The Heroic God Slayer
Chapter 10
So the first half of this chapter will be more about AFO warning Tomura off of trying to attack UA. Especially if Jonathan is still going to be around. And I'm going to give the backstory of what happened between the two. And why he's so afraid of the first Campione. So on with the show.
(No POV)
"We'll have to put any of our plans on hold. Indefinitely." AFO said with a nervous sigh after Tomura had woken up. Even without seeing his teacher's face, he knew the man was rattled to his core. "Sensei, why won't you let me kill All Might? And try to kill this new interloper as well?" Tomura asked with a twisted pleading look.
AFO let out a tense breath before saying, "That man is not a new threat. In fact he's been around longer than I have." At this statement, the young man is shocked. The doctor then comes in and asks if he had some kind of quirk that let him live that long. "Is it similar to the one I gave to you?" the doctor asks from his hidden lab. AFO shakes his head before saying, "no. His age predates quirks by at least 50 years. He's something much more terrifying."
At hearing that all those listening are stunned and concerned. Except for Tomura. He's just chomping at the bit to fight this man that his teacher feared. AFO takes another shuddering breath, before saying he had a longer story to tell.
(Flashback AFO POV)
It was not long after I had awakened and perfected my quirk to a point. I had become the leader of the Japan at that point. For all intents and purposes. With more quirks awakening from all kinds of people and sources, I was gaining followers and enemies. But I made sure to purge and defeat the strongest ones I could before taking their quirks.
After a time I relaxed my worry about who I thought could challenge me. Even my foolish younger brother was locked away. But then…. Some of my subordinates attacked and meddled with something they shouldn't have.
A few who enjoyed using their quirks for larceny had attacked and robbed a museum. Aside from killing a few guards, they stole and damaged multiple artifacts from around the world. Hoping to sell them to anyone who was still wealthy. Unfortunately, none of us in the world knew that all the museums had a special guardian. One who knew who stole the items, as well as who they worked for.
The day started sunny and bright when my people arrived with the items they had stolen. But in an instant, the sun was gone and it appeared that night had fallen. We couldn't explain it, and then came the other unsettling effects. A rainstorm appeared out of nowhere, with a fog across the ground. I thought it might be a mix of my enemies hoping to defeat me. So I prepared the army I had gathered. 10,000 strong, with exceptional quirks that I had either created or enhanced in a few ways.
When a report finally came in on who or what we were facing….. I thought we would have no problem. It was only one man against an army of the best I could make or afford. How painfully wrong I was.
The first few of my soldiers engaged the stranger with their quirks ready to fight. One of my most loyal with a body made of stone and nearly double the size of a normal man tried to crush the invader with his fist. From what I say with quirk and screen… the man stopped ten tons of pressure…. With his pinky finger.
And then demolished his arm with a flex of it. While my man was screaming, the cowboy jumped up and used a downward chop at him. I thought it was nothing. But then it happened. The parts of him slide apart. With one move, he cleaved one of my best in half.
The rest were shocked at first but they shook out of it and tried to engage the man themselves. Even as a mob and pack. But he went though them all. He drew blades from somewhere and started slashing though them one after another. At first with a stern face. But it eventually turned into a sadistic smile.
One group of mine had elemental quirks and tried to engage him as well. But he turned each of their powers against one another. Causing those with fire quirks to burn plant and wood manipulators. Then trapping the fire wielders inside of bubbles of water. And slowly drowning them. While ice wielders were frozen from the inside out by the man with his own ice manipulation.
I thought that the earth and lightning wielders would be able to do something, but he was ready for them. With one move he made trees grow out of nothing and drew the lighting they fired off. And earth….. he was behind them in an instant. Slicing them down one after another. Though one he decided to make more of an example of. After destroying a woman with mud manipulating powers arm's, he wrapped a string of magatama around her neck. He then raised up his hand, and a strange bloom appeared in the air. Then he snapped his fingers and a vine shot out of the bloom, grabbed the magatama, and hoisted her up into the air. He left her there while he dealt with the rest. Slowly choking the life out of her.
Then with a roll of his eyes at the few who were still standing, he pointed to them. And suddenly trees burst forth from the ground. Piercing them from underneath and coming out at their necks. This continued for many others. Each killed without restraint or hesitation. Some in more horrific ways that what I have described. Have you ever seen a seed shoved down a person's throat, and the plant inside rapidly grows until it pierces through the body? Turning the skeleton into little more than ornaments on the macabre tree? I have. And he did this to a few of my soldiers.
It didn't take him half an hour before he had killed over 8,000 of my troops. None of them could stand in his way. I thought that the members who were closest to me might be able to calm him or defeat him by attacking his mind. Yet again I was wrong. Many of them went insane after he used another strange power. Something that made them… a few of them described it as hearing all thought in the world at once. It was so maddening that they took their own lives.
