Chapter 7 New Titles.

As Sasuke walked away from Sakura's house,after making the Kage Bushin to go see the Hokage, he stopped at a small stand.
Sakura had the idea about the tattoo's. He felt that he should also contribute to the team. Sasuke looked at the stands on the street and could'nt find what he was looking for. He vaguely remembered his father metioning a shop that sold the item he was looking for, "of excellent quaility." His father had remarked. Thinking back to those times used to send Sasuke into a near rage. Now...
Now it was just painfull. So he took to the rooftops to find this shop he was looking for...

Ah there it was. The shop his father had metioned. Looking pristnely kept. " Hi no Hoseki" His father had apparently bought jewelry for his mother here. He walked in the store, taking a long look at the display case's he saw that all items on display were of Immense qaulity. Yes this place would do nicely. His Kage bushin dispelled itself, it's memories recieved. He now knew where Kakashi-sensei lived. A woman stood behind the counter. "May I help you, young Sir?" She asked politely. It did help that Sasuke's mind also noted she was beautiful. Damn puberty. "Yes, I'd like to place an order. I must know if you have any Sapphire, Ruby,Fulgurite, Osidian,and Topaz?" He asked, the idea of what he wanted clearly forming in his mind. " Well that depends on the size of what you need the gems for, but yes, I do." She replied looking more interested now. " Good. Here's what I need done.."

Naruto was walking to Ichiraku's, to get his daily ramen fix. He was almost there when a stray thought crossed his mind. The after-action report from two weeks ago. He rememberd that day. He'd never forget that fateful day.

*Flash Back Two Weeks*

"First off let me start by saying that I'm glad that the three of you are un-harmed," the Hokage stated before continuing on "But I need to be filled in, what happend before the Kage Bushin found your two Sensei. Let me be clear. You are not in any trouble. Anyone who say's differntly is wrong and I'll personally handle them. Now please fill me in as to what happend." Hiruzen finished, feeling older than he had in long time. Standing in the Hokage's office was Team Seven. Naruto took a slight step forward and without embellishment told the Hokage what had gone down. Hiruzen looked at his surrogate grandson and sighed."Anbu, leave." The ever present guard was gone without so much as a whisper of noise. Hiruzen looked at the three Genin and cleared his throat. " Stand at attention." He orderd lightly. The Hokage stood and came from behind his desk. Hiruzen stood in front of Team Seven. He nodded to the two Jounin. Hiro grinned and nodded back. " Haruno Sakura!
Stand Forth!" He commanded. She was front and center not a second later. Hiruzen smiled at the sole Kunoichi in the room. " Sakura, nine months ago you stood in front of me ill prepared for the life of a ninja. Today, that has changed. You have fought the enemies of Konoha and have been found to be made of steel. For your growing mastery of Genjutsu,your tatics on the field of battle,your skills in Tai-and- Ninjutsu,and your powerful dedication to your team. You are hereby promoted to the rank of Chunin. Continue to make Konoha proud that you call it home.

Kakashi handed Sakura a flak vest that had been tailor made for her. It was black with red accents, had more pockets on the inside and from what Sakura could tell was a good deal lighter. Sakura felt like she was going float away. She was definetly smiling. Hiro pulled her back into the line with Naruto and Sasuke. She was buzzing on the promotion. Understandably so. The aged Hokage looked at Naruto next.
"Uzumaki Naruto! Stand Forth!" Hiruzen happily commmanded. Naruto materialized in front of him. The Hokage continued, " Naruto, You have not always thought like a ninja should. I'm happy to say that you've grown. The enemies of Konoha have met you and have found you unfliching and to have a fierce will. For you growing mastery of Fuuton ninjutsu,your tatics on the field of battle, your skills in Tai-and-Fuinjutsu and your unflinching defense of your team you are hereby promoted to the rank of Chunin. Strive towards your dream for you're a step closer."

