The Heroic God Slayer

Chapter 9

I was stuck for a bit on how best to continue this story, but now I know the way to finish the fight and set up the authority. This will be the second half of the fight against the first Campione and his Kukulkan authority. So on with the show.

(No POV)

"Well brother. It seems its time for round two." Izuku said with a swish of his katana. The dragon of winds flaps his wings a few times and looks between his two opponents. Noticing the glow that appears to be emanating from the katana, as well as Izuku's eyes. He then looks over Xeimei with a critical eye.

She held her jian in her right hand and had a naginata on her back. Her black hair had gained a pair of black Akita ears on top, with a black tail coming from her behind. She had armor on that seemed to be a mix of priestess garb and a warrior's. With tight red hakama pants with the sides by her hips open (and showing a fundoshi like garb underneath) and tabi sandals. And for her top, the armor covered most of her upper body with black and green cloth (though it did bare her midriff but) she also had solid pauldrons on her shoulders and armguards. On her face are some markings under her eyes, and she appears to have sharp fangs in her smile.

With a disturbing smile on his serpentine face, Jonathan let out a laugh. "HA HA HA HA! So you finally figured out how to use what you took from Momotaro!? Well then, let us see how well the two of you can use it!" And with that he lets out a roar before blasting down a windstorm with his wings. With a quick look to Xeimei, the two leap off of the buildings they had been standing on.

Xeimei comes in first, using her magic and the new power Izuku had granted her. "I hope you are ready!" she shouts before slashing the dragon form across his stomach with both of her weapons. Once she passes a burst of blood comes from his stomach in an X pattern. Jonathan then whips around and tries to strike the Taoist mage with his tail.

But Izuku is there and stops the attack with all his strength. He then tries to slam the dragon into the buildings, then the ground. While he does smash incarnate form through a building, Jonathan rights himself with his wind and uses it to throw Izuku off. But as he is doing that, Xeimei attacks again. This time from behind and cuts the form once more.

"What is going on here!?" a few of the spectators from UA shout as they continue to watch the fight between the two Campione and now one dog girl mage. Etcitty huhs, before saying, "it must be a subordinate god empowerment ability. Lord Midoriya basically accepted and turned miss Sun into a being near to that of a Campione. Letting her fight almost on par with the two of them."

A few people just look at the Navajo man with flat looks before saying, "how are you so calm about all of this?" Namely Aizawa, Midnight, Vlad King and Present Mic. Etcitty just shrugs before saying, "when you are a liaison for a Campione you get used to seeing crazy stuff. I'm surprised you are all surprised. After all, aren't the mutations and sickness gained from quirks weird as well?" At hearing the man call quirks a sickness, quite a few of the spectators winced. With some of the older heroes commenting that it was at least semi explained by science.

Back with the fight, Izuku had gotten a few cuts himself against Jonathan and now the feathered serpent was bleeding from a few places. But both he and Xeimei were breathing a bit heavily. Izuku looked to his knight before thinking, 'she's practically spent. Even with the boosts that came with the dog transformation.' 'That doesn't mean I'm ready to quit my king.'

At hearing that in his head, Izuku was surprised. He turned back to her and put together why he could do that. 'Its probably due to the fact that it's my first time using this. Normally I doubt there would be much problem, but we jumped straight into a fight, and I haven't fully acclimated yet.' Xeimei thinks quickly while dodging another attack. Izuku sighs before thinking, 'we need one big hit to finish this! It's subtle but he's regenerating from our attacks earlier. Meaning it won't take long before he's back to full.'

Xeimei agrees, and notes that they need to counter his affinity and origin. She then lifts up a few boulders and smashes them into Jonathan's head while Izuku punches downward into the faux sewer. After Jonathan recovers from the hit, Izuku and Xeimei slip away.

While they catch their breath, Xemei says to Izuku, "I think you'll need all of this information this time. Sorry I didn't transfer it earlier." She then kisses Izuku and transfers all of the knowledge she can about Kukulkan to Izuku. Who after seeing all of it, can plot a path to defeat the incarnate form. And then his wings sprout from his back and his glaive gains a new glow.