When 45 minutes had passed, it was down to me and 100 of my best. But they didn't even faze him. Some he got up close to them and then disappeared. With the man returning moments later. When I asked what had happened, he had a cruel smirk on his face before telling me. "I thought a few of them might like to see what else was out there. Such as dropping a few into the fires and pits of Muspelheim. Or taking a few to meet Hel in Helheim. That and leaving a few in the coldest parts of Nifleheim." The cowboy said with a bit of a cruel chuckle.
That was when a few left telepaths attempted to work together to attack the man's mind. Channeling it through my strongest telepath. She tried to break through more and more, but it never worked. Then with an annoyed sigh, he wrapped the magatama strings around his arms. And fired away at the rest. Perforating them as if the were little more than paper. The telepath that was left tried to get away, but he caught up to her quickly. Grabbing her face and picking her up like it was nothing. I don't know what he did, but he brought her gaze to his eyes and she started screaming more and more.
My strongest lieutenant at the time attempted to stop the man, but he was quickly caught as well. And his quirk did nothing against him. Just like the telepath, he had him by the face. But he decided to end the man a different way. By slowly crushing his skull in his hand. While the telepath… she died of fright from what it seemed like.
Then his attention was turned to me. And I was furious. I asked him what this was about, why he attacked us. "Its because you're boys messed with something I had a personal interest in keeping safe and untouched. And just so you know, you are not the first who has done this. You're just the most recent. You pitiful little animal." He said to me. I took offense to that and told him I was the ruler of this land. It's demon king.
How naive I was. I used the best quirks that I had kept for myself, but it didn't matter. He deflected, canceled, and broke through them as if it was nothing. In less than five minutes, I was beaten. Most of my bones broken, and barely able to move. He did another strange move and pinned me to the ground with chains. I couldn't move.
It was then he told me what he was going to do. "I'm going to ingrain how pathetic you and those worthless mutations of yours are, into every fiber of your being. So you will realize that you are no demon king. That you are barely even a low level demon compared to me."
And he did just that. For…. I don't even know how long it was. Hours? Days? Maybe weeks? He took me apart and destroyed me again and again. Crushing my body with boulders, pummeling me with his fists. He even used the elemental powers he had to freeze me to death, or burn me alive, or electrocute me. He even removed all the bones he could from my body. The feeling of slowly being cut open, then piece by piece, he turned my body inside out.
And the worst part? I could never die from it. And I could never just go insane. Every time he was finished with one torture or another, he would heal my body and mind. Over and over again he kept doing it. I couldn't even sleep. When he would rest for periods of time, he stared into my eyes. And I was bombarded with visions of all sorts of other tortures.
And then suddenly he stopped. He didn't let me up right away and he had a something to tell me. "You should be grateful to that brother of yours. I intended to keep this up for a bit longer. But….. his conviction is enough that I'm willing to trust him. But before I go, I'm going to leave you with one last mark. So, you never forget about how pitiful you are."
He drew a sword from his back that seemed to be made of flame. I thought it was just going to be another round of burning alive. But he just burned off my clothes. And pointed his blade at…. My parts that make me a man. And he slowly with that burning sword cut them off. Making sure I was awake and conscious for the whole matter. And then burning them to ash in front of me before leaving.
(Flashback end No POV)
"So you see young Tomura, that I why… you cannot fight him. And we will have to forestall any attempts on All Might's life for the time being." AFO finished while shivering from the memory of his defeat and destruction. Even the defeat at All Might's hands could never be compared to what that mad cowboy had put him through.
Shigaraki though was more furious and still wanting to go after UA. As well as the man who had destroyed his teacher. But at the same time he knew he couldn't go against him and that he had a point. "Perhaps what you need is a bit of outside aid." A voice called out to all of them in the bar. They couldn't see who it was, and it was unsettling to say the least.
Kurogiri was the first to ask, "who's there? Where are you?" "You don't need to worry about that undead. Lets just say, I'm curious what this new king of Japan can do. And I would be willing to aid you in not only testing the boy….. but removing the first king of this age," the voice said. While AFO is more warry of this presence, Tomura is more than willing to get some more aid. "If you can act as strong summon or similar, I'd love to have your help. And destroy this age of heroes."
A laugh is heard throughout the bar and then the voice said, "Very well. You need not tell me when the time for this battle is. I know roughly when it will happen. Until that time, keep this close. It will summon me when you have need." At that, a wind whips through the bar out of nowhere. And what it left on a barstool, is a single silver feather.
(UA the day after the battle with Jonathan)
After the stressful and destructive day against the first Campione, Izuku was hoping to have a break from danger. And his hopes were dashed when the man was standing inside his classroom. Jonathan looked back from the window with a smile. "Hey kid. Don't worry, I'm not gonna make you fight right away. I just wanted to get here a bit earlier for some other business. I just thought I'd mess with you a bit." Jonathan says with a little laugh.