Hiro handed Naruto a flak vest that like Sakura's had been made to order. His was a dark red with orange accents. It was heavier than the standard flak vest and upon looking inside Seals could be seen. Naruto was putting in on with fervor. He could'nt have stopped the face spliting warm smile that graced his feature even if he had wanted to. Kakashi pulled Naruto back into line with Sasuke and Sakura. Naruto looked like he'd fly to the moon.
Hiruzen turned his eyes to Sasuke. "Uchiha Sasuke! Stand Forth!" He commanded with a small grin. Sasuke stepped forward. " Sasuke, nine months ago you were a boy driven by naught but revenge. I know one day you will bring your clan justice, I am glad to say you have grown lighter. The enemies of Konoha have met you and have learned once more why the name 'Uchiha' was respected and feared. For your growing mastery of Raiton ninjutsu, your tatics on the field of battle,your growing mastery of your Sharingan and your skills in Tai-and Genjutsu. You stalwart defense of your team you are hereby promoted to the rank of Chunin. Continue to make yourself and Konoha proud." Hiro handed Sasuke a flak vest that like the other two handed out was modified.
Sasuke's vest was dark blue in color with blood red accents,it was of the standard weight but had more pockets.

"You three have made me and Konoha proud. Now go home and rest. For two weeks you are on adminstrative leave, its policy that after a battle of such magnitude that you take a rest period. Village phycologist's will stop in to talk to you. Also if you must train please keep it light. Thank you for your time today." Hiruzen dismissed them politely. After the newly minted Chunin left, Hiruzen sighed. He now had a much clearer picture of what had happend and it was making him regret re-taking the position of Hokage. "Sir?" Kakashi intoned respectfully. Hiruzen looked at the two Jounin. He motioned to the chairs and couch. The two younger ninja grabbed the chairs and brought them in front of the couch. The old Sarutobi sat on the couch letting his old bones rest. " A few Iwa-nin escaped. They will tell Onoki of what happend. I can only imagine the political shitstorm this is going to bring. Danzo had Anbu count the bodies.
Eight hundred and twenty five. This is,of course,accounting for the ninja that were most likely completely obliterated. Which we estimate to be around another thiry or so. From what Anbu could tell your team killed damn near seventy of that number. Naruto alone accounts for more than forty. You two are going to have step up thier training. Give me a moment." Hiruzen flared his chakra and his Anbu reappeared. " Neko go fetch us some sake please." he orderd almost softly.

Hiruzen took his pipe from his desk,finding the small pouch of tobacco in his robes he took a pinch and filled the bowl of the pipe with it. Lighting the pipe with a small bit of fire-natured chakra he took a small returned as he exhaled the smoke. Hiro took out his cigarettes and looked at Hiruzen for approval. The Hokage nodded. " In the coming weeks all Jounin are going to be on more border patrol and recon missions,now your team is going to be pivotal in the coming conflict." The Hokage stated.

*Flash back over*
Naruto took out the Bingo Book that Kakashi-Sensei had given him. He turned the page to his own entry.
'Uzumaki Naruto. Age: 13. Rank Genin' that would be updated soon' Alias:"Takashiro Kitsune. Chakra type:Wind.
'Uzumaki Naruto has skill far above his rank,he has been seen using Fuuton and Katon ninjutsu. Being that one of his teachers is Hiro Uzumaki (page 144) it is assumed that he has atleast some Fuinjutsu knowledge. His Nin-Taijutsu is at High Chunin to low Jounin. Be warned Uzumaki Naruto is also the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi no Yoko. Danger Rank:A. Bounty set at Five Million Ryo. If he is with the rest of his Team,his Danger Rank increase's . Notable Teammates:Sasuke Uchiha(page 160) and Sakura Haruno(page 130)
Hiro Uzumaki(page 144) And Kakashi Hatake (Page 166). Do not approach without a team of seasoned Chunin or above ninja.

Sasuke made himself known in Ichiraku's by clearing his throat. "Be at the Golden Dragon's Hearth at seven thirty. Or I'll send Sakura to come get you."
