against the Campione. The impact sends shockwaves and dirt all around the campus. When the dust clears though, Jonathan has barely moved.
Right as All Might was about to punch the Campione, Jonathan reached back with his left hand and a shield popped up. A few more mythic minded students noted that the shield looked like the Yata no Kagami. "Not a bad hit. But it's not enough," Jonathan says before sending All Might straight up into the air. And then he snaps his fingers
Right as he does All Might seems to disappear out of existence. Leaving UA at the mercy of this strange invader. "Now then… we need to talk. Campione to Campione. God slayer to god slayer….. hm, king to king." Jonathan says while tightening his hold on the whip around Midnight's throat. The rest all look to Izuku in confusion. Who in turn just sighs before saying, "alright. Let's talk."
I apologize to anyone who may be reading this who is of Navajo descent, but I wanted to include this kind of character since they are rare other than for trope settings in manga. Also I wanted to show just how powerful my OC Campione is and what he can do against the hero teachers and others. Please review.