Izuku just sighs before asking, "so what exactly do you have planned for me today?" "Why ruin the surprise? For you and your classmates." Jonathan said with a growing smile. One that had Izuku on edge. "Hey Izuku, why are you just- OH MY GOD!" Ochaco said then shouted at seeing Jonathan again. The man just gave her and the others who were arriving a two-finger wave before he told them he was waiting for Nezu.
When the principal arrived, he was unsettled seeing the man again. That was until Jonathan mentioned he was just here to talk about the budget for the repairs. Nezu then let out a sigh of relief and asked the man to come with him to his office. The first Campione nodded and followed behind the rodent principal.
"So, Midoriya. Any ideas on what he's got in mind this time?" Kirishima asked with suspicious look. Izuku just shrugged before saying he has no clue. "We may both be Campione, but we have very different personalities and powers. I doubt I've even seen half of what he can do." Izuku says before getting out his textbooks. Xeimei concurs with this statement. Saying, "a lot of details and even information were lost because of the advent of quirks. We only really know the few he's demonstrated or been willing to describe the Greenwich Assembly."
A few of the others sigh with worry. But then Mineta decided to bring up a curiosity of his. "So what was with that whole kissing thing you did with Sun?" Mineta asked, with slight perversion etched on his face. Izuku rolls his eyes before saying, "that was just the most efficient way of transferring the power of Momotaro's dog to Xeimei. And we she does that to me its because I'm a Campione. Magic, including teaching magic has to be inserted or drank…. You get the idea. For it to even work. Xeimei?"
With that Xeimei creates a fire spell and fires it at Izuku. Right as it gets close to him, the magic completely dissipates. Not even an ember in the air or on the ground. Ida starts freaking out and berates both of them for recklessly using powers in the classroom. One that Aizawa mirrors as he walks into homeroom.
For the most part the day goes as usual. Even the hero classes are normal for the most part. With both 1-A and 1-B working together to practice teamwork and breaching a location with villains inside. But the second half of the heroics class is interrupted by Jonathan again. Upon seeing him a few students hide behind one another to avoid being affected by any strange new power he would show.
"All right calm down. Good work on the entrance strategies by the way. Very efficient. Now then. As much as I'd like this to just be an Izuku lesson… I think we can make good use of the others here to see what he could really do… And I know just how to do it." Jonathan says with a relaxed look at first. Then it slowly grew into a devious smile.
Izuku gulped at the devious look on his brother's face and asked, "is there any way we could do this without them?" "Oh sure there is. But that wouldn't be any fun now would it." Jonathan says with a wide smile before waving his hand. All of the sudden, a magic circle appears beneath all of the students a few teachers and they disappear from sight and the current plain of existence.
Izuku's eyes open after the flash of light to see that he and a few others are falling toward a lake. The ones beside him are Reiko, Mina, Momo, and Kirishima. "Oh for the love of! Get ready! Yaoyorozu you might be on your own! Kirishima, grab Mina!" Izuku calls out before moving closer toward Reiko. Momo meanwhile nods before creating a parachute for herself. Kirishima then gets close to Mina and brings her in close. And then hardens up his body for the impact into the lake. Izuku does much the same with Reiko.
When they splash down, they both get the wind knocked out of them. Mina and Reiko then work to bring them up, so they don't drown. Momo meanwhile directs herself toward the shore and lands with less issue. "AH! Okay! That hurt." Izuku says as they make it to the shore.
"Where the heck are we?" Mina asks while looking around the strangely picturesque landscape in front of them. "Hold on. I'll make a gps to give us a location." Momo says while taking off her parachute. Izuku though looks around and hums before he notices something on the water.
Momo meanwhile is very confused. "That's strange. It doesn't seem to be working. I'm not getting a reception from any satellites." "You probably won't Yaoyorozu. I don't think we're on earth anymore" Izuku says with a gulp. He is still looking out at the water, so the others follow his gaze.
Suddenly from the water, leaps a pair of entities. They look like humans, but also have seal like features. The two then pop their heads up a bit and look at the humans with curiosity. They suddenly dive down and a few moments later, they appear again. They then take off the seal like form and before the students are two attractive human looking people. Both of whom are naked.
This makes all of the teens blush, with the girls turning around a quietly screaming. Kirishima meanwhile is trying not to look, but his nose is already bleeding. Izuku keeps it together for the most part. He then asks, "can you tell us where we are?" But not in Japanese. He took a guess and used Norwegian to speak to the two strangers. The woman notices how shy Izuku is and gives him a teasing smile before saying, "why you are in Vanaheim little one. Care to swim with we selkies?"
So sorry if the description of what my self insert character did to AFO was a bit too much. But honestly, I just went with what I could all imagine that I wish I could do to Tomura, AFO, Overhaul, and Garaki. And I may have gotten a bit excited while writing it. I might have a problem. Anyway….. USJ will happen. But with a twist. Please review, and sorry again.