He then bursts out of the sewer and flies at his enemy. Brandishing both weapons instead of just one at a time. "Your essence is of land and sky. Kukulkan was the deity of the skies who brought forth the bounties of the land. And who demanded sacrifices of blood for his favor and guided those who would fight for his glory. And grant visions to those he deemed worthy." Izuku said before flying toward his opponent.

They clashed a few times and even though he managed to cut the form and sever some of the divinity, Jonathan was still strong. So Izuku continued. "He was also known as Quetzalcoatl, a god of agriculture and light. Embodying the sun and the celestial passage of time." They struck each other again, and Izuku sent the feathered serpent toward the ground. Just close enough for Xeimei to grab him.

She planted her feet and spun once before slamming the beast into a building. "But even those gods fall. Due to your symbolism of the land and the beast you appear to be, you were felled by the steel of the Europeans and blades they brought." Jonathan laughed again before saying, "indeed! But even though you know all of that, can you truly defeat me!?"

Izuku flew closer to the ground with his eyes closed. Xeimei jumped down next to her kings with both blades in hand. Izuku opened his eyes, and with a flash of green in them he roared, "I WILL!" And then the two rushed forward at the highest speed they could. Jonathan uncurled from the building and flew toward them, charging up a spirit wind blast from his mouth.

Those who had been spectating covered their eyes. Except for five. Etcitty, watching over the new king and his great grandfather. Nezu who was more and more interested in the battle he is seeing. Ochaco, Mina and Reiko who were all hoping that Izuku would be safe and be able to stop the monster that was Master Jonathan. While Momo was just praying for his safety.

As Jonathan let out a powerful blast of spirit wind, Xeimei and Izuku barely dodged the blast and struck as fast as they could. Izuku severing two of the serpent's wings, and Xeimei cutting a few more times along Jonathan's side. The blast from the spirit wind still blew the two back, while Jonathan lost control and crashed through another building.

Izuku was laying on his back after the attack, while Xeimei was on her stomach. And both were catching their breath after that last gambit. Izuku then started laughing, with Xeimei chuckling as well. "Ha ha ha…. Oh man. I'm glad that worked." Izuku said while sitting up. Xeimei also started to get up, but she also decided to stretch a bit like a dog on all fours. "Uh I know the power I gifted you was from the dog….. but I didn't think it would make you that dog like."

At hearing Izuku say that Xeimei stopped and looked back at herself. And the fact that she basically had her but up in the air in a full downward dog like stance. With her backside somewhat on display. She blushed brightly before trying to cover up. While back with the audience, most everyone was celebrating that Izuku seemed to have defeated Jonathan. And they were all cheering. Though when Izuku brought up his point about Xeimei's new state, they stopped. And a few of the pervs from both classes (boys and girls) were scrambling to get a better look at the Chinese beauty's backside.

Etcitty though was having none of that and quickly pulled the viewing orbs away so they couldn't. When the five pervs complained, the mage chanted a bit and suddenly a pack of spiritual wolves appeared. They rushed the group, one grabbing Mineta by both his head and butt, another grabbing both of Kaminari's arms and dragging him away. Three had Tsubarabara by the legs and were dragging him away, and Awase had a larger wolf sitting on his back. Setsuna though had tried to use her quirk to escape. Only to be set upon by a mix of hawks, eagles, and falcons. And Kinko passed out after the wolves jumped on her and started snarling.

"I see the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree." Midnight said to the mage after witnessing his attack on the students. The man just shrugged before asking the group if they would behave. While one couldn't answer the rest started panicked exclamations of "yes". With that, Etcitty dismissed the entities he summoned. He then took a breath and said, "you and the new king shouldn't think the fight is over." At hearing that, they all stopped and turned back to the orbs viewing where Jonathan had landed.

Izuku and Xeimei had started to stand, though the latter was playfully smacking him for making the comment earlier. Just as they had both stood up, the heard a rumbling from the building where Jonathan had crashed through. A few more tremors and then the side of the building exploded outward. And walking from the rubble was Jonathan.

Though walking is a bit generous. He was limping a bit as he walked out of the destroyed skyscraper and had multiple pieces of rebar sticking out of his body. And he was missing an arm. With a few coughs and spitting out a bit of blood, he suddenly smiled. "HA HAH AHAH! Well done! You managed to beat one of my strongest authorities. But don't think this is over boy!" Jonathan said with a feral grin.

At hearing the man say that most of the audience thought he had gone crazy from blood loss and the impact. "He's kidding right? What can he do in the state he's in now? Should we call a medivac? I don't like that look in his eye!" are a few of the things said while watching the oldest Campione's newest arrival. Nezu though is practically vibrating in his spot for two reasons. One he's excited to see what this old warrior could break out next. And two, he's a bit worried for his student, not to mention the paying for all of the buildings to be rebuilt.

With the Campione though, Izuku knows that Jonathan isn't bluffing. "The magic coming off him is intense. I'm not sure what he's going to do next, but it has me worried." Izuku says while drawing his weapons again. Xeimei follows his lead and draws her weapons. With his remaining arm, Jonathan starts pulling the rebar and other pieces that are sticking out of his body out. Then with one more cough after pulling out a piece that had pierced his lung, he started glowing.

All of the sudden, his wounds started to heal. Even regrowing his missing arm and restoring the damage to the rest of his body. Once it was done, Izuku was shocked and scared for what could come next. The audience was flummoxed as well, and a few passed out seeing the monster that was Samson Jonathan Fredrickson be completely restored. "Well now, I'm surprised he used that authority he took from Asclepius. But given the situation I guess he didn't have a choice." Etcitty said with a stroke of his chin and a nod.

Nezu then says, "ah that explains it. Given it was from a medicine god I guess it grants divine healing. But what is the catch with it?" Etcitty smiles a bit before explaining that it was normally passive and just doubled Jonathan's Campione recovery speed. "But it does have a super activation you might call it. In exchange for not being able to use the passive benefit for a month, he can super charge it to quickly recover any lost parts or injuries for about an hour."

At hearing that, everyone of the students were worried again for what Izuku would have to face next. Izuku himself was shocked at Jonathan's quick recovery. Xeimei was shaking her head trying to make sense of what she saw. "Well, that's bad," she said before gulping and taking her stance again. Izuku does the same, but then Jonathan disappears.

"Well done. You've figured out how to use your new authority and how to better handle immense threats. But word of advice…." Jonathan says behind Izuku and Xeimei. With a sword at both of their necks and other bindings holding them in place. They both have panicked looks on their faces and are sure that he is going to cut them down. The man smiles at both of them before saying, "don't give your enemy a chance to recover."

He then takes his blades from their necks and then proceeds to smack them both on top of the head. The two wince and are freed from Jonathan's bindings. The fourth and his knight both collapse and try to catch their breath after feeling like they were about to take their last. Jonathan sheathes his swords and puts a hand on both of their shoulders and teleports them back to the rest.

Though only he lands gracefully. "Ah! You couldn't have warned us?" Izuku asks while Xeimei whines like a puppy next to him. Which just makes most of the girls aww at how cute she sounded. While some of the guys and pervs are taking note of her new appearance. And the fact that it seemed to have enhanced a few of her assets.

"Well, if nothing else you managed to push me to use one of my riskier authorities. But you might want to make sure that if you're fighting something like my incarnate form again, you take the fight outside of the city." Jonathan says before looking back to the faux city. Izuku does as well and sees the damage their battle had caused. And he can just imagine the sirens ringing, and people crying out. Just because he underestimated his opponent and wasn't willing to use everything.

Izuku looks down before saying, "I understand. I knew that might be a lesson for us here with the hero course. But when it comes to we Campione…. We are on a whole different and extreme level." Jonathan nods, while next to both of them Xeimei also looks ashamed. She had contributed to the damage as well and felt the same sting and regret at the damage she helped cause.

Jonathan then pats Izuku on the back and tells him he passed the test. "For now, at least. You put up a good fight and you were finally willing to use everything you had. A few more rogue gods defeated, and you'll be fine. Well. Class dismissed." Etcitty rolled his eyes before smiling at the Campione. With that Izuku's second lesson as a Campione was finished. "If he's going to keep coming around for a while…. Oh the repair bills!" Nezu said while facepalming.

For Izuku though, he sees what the old Campione was getting at. And knows he can't underestimate his opponents. Especially when it comes to rogue gods, and his fellow Campione. While they are all walking back Jonathan decides to give Izuku something of a reward for the victory. "I'll tell you what our two sisters' main authorities and their archetypes are. Because they may come seeking a fight as well." Izuku nods before thanking Jonathan.

He first describes Owasu's authorities being based around the archetype of "manipulator and trapper". And that her favorite authority was from the spider god Anansi. "It gives her not just intrinsic knowledge of her domain, but she can cast illusions with the webs she spins. She's not big on fighting head on usually. And she's definitely more of a strategist. Me? I've got a bad habit of over relying on some of my most dangerous authorities, and I'm more of a tactician. It's why I could turn her traps against her." Izuku nods and thinks about the fact that he would have to out strategize her. And come up with tactics on the fly.

"The second Campione is Duchess Marcia Serafim. Her archetype is… well I'd guess you'd call it "performer" or "dancer" in a sense….. She loves to show off and play around. Heck the only reason she slayed her first rogue god was because it was getting in the way of the Carnival celebrations." Jonathan explained. He then told Izuku that her favorite authorities were from two Christian symbols. The first being a rogue version of St. Sebastian, which granted her extreme athleticism and insane endurance. As well as summoning a rain of javelins wherever she chooses. "The second was from the fallen angel Kokabiel. The two were working together at the time and she gained not just flight with fallen angel wings, but she could summon starlight to shine on a point. Which could be to make things flashy and make them light up or burn people with beams of starlight. As well summoning a localized meteor shower"

At hearing all of that Izuku was especially thinking that he needed to better understand his authorities. As well as trying to gain more allies he could trust and bring up to his level. "Thank you aniki. For both the information and for the lessons. Though I'm guessing you've given the same to our sisters as well." Jonathan chuckles a bit as they continue to walk on. While the rest from UA are just stunned at the sheer crazy abilities that were described belonging to two others just like two in front of them

(The day the Jonathan showed up at UA)

In a shady bar across town Kurogiri warped in and set the unconscious Tomura down. A screen above the bar lit up and the shadowy villain heard his master call out. "What happened? Didn't you infiltrate UA?" Kurogiri looked down at his charge before gulping. With a shuddering breath he explained that someone stopped them. "he said you would know him master. He also said to pass along a few messages."

At hearing that the villain All For One was confused. Wondering who could know him and would make threats to him. He tells Kurogiri to deliver the messages, after Tomura has placed somewhere to rest. "He said to ask how the wound he left you 200 years ago was feeling? And that you'll always be a fake. And now you have a real demon lord being here at all times. And you'll be nothing more than a low-level demon."

At hearing that, AFO's entire body tenses up. He suddenly feels as if ice water had filled his veins and he remembers the incident that long ago all but ended him. How one man marched through his armies and cut them all down as if they were nothing. Even the strongest quirks barely phased him. Even all of the quirks he collected were not enough. He then reaches down to the cuts the mad cowboy had left on him. And thinks on what was removed from his body. He starts to hyperventilate a bit before trying to calm down. "Master?" Kurogiri asks as he can tell his master was panicked.

AFO calms down enough to say he will tell him and Tomura more about it later. "I need a moment. This is a more terrifying memory than I would care to remember." Kurogiri bows and walks away to tend to Tomura. While AFO is worried about another thought. 'There will be a true demon lord just like him here soon?! If that is the case….. what chance does Tomura have against that?'

Well that does it for this chapter. I hope I captured enough of the fight in my writing. Also, I'll eventually get into the other Campione showing up.
